Rhizome 06

#1549 in my "Tour de Fragrance" Got this as a decant. Ambery, musky, floral. Iris does not come off excessively feminine to me as white floral and rose notes do, and even without the wood and leather it reminds me of Amouage "Interlude Black Iris", which also has a dominant iris note. The initial projection is huge, but moderates after an hour or so. The myrrh helps it last till lunch, which most citrusy scents do not do. Normally I would class a scent like this as too floral for me, but I thought that about Black Iris before a half dozen beautiful women I know buried their noses in my chest and neck with comments like, "Ohmigod, you smell amazing!" Only Black Iris has ever produced that response and I suspect this one will as well. So it's going on the buy list. I consider this date wear. Not sure I'd wear this in the office, but women certainly can. No one will be offended, though it would be a bit much in a long winter car ride with the windows up. This strong iris is something you'd want them to catch walking by, and still get hints of after a concert date and such, but not be surrounded by with no escape for a long commute. This is a heavenly perfume! I won’t bore you with chitchat about notes, etc. instead, I want to say this perfume makes me giddy with happiness! I just bought a different full bottle of fragrance (Sirenide by Beaufort.) and this came as a sample... I sincerely wish I could send this full bottle back that I bought and trade it for a full bottle of Rhizome 6! It has a lot of Florentine Iris in it, and I think that’s my weakness! Actually, I think my weakness is perfume...

Smells like one of those candy necklaces, in a good way

This is absolutely beautiful, but wow does it ever whisper. I need to hold my wrist to my nose to smell this. Judging by a few other reviews, I’m wondering if the ambergris used here is making me miss something, as I can be anosmic. This is in no way a loud fragrance to my nose. It’s very soft and powdery sweet. I cannot stop burying my nose in my wrist - ugh, it’s really pretty. It reminds me a lot of Ana Abiyedh Poudree, despite the note breakdown. Poudree projects much better with enough similarity that a full bottle of this is likely unnecessary in my collection. If you love a whisper of a scent with stunning powdered sweetness, you will love this. I wish it was spoke up just a tiny bit more.

Never heard of this brand but stumbled across it today. Tried No.6. It's a very soft, sweet and powdery scent. Can definitely be unisex. It kind of reminds me of Clean Reserve 'Skin', to the extent that it's a "your skin but better" vibe. However this is much softer and more powdery. Clean skin is more musky and floral. Although lovely I'm not sure that I would buy it though. I'm not a fan of the packaging/aesthetic of the bottles.
