Chakai

A beatiful fresh, spicy, green and aromatic fragrance . The top is bright, and energizing. I think I smell mint in the first couple of minutes? Afterwards it loses a bit of its freshness and the mainplayer, the cardamom, gets very pronounced. It dries down to a slightly sweeter base, but it still retains the spiciness of the cardamom. I might get hate for this, but in some ways it reminds me of La Nuit. It doesn't smell exactly like it, but it kinda has a similiar theme: Fresh top notes, that dry down into a deep powdery mix of cardamom, lavender and cedar, very alluring, and IMO night time only. Chakai has an even fresher top, but still the cardamom (different type of cardamom), and I believe the lavender (even though it's not listed), and it changes out the cedar with bamboo and hinoki wood. It's like they tried to take the La Nuit concept, minus the powderyness, make it fresher and give it a "japanese-esque" edge with the green tea vibe, to make it also daytime friendly. So I'd say if you like La Nuit try this, and if you didn't like it, try it too :) Longevity is pretty good for me at around 7-8 hours. The projection is okay, it doesn't push a lot, but I'm totally fine with that. Quite versatile, I wouldn't wear it in the summer though. These mild spring days, which we have right now are perfect for this. All in all a very nice fragrance. The bottle is very beautiful, a minimalistic, rectangular shape, with a matte green hue, which gives you an idea of what is inside. Love the wooden cap. A shame that it's a limited edition though, since it goes along really well with the whole image of the brand.

I've worn this for several years, and am heartbroken that I only bought one bottle since it was limited edition. Even though this is a male perfume and I'm a woman, it beautifully blends into my skin, and isn't really too strong and masculine for me. Really love the spicyness, and now that I've run out I'm struggling to find something similar. I settled on Narciso Rodriguez' For Her EDP for the time being, as it has kind of the same spicyness.

Great spring fragrance. Very green and fresh yet subtle spice from the cardamom. I get the vibe of la nuit de lhomme but not enough to say it's a clone or inspired by. Rituals is under the radar for an indie house but the prices are incredible considering the quality you get. $1 per ml is insane! Performance on myself is above average. I get about 2 hours projection and roughly 8 hrs longevity. It's a very soothing scent

Smelled this on a guy last night and I had to ask him what he was wearing. GORGEOUS how this smell lingers around you on a sultry summer night. That bamboo is so smooth, sexy and invigorating. To me this is an absolute 10/10 fragrance. Unique, yet crowdpleasing. Highly recommended!

Fresh, light n summery. Me like! Maybe Rituals' best release for men so far?
