RITUALS 47AG SILVER This is one of those hidden-in-plain sight gems that you miss at your peril. Just because something is mainstream and found in most malls and high streets these days, doesnt mean it isnt good. and honestly, this is very, very good. Shockingly so, in fact. It is part of a very attractive double pack, along with another attractive 15ml bottle of 79AU GOLD, and these are a pair of amber and woody fragrances. I got the Alchemy set of two 15ml bottles rituals for under AED90/€20 in the sale in Dubai on Thursday which under the circumstances must rank as one of my greatest perfume bargains for a long time. 79AU Gold is a richer, darker, more evening fragrance and Silver, which we’ll look at today, is a lighter but very refined, slightly boozy smell with a charming sweetness arrayed against heavy notes of myrrh and several spices. I get cinnamon and nutmeg here and the rum note is redolent of Kraken or Sailor Jerry Spiced for me, hopefully that'll make sense to you, if you're a fellow Rumhead. Drydown is fairly linear but I have no problem with that. The jasmine in the mids keeps this fresh and the performance is surprising given its price: very impressive indeed. I got five hours from this before it started to move close to the skin. It was still detectable to my nose on my wrists the morning after spraying which shows that Rituals are not playing when it comes to quality ingredients. Astonishingly wearable, this very attractive fragrance in a charming little bottle is rich enough to provide intrigue and depth if you don't want to wear a freshie during daytime. Gold on the other hand is sexy and dark all night all night all night alllllll night business. I'll review that property later on. It is also wonderful. I’m going to have a look to see if Rituals do any flankers or accompanying products across this Gold & Silver DNA as I need a shower gel, room spray and candle in this, fairly pronto I’ve decided. I am a big fan of this. It’s not like MM Jazz Club but has a similar vibe to me, it has the same wearability to me. Jazz Club sits between Gold and Silver to my nose in terms of darkness and richness if that makes sense, although both the Rituals scents are sweeter and have better longevity. Silver is that sort of Babycat-lite vibe though: boozy, rich, dark, amber and wood and very unisex. It is more wearable in the daytime than either Babycat or Jazz Club. Gold is a darker imagining of the Babycat Raw Bourbon DNA, but with a lot of smoke in there. I'm a big fan of this and I’ll be looking out for more of the Rituals scents from now on. Don’t sleep on this. Scent - 8/10 Sillage - 7/10 Drydown - 6/10 Bottle / packaging - 8/10 Performance - 7/10 36/50 and I feel like that’s harsh. This is a high 30s score to me. Impressive stuff.

This has been my IT fragrance for winter ever since it came out. I get a very warm vanilla and amber from this, with some subtle hints of cloves, ginger and cinnamon. It is just mouthwatering, especially layered with a sweet vanilla like choco musk or adopts vanille bourbon. It just hugs you with warmth and Christmas vibes. This also works very well with the body cream from the same collection, it is almost identical and really enhances each others warming strengths. I prefer the silver perfume to the gold one. I don't really care much for the notes in Au gold as it is just too bitter on me. But I would highly recommend getting your hands on Ag Silver for december! 8.5/10 for me.

My first favourit perfume! the smell is like a warm hugg. If you are sensitive to stinging smells then this is perfect! dont expect a light or floraly sent as it reminds me more of a sunset and the atmosphere of a warm fierplace. you can smell the spices and myrrh but it is a perfeckt blend with the jasmine. The smell lingers in the air, so its not close contackt. My only regret was not buying another pack as it was a limited edition. 100/10 would buy again if i could.

An incredible scent! It’s not generic at all. it has a very unique character. Dear Rituals, please add this to your permanent line up! It’s such a shame that it’s just a seasonal limited edition.

All for the drydown- it is divine. I could do with a bit less sweetness initially but in general I am completely in love. A varm radiant magical night moonlight atmosphere

If anyone knows a perfume which smells the same as the new body cream with amber and myrr I would love to know! This one comes close but with a weak longevity.

This definitely reminds me of Guidance by Amouage. My boyfriend HATES Guidance and when I put this on he literally screamed! I didn’t get why at first but then it hit me... This smells like Guidance, but much weaker. So if you like that one, go for it! If you don’t, stay FAR away!

Very creamy jasmine and I also prefer 79 Au Gold from the package more but I think they can also work nice together, as this one enhances creaminess. It smells like body lotion but I think it can be good scent for layering with other perfumes or simply something to keep during colder days in a purse or use it when you ran errands, go to the gym etc. quite a comfort scent but yes, nothing special and moderate projection. This one is like Sand Desert At Sunset by Zara with a cleaner touch to it! Smells really good but is a no for me since I own the one mentioned before and it is redundant in my collection!

Very pleasant at first but in the drydown there was a soapy undertone I didn't like. Too much like shower cream.

I prefer the AU gold but I also vibe with this one. Smells alot like the body cream! Spciy jasmine fragrance
