Coconut Mangga

I bought this blind despite having a policy against it, mainly because I love mangoes, pineapples, and coconuts (in both taste and smell), and insofar as I've tried other non-perfume products which are scented/flavoured of these fruits, south-east Asia does it incredibly well - and also because it was inexpensive. Almost contradictorily, I held high hopes and also didn't expect much, at the same time. Upon initial spray, I could smell the "broken down components" of the perfume, which didn't really come together as a single scent. However, within minutes, it all settled into a very realistic mango and pineapple scent. It's right up there, front and centre. Not cloying, not overly sweet, but smells exactly like the fruits would - I would know, I live in Malaysia and semi-regularly enjoy the real, fresh fruits which are grown regionally and available fresh. Imagine ordering a fresh pina colada and mango smoothie - it would smell exactly like that. I'd say a pretty photorealistic fragrance. Projection felt fairly decent and not "beast mode"; though to be fair I think it projects about as much as you'd want it to project, as these heavy scented fruits can overwhelm if you constantly smell them right in your face. Performance was moderate - could smell on my skin the next morning, after sleeping in it. I suspect some maceration would help unify the scent. As it is, I would certainly recommend, especially given the price.

I'm curious as to why there is a release so similar to a past release for the same house. Is the mango note in Coconut Mangga going to add any significant difference when compared to Coconut Nanas when they both have pineapple and peach as notes 👀? I've come to terms that mangos are too difficult to be extracted from, and most fragrances that claim to be a mango scent usually use a derivative of pineapple or other fruits. Still can't wait to try!
