RiRi

I love RiRi. I've never tried flavored rum. RiRi smells like a kind of delicious, small-batch flavored rum that is bottled on a distant tropical isle. Mixed in with the sugar cane prior to fermentation are lots of fruit juices and jungle flowers and vanilla pods. When sipped, you can taste the fruit and vanilla, and this rum is wonderfully sweet and refreshing. RiRi to me is best when first sprayed, when the big explosion of potent freshness is delivered by the alcohol. Although I'm not much of a drinker, I do like rum, and the rum note is at its most potent here. It's the note that made me curious about trying RiRi, and it does not disappoint. Sweetness now surrounds- a wonderful juicy, fruity vanilla sweetness. There is something sharp lurking *very* distantly, possibly the cassis, that imposes a tiny bit of an edge so the sweetness does not smother. RiRi is quite sweet. I reach for it when I want sweet; simple, satisfying, uncomplicated sweet. It's like knowing there is a box of your favorite tropical fruit-chunk popsicles in the freezer, waiting for you. The florals have been thoroughly muddled by the bartender and have lost their identity, so I would not describe RiRi as floral at all. I am not a fan of benzoin. Musk is ok, as is sandalwood. But these notes never appear on me. RiRi never "darkens," though it does deepen a bit. The fruitiness recedes slightly and the vanilla/rum takes center stage. RiRi remains sweet, sweet, sweet. RiRi is my "just before bed" fragrance. It continues to get sweeter the longer I wear it, which is very comforting. It's the fragrance equivalent of a lullaby. And while I am crazy about gourmands, and RiRi is certainly gourmand, it's a simple gourmand. It is also rather fleeting on my skin. RiRi is inexpensive and readily available, so I can spray to my heart's content. In the morning, however, I'm going to select a more durable scent like La Belle, or La Nuit de Tresor Nude, where I can spritz it once or twice and get a good six hours of wear out of it. RiRi lasts about three hours before it becomes a skin scent. Personally, I would not wear RiRi to work. It is just a little too sweet, and would need to be reapplied. But it is the perfect around-the-house, going-on-errands kind of a scent. I do think it would be fun if RiRi were available in a full-strength parfum form that would be purchased at a department store. I like the formulation of RiRi very much, so I would love to try a more super-concentrated version that you dab on, which would last till the next morning. The bottle would be super fancy, too. I really enjoy having RiRi in my fragrance arsenal, and will always keep a bottle around. It doesn't smell like any other fragrance I've encountered. RiRi is that slightly oversized cute t-shirt in your dresser with a silly image or funny saying on it that you wear around the house. It may not be the epitome of glamour, but it is super comfortable, it's reliable, and it never fails to make you smile.

I did a review of this on youtube about a year, and a half ago, and in that time, I am starting to agree with what others are saying. I do get the BBW Pink Chiffon similarities the more I smell RiRi. To me RiRi is grown up a little more than Pink Chiffon due to the rum. I've gone through a whole 8oz body cream of Pink Chiffon sometime in 2015. What I would like is Rihanna to make a perfume with champagne in it. I can really smell the vanilla passion fruit, and a slight rum. To me the silage on RiRi is better than Pink Chiffon I think it's due to the rum in RiRi, and because Riri is EDP, and Pink Chiffon is EDT, if you have that instead of the body mist. I would say percentage wise Riri is between 60 and 70% similar to Pink Chiffon. Also I really like the bottle for this it's very heavy, and sturdy one of my favorite perfume bottles, even though I don't drink. I don't feel like this perfume fits the bottle, with rum in it you think it would be a little edgier, but it's not. To me this perfume is nice, and simple. A people pleaser sweet in my opinion more for the younger crowd. To me her best, and most mature perfume is Rebelle. Even though I really like Rogue Love. I should be getting Kiss by the end of the week, so we will see. Also if anyone is interested Younkers, Bon Ton Stores online has the 100ml RiRi for $30.

Summery Tropical Rum Drink & Beachy Vibes... Probably because of the rum note, but this smells to me like a Piña Colada scent (although there's no coconut note per se). All the notes are there, but I also get hints of overripe fruit, powdery creamy vanilla that leans to tonka bean and bouncy, beachy pink vibes. There's a lactonic quality here that could be coming from vanilla & gardenia (although gardenia isn't listed) with some sunscreen nuances. Performance is average or slightly above average for year round wear, although the profile is fun and summery, and I agree with the reviewer below who likened this to a tropical cocktail. Although this isn't a an exact dupe of anything I've smelt, I would put it in the family of scents like Yara Lattafa, Pink Vanilla Kiss Body Fantasies & Pink Friday Nicki Minaj. I just have a tester of this, but I've tested it a few times, and it's FB worthy for fans of summery, beachy scents. It's a love for me. Enjoy! Update 05/10/24: I was surprised to notice a few times that the trail is different than how it smells up close. I noticed it when I re-entered an elevator. I was getting freshly washed, damp hair with Herbal Essences. Nice surprise. Love.

Ok so that longevity meter is not correct or people need to spray this on clothes, got it today for my brothers gilfriend and had to try it, the notes are all correct and if you love Reb'l Fleur you will love this too, I don't need to say anything else about the smell, it's all listed above, starts with alcohol and quickly becomes sweet, like a little sister to Reb'l Fleur, don't believe every comment in here, it's a nice fragrance, if it was Chanel or some other major designer label people would go crazy about it...accidentally sprayed it on my pants (i was sitting) and 9 hours later it still smells amazing, I don't know why the low longivety vote but it isn't true, it's sweet and uplifting, good for all seasons. The bottle is not even close to what it looks like on the photo, the liquid isn't pink, it's translucent and if you hold a white paper behind it will show a little lavender color like liquid, it's an interesting design but without the cap, a heavy bottle and looking very nice on the shelf :) try it, I gotta say, the add fits to the scent, I dare to say, Marilyn Monroe would love it ;)

This is my all time favorite, it's very girly, youthful no any bad bone in it, sweet and playful and my husband loves it the most among all my other perfumes. I bought mine in CW store around 5 years ago it was in pink juice, now it's like clear apple juice color. ♥Scent: I dont pick out much of flowers in it, it's very well blended with fruity vanilla and honeysuckle that's all I can smell though out the entire 8hours wearing it, it's cute and bubbly, and an absolute head-turner! ♥ Longevity on me is solid 8hour+ ♥ Sillage is about arm length or more and you will leave a beautiful scent trail, people are going to smell you even you dont overspray it. ♥ It projects well for the first 4-5hours, and my husband can still smell it on me in the car after my 8hour shift, it's an absolute banger if you can still find it in the store. My 100ml bottle is now half way through, I really do need to repurchase it again, cuz i love it to bits♥♥♥♥
