DARK, SMOKY AND DIVINE EXPRESSO The roasted coffee smell together with resins, a mix of burned oud (and other woods) and burned rubber, are easy to remark upon spraying. This accord is truly pleasant and is unquestionably the DNA of this perfume. After some time, and approaching the drydown, some sweetness, earthy patchouli, and smoked vetiver are also detectable. The fragrance seems to be complete with those bottom scents. This perfume is quite balsamic, dark and smoky. It's truly my kind of fragrance and Piguet excels when blending this type of scents. The nose behind this perfume is Aurelien Guichard, the "regular" perfumist of this house. Besides other Robert Piguet's gems like Bois Noir, Casbah, Visa and Cravache, Guichard signed recently a couple of perfumes that are a reference for me, namely Ferragamo's "Uomo" and Zadig & Voltaire's "This is Him". The first one is sweet and balsamic while the second is balsamic, smoky and has a dark aura. Both of them are somewhat related to this Oud Divin masterpiece. Performance is well above average with longevity above ten hours, a sillage above 7~8 feet and projecting fairly for three hours or so. Bang! Absolutely uncompromising. Aurelien Guichard seems to have a thing about crafting guilty pleasures. Coffee and dry resins set off a really feral (yet not brash)oud note marvellously at the beginning. It gradually melds into a dank Patchouli bomb laced with a streamlined, yet characterful vetiver, the whole time a whispering animalic thing keeps lurking in the background keeping the interest levels high. The materials have unbelievable depth. bravo. I have owned two different bottles from the same batch ('5D1') and they had clear differences to my nose. I never tested them side by side, but i'm sure my first bottle had a much more chunky rawness to the vetiver (which i loved). My second bottle has more clarity to the dry coffee note, leans much heavier towards patchouli, and has a more tamed vetiver (which i'm sad about). Technically this would be seen as heavily masculine, but I actually think it would suit a mysterious and powerful lady much better. Forget all this talk of 'nothing since Bandit': Casbah, Bois Noir, and DIvin are truly singular creations.

Wow. I really like this. I originally tried it in Selfridges in London and wasn’t sure. The more I drove home smelling it, the more I regretted not buying it. Needless to say, it was something I insisted on buying on my next visit. Imagine Tom Ford's Patchouli Absolu, add in some dark and bitter chocolate and some strong coffee and then mix it all up with a splash of well blended vetiver and you get an understanding of what this is. I do admit that I am a fan of strong patchouli scents; the earthy masculine vibe is something that really appeals to me. Add into it the mix the bitter dark chocolate/coffee twist and this is something really special. This is not a clubbing fragrance, and as I am wearing it in winter, I can’t imagine it working in summer months. This is something you would associate with a well cut suit or jacket. I wear it for business and is just radiates class and affluence. A really enjoyable dark and delicious fragrance. Do please test rather than blind buy though. It’s certainly not mainstream at all!

Possibly one of the best aromas to charm my nose in the entire history of (my)universe! Magnificent blend. Wipes the floor with other perfumes claiming to be coffeecentric (Sorry, Follow, I wanted to be impressed, but no dice), and does so just by it's overall dark, smooth, adult vibe. I know folks are fed up with oud, because people selling hype whack stuff in our face because they lack imagination, but, you know, vanilla, rose, citrus, bloody amber, motherflipping tonka beans, etc, etc, they are all ingredients, some of them, you may have heard of before, which is my way of saying that, who cares, if it smells like you're standing on top of a mountain in a velvet dressing gown conducting god and nature. The opening I could see as being a bit bold for some, though I like it, but the drydown, which lasts, and lasts, and lasts...is sublime, darkly so, definitely test though, really, though for me, a full bottle is heading my way, and it is a tad pricey, but it is worth it.

I've been looking for my perfect coffee fragrance for so long now and after reading reviews here and all over the net and watching YT reviews I went straight for this one. And Sweet zombie Jesus!! This is it! Its like opening a box of very expensive bitter, dark chocolates whilst drinking a cup of very strong coffee - I'm in heaven! HOWEVER... The coffee isnt eternal and what I'm left with is that bitter chocolate (gotta be the patchouli), slightly sticky oudh (very very wearable) and a resinous tonka. Still happier than a pig in poop thats for sure :D As a female I find Oud Divin very unisex and super sexy. My tastes in fragrance swing wildly between tooth-achingly sweet feminine to dark, bitter, spicy and often thought of as masculine territory, but let me tell you, a woman could certainly rock this one. Thanks to all the positive reviews here as you managed to sway me in the most fantastic direction and I'm eternally in your debt. Big loves!

I adore the olfactive quartet: western oud+patchouli+ambery resins and coffee (Duro, Garuda, Myrhh Imperial, Immortelle Corse) and this masterpiece here one of the best using this quartet so craftfully, it opens up with joyous resins and highest quality western oud, immediatly suoported by coffee and beautiful earthy patchouli, lateron the rejuvenating vetiver joins this play, its deep, complex but somehow also airy and easily wearable. Each time I use this masterwork, it blooms up my day literally in every sense. Longeivity ans sillage are oractically out of measurement scope, lasts on my skin until the next morning till I get a shower and on my clothes staight for 2-3 days

Such a beautiful and potent fragrance. To me the combination of coffee and oud (this is dry woody type of oud, nothing animalic nor scanky is going on in here) creates this rich aroma of dark chocolate with coffee beans. As it dries down, patchouli gets more strength and the result is creamy and perfectly balanced dance of these three ingredients. It is super unique and very well performing fragrance, almost gourmand, best for winter or fall. Scent: 9/10 Performance: 8/10 Versatility: 6/10

The initial blast is quite something: the oud is present with its slightly rubbery aroma, patchouli with a heady and chocolate kick and the coffee brings a bitter and savory taste. All this is sweeten by the tonka bean. More than one hour in, a green (vetiver) note reaches the surface; this is a combination that I haven't experienced before and the mix of oud, patchouli and vetiver with a touch of coffee is surely interesting. It's dry, dusty, bittersweet and green. 8/10

I love this fragrance. Very elegant and with a certain sex appeal. It can be used in 4 seasons, night and day, just reducing spraying in summer and during the day. Nice and discreet coffee note, not gourmet, more spicy. The quality of the raw materials is perfect, mine macerated for 1 year and became more blended and harmonious. This house works more with quality than advertising and its customers use to be faithful.

Mmmmm...a mega oud/warm coffee bean bomb. I don't mind oud to be fair but I still have to be cautious. It has a wonderful coffee and resin velvety warmth. So plush. A little sweetness from the Tonka. I think it's very unisex so ladies do give this a sniff. It reminds me of bitter dark chocolate. Delish. The perfect scent for a sunny autumn day. No surprise it has phenomenal longevity and good sillage.

10/10 on all levels. A new favorite. I've waited years to own this, and finally found a bottle. The coffee note is so realistic. Combined with the oud and patchouli, this fragrance almost turns into Gourmand territory. This is a true hidden gem. I can't wait to share this amazing creation.

How perfectly named this fragrance is! This is the Oud I have longed for...heavy, but not overpowering, rich but not too sweet, other notes performing the careful balancing act that makes it 'Divin'. This has become my new signature...when you know, you know.

I’ll keep this one short and sweet...smells like coffee and pipe tobacco to me and is the best frag this house does (for a man) imho.

This is predominantly a spicy, woodsy fragrance with a bit of rich coffee sweetness. It’s nice, I don’t dislike it but it’s just not quite my personal taste.

realistic coffee on a too sour woody base, mostly a not very pleasant (and already done better by other brands) coffee-vetyver combo. Nothing oudy and most certainly nothing divine

So far, I haven't had much luck with coffee fragrances - they're either too sweet (A*Men), too caramelised/charred (Follow), or simply not *coffee* enough (Black Phantom). Oud Divin hits the nail on the head for the coffee note: it's smoky but not scorched; it's aromatic but not sharp. Natural coffee extracts tend to be loud but short-lived, and as a result the composition tends to be destabilised by it, with supporting notes sticking out awkwardly after the coffee disappears. In Oud Divin, the bitter, dry coffee note is remarkably stable, and is supported by a dark, smoky woody note (ostensibly oud, but it doesn't strike me as particularly oud-like). This amplifies the acridity and dryness of the composition, making me reach for water every time I take a deep breath from my wrist, and also keeps it from becoming a pure coffee fragrance by adding some body. It's a little harsh up close, but smells pretty amazing in the air; it has an air of mystique and allure. As it dries down, a warm, musky animalic note somewhat reminiscent of civet emerges, adding an interesting, even sensual dimension to an otherwise relatively linear fragrance. This is definitely a bold composition that's bound to grab others' attention. I still can't quite make up my mind on what I think of it - most days, I'd find it too dry and dark due to its lack of sweetness, but on days when it matches my mood, it makes me feel like a boss. If you like coffee, definitely check this out.

I entirely agree with james.morris: wow! After having smelled a sample of this scent I actually bought a bottle. It is actually possible to reach Oud from yet another angle. I have definitely not smelled something similar before. A very original scent, so try before you buy. But try.

Wow this is a bomb. One of those scents you sometimes smell on arabic ladies with burkas in Harrods. Like they leave a streak, of powerul expensive oud that makes you want to follow them around. A lot of oomph here I think it's the coffee that adds a powerful depth somehow.

Patch bomb, can barely get any coffee it's that dominating. The oud isn't too skanky, more deep woodsy. Resins and tonka really sweeten this up, oud turns barny on the drydown. Definitely not for the faint of heart, oud and patch lovers only! (Still no coffee note...)

Oud is apparently the "new black" in today's world of perfumery!
