Insurrection II Pure Extreme

Smells identical to Mancera Cedrat Boise Intense. I can't believe it hasn't caught on or gotten more attention for that. Very nice, VANILLA heavy scent. Very specifically similar to the intense version of Cedrat Boise, a bit richer and more leathery than the original Cedrat Boise.

It's clearly modeled after the famous Creed Aventus which has been cloned to death now. Certainly the DNA is there. This is a very clean blend of sweet, fresh, citrus, pineapple, vanilla, wood, herb and patchouli musk aromas. It's got a nice strong fruit opening that dries down into a soft tropical fruit and powder drydown. This is a very pleasant and uplifting fragrance that would appeal to those who like the modern Creed, Montblanc and Paco Rabanne style of sweet and fragrances. For Aventus lovers, it lacks the famous intensely strong birchwood note in the opening that people love. Of course, so does Aventus itself now and that costs hundreds of dollars. This comes at an excellent price point from discounters and delivers high quality for that dollar. Of course, many criticize the newer modern style of fragrances as appealing to the younger social media addicted demographic and that applies here as well. This is great for younger users, not so much for older more mature ones who would like a more serious fragrance. If you enjoy the Aventus, Invictus, 1 Million, this is definitely up your alley. This is unisex and great for warmer weather and the outdoors. Performance is good with decent sillage, projection and longevity. Recommended.

Initially it's a little darker than Insurrection II Pure, but certainly not in that "Smokey Batch" Aventus territory I was hoping for - really miss that gorgeous smokey birch-tar accord that disappeared almost completely from Aventus in about 2016. However, after 10-15 minutes Pure Extreme is a much fresher, almost airy, type scent that drifts more into the Mont Blanc Emblem swim lane. Sadly, it also sits very close to my skin after the first 30-minutes or so. Performance is disappointing in that it's pretty much vaporware in less than 4-hours. Shame! Overall not a bad inexpensive fragrance at all, and it's certainly more of an Aventus variant than it is a clone like the original Insurrection II Pure. As far as Aventus Cologne goes...well, to me Insurrection II Sport is a much closer copy with Janan Sport (J. Jamshed/J. Fragrance) is being the better option and quite excellent...but I need to spend more time with both. Cheers!

I agree with Tony below. This is so much closer to Cedrat Boise than Aventus. Being a clone oil, it’s always going to lack the punchy fruity opening, but the vanillic dry down is spot on. The opening gives you an immediate idea of what the dry down is going to be. Vanilla with the patch and cassis note playing gin the background. Longevity is well above average. Projection is average. I would wear this year round simply by varying the sprays. Overall, it a good fragrance. If you can find it for under $25...it a good value.

I mostly get spicy up front but fresh with a bit of vanilla and slight lemon and not much else. This doesn't seem as strong as insurrection pure 2 or emperor (only ones i've tried from this line/brand). Not as much sillage or longevity compared to those. Dries down to sweet spicy after a couple hours and stays until it fades. Didn't really have any expectations but not bad.

This smells very similar to montblanc explorer as well as Armaf Club De Nuit Intense EDT but more so of the original version of insurrection pure II but less fruitier. The opening on this fragrance is also harsh same with CDNIM EDT but settles after a few minutes. The performance on this is very subtle once it settles after 3 minutes. You would need to spray a lot just to smell this fragrance. I’m not sure what we’re they going with with this flanker but the longevity is okay not great. I guess they were trying to make this a more smoky batch of their original Insurrection pure II. This fragrance is definitely not as fruity as the original. Also please keep in mind this smells extremely synthetic after 15 minutes I get a lot of metallic notes from this. This tried to better a better version of its older brother but it failed miserably. This smells like a lemon cleaning product you would use to mop your floor tiles with.

This is a bit redundant, isn’t it? It seems like they were trying to go for a smokier batch of Aventus, but the reality is Insurrection Pure Extreme dies pretty quickly before the smoke gets a chance to rise. Regardless, why clone Aventus again? I thought the blue bottle was hinting at maybe, I don’t know, Sauvage? Bleu de Chanel? YSL Y? Elysium maybe? No, it’s just a slightly darker Aventus. For those of you that rely on cheaper Aventus alternatives, stick with Club de Nuit Intense Man (Limited Edition Parfum if you can). Give Mont Blanc Explorer a shot. Or even just the original Insurrection Pure. Unless you want a cool looking bottle for $20.

The opening is one of the closes to Aventus more so than other clones, but that’s where it ends. The dry down goes beyond sweet Smokey sort of like an ashtray smell then that calms down some and then you get a little less of the ash smell and some more of the wood. But now it’s a dim scent, barely detectable unless you put your nose on your skin. If you are looking for an Aventus clone, CDNIM 1st, by Armaf, Or Silver Supremacy 2nd by Afnan.

Now if you want a real Aventus COLOGNE for a cheap price, the rather unknown Insurrection II Pure Sport got your needs. You'll thank me later.
