Dark Side

Noticed that I didn’t write anything about this stunning fragrance yet while I’m wearing it quite often. I like how acidic it is. Almost like some kind of a vinegar. Its notes in the mix give off this vibe to me. It’s full of natural sour citruses without bitterness - they’re just acidly sour. Hinoki is a sweeter and softer thuja to my nose and it’s beautiful! Not coniferous as other fir notes usually are. This sweetness is bitter and sharp yet so soft! The gunpowder note is amazing. It’s light. The lightest metallic and ashy note here. Ambroxan/Ambergris stand like a base here, they’re just on the background. And yet all of the notes are both light and dark. Like when a ray of the sun in the cold morning touches a dark alley. I hate light stuff and the sun in general, but here... It’s a game of that cold evil and maybe cruel even light in the dark mysterious alley full of Hinoki or thuja bushes. Sounds like some early spring when you can still notice ice on tree branches and grass. And sounds like a confusing disappointment a bit. Like if you shoot someone in that alley but it was a miss and no one died while you wanted that. Sounds like some episodes of Poirot (that old English series), honestly. I can’t say it’s lonely, it’s more about clean icy air and a dark mysterious alley of Hinoki. I won’t say it’s a safe blind buy tho. May give you weird feelings. I recommend to test it first. Oh ok, grandson’s song “Darkside” may suit here somehow.
