This is a stunner. Has aspects of Angel - chocolatey patch with a fruitiness that isn’t gourmand (no plastic peach) - just adds some transparency. The rose seems to weave in and out in a fresh and slightly citrusy way. I get a creamy floral that peeks in and out like sheers in a breeze. It’s there, it retreats and is back again. You don’t get a flat linear scent. The woodiness and musk more apparent with time. At times I swear I get a feel of YSL’s Rouge Velours as well (in the neighbourhood not carbon copy). Happily it’s nothing like POAL (I’ve had enough of the emulations). This one is gorgeous. Very strong and long lasting. Performs very well and suits cooler days with a breeze so that sillage can really trail.

I've had this for a while now and it gets better with age! V is very sweet with the fruit / rose / patchouli / leather .. all dancing about during the "development" phase. As the honeymoon ends , the takeaway is something very unique that - I probably have never smelled before. It's like ALL the ingredients (including the fruit) said "let's all get along and treat each other EQUALLY". That's basically it- BUT remember this is by Piguet, Father of Fracas so the quality of this is superb! The volume is great as well. The whole thing feels like a high end sweet floral SANGRIA . Would I wear this every day for shopping and errands ? No. Will I repurchase this ? No. This is one of my "library scents" that I take out from time to time and give myself a nite-cap spritz. GRADE: A minus. LUSH's Rose Jam Body Spray is the "Britney" version of this . So sad that Robert Piguet perfumes have almost NO retail presence here in the USA ! (Maybe Nordstom carries a few of them?)
