Cherry On Top

Rirana "Cherry on Top" Notes: Caramel, Vanilla, Cherry, White Musk, Chestnut, Leather, Suede, Jasmine, Amber, Tea It is now Winter!!! In the past, only about twice did I try roasted chestnuts over the fire.. They had a slightly starchy moisture and a clean earthy flavor. You could taste like--the minerals from the Earth or something. Like no other. Right--'only twice and like no other'. Do you visit Earth often? Straight on: Opening Cherry is really natural and the Chestnut is really right there along with a Caramel which I normally loath but just bursting with joy on this caramel. I am a lover of all Cherry Scents--Tom Ford Lost Cherry is different from this fragrance. Jacque Fath, 'Red Shoes'( actually berry, I think.) Cherry Punk which I just love. Lastly, Lolita Limpika Cherry is a real treat. Side Rant and Not Cherry: Try Lolita Limpika Au Masculine as it has a dash of anise. Have quite a few 'L.L.' When I want a fun fragrance that is carefree I go to L.L. or extremely select Juicy Couture. There seems to be no Cherry fragrance that compares to 'Cherry on Top'. This parfum is not a sweet cherry. Rarina is one of the most no-nonsense houses I have ever encountered. This stuff aint cheap but I will try to buy many more Rarina because the approach is so different. No fuss, very top-quality, and ENTIRELY DIFFERENT than any other approach to fragrance. Not a body scent, but not grabby either. The cherry does not stay on too terribly long and is sofened by the Caramel. I don't really detect alot of Leather. Maybe the Amber helps it last. 'Cherry On Top' is quite mellow and unobtrusive with some moderate projection early on. You want something where you, and maybe JUST you, know what you've got? This is it. Private, natural, sensual--so frickin' hot and quiet all at once!!!!!!!!!!!!!! In the words of Michelina on Curly Fragrance, 'let the fragrance come to you.' Yep. Stepping Into the Gender Hole: You can do man hugs with this product on. It is not candy, and really shows class and good sense. If you want a scent that is declarative of you financial prowess--this is not it. Unpretentious. Women can wear this but it is natural and not over done at all. The emphasis at Rirana is on quality. This is from Rirana: '60-70% essential oil. . . carefully selected. The balance is denatured alcohol. The mixture is higher than extrait parfum by industrial standards.' In my opinion, the higher mixture allows Cherry On Top to 'punch above its weight' and it lasts pretty darn good. It is detectable at about ten inches from the flat of my arm after one hour. The Chestnut hangs tough but not too loud. This bottle is made for gifting and is a delight. It is wrapped in a true red type of twine and sits on a kind-of wood base with brand name. Packaging is one of the very best----Elegant and natural. I actually got cheered up by this bottle sitting out. Boy did I need this fun bottle. Time to rake some leaves. Rarina, 'Cherry On Top' On top--right where it belongs. This is what niche is all about.

This kind of smells like the original Vanilla Lace from Victoria secret somehow. Definitely not a bad thing. I enjoy the scent but I can't pull out any of the listed notes, but if you've smelled VS vanilla lace this is pretty close to it, try a sample if you liked that smell.

The Cherry is quite candy like at first. No matter... after 10 minutes it starts to fade in the scent bubble and a pleasant plasticky vinyl with a slight amber bodies out the scent. Then 20 minutes in the vanilla starts taking over - slightly synthetic. By now the cherry is an afterthought and vaguely detectable nose to skin. It’s pretty much a vanilla forward scent with a slightly piquant amber base. Maybe the suede again nose to skin helps give a bit of dimension other any other notes are a bit of non event obviously being complimentarily blended. It is very strong in longevity and silage. So, nice but won’t be back... It’s a bit of a meh considering others do a vanilla better for the same price or indeed Banana Republic does a proper cherry and amber that rocks for a fraction.

Here is one of those instances where you NEED TO TEST ON SKIN. I sprayed this on a tester strip and it smelled god awful. Like medicinal Cherry and artificial vanilla/caramel. Automatic hate! I have a 5ml so I said I’ll play around with it and use it up. The next day I sprayed it on skin before I went to bed and it was like a totally new fragrance! No medicinal Cherry! I get softly powdery and sweet Cherry and caramel. The powder cuts through the sweetness and balances it nicely. It’s actually quite nice and I’m now enjoying it! Could be unisex but leans feminine due to the sweetness. I don’t think this is extraordinary or unique in terms of quality ingredients but projection and performance is great. Again, TEST ON SKIN.

I get mostly vanilla suede. Sweet to the point I’d say it leans more feminine, but it kind of smells like a nice vanilla incense air freshener in a new car with leather seats. Slightly artificial, but very smooth and nice. I only really got cherry in the opening. Overall very nice, sweet simple pleasing unisex vanilla skin scent but it lasts and projects stronger than most skin scents. Not offensive or sharp. I wouldn’t have minded more cherry though!

This smells exactly like a lavender vanilla marshmallow. I don't smell any cherry - its definitely coming across as very soft lavender but a sweet and cuddly marshmallow softness. Very much a comfort scent, stays close to the skin.

This reminds me of Chocolate Greedy by Montale, but smells lighter and more reminiscent of a marshmallow. I don't think I smell any cherry though. The leather also comes out more during the dry down.

To me this smells exactly like Bath and Body Works Warm Vanilla Sugar. I’m not getting a ton of complexity. Doesn’t smell bad but definitely not for me. This is something I would give to my niece as a first fragrance 🤷🏽♀️

New car smell. Not cherry forward, only a whisper of fruitiness that doesn't last. Drydown was a nice vanilla, but similar to so many other mediocre scents out there.

I agree with the car air freshener reviews. It would also make a lovely candle. Nothing to write home about.

This is my very first perfume from the brand Rirana Parfume. It was blind buy and to be honest, this was a disappointing purchase for me. Below are the description of Cherry on Top from their official website: "Its a sweet aphrodisiac gourmand fragrance open with delightful vanilla, cherry and caramel deep in to floral musky leather vibe that create very beautiful combination." When I first sprayed it, all I can smell is leather and some floral notes. It's lighter than expected. When researching about this brand, reviewers frequently note how Rirana fragrances are so highly concentrated that they tend to be oily and would drip from the skin if you spray too much. But mine was like any other perfume - light and evaporates fairly quickly. When it settles down, in addition to the ever-present leather note, the vanilla and chestnut comes through. The leather keeps this perfume from leaning too much on the feminine side. To be honest, Cherry on Top is not a bad perfume. But it lacks projection. For context, I spray a lot (2 behind my ears, 2 on the front of my body, 1 in the back, 1 on each inner forearm). Even when I wear my usual body lotion, this scent stays close to the skin beginning from 5-10 minutes of spraying. It lasts and I get small wafts of it here and there but unfortunately, for me, it is not enough. I expect more power and presence from Cherry On Top. For the past 3 days since receiving it, I asked opinions from my family and friends and when I asked whether they smell it on me, they all said "I'm not sure, I think I kinda smell it." When I ask them to spray on themselves and tell me their opinion, one of them actually said: "This smells like an air freshener", and the other, without knowing what they first person said, commented, "This smells good, but it reminds me of the smell of a hotel that we went to" 😂 Gosh I really had high hopes. And compared to the rest of their collection, this was the most expensive one. But I honestly don't feel like buying anymore from them if this is their best one, like all the local Youtubers said about Cherry On Top.

This smelled like a betadine wound solution or would remind me of hydrogen peroxide. I can sniff out the vanilla but the latter is the bigger image on my mind.

What a strange evolution! Got the tester yesterday and keep spritzing tiny amounts on my wrist just to contemplate how it evolves within the hour. Opens up aromatic and medicinal, then turns straight to a pungent tangerine peel + lavender accord (not unlike Carezza from Olfattiva, a super cozy festive scent), then goes powdery and slightly fruity, Christmassy and magical until it dissolves into a distinguished, classic vanilla. Gourmand? Yes, but not too sweet, and brightened by interesting, unusual facets. No detectable cherry, maybe a faint hint of amaretto here and there, but a really intriguing creation in my opinion. Cozy, strange in a non-offensive way, not huge in projection or sillage (which I appreciate). In conclusion, Cherry On Top is a weird character that is more likely to become a very good friend than a lover. To me, at least.

So I got a random sample of this from Krystal Fragrances when I made an order of a bunch of other samples. Funnily enough, I didn’t care for any of the samples I actually paid for, but this free sample is the one that stole the show. I’m normally not crazy about cherry in fragrances, but this is incredible! Cherry, vanilla, thick caramel, musk, and leather among a few other notes make this concoction a dense cloud of gourmand heaven. I find that the cherry note gets a little lost in the sauce, so I layer it with the Lost Cherry dupe from Be Layered because I find it to be a sweet, single note tart cherry scent. The combination is sooooo good. This fragrance lasted on my skin all day and I caught whiffs throughout. Highly recommend at least sampling this one if you’re even remotely into cherry, gourmands, or both.

One of the best scents I have at the top you get a little bit of beautiful cherry but afterwards the main thing you get for the life of the fragrance is a silky smooth suede/leather dry down with a brilliant dose of creamy vanilla that is to die for. Performance is actually spectacular I’ve timed this one lasting 12+ hours every single time. And it projects really well too. More expensive than the other scents from this house but to me works to perfection.

I don’t know why I don’t get any cherry whatsoever from this. It opens on me with a bandaid note.Dry down, still no cherry barely any sweetness..barely any scent at all. I am so disappointed. Luckily I only purchased a sample. Try Lost Cherry for a great boozy cherry fragrance.

Strong Luden's cherry cough drop in the opening followed by sweet vanilla/caramel and a leathery base. The cherry opening had a somewhat sour vibe to my nose. Overall interesting and I have enjoyed it wafting around me today...will need to revisit my sample again.

It's actually crème brûlée dessert, but creamless and eggless. Caramel dominates the whole composition; I could almost hear the crunchy caramel top crackling. If you love a heavy vanilla-caramel scent, this is perfect for you 🍒

Musky, vanilla cherry. Not juicy or liquor type of cherry. Very musky/powdery in the drydown. Modest and soft projection, moderate lasting power. Worth the test but I will stick to other cherry fragrances as faves.

First time I bought this perfume I don't like it but now I love it for a second sniff..hehe! My rating of this scent is 8 out of 10 P/S : Notes of vanilla,cherry and leather is best in this fragrance

For a fraction of price, im happy with it.Plesant smell with longetivity in hand.Personally, i prefer to wear it at night
