Vanilla Tea

Ethereal and sweet; pretty and feminine; airy and fruity - a definite love off the bat. The citrus in the opening is inviting, smooth, and not harsh or cleaner-esque. Like when you squeeze just a little bit of a perfectly juicy lime into seltzer water and it’s the most refreshing thing on a sweltering day. Soon after the fruitiness and soft tea note shine through and calmly project off skin, as most scents in this profile would do. But not like a fruit basket with green apples, berries, bananas, or melons. Here, you’re getting milder, sweeter, sumptuous green or concord pears and apricots. Tea, but not English breakfast, not green and astringent, but a delicate white tea, the kind that would probably have a cute little daisy on the bag. There is rose, but not a screeching, synthetic pink or red rose - more like the passing waft of white roses after walking by an actual bush on a slightly balmy but perfectly enjoyable sunny day. Sweetness and creaminess from a subtle vanilla and musky touch...and when I say subtle, I mean those who are vanilla averse could certainly work with this. It’s no sugar factory but just the right balance of sweetness that makes it incredibly appealing. What’s funny is, I’m such a boring tea girl. I only drink black tea - no matter the season or time of day. And not even unique black teas, I’m talking that bright yellow bag Lipton tea only. Any other tea just doesn’t do it for me...except this here vanilla tea! I want to indulge in this every day the sun is out! I watched CubaKnow’s review on this darling frag and had to try a sample for myself, and I simply have to agree with his assertion that, “on a girl, this would be a vibe” (although, anyone can pull off anything they want). I’d reach for this on a date night in the spring and summer. It shines in high heat. Blended well and not cloying and do not expect a synthetic bomb! So because of that, I do get decent projection and longevity off my skin, which considering it’s a brighter frag in my collection, I would be happy to wear during this summer season. Now, is it the most mind blowing, complex, beast mode, fragrance ever? Nope, it’s not overly involved at all but it certainly has a smooth beginning, middle, and end that I think any Frag head and folks around us would greatly appreciate. Not every fragrance has to do the absolute most, but in it’s almost demur nature, Vanilla Tea is still a stunner. I’d definitely recommend trying a sample of you can!

I enjoy tea in perfumery but don't find that I actively seek it out as a note. It's big and can be a bit much, at times overly green and shrill. It tends to consume all other notes in the composition. That doesn't mean I don't like it, in fact, I've found a fragrance where I love it. I haven't made a point of testing the many tea fragrances touted to be the best representation of the note, so others may know of more realistic tea or a more ___tea. I only know this one, Rirana's Vanilla Tea, works for me. THIS is my favorite tea composition and I even think I might know the reason why; vanilla. Predictably pleasant and unassuming vanilla is a tea tamer. Surprisingly, the vanilla doesn't actually share the equal billing the name of the fragrance would lead you to believe. It feels nuanced here. It definitely makes the tea rounder, softer (not cozy) but less challenging. The vanilla allows me to enjoy my tea without losing contact with most of the remaining notes, especially the blood orange and ambrette. It's a blanket for the sweetness in the composition, not just the sugar, but the apricot as well. Neither rose nor honeysuckle is identifiable by name for me in this fragrance, but I definitely smell florals, while ambrette is most present. Noteworthy It's a slow build. I almost didn't detect it on my skin when first sprayed. It builds nicely, but takes a few to get moving. It feels oilier on my skin than most of my wardrobe. The longevity on my skin could be better, but on clothing, it's crazy good. The projection is better than I thought. Vanilla plays a key role, though not an overly fragrant one. This is a palatable tea, perfectly served with vanilla...just the way I like it.

Went to their shop in Bangi and I love Vanilla Tea so much! The mixture of sweet notes and tea smells sweet but clean and fresh at the same time. This is my everyday office fragrance. I think it is suitable in both air-cond room and outside office under hot weather.

The smell overall is really good, but the projection man. It's almost non-existent and it's a shame because this scent is so pleasant especially if you're a tea lover

Wow this is beautiful! This is such a refreshing tea fragrance. It’s a little green from the floral honeysuckle and tea of course. There’s citrus in the brew, a hint of vanilla just rounding it all out a bit and there’s a sophisticated edge that it’s pulling off as well making this quite unique and somewhat airy. It’s a smidge fruity but it’s very much in the background allowing tea to be the star. I have one other tea fragrance in my collection but it’s not nearly as posh as this Rirana. This does remind me a little bit of Amo Ferragamo. This one is a little more dry, green, and sophisticated & Amo is a bit more fizzy and syrupy.

This smells oddly familiar, though I have been wracking my brain, trying to figure out what perfume it smells like. I think noel1stanley had it right on when they mentioned Jergens hand lotion from the 70s. Hilarious, but apt. I would venture to say that it is a bit more appealing and wearable than Jergens... I will say the scent is very dynamic and changes from moment to moment. One moment it is floral, the next I smell a hint of tea, and the next I smell women's public bathroom being cleaned. Weird.

I bought a decant. It opened with strong citrusy and floral notes that slowly became a sugary vanilla scent. I can't detect any tea note in this. It just straight up smells like vanilla candy. It didn't last long on my skin. By the two hour mark, I could barely smell it on my wrist when I put it to my nose. It's a pleasant scent but I won't be buying a full bottle.

Good fragrance, just not for me. It’s a fresh and unisex scent and reminds me of clean linen. I prefer some sweetness, however I could see this being a non-offensive, fresh fragrance for someone. Still on the hunt for a gourmand, cozy, sweet tea scent!

Love many of this brands perfumes, however this was a miss for me. I got no vanilla and no tea but everything else lol. It's pretty but because of the name, not what I was expecting or looking forward to for so long, so it's a pass for me.

I can't tell if I truly like this or if I like the nostalgia. The juicy fruity candy citrus brings me back to the days listening to Debbie Gibson on tape, bubblegum pop, clear landline phones, exchanging notes in class, sending random items to my best friends through snail mail (a cracker I was eating while on the phone with them days ago) scrunchy socks with leggings, and flipping through YM and Seventeen magazines, and obsessing over my crush of the month.

this smells pleasant and a little nostalgic, even though I'm not sure exactly what its reminding me of. I can't pick out any individual notes which is a shame. i'm getting a pleasant and clean linen / luxe candle feeling from this. not really smelling vanilla or tea and don't think it's full bottle worthy for me.

This smells like Jergens hand lotion from 1975.
