Seasons Drift

I just got this and don't want to jinx anything, but so far this is my dream remix of the BDC DNA. I have tried a lot of "clones" of the DNA and they all sorely lacked the thing that makes the EDP so special to me: the dark, creamy, woody, incense dry down. Many clones have a lot of the notes just remixed in different ways. My recent purchase, prior to this one, was Xeena Imperial Blue, which was hailed as the ultimate BDC EDP clone, yet I found it to be very lacking. Enter Seasons Drift, my first foray into Riffs and my 5th fragrance purported "BDC killer". This was alleged to be a clone of the newest flanker l'Exclusiff. Upon initial spray, the atomizer mists a generous cloud. The smell is familiar yet different. I get a lot of BDC, a lot of something else. Usually this is the part where my heart would faint but alas INCENSE and lots of it! This certainly has the DNA, it's dense like the Parfum, not as dense as l'Exclusiff (which is a good thing in my opinion). Citrus, spice, incense, leathery labdanum, and amber. This composition drops most of the jasmine and all of the mint, which is just fine by me. To my nose, this is not l'Exclusiff, but I like it a lot more. It's l'Exclusiff adjacent, but not the same. I found l'Exclusiff to be the weakest entry in the series, not in terms of strength, but in terms of scent profile. l'Exclusiff is dense and monotonus once you get past the opening (which is basically a heavier version of the Parfum's opening) and settles into a mess of amber, and labdanum with some darker non-descript fixitives. SD is more like the Parfum with a heavy dose of dark burning incense and a beautiful almost animalic labdanum note. It's not overly heavy and seems like it do just fine in the early Spring and late Summer. I honestly love this so far, and I'm very hopeful that it changes for the better as it matures. I will update as time goes on. I am already very impressed with the projection and longevity, but I won't make any final judgements just yet. It did last over 8 hours on my skin, which is a great accomplishment as my skin eats fragrance.

Why did Fragrantica label this "for women" lol it's masculine af. I'll never go anywhere near the OG because of its ridonkulous price. 1 month in of wear - agree with genec123 that Seasons Drift is closest to L'exclusif compared to other flankers. The leathery labdanum makes it classy and grown up; not as juicy sweet as other flankers. Comparing to OG with my amateur nose - L'exclusif is very smooth, well blended and higher quality smelling but terrible performance. Sniffers at arm's length distance won't be able to tell the difference. At 10% of the cost, it's a no brainer. It has the unmistakable fresh zingy opening of BDC. Heart and drydown has the same vibe as Hugo Boss Bottled Elixir/Absolu. The resins are syrupy thick almost balsamic but not sour. As much as the bottle and packaging shows a beach it's aura is on the darker side but has a freshness that makes warm weather friendly. SPL is decent after a month of maceration. Projects for about 7 hours with skin scent up to 9 hours. Positive compliment factor. It's a new addition to my office scent rotation and people notice it! If BDC was your daily, have passed 35 years old, don't wanna break the bank ($25!) cause you got kids to feed now but feel the need to evolve your favourite scent profile; Season Drift is the one homies.

I just wanted to add more thoughts after I have had this for a few months and it has oxidized and matured. I don't blind buy often these days, for this one, I made an exception as it's a purported BDC l'Exclusiff dupe. BDC l'Exclusiff, this is not. It definitely sits adjacent to it. It opens somewhat similarly to BDC Parfum with the powderiness and citrus, amd aromatics, it sits over a bed of incense, labdanum, leather, sandalwood. It's not a perfect recreation of BDC in the opening, it suffers the same quality that many dupes suffer from, off balance and missing that special DNA that only the real ones have, although it does have some of the powdery facets. In the drydown, the fragrance completely changes and becomes deep, and resinous. It drops all of the citrus and aromatics and starts to radiate a sweet vanilla amber of smokey leather, dense and complex. I honestly like this much better than BDC l'Exclusiff. It doesn't smell just like it, but it's certainly a similar vibe. It is a lot fresher up top, and could be used in the Spring, but will still shine in the Fall and Winter. The summer might be tough if you are going to be outside in the day during the warmer months. Longevity is excellent, easily pushing 10 hours on skin, days on clothes.

I just bought this, so I'm not sure about longevity and such, but seems to last long by my limited testing. It needed no time to mature, it smelled great right from the start. It immediately became one of my absolute favourites, at least for summer. I'm sure it would work just fine in winter too but there I have so many options to try out. Had I known how great Seasons drift is, I wouldn't have waited so long to buy it. The silly bottle put me off, it looks like it's for children and I was confused by it being marketed as a scent for women. I guess a woman could wear it but it definitely doesn't smell feminine. It was a blind buy and I think it can safely be recommended as such. Dirt cheap and even if you don't love it as I do, you'll likely still think it smells damn good. Update: Never smelled Bleu de Chanel L'exclusif before but tried it in a shop today and Seasons drift comes close. I don't specifically look for clones to be exact copies anyway, it's just a good way to find great scents as blind buys.

Ok.. I wore this twice - once to test it and once to a rugby match - mid 20s Celsius outside. This did not have time to sit and it smells great! I smelled BdC L'Exclusive multiple times in store and this is not a 1to1 even without comparing them side-by-side. Does it have aspects of the BdC? Yes! But it also leans more towards Ferragamo Aqua Essenziale Blu, but fresher, smoother and better done overall. My suggestion : If you like Ferragamo AEB, but a little bit fresher, smoother, longer lasting and less expensive, go with Seasons Drift.. If you want something in the style of BdC L'Exclusif , this could work as long as you don't want a 1to1. As for performance, this is close to a beast without having time to sit. That being said, this is the type of fragrance that will make people go nose blind, so spray away from your neck and chest. I go on the arms, sides of my body and behind my ears. Hope this helps! Great scent but macerate it first. Right from the box, I got a dose of alcohol and a weird earthy note with wet leather. I started to question the reviews online and considered returning my purchase. BUUUUUTTTT... after letting it macerate for a couple of weeks; I realized exactly what was being said online. Opens with a very nice citrus note followed by a nice transition to the sage followed by woods and some hints of leather. I was having coffee and the waiter paid me with a compliment for the smell. I think the compliment says it all. I don't think it is a full BDC clone but I would agree to having the same DNA which is nice for all men looking for that style of fragrance.

Ignore @pity_squid's negativity below because this is one of the nicest scents I have ever tried. I currently own over 350 fragrances and have owned well over 400. I know what I'm talking about and this is exceptional. I haven't tried Blue de Chanel L'Exclusif because the price is insane, but for Chanel's sake I hope it smells as good as this because then it would almost be worth it. It does Drift quite a bit - this isn't linear. It opens with the fresh lemon peel which lasts for 2 - 3 minutes until the ambery woods take over and this fragrance takes off. Amber wood fragrances are everywhere these days and they all smell the same, but this is different, original and better.

This is exactly the same as bleu de chanel l'exclusif, but smells thicker. That is why the strong wood/incense base notes show up more than in the BDC. This is not blind buy safe. If you want a BDC EDP or Parfum similar scent, get club de nuit iconic. This is NOT LIKE THE EDP OR PARFUM. The people in the comments are wrong to compare this to those. It's very close to BDC exclusif, smells 85% as good quality wise, but is twice as strong and long lasting. Worth the money, 100% if you like exclusif, but i definitely recommend testing exclusif first as it is a divisive, non mass appealing fragrance due to the dry down.

I have BDC L'exclusif for comparison and it absolutely nails the essence of that. It's noticeably lighter, not so much of the heavy woody, leathery base of the original and more citrus but this might be the happiest I've ever been with a clone even if it's not 1:1. It's like a summer/ sport flanker of l'exclusif. Edit: It lasts as long as the real thing too. It does get a little funky smelling by the next day though (so does the Chanel) Also, take my positive review with a grain of salt, I'm happy with it but there's things that I'd rather wear most of the time. It's still a cheap clone at the end of the day.

I DO NOT KNOW WHY EVERYONE IS SAYING THE PERFORMANCE IS BAD. This is genuinely my top 3 longest lasting. This thing is nuclear I kid u not and it smells so good like genuinely bro. I’ve smelt bleu de chanel l exclusif and this is close but not quite there. BUT GUESS WHAT. This is better YES BETTER. This adds like a fresher appeal and tones down the gross licorice u get in the doir elixir and bleu de chanel l exclusif. This is easily one of my best pickups and everyone else is wrong bro they are gatekeeping.

Blind bought it from trendyol for an astonishing 10$ and i can say its really good for the price i coped it. I dont know how l'exclusif smells like but Riiffs Drift has 80% similarity in that BDC dna. Good to wear all seasons, performance is great around 6 hours on skin, with medium projection. Mature smell, its a classic blue scent with a twist. I dont think its that safe to blind buy, i got it due to the notes knowing which one i like. I totally think its worth to give it a shot if your a bdc fan !

Just received so this is a first impressions review. Very Tacky packaging tbh. Good job it smells bloody close to BdC L'Exclusif. I' d say it's 85% similar so far. Good atomiser with decent dispersion. I won't go into details yet until it's had sometime to settle. Definitely a year round scent and probably worthy of being a Signature scent. For the money it's a belting buy. I paid £21 delivered. If you like BdC just go out and buy this you won't be disappointed in the slightest..

Why people complain about performance, this thing stays on clothes for days and on skin with loud projection for 2 hours then goes mild for another 2 hours until it reach skin scent around 6hrs and completely gone by 8hrs. Scnet wise, you wont get that BDC DNA in the opening but similar vibe and get close to BDC in the drydown DISCLAIMER This review is writen after bottle sitting for 7 weeks

At first, when I saw many high ratings on the longevity and sillage I thought they are fake reviews, after I bought this perfume I can confidently say it is truly a beast with outstanding performance right out of the box, even without maceration. I bought my bottle a week ago and I am going to buy another one as back-up before they release new batches with lower performance.

BDC dna is one of my favorites, it’s a timeless classic and it’s still crushing it, Drift is a beautiful everyday all year round in my opinion office safe the citrus gives it that fresh aspect and dries down to a classic woody complement magnet scent, it’s an average performer 6-8 hrs after that it’s just a skin scent bottom line I’m pretty happy seasons drift.

I dont understand why people complain about this one. I dont know about the l’exclusif, but to me this is very much like Bleu de Chanel Parfum version, it maintains the citrus side but adds the dark, woody and ambery base which i think it s the best part of the Parfum version. Good fragrance this one, performance not bad either.

Haven't tried BDC L'Exclusif but to me this smells like the parfum flanker mixed with the ambery base of D&G The One. Fresh, safe, and beautiful. Very good performance too (last over 9 hours, overall projection is moderate). If you want a good dumb reach cheapie (I only paid $24!), this is it.

I don't put my nose on the original Blue the Chanel but riifs season drift is amazing and affordable. It's give you a fresh zesty feeling like you feel cool and ready for the summer....! I love the little bit of spiciness. Slightly sweet. Score: 8/10 Longevity: 7-8 hours Projection: 2 hours

Wow this smells good! I got it in a blind buy and so far I'm very impressed by its depth. It's very woodsy and ambery, but not cloying at the moment. I'll see how the dry down lasts but if this is a good dupe of Bleu I can see why it's popular. And a better price point!

I have Seasons Drift and Rayhaan Nocturn Elixir and I honestly believe that the opening of Seasons Drift is so much better, fresher though in the dry down both fragrances smell very similar – quality wise the Bleu l’Exclusif is better but the price is also a lot higher

If you like the l'exclusif version but dont want to spend the money, this one is a great alternative. Smells similar, good performance. The bottle and packaging is Nice but for me misleading since it is not suitable for hot Days, atleast for my taste.

Close to Chanel bdl but not the same smoothness and depth. Very close but the opening more sweeter and the dry down isn’t as clean as the og. I find I can wear the og even in 28celcius plus but not with this. But nonetheless good all year round

One of the best fragrance i ever tested and it's very close to Bleu de Chanel L'Exclusif and better than L'exclusif (my opinion) and the price is very good and it match with all four seasons. Trust me buy it before you buy L'Exclusif.

I'm not sure if the difference in experiences is due to QC issues, but my bottle that I just recently received is very powerful and long lasting. It projects noticeably for at least 3 hours and then is a skin scent for about 6.

This is nuts, I think it makes BDC redundant tbh. I am really picky what fragrances and tried this at a boutique on strip and skin..couldn't stop smelling my hand the whole day. Great performance too.

I think the title is wrong. This isn't for women. It's a masculine blue fragrance. A little bit cheaper smelling than Chanel (of course - of course). Performance is better than Chanel.

Zesty citrus up top, then woods, resin, and amber turn it darker, thicker, and more serious. Clean but grown, fresh yet leathery. Office-safe and surprisingly bold for the price.

After macerating for quite a while, it evolved into a much more pleasant and complex scent. For the price I think it's a good fragrance but it can be a bit overpowering.

Right out of the box this thing is a banger. Smooth just like the original. A bit less leathery but still amazing. Can’t go wrong with this one.

This is much smoother and better than Rayhaan Nocturno Elixir. I really liked this.

It is between the Parfum and Exclusive, it is not a direct clone of the Exclusive.

Bogus! That's the best way I can describe this. Nothing at all like BDCL to my nose. More like a slightly more sandalwood oriented version of the new Code EDP. The ratings for this are stupid over the top. This should maybe get a 3.50 rating and even that would be generous. This brand is not even close to brands like Lattafa or Fragrance World/French Avenue. I should have known not to believe the hype behind this crap. I was going to go with Nocturno by Rayhaan until I ran across a good deal on the BDCL, and that's what I should have done. But if you compare this to something similarly priced like Jasoor from Lattafa, there is no comparison!!! That stuff is so close to the original in scent profile and quality of ingredients, whereas this stuff is definitely notedly of lesser quality and you can easily tell. As far as performance, I got maybe 30-45 minutes of very soft projection and then at best 5 hours of nose close skin scent. I definitely recommend skipping this one and going with Nocturno, and I haven't even smelled that one but I have other Rayhaan's and they are far superior to this!

I do have to go up to bat for the longevity of this stuff. Idk what these other dudes are talking about weak and shortlived. I sprayed it at 7:30 this morning; two on the neck, one on my wrists. It is now 10:23 in the evening and someone who just entered the room about 15 feet away from me was able to immediately comment on how nice I smell. I do own the original BDC and it does not smell like that. L'Exclusif is honestly more subtle than this. This stuff is loud. All that said, this is good as a regular every day at work smell but I don't think it's really a panty dropper. The bottle is also really corny.

Its a pretty good scent, got it for 25 bucks which is very good for what you get, I smelt bdc lexclusif and you can instantly smell that it tried to clone it right of the bat, but you can feel that its not as high quality but it cant be help, its just like with bdc edp, you cant clone it, the scent is just on another level of quality, but seasons drift does give you the same vibe and and in the air the quality difference always becomes less pronounced Also, in the mid - dry down, they diverge further because seasons drift doesn't manage to capture the leathery dark aspect of bdc le

Although I wasn't satisfied with Bleu de Chanel L'Exclusif, it kind of destroyed the myth of Bleu de Chanel for me. We all know what it was like when it first came out, now these variations on the theme are really destroying the legend. I didn't buy Seasons drift because of OG, but because of him, it's great. First of all, the bottle is that you should never buy it and I wouldn't have if I didn't have a sample and try it on paper, the opening is nothing special, but the dry down is excellent. My recommendation, a perfume that everyone will like.

I bought it because the seller advertised it as similar to Bleu EDP, but when I received the product and tried it with my Bleu EDP, it was completely different... it was no longer fresh but instead had warmer notes of amber and wood; it smelled even stronger of amber than the Bleu Parfum version. It lasted a very long time on my skin, 7 to 8 hours, and I bought it for $29. The bottle design is ugly, the scent is okay, and I'll keep it in my closet for a few more months to see if it develops better since it's a new product.

I’ve had this for about 6 months now. I’m generally not a blue/fresh fragrance guy, but I picked it up as an easy spring/summer/office dumb reach Not here to compare it to every designer under the sun. Just wanted to say the performance has been solid in my experience. I keep seeing people say it disappears after an hour or two, but I honestly wonder how much of that is just nose blindness. Every time I’ve worn it, it’s stuck around the entire day.

I haven't seen anyone mention it before but i swear to god this stuff smells very similar to Davidoff The Game i got that instantly but the dry down is really something it settles into this woody leather then later it goes into this Sauvage Elixer this one of the strangest fragrances i've ever got. Also this is not for Women that should be changed on the site theres no way anyone could class it as a ladies fragrance.

Having never smelled BDC LE, this to me is a powdery blue/aqua scent that is thick at first spray but a hint sweet and smooth after a few minutes. Very masculine, but clean and fresh as well. Someone below said SWY, not at all. I’d compare the first whiff to baby powder? Odd i know but baby powder if it smelled like a pure sport Old Spice deodorant . the dry down is definitely where it’s at, very addicting to smell.

Absolute bang for your buck, so glad I was able to find a guy selling this fragrance for $30 in my area. I have lexclusif and drift honestly is so similar it’s crazy, but drift has a more playful and outgoing vibe to it rather than a sophisticated, reserved vibe. I honestly love the fact I can spray this without any guilt on pulling the trigger. So sensational and worth every penny.

I haven’t smelled BdC L’Exclusif, so thats that, the fragrance itself is warm. it kinda reminds me of some domestos toilet cleaner, probably cuz of the lemon zest in the oppening, overall its a nice fragrance, i would not say it smells cheap. i got this as a blindbuy. I rate this a 7/10

Whoever compares this fragrance to L’exclusif is because it hasn’t smelled L’exclusif . Not even close . This gets closer to Viking from creed than any Bleu de Chanel

Overall a nice day date scent! Having not smelt Bdc exclusive I can't really compare, but for the price point it's a good scent profile

Straight up bleu de chanel clone. Doesn't smell like l exclusive -no smokiness/darkness. Very bright linear

I blind bought this thinking it was a unisex frag and because I'm a huge fan of bdc. I expected a lot more from this frag seeing the positive reviews online and many comparing it to bdc exclusive .Even though I have no idea what bdc exclusive smells like I'm sure it's not this! You'll recognise the BDC DNA initially but then it becomes this messy mix of everything. A complete letdown for me. I might gift this to my wife since I just found out this is a woman's perfume. I'm disappointed, I had such high hopes for this one but even after letting it sit for a while ,it didn't get better... In conclusion: If you think you're getting a quality perfume with BDC DNA you're wrong! I don't know what this supposed to be but I'm pretty sure it's not bdc exclusive. I'd say it's a stand alone frag trying to be something in the BDC line. I'll give it an ok because there are much much worse perfumes that I blind bought.

As a huge fan of all things BDC, I am very disappointed. To me it is perhaps 65% similar to l'exclusif. It's less of a rich deeper wood, and more like lighter but strong sandalwood and resin, especially for the first hour to me the resin and amber is quite prominent almost giving a sort of caramel note, which is not too back but does eventually get a little sickening alongside the sandalwood. By the dry down it's basically just 70% sandalwood, with nothing much else, and actually reminds me a lot of Bentley for men Absolut which I hated, just a bit less intense. Of course now it's time to macerate but I won't hold my breath.
