Rose de Shiraz

At the moment this is one of my favorite rose scents as the rhubarb really emphasizes the damask rose scent which to me is slightly tart and fresh. The sillage is fine, I could feel the fragrance around me. Sadly this does not last long and within 2h you are left with only an soft sweet ambrette if you sniff your wrist. It opens very tart because of the rhubarb which smells natural and fresh but both the rose and rhubarb are in balance. With time the rhubarb settles in the background and the rose becomes more prominent and becomes more sweet but remains a bit tart. Then in about 2h (with 4 sprays), you are left with a sweet light musk from the ambrette. PROS: Refreshing and balanced CONS: Short longevity, hard to purchase in some countries Also this might not be something that a young person would reach for as the rhubarb + rose combo is quite strong, it has some sophisticated or even gothic vibe to it. Great for a hot summer evening out.

I always get compliments on this one! Some might disagree, but Roses de Shiraz gives me a gloomy feel in the best way possible. It smells like a misty rose garden on a warm, humid summer evening, in which you've just picked a basket full of bright red, perfectly ripe and juicy rhubarb spears. It's quite weak, but lasts longer if I spray a few times on my clothes. Perfect through spring, summer and early autumn. Truly a quirky yet inoffensive scent. One of my absolute favourites.

very rubarb and rose with some metalic notes as well, its almost greenish for me but still floral and musky, overall I like the scent, its not really what i would pick but it was already discontinued when i bought it so i tought it was unique. Sadly its discontinued i got my hands on a full size bottle because of an overstock sale at my rituals store here in the Netherlands.

It's not your classic powdery rose, neither is it a realistic fresh rose. To me, it is a culinary rose – reminiscent of rose-flavored Turkish delights, syrupy and sticky and slightly fruity. Got this on a trip to Paris (Rituals products aren't available in my country) last year and am very happy to own it. I find it fruity and bright.

I absolutely adore this perfume, beautiful rose and rhubarb notes. It also teams well with Molton Brown rhubarb and rose body lotion and shower gel...a wonderful combination

I love this perfume. I keep it on my mantle piece and wear it by my fire in the evenings at home. Comforting and mouth watering. I never want to be without it.

It's a very fresh rose fragrance, it's nowhere near as sweet as floral perfumes tend to be. The rhubarb is slightly citrusy to me.

A beautiful flanker; A beautiful box; A beautiful Rose scent. For me florals aren't the kind of perfumes I love/like the most but this one has a nice touch to it. Not a typical grandma cologne smelling Rose, but an elegant green and mature one. Think of mature in a develloped person way, that is elegant, has it all together, but not in an old person way. The Rhubarb making it even greener is the touch I'd never thought I'd like. Rhubarb is a pretty complex fruity and green note that can repulse me if not well blended in fragrances. The depth of the Ambrette makes it more aromatic and adds a slight intensity that I feel the perfume needed to not be overly floral and old lady style. It seems vintage even though it's from 2019. If you want to try it unfortunately it is discountinued, my mom got it because it was on sale and she didn't got to smell it before so itwas a blind buy. I don't think it is a safe blind buy speaking about it because if you're looking for a fresh and elegant floral it's perfect, but it still has a maturity to it and Rhubarb is kind of a polarising note as well. I'm glad I don't love it because now that it's discontinued, I will not miss it. But if floral green scents are your thing, try to look for a flanker in a Rituals store if they still have it... It's not original nor unique, already smelled that dna before but surpisingly I like it, pretty versatile scent when it comes to seasons in my opinion, so I'll give it a 5,5/10. Not groundbreaking but still has a nice quality and lasts long enough for a freshie.

I’m new to the world of perfumes and couldn’t quite pinpoint what I was smelling here but definitely noticed that this was a “cleaner” rose scent as far as rose scents go. I’m not too sure what rhubarb/ambrette smell like but I suppose the sweet green scent could be attributed to the rhubarb? The scent is incredibly gentle and inviting; like what I’d imagine a fresh dew drop on a rose petal would smell like. Or if you’d taken a bath in rose water and had a sort of perfumed, lightly rosy-but-watery smell afterwards. Fresh, clean, feminine. As noted by most other reviewers, the scent doesn’t last long at all which is a shame (for me!). Redeeming points for the availability of the 15ml travel size though — scent can easily be topped up throughout the day. I also really like the bottle! The wooden cap adds a classy touch and I always love amber glass. Note: after reading some other reviews, I noticed + concur that this is a little syrupy but you do have to stick your nose in and get a good sniff to bring that out.

I don't get the green scent at all. It's rather sweet and flowery. Also, Shiraz is a city in Iran/Persia located in a valley surrounded by mountains famed for its poets, gardens, pomegranates, wines and castles - Mountains, gardens, fruits, poets and wine. Not tigers in the desert! Why having an outdated erroneous orientalist gimmicky association linked to Shiraz? l don't understand the obsession people have by associating Iran/Persia with sand, desert and camels? Its beyond comprehension.

This is straight up a fresh out of the shower rose fragrance! It is clean and a juicy kind of rose. And the performance is amazing!! I love wearing this before going to bed and coming out of the shower. But out of all the fragrances I own, this is not the one I usually pick. It isn't wow to wear outside and I can't find the perfect occasion to wear it.

Nice, fresh, fruity summer rose. All of the notes are noticeable and seem pretty straightforward, like the ingredients are pretty natural. The rhubarb smells surprisingly good with the rose. It’s a nice fragrance, refreshing in hot weather. You still can find it on the Rituals website. Sadly, the lasting power isn’t good at all.

Green, slightly fruity but not sweet rose. Rather linear and simple scent. Nothing deep or spicy about it as one might assume from the design of the bottle. Comforting and light. Little bit like Paul Michell Rose. Does not last long.

A realistic scent of rose. Both green and lush. Unforunately it does not last long. Skinscent after about 1 hour. Longer on clothing. I don't mind really. I'd rather re-spray every few hours than suffocate.

At first, it starts as fruity and sweet, but after 5 minutes, the scent becomes fresh and very pleasant. Too bad it doesn't stay on for too long, which is too bad considering the price tag.

Just as stated, rose, rhubarb and pepper. Gourmand and sweet but in a soft, natural way. A touch of oriental, loads of feminity, the scent of a woman who likes to nap under a tree

Fresh green rhubarb with rose and an almost cucumber scent. Light, bright, and pleasant. Creates a nice, springlike cloud around me and gets many compliments.
