Candy Darling Candy Says

Noticed this has only been reviewed once, and I actually like the smell of Carmex! I don’t get that, nor do I really get any of the main notes listed, I def get wintergreen for sure, though it isn’t a minty perfume at all. I wanted to LOVE this because, a) the notes were very up my alley, b) my nick name is Candy, and c) I’m a Warhol lover, so I can appreciate a perfume dedicated to a Warhol actress/muse whatever you wanna call her. I thought it would be cool. The first time I sprayed it I was overly generous as I didn’t think I was getting enough. And it smelled fine, but nothing like I hoped. This time around I just sprayed it once on my inner elbow and it seemed to have lasted longer and have a stronger projection which are two things I want with my perfumes, but unfortunately it smells like an upscale department store perfume, there isn’t anything unique and being a lily lover, I get ZERO lily or jasmine whatsoever, there’s obviously some sweetness to it, but also don’t pick up on the woody notes except at the very beginning. Honestly I think that’s when it smells the best, when it’s first sprayed, but after it settles, at least this time around, I got a different reaction to last, it was stronger but also more cloying, and picked up on a licorice note which I hate the smell of. I’m surprised that’s not listed or anise, but I’m not willing to give up on this, so I’m hoping the next time I try it it’s gonna impress me. I put it as an ok but hoping for better outcomes so it will become a like at the very least. Great name, great idea, and great notes, but there’s either too much going on to detect the main ones, or it’s not mixed well or just doesn’t smell right on me...
