Vison EDT

Gorgeous creation. My nose isn't trained in the detection of the widest variety of notes, but I do smell jasmine with soft ylang-ylang. More than that, is the strawberry note which is very like the old Victoria's Secret Strawberries and Champaign of which I still have my micro mini from 18 years ago (which still smells the same!). This strawberry note is not like a candy version but rather quite sophisticated. There is an ever so slightly green edge to it and definitely a tartness within it's initial presentation that verges on sour. Vison is Strawberries and Champagne with a glorious floral arrangement and sexy but clean musk. I smell its lovely vanilla mostly in the dry down. (I like it a great deal.) It smells like real perfume! While being all the beauty of a vintage, it remains entirely wearable. I would use this at night and while dressed nicely, although the tiniest drop could be worn for day use. It is the beginning of autumn at the time of this review, and the fragrance is well suited for this slightly cooler weather. Vison also has decent sillage and very good longevity. I was quite lucky with my blind buy in having procured a mini in, what appears to be, excellent condition. I hope to find more like it! I'll add I feel the fur on the bottle cap suits very well the juice inside.

This is a classic 80s powerhouse. "Vison" is of the same character as 1981's "Giorgio" by GBH and 1991's "Moments" by Priscilla Presley- that is, White & Yellow Florals in a bed of Spices and Animals, alit by Aldehydes. This has to be the most aggressive use of mimosa I have ever encountered...no soft pillows of yellow, this is a giant opaque fog, descending upon the wearer and everyone within 20 feet! Don't be fooled by the Strawberry note, it isn't the luscious fruit of Balenciaga's "Talisman", but more like the fresh sensation of biting into an under-ripe strawberry. Ditto for the Mandarin, this is more the spritz of a just opened fruit than the taste of a sweet slice. The Ylang/Mimosa pairing is the star of this show, and the Base of a fatty Vanilla, creamy Woods, and a true Musk buoys it for hours. I also get a Narcissus note that isn't officially there. Tremendous potency, although Vison manages to maintain a certain lilting airiness that others of its class do not. This is an excellent example of its type, although I have to admit to suffering mild nausea and headache after anything more than a teeny application. It's like a painting that's a fine example of its genre, but unbearable to my personal tastes.

Unlike "Vison noir" this one is more lighter and i would say more cheaper smelling version of both Visons. Also very good with a mink, but can be used on a regular basis. In this one i smell a wood note but something fresh and like citrus also. In my opinion this is completly different from "Vison Noir". More simplified and drier version of "Noir" though "Noir" was made later i guess than this one.

Vintage, a present. It is related to Byzance on my skin, but is less dewy. Am liking the scent.

Honestly? This is a love it or hate it fragrance that will attract very specific people. I’m more on the hate it side but I know some people like it. It lasts forever and has decent power around other people, so if you like it thats a pro. On me it leaned to a strong animalic, chemical scent that dried to be more dusty and woody. Not great for me, but strong and more unisex. Don’t blind but this unless you can do returns as not everyone will like this.

This is definitely vintage. I remembered myself way back, a grade school student showing off my 'furry' perfume to everyone. But in I reality, I hated it so much for it was too strong for my taste and age. It smelled like a dusty flower from an old cabinet. I choked every time a take a sniff. After several years, i threw it away. I can't hold on it anymore.

In this one, I detect a wood note as well as something fresh and citrus-like. I assume this is a more simple and drier version of the exquisite "Noir." I detect jasmine, gentle ylang-ylang, and a strawberry scent. This strawberry note is far from candy-like, but rather elegant. It has a very tiny green tinge to it. Its delicious vanilla comes through largely in the dry down. Vison also has an excellent sillage and a lengthy lifespan. Extremely adaptable. Superb!

Soft animalic leather. Quite furry and bit animalic leather with slight musky cosmetic powder strawberries beside bits of sambac (Syrian jasmines), ylang, powdered cedar, and bit harsh sandalwood. I can't really detect patchouli but maybe the dark element that it presents makes it visible somehow! This one differs from the noir version and it's quite beautiful.

The bottle design is so dopey, but this juice is MAGNIFICENT. Juicy strawberry grounded by rich woods. Love.

Mm mm. A fruity vintage perfume. Best of both worlds.
