Coconut Nanas

And just like that, I’ve found my perfect tropical beach scent. I went through nearly a hundred coconut/sunscreen/beach scents trying to find this gem. It smells expensive and oily. No plasticy coconut. Fruity without screaming at me. No loud typical perfumy notes, woods or patchouli to distract. The florals are pretty and soft but noticeable. Not loud and synthetic like Montale/Manceras tiare. Stays grounded and human-smelling, not like air freshener or scented candles. Quite realistically smells how I would want to after a day on a Hawaiian beach—young, sun kissed, dripping in coconut and pineapple juice, with flowers in my hair. The performance on this is outstanding! I sprayed a paper once and left it on my vanity. The next day I smelled it every time I walked by. My entire vanity smelled like this. That was days ago and the paper still smells strong and rich, and still has a perfect blend of natural fruity floral smells without screetchiness or drying down to woods. When I wear this, i can still smell it after a shower. It blends in nicely under many of my other fragrances. Side note-I see this getting compared to JPGs Divine, which is one of my favorite perfumes. I personally don’t consider them to smell alike at all. I would never recommend one because someone liked the other, Divine feels like a perfectly appropriate scent to wear all year with a floral candy girly attention-demanding vibe and different notes, while this is a very classic tropical monoi type scent just done up in a luxe quality way with a more genderless leaning profile. Both excellent and I recommend them, but they aren’t related.

This smells like a red kool-aid or even a jolly rancher candy. Do not get this expecting it to be a very coconut-forward fragrance. It smells delicious but it doesn't read as "coconut". This is a playful fragrance and kinda juvenile smelling but is very well done... And you will be smelled across the room (talking from experience!) with only a couple sprays! This is not a typical tropical fragrance either, but would be great to wear on a tropical vacation. So think red kool-aid + pineapple juice with pretty dang good projection and longevity. This won't be for everyone. You will need to like a light-hearted fun fragrance. It is a good quality fruity fragrance too. I used to think I hated fruity fragrances, but it turns out that was because I had only smelled cheaper-smelling ones and B&BW types... this reminds me most of Kayali Eden in the way it is bright & fruity, but I much prefer this scent. If that makes sense. I wish more coconut came out but it is being covered by a lot of fruit juiciness. Delicious. P.S. I much prefer this to Apple Nanas* - but Dapper has an Apple Nanas dupe that is KILLER and even better than the original and it puts Kayali Eden to shame! I have not tried their Coconut Nanas fragrance yet though and now I am curious if it too enhanced the original formulation that Rirana made. Edit: 10/22/23 ... Ok so I did buy the Dapper dupe for this and I prefer the original. Although I like the Dapper dupe better for Apple Nanas more. I am putting this on my wish list. And I already resold Rirana Apple Nanas and picked up the Dapper version.

An amazingly realistic fruity coconut scent. I don’t think I’ve smelled anything this realistically fresh before. It’s quite sweet but I don’t find it cloying or synthetic. Some coconut scents have a particular synthetic smell; I don’t detect that here. Leans quite feminine because of the sweetness, but I think anyone can pull it because it’s an ‘edible’ sort of scent. Frangipani is blended in well, and I detect the peach. Sillage is good and longevity is definitely there. I sprayed it on my arm at night and could still smell it when I woke up in the morning, albeit not as strong. It’s an oily formula, I had to rub it into my skin. I think it could be great for layering due to its simplistic note profile. Comparing this to my sample of Leisure in Paradise by Simone Andreoli, the similarities are definitely there, but Leisure in Paradise has less sweetness and fruitiness, less projection, and smells more “perfumey”. I love them both but I think Leisure is more refined, while Coconut Nanas is more realistic, sweet, and young.

Coconut nanas is really a suitable name for this fragrance (nanas is pineapple in Melayu language). The most prominent note is coconut, followed by pineapple and frangipani. It doesn't evolve much, from the opening to the dry down it only adds floral note here. Wearing this is such a tropical bliss, I imagine myself sunbathing besides a pool on a beach club, with pina colada/young coconut juice on the table next to me. It's bright, it's warm, it screams vacation in a tropical paradise for me. Got no trouble with projection and silage. I wear this to work today, and it's room filling, and I get compliments from my fellow workers... And it still radiates strongly after 5 hours in... wow.

The Coconut Nanas is quite lovable. Longevity is definitely there, projection and sillage I couldn't tell by myself. Since i been hiding inside a cave during this lockdown i haven't been able to test about compliments, but i do like the proportion of fruit vs coconut. i didn't want the scent to be too creamy or lotion-like for summer, compared to other coconut based scents like the Creed VIW (and its stronger performing alternatives from Alexandria and DUA), The pineapple scent in this one is more dominating and longer lasting than the citrus in VIW variants. This scent does not smell like VIW, just using VIW as a comparison for the fruit vs. coconut proportion.

Well, I'll be honest, I absolutely love this scent. Funny because the bottles Rirana uses kind of look like they should all be housing summer scents, they look like a mini bottle of liquor that would be behind a bar the caribean. But I just love how this smells. It is so summery and fun, and pleasant. There's coconut,there's lime. It's awesome. I like it so much I just wish it had beast performance but it's more moderate I'd say. Regardless, to me it's a summer must buy. Will be a permanent fixture in my collection.

This house just blows my mind! They really make very high quality juice. This one is a love at first sniff for me. Opens with coconut and pineapple and peach. Like really juicy pineapple and peach. After a few minutes, there's a slightly sweet floral notes that comes up. The dry down kinda reminds me of a toned down VIW. Im not a fan of VIW honestly, but this takes this tropical line to a whole new level. Very pleased by this Malaysian house. Definitely must buy a full bottle. Performance is no slouch.

Pineapple with creamy coconut milk... The sweetness just nice... Room filler, excellent longevity and projection... update: I didn’t realize this before until I gave it to my wife. She wore it around 7 a.m... and when I came back from work at 6 p.m... I could still smell the perfume lingering in the room.

Delicious scent- coconutty and pineapple. Oily on initial spray- but I have a feeling this is why it lasts a very long time. No alcohol smell- clean and summery. Good sillage and great performance. I am finding Rirana to be a great house...

This is my ultimate summer jam - it is sweet and juicy like ripe fruit, but not so sweet that it's only for women - i'd love to smell it on a man. Longevity and projection is really good.

This has the most beautiful creamy floral dry down. Perhaps a bit synthetic to start but even that is not so bad. I hate cheap coconut scents and this is definitely not one of those.

Worth every penny!!! For me, is a unisex perfume. My girlfriend and sister love it though (read: they both hard to compliment any fragrance i wear except this one)

Yes it smells synthetic, but it’s also $60. So for the price it’s pretty incredible.

This is Coconut Fizz by Guerlain with an added pineapple note. But the fizzy element and the coconut are there. I'm so glad I found this, after they D/C'd Coconut Fizz and bottles immediately shot up to hundreds of dollars (absolutely ridiculous please don't pay that and justify those business practices), and then I discovered Rem Coco and that got HTF too and got wiped off the shelves, this is my last type of this scent I'm picking up, or at least the last one that I'm telling y'all about. I tested Leisure in Paradise recently and that one is way deeper and more complex. I get a lot more woods and base notes on me than they're letting on in that perfume, I can barely smell the fruitiness at all. And this one has more notes than it really smells like. No musk ,no saffron and definitely no tiare flower. I scratch my head at a lot of these comparisons actually. What is it about a Pineapple note that makes people uncontrollably spit out every fragrance they've ever tried with a pineapple note into the reminds me of section? I know it's possible that it's a dominating note on some people, but in no world does this smell like Aventus or anything Aventus adjacent. I had Fresh Coconut Cotton and yes I can kinda see the resemblance actually but this one smells a bit fresher and eased up on the alcohol that one just had too much. Granted, it's a $15 body spray and this is an actual perfume, but still I couldn't stomach that one and this is delicious. Vanilla Vibes has a salt + vanilla that this is lacking. Not every beachy tropical perfume smells the same, people, and it's okay to accept that. But any chance I get to pick up something that smells like a Guerlain and takes money away from them, I'm one grateful hater. :') Ever since they pulled some shady s*** in the grey markets where you can't find any of the classics for less than $100 anymore, discontinued every fragrance that makes cult status and continue replacing it with trendy swill or repackaging old loves and selling them for 5x the price they once were,one might say I'm spraying on their downfall.

There are a few fragrances that claim to have pineapple (Creed Aventus, Loumarie Porthole for example) but I don't smell pineapple per say, perhaps a slight fruitiness but not pineapple. This is NOT one of those you really can smell the pineapple note in this one. There is some coconut too but the pineapple outshines it. Some people say this smells like a Pina colada in a fragrance and I can definitely feel that. My only negative would be that there is something about this that is a little harsh and remains harsh throughout the wear. If you're a gourmand lover and want to smell like a Pina colada you can drink this is not quite there but if you are happy smelling pina colada-esk with a perfume-y undertone then you will love this.

i HATE coconut but this one is exception. it’s not too sweet like people claim though. opening notes is pure pineapple which is tangy, summery and fruity which is not too sweet. it’s more like tangy fruit then it dries down to creamy coconut which isnt too gourmand. it has a perfect balance of fruity-gourmand. the complete dries down definitely has creamy-citrusy like a hint of bergamot which maintains the freshness despite long hours. a very unique scent and not boring one. managed to get a bigger bottle after using the decant one. projection is great, more you sweat, the better it is. a good layering base too
