Spring season is near ahead of us so I want to share with you a very special one for this particular months. VALOUR is a scent that sets you in holiday vacation mood and setting. A perfect one to wear on vacation or when you need to step back from the routines, feel ease and slow down. It transports the wearer to a very nice outdoor lawnyard in daylight with few big trees that shade you from the sun. Soft whispering wind occasionally blowing give a perfect touch to the cozy atmosphere. At this moment it will best just to have the time for yourself and unwind. Sitting or laying at the ground to find comfort one with the mother nature. This fragrance is very airy yet has enough presence to be noticeable. Although it is composed from heavy notes I don't find any particular one distinctive to the nose. Mild aromatic spicy sage infused with a whiff of coffee and a very bright amber creates this vivid scenery in my mind. It will most likely suit the people who enjoy non intrusive scent with light ambery touch and also love coffee smell without the intention of wearing gourmand. People who loves Ambre Précieux from Maitre Parfumeur et Gantier and Givenchy PLAY Homme will definitely love it since it almost comes across like the combination of both. Robert Graham Valour is a classy release, alongside two others from the house, from 2016, an easygoing yet interesting mix of clary sage, coffee, and amber. A little sweet, a little dirty, a little woody. Not too heavy, not too light. It has the vibe of both an everyday scent (for, say, all but the hottest weather) as well as something dressed up and special, and in that respect, it’s highly versatile as a targeted men’s option, though frankly it’s not stereotypically masculine, but rather just more mature-leaning, so I think anyone could wear this. It’s not groundbreaking but has that balance between being comfortably familiar and being intriguing to the point of wanting to continue smelling it. And it performs well overall, not with much projection but good longevity. I was fortunate to find a 100ml bottle at Marshalls a little over a year ago that I bought blind for $30, but the retail on this is still $90 (for final sale) on the Robert Graham website, so from that, I take that it’s been discontinued. It’s priced even higher on some secondary markets, it seems. At $30 it’s a steal, but it’s useful enough that the retail cost is reasonable, as well. There is also a decanter size on the website, $198 for 250ml, also on final sale. 8 out of 10

Updating my previous review a year later as my partner just got this out again for fall and this is still so nice! Super comforting and cozy. Lifespan may not be THE longest, but it doesn’t really go on a journey throughout the wear either (just gets less strong) so reapplying is uncomplicated. This is straightforward but not in a boring way, it’s very good at what it is, it just isn’t doing different things as you wear it - no notes emerging or receding, no plot twists or surprises. Just reliable and well balanced/blended. For the same reason, layering is definitely an option too. My partner has taken to layering this with Commodity’s Vetiver, and it’s quite a nice combo. Both fragrances are well blended and have this creamy, lactonic, balmy quality so they compliment each other extremely well.

What an amazing fragrance.now this is gourmand coffee fragrance. Its elegant seductive and unique. I have smelled a lot of coffee fragrances but this one beats them all. Its not a potent strong coffee scent but just right balance of it. The combination of amber and sage are awesome. It is very safe to wear because its not too strong to the nose. Wow awesome fragrance. This could be a signature scent a date scent or night out scent. Not too sweet. Everything in this fragrance is well balanced. This probably the best fragrance I've smelled in 2018. This fragrance resemble to tom ford noir extreme, dior homme intense la nuit de lhomme valentino uomo intense.you know that seductive sexy night out scent. Great on winter and cool breezy weather.

This is a favorite of mine. The scent lasts about 8 hours for me, but doesn't project a lot after the first hour or so. I find that it becomes less sweet with time as the amber fades, pushing the coffee and sage to the front. I think I saw someone compare this combination to cigarette tobacco. I can see why someone might make that association, but to my nose it is a very masculine contrast to the sweet amber. Perfect for fall and winter or cool evenings in the spring. This is a great scent for intimate settings. @Rob321x I think that people might have assumed that the scent was discontinued because bottles began to pop up at Marshals style stores.
