The Ritual of Chadō

This is the freshest of the Rituals body mists. Sadly discontinued but still available through their outlet.

This is a very green, calming scent. I use it before bed in summer, it is cool and comforting. It does say it is the scent of a Japanese garden and I have not had the pleasure. To me it is a slightly cool and humid Scandinavian summer night with dew drops on all the green leaves and in the grass. In my night gown on bare feet in the wet grass running down towards the lake for a nightly swim, a silent excitement in the air, barely no sound except the water towards the edge of the lake and cries of the birds of the night, a row deer barking in the distance. The water feels warmer than the still, cool night air but the air is filled with the scent of all the green. Nice. Maybe my favourite from Rituals, definitely my Rituals summer favourite. I layer with fruity, citrus or floral summer scents if I want something more since it is quite neutral. I love using with the skin cream from the same series before bed, it is very cooling and calming on a hot summer night.

My favorite Rituals fragrance! I think this is the only one that actually smells real vivid and naturalistic. It’s very fresh, cold and simply smells like a humid rainy forest, along with some floral sweetness. Very mature, enlightening and amazing for hot weather.
