Long time viewer/user of this site and never felt the need to post except now. I received this bottle on Saturday and promptly purchased 3 more today. The fragrance is THAT good. I am aware that it is a limited (re) release and there is no guarantee Rituals will do so again in the future therefore, I decided to buy backup bottles to protect against them ending the run or a dreaded reformulation. This is a scent that is signature worthy, I have been searching for such a scent now for over 3 years. I had the good fortune of browsing through Bloomingdale's back in 2010 two weeks after BdC hit the counters and the rest is history. However, now BdC is EVERYWHERE and the fragrance has lost that extra bit of mystery and imho allure, that once made it such a compelling scent to own and wear. Additionally, the performance has been muted substantially. I own over 75 fragrances and maybe 4 of those have backups. This fragrance deserves to be rated 4.95, it is spectacular. Simple sometimes (usually) works best, and whether by accident or by design, somehow Rituals has managed to pull off a true rarity in perfumery. They managed to create a truly stunning scent profile from as far as I can tell, less than 8 or 9 notes- all while giving the fragrance a true scent pyramid that is both bright and seductively masculine at the same time! Ladies and gentlemen, this is a VERY, VERY HARD task to accomplish, especially in a market like our present one in 2020. The opening is crisp black currant along with what smells like raspberries and maybe a touch of lime or maybe pomegranate. Its airy, sharp and bright..the words that I think best describe the opening are crisp and inviting..it smells like morning mountain air with a light breeze of berries..and as soon as you begin to get comfortable with this crisp sensation the sharp black currant note steps back and you are greeted with the most brilliant sage and fresh green mint such that your eyebrows are sure to be raised ...this is when the fragrance really opens up ..because within 15 or so minutes a luxurious vetiver and to me what smells like dry amber or maybe balsam fir (its rich, piney and resinous) hits you. The green, woody base along with the sage middle is the most refreshing scent explosion I've smelled in over a decade ...since that fortuitous afternoon at Bloomingdale's a decade ago! I am writing this not necessarily to alert the general public to this marvel of a fragrance but to alert the person who may not really be a connoisseur or a fragrance snob who happens to smell and like this gem and then finds themselves on this site. I am writing to them so that they can realize that they have indeed struck absolute perfume GOLD. Enjoy!!

Got this one yesterday, and today I had a full wear. I've always loved the scent of blackcurrant, both the berry and leaves. This one has absolutely nailed the sweet aromatic smell of the berries and combined with sage and vetiver, it's gorgeous! I get mostly blackcurrant and vetiver, sage and woodsy notes keep in the background. Staying power is very good, as one would expect from an edp concentration. I also get a Bvlgari style tea vibe as well, but that can be an illusion from the combination of other notes. The woodsy base notes are silky smooth and warm, too. Bang for the buck is excellent, I got the 15 ml bottle for about 13 euros, and the product feels definitely more luxurious than the price point.

If rituals made a Sauvage... well, they did, and this is the result. Dylan Blue was also the first thing that it reminded me of, but it's deeper and more oriental. You can really smell the blackcurrant which makes it all a bit softer, sweeter and warmer and gives some color compared to the metal smell of Sauvage. A higher class version of Sauvage. If I didn't have that one already I would buy this immediately. One spray on my hand could still be smelled almost 24h later. Beast mode! Pretty nice! EDIT: My wishes have been fulfilled.. back on the shelves! New bottle, same performance. Literally lasts multiple days through showers. At 48h now and can still clearly smell it as a skin scent.

I always get intrigued when Rituals introduces a new line and this season it is all about the Ritual of Yalda. This perfume is no doubting one of the best creations of Rituals. It opens to a green citrus scent, it could be the sage but nothing interesting for me. The opening is very masculine but after 15 minutes it changes into a fruity amber scent. It has a very middle eastern scent which is distinctive. It is not very sweet because the woodsy/amber notes tones it down giving warmth to this fragrance. This fragrance turns unisex within 30min, a warm, cozy and long lasting perfume. For me this fragrance is like being wrapped in a cashmere blanket.

This is the first fragrance I ever got and only after expending my collection I realize how solid this scent is/was. Its not too much and its not too little. The silage doesn't flow through the room but it for sure isn't subtle. Its so inoffensive and malleable, it allows you to wear it to any event and still make it make sense. Gym, office, errands, whatever. My og light blue-ish bottle is almost done, and unfortunately the newer dark blue bottle is a reformulation. The line is discontinued and I will forever be looking for something similar. 7/10

I was smelling this scent on men and always being shy to ask what it was. And I still do not know what perfume’s dupe/clone is Nuit D’Azur but I don’t care cause it is perfect. It is a soft, woodsy black currant & sage scent. The juice, bottle and package are so charming. This is a must have for men ! I got one for my husband and it made me happier than the perfumes I got for myself.

Really nice, smells a little like Tygar but with a tart and sparkly black current note. Performance is average, if this was longer lasting/projecting it would really be amazing. But as is the price is amazing and I don’t mind carrying a pocket atomizer anyways. Very versatile, you could wear this in the gym or office, day or night, any season.

This scent is in the same zone as Dylan Blue, Mr Burberry, Aqua Atlantique and Sauvage. The currant note gives it a little more rounded and juicy quality. Very pleasant and comforting. Not a huge ambroxen bomb like some of the other fragrances in this category.

Wow! Rituals makes really good quality fragrances! I just received a 15 ml bottle, and it smells amazing! I get a hint of grapefruit, I guess from the currant and vetiver mix. It is a great scent for spring/summer, with good longevity and sillage.

FAN-TAS-TIC crowd pleaser again from Rituals, with great performance. I get a little Office for Men and a little Hermès Un Jardin Sur Le Nil out of it. Perfect for spring and fall. 8/10

I love this! It's 98% close to Amiri of Arabian Oud, but alot cheaper. Performance and sillage are also really good! A profound male scent with a lot of amber. Good job Rituals!

Okay - this smells amazing! Like a softer sauvage with black currant.

Reminds me of GPH2 What I get is something similar to violet which I would guess is the sage/geranium mixed with vetiver/woods. The most prominent notes are the black currant in the opening and the vetiver/woods. As it dries down the black current gets brighter with the more earthy elements in the background. The sage and geranium are there also as a support. It’s got a bit of a soapy quality to it, maybe the vetiver Im smelling. It’s a pretty basic scent. Doesn’t blow me away but it’s a nice, anytime, “dumb reach” fragrance (I use that term with the utmost respect). I like it. It’s a nice calming scent. Imagine GPH2 but with black current. I’ll have to give it a full wearing to establish longevity but projection is soft from what I can gather. I give it a solid 7

Great new release from Rituals as always. Opens with a energetic blackcurrant and settles down to strong manly woods. At first sniff I was impressed. It gives a similar vibe to Versace Dylan Blue, but then more rich and unique due to the blackcurrant. I am pretty sure there is some Ambroxan in this fragrance too, even though it is not listed. The performance so far is also great as with all Rituals perfumes. Stellar limited release again from Rituals, hope they keep it in their repertoire like they did with the incredible Oasis Verte.

Rerating, This is good i was not fan of it but, really something with 50 euros, it’s good and performs so good to it’s price, look you get a classy classic perfume black currant lasts from the opening with the ginger and vetiver you’ll love it for a 50 euros!! I'm not sure I think it’s considered niche .. man this is fun so enjoyable you see it immediately buy it, cause it’s always out of stock.

A very pleasant sweet fragrance, the blueberry definitely comes through. The wood scent definitely comes through in the dry down, and overall good value for money.

Amazing opening with blackcurrant; it slowly progresses to a woody, earthy tone that's really comforting. Unmistakably manly and classic.

I like the fragrance but it lasts about 5 minutes. I regret for that reason my purchase. Too bad cause the smell is wonderfull.

I hate the term ‘Dumb Reach’ but at the same time can’t think of a better alternative; as it works so well at describing those fragrances that you just choose over smelling of ‘nothing’ but work across all seasons. This is juuuust north of what’s an established ‘dumb reach’. This has enough about it that it appears to be a decent fresh fragrance; for me it’s really fairly decent. I like it but even at its affordable price I’m not going to rush out to buy it; but I would be pleased if I was gifted a bottle.

Its not bad but just smells like a lot of aftershaves to me. Especially the basic gilette one
