Dànbāgū Royal

I don't usually like to review perfumes after just a quick application... But this one has captivated me, and I just can't resist! This perfume has a very unique and distinctive scent, with an opening that can be challenging due to its high intensity and blend of powerful notes. However, after about five minutes, as the perfume settles on the skin and develops, it becomes absolutely wonderful. It's a fragrance where I struggle to identify individual notes because everything is so well blended, but what I can say is that for me, the most prominent aroma is that of rice with hints of liqueur. The tobacco is also quite noticeable in the background, adding an aromatic and slightly smoky touch to the creamy coconut and rice blend, making the fragrance even more interesting. There's also a blend of intense spices. As it dries down, the oud emerges, presenting itself as a dark wood in the background, neither harsh nor animalic; the benzoin adds a slightly sweet, ambery note; and the iris, while not a main note, complements the rice, enhancing the powdery feel. DANGABU Royal is creamy, lactonic, powdery, spicy, and subtly woody and ambery. It's a marvel and an olfactory gem that the creator brings back from his travels through Asia, representing ancient Chinese culture. In short, a perfect 10 and incredibly versatile perfume.
