Imperial Blue

PICTURE THIS: You're going shopping with your parents in a megastore; it practically has everything in it, including fragrances. You follow your dad as he also wants to get a new fragrance for himself, and you take this opportunity to cop a few scents for yourself too, and you come across a cylindrical box of Riiffs Imperial Blue with no tester bottle for it. So you pop up Fragrantica to see the notes and open YouTube for a review on it, and you see the thumbnail saying "BeTtEr ThAn VeRsAcE eRoS?!". For the price of under $30 (SGD for me), you pull the trigger, as it will be your first freshie scent. Lo and behold, you spray it on skin for the first time, and you take the first whiff. The top and base notes dance together in this beautiful tango, and your nose starts to levitate. Jokes aside: as my first blind buy, it is just an amazing scent, if people say this is a fruitier version of Versace's Eros. I wont even want to go anywhere close to that expensive asking price. The Apple and mint dance together beautifully to make way for the sage and geranium and soon enough the base of the tonkabean and sandalwood gives it a much stable and foundational woodiness, but not too much to contradict the freshness this scent is trying to express. when it comes to the drydown, it is just a really nice sandlwood frankincense base and with the top apple note still everso slightly remains there for some playfulness. performance and sillage wise, as for most freshies, even at lower prices like these, clearly dont last that long. on skin for me personally is 4 hours-5 max. Projection also has nothing for me to write home about, the base notes slightly helps with that if you do 5 or 6 sprays, but otherwise, for under 30$ USD, you seriously SERIOUSLY cant dislike this fragrance. Probable applications: A/C places (malls, airport etc.), a slighty cloudy day walk, Grocery runs, beach and places of the like what my nose gets: TOP: (out of 100% for each note section,[ obviously subjective]) Apple: 35% mint: 65% (dominant) MIDDLE: Geranium: 55% (slightly more dominant floral note) Ambrofix: (i have no idea what the hell this smells like,if i had to guess, this is giving the ever-so-slightly synthetic-ness to the middle notes) Sage-45% (subtle boost to the geranium) BASE: Tonka bean: 25% Frankincense: 50% (more dominant, hence uplifting the floral fresh top notes, not making it too woody) Sandalwood: 25% as with all noses, everything is IMO (subject to skin chemistry, weather applications, smell prefrences etc). Picked this up for the low and it is an absolute win. Out of the box, it’s about 85-90% close to Versace Eros EDT. The main difference is that it isn't as 'in your face' or screechy as the original; it's a bit smoother and milder. Longevity is decent (around 5-6 hours), but for the price, you can just overspray. I have a feeling that once I let this macerate for a few weeks, it’s going to turn into a total powerhouse. If you want the Eros DNA without the $100 retail price tag , this is a no-brainer.

As someone who's favorite fragrance of all time is Versace Eros, this fragrance slaps HARD. The opening is a more crisp fresh green apple, then dries down into this delicious fresh blue and vanilla scent. I still prefer Eros for its performance and scent profile, but this is a fantastic cheap alternative.

Had this, gave it to my son when i got the og EROS. I liked this better, son wouldn't swap with me...lol.

I like this more than eros. Just smells fantastic.

The opening for the first sprays is a bit alcohol-y, but the drydown is pretty good. The top notes fade off pretty quickly, ending in a smooth woody smell that's almost creamy. Projection is pretty good, but it doesn't have the best longevity, maybe lasted 2 hours or so, but the scent remains on my skin for around 7 hours. Pretty versatile and great value.

This is not a proper beat the high heat or humid fragrance. If you put this scent on high heat or humid condition, your headache will start. It's mostly a A/C room or evening perfume.

Fairly decent clone of Versace Eros, very close & pretty hard to tell apart, sadly just like Eros performance just isn’t great, good for the first hour with some tame projection then quickly fades, the original Eros was good before it was reformulated, really this performs about the same as Eros so save yourself the money & just buy this, only paid £15 for my bottle so it’s dirt cheap, this would be epic if it lasted longer, but for the money it’s ok & doesn’t really perform any worse than my current bottle of Eros.

Horrid . Buy eros edp and spray 10 sprays and let it sit for 3 months girls are going to love that .

Es raro encontrar un buen dupe de un perfume y aún más raro encontrar uno que sea mejor que el original. Este es el caso El Versace eros es muy malo en proyección y duración al menos los lotes actuales. El imperial blue es una bestialidad en proyección al menos las primera 2-3 hrs duración unas 5-6 lo mismo que el eros solo que este proyecta demasiado bien. El aroma es 1:1 con el eros de buena calidad y buen performace, su salida es cítrica mentolada y conforme va pasando el tiempo termina en una haba tonka de buena calidad. Compra totalmente recomendada

i get the connection to eros it does smell like it. this one is just a bit milder and not so in your face like eros. it also has a oriental note which i quite like but would say makes it stand out just a bit. otherwise for that price very nice scent and mass appealing

Opening is too minty and smells exactly like pdm sedley, once it dries down you definitely get eros
