Maharaja d'Or

This is an amazing & elegant manly smelling fragrance. Generic? Bleu de Chanel? Invictus? Dont think so! Never have i smelled anything similar to this, in a class of its own! I stumbled upon it for a very decent price, the 10ml, & cant wait to purchase the full bottle. I wish there was a store nearby to sample their other fragrances. I imagine a Chinese temple w/ incence burning w this one, it does have a slight sweetness to it but nothing like candy or sugar, more like sap or dark syrup.

Very sexy fragrance. However i have the brown bottle with black cap. Performance and longevity in this batch isn't as great as the black bottle. But since i got it for $50 I can't complain. Btw the notes listed don't really smell much as you woukd expect. The opening smells kinda like woods with grapes. Settles down almost like invictus but Woody. Yet still has an aquatic quality to it

This scent is actually realy good. Did not expect such good quality for the price. The first seconds after you spray the scent it's sweet and fresh, abit femenine but after 5-10 minutes it transcends into a masculine woody, smoky, warm pine and amber scent. Imo I could not see anyone dislike this scent.

This is a very pleasant scent, sadly it has one of the poorest performance of all my fragrances and is a EDP... I am glad that I bought the 10ml travel sprayer. I will test it more maybe it'll performance better on the summer? I will write an update later.

Unique blend that hits the spot. It lasts a fair time(several hours) on me, but that may also depend on how much you spray. Personally, I have not found any fragrances to truly mimic this royal profile.

Bought this for my boyfriend a year ago and it became his signature scent immediately. its the perfect balance of sweet, fresh, masculine and sexy.

Really love it but the longevity quite short, somehow i was layering it with Prada Black. It quite good blend

am i the only one getting amber and oud notes?

Smelled both the new Rituals fragrances today. I like both. The mens one, this one, resembles Bleu de Chanel. It gives off the same clean fresh smell that is hard to dislike. I hope the performance is great as with the others, as I just acquired a small bottle. Rituals really does deliver longlasting natural fragrances for cheap. Whoever decided to sell 10ml travel sprays deserves a promotion. Other companies should follow this trend.

Make no mistake, this a pretty good scent! The notes here describe it well enough, it is very versatile despite being relatively fresh (fresh usually being suitable for warmer, sunny periods). I guess it's thanks to the inclusion of the "green" woodiness. In my experience it lasted 8+ hours, I'm just not sure about the value, I guess it's ok.

When I saw the name Maharaja, I was expecting something heavy, woody and spicy. It turned out to be totally different from my expectation. It is sweet and fresh, a bit spicy. It smells quite sexy to me.

Nice fresh smell, but it will not stay longer than 2 hours on skin. Performance is weak.

It smells like anything from Karl Lagerfeld, Paco Rabanne, Carolina Herrera or any other similar AMBER perfume. Pine notes? Pfff, no, you won't find them there. Sillage is non-existent, unless you put your nose in the place where you spritzed. Longevity, sadly, is quite good though the scent itself is not. Washed hands twice with soap - and that clingy cloying smell didn't go away. Sure, it's less radioactive then Paco and CH, obviously not sharp and punching, but also not something you want to use anywhere except gym or just to kill sweat smell. Comparisons to Chanel and JPG seem for me funny: obviously those are perfumes with names, with vision and, though I dislike them, with status and rich scent. This one is cheap - so don't expect anything special. About longevity, well, it's not the feature of good perfume. You can buy some poisonous stuff for 5 euros and yet that will smell hours. Summarizing: as air freshener in toilet or in stinky bus/train, after gym or just to seem low-class it's the perfect buy. If you search something for other occasions and places, don't waste your money.

A friend of mine was staying at my place and was using this frag every single day. Not my cup of tea. I do believe it's a crowd pleaser, not very offensive. Amber, wood and maybe a tiny hint of patchouli. For some reason I smelled a bit of coffee in the background. Longevity is poor, silage is good for an hour or so. I heard that the black bottle is more potent, but my friend was using the brown one. Anyway, I don't hate it, don't like it either. The smell does not justify the price. From what I have seen while visiting Rituals - most of the frags are overpriced. Nice bottle design though. But you can find better frags for that price. Don't bother.

To me this is a decent date night fragrance. Quite smoky, dark, warm, inviting. On my skin it sweetens up a bit compared to the bottle, with the patchouli and woody notes really coming through. Slightly generic scent, but for the everyday consumer, I think this will be well-received. I have gotten a few compliments while wearing this scent, though they were the standard "you smell nice". It lasts 4-5 hours on my skin and upwards of 12-15 on clothes. (Note: I have the 10ml brown travel bottle with wooden cap, so I cannot comment on the black bottle version).

Maharaja (Great King) should not smell like this -IMO It 's a siute and tie fragrance. I agree with Ineleman, it reminds Bleu de Chanel. II prefer Sultan de Muscat from the same house, more creative and better performance. Bottom line, good alternative of BdC, but nothing new in perfume matters. I'll give 5 out of 10 N.B. A 10 ml unit is not bad idea in general, but for 1€/ ml here, you can find better.

This is a Limited Edition, not available anymore here in the Netherlands @ Rituals (web)shop. This EDP is not very strong on me, smell not bad but nothing special for me. Now there is another Limited Edition: Oasis Verte Edit 06 Oct 2017: It is back again in another bottle. Dark brown see-through bottle now, not the dark (black) bottle where you can't see the juice.

Well if someone thinks this resembles Bleu de Chanel, I suggest you try Bleu de Chanel again. This doesn't even come close to neither the EDT nor the EDP version. That said, I guess one could argue that a Zebra might look like a horse.

On first spray it smelled like a typical/generic woody men's fragrance that is not really pine or cardamom or patchouli; in the drydown it smells more like ambergris and is a woody aquatic.

Got a sniff of this at the rituals boutique, it is a patchouli bomb, I could not smell pine at all. Way too feminine for my taste.
