L'Essence

Bought this at first sniff (love that they offer 10 ml bottles and at a very decent price). Pleasant skin scent, quiet, warm and cosy. I get something fruity at first, then it mellows into a very private, perfectly delightful casual woody musk vibe. I don't get anything harsh or edgy from this scent at all, completely office-appropriate or just for lounging about. Relaxed and a little bit sexy.

A very warm cozy woody scent and highly inspired by the Orient. Simple but a very beautiful and elegant fragrance with good longevity and moderate silage. I sprayed this on my tweed jacket during a wet rainy day in London and I love how this made me feel like I am being wrapped with warm cashmere blanket.

Went from nay to yay on this one. A grower and a true beauty in disguise. Well worth spending time with (and your hard earned cash on). A bit on the intimate side but it lasts all day and you can enjoy the smell of yourself without bothering others.

i absolutely LOVE this fragrance. it’s super woody and smoky and is one of the few fragrances i’ve ever smelled that i would genuinely consider sexy. my dad thinks it smells like stale cigarettes though so i guess keep that in mind?

Gray vinyl chair, metal instruments, white lights, dental surgeon mixing ceramic compounds to pack into my mouth... I wanted to like this as I love a lot of Rituals products but twice I tried it and I was taken back to the dentist's chair with such ferocity that I had to scrub L'Essence off me. I have hidden it deep in a dark cupboard so it can no longer haunt me. notes of pleather, metal, resin clean, smooth and white just like my new ceramic crown I never got the wood but I rubbed by wrists and they say, do not rub this one.

Do not get any 'unisex' sense off this one. Smells like pure man to me, and too heavily man at that.
