Sahara Song

This is THE transitional perfume for the shift between summer and fall. When the morning wind carries a chill but the afternoon sun is still warm. It opens with iced, minty coconut milk that feels aromatic and herbal without leaning medicinal. It avoids the sharp bite that peppermint or eucalyptus would bring. Instead, it’s cozy, creamy, and lactonic with a touch of freshness blended in. The transformation into the dry down feels almost magical, telling a completely new story. The rose is light and airy, joined by spicy cardamom and mellow coffee beans. The result is warm and slightly ambery. A truly beautiful fragrance. I can’t wait for the weather to turn cooler so I can wear it with a cardigan and an iced chai.

I grabbed this one as a blind buy since it wasn’t in the discovery set I tried before it launched. The notes (and a few trusted reviews) convinced me to go for it, and honestly—the magic really happens on skin. The opening has this refreshing minty coolness, but the dry down turns into a warm mix of rose, cardamom, and woody musk. I can already tell it’s going to be perfect once the weather starts to cool down.

Smells like walking into a Lush store, weirdly nice actually. I can see why some people find this confusing though, it has a lot going on but after 30 minutes on skin it settled down and became more coherent. I haven’t been a fan of mint in perfumes but this is an exception.

This one is unique. The mint tea leads and projects very well lending a fresh feel to the initial experience. The scent then flows gently into a warm rose followed by a distinct vetiver. Overall a pleasure to wear. I have received several compliments with this perfume.

Reminds me of a trip I took to Joshua Tree national park. I didn’t like it at first because the mint starts out very overwhelming, but it becomes subtle after it dries. It’s fresh, unisex, and appropriate for everyday. Smells like a cool night in the desert.

It’s okay. On skin, it’s mainly a sweet floral scent, but on paper it smells like milk tea—more like the kind from instant sachets, not very natural, mostly artificial flavoring and sweetener. Sweet overall

Better on the skin...the mint is still there but less in your face. I wish it was slightly less powdery

Some fragrances just feel like they suffer from an identity crisis. Sahara Song would be one of them. It reminds me of sampling a lot of disparate flavors at once, like Monin syrups or something. Minty flavors followed by creamy, coconutty flavors, over to mocha, then a shot of something spicy. The flavors (and aromas) start to converge and the palate seizes up. It's sort of also reminds me of what happens when I smell too many different fragrances without resetting my nose, only I am feeling this effect after just smelling this. The competently woody, floral dry down is definitely more cohesive, but nothing that moves me to tears, really.

It's an interesting take on a mint tea scent, as it presents all the herbal aromas you would expect but coats the scent in a creamy and syrupy sweet warm floral and fruity concoction. The rose in here is jammy and the mint has impressive staying power. However, I can't help but feel that it pulls ever so slightly medicinal. Unfortunately, it's not a love for me.

This brand consistently surprises me with notes I think I will hate blended so well that I forget my preferences entirely. It's beautiful. There is a little mint that reminds me of Saint Julep by Imaginary Authors, but not nearly as strident. This is like a sweet mint gum paired with peony and general unclear fruitiness. Very beautiful in a delicate way. 8/10

This is an interesting one. Definitely better on skin, more minty on paper. It’s not my favorite but still nice to try.
