Vanilla Mystique

I remember waiting with genuine excitement for the launch of Capucci’s Gold collection — three fragrances with distinct personalities. I had seen the teasers online, those elegant bottles glinting like liquid gold, and I couldn’t wait to try them. When I finally found them at Acqua & Sapone for just €24.90, I rushed to test them. And yet, my first impression was... disappointing. Don’t get me wrong — the scents were delightful, but nothing stirred me. I left the store a little disheartened, my curiosity unsatisfied. I was not in the mood, or it simply was not my sanny day. Weeks passed. Then something nudged me to give them another chance. Back at the shop, only one bottle remained — Eterna Essenza. I grabbed it without hesitation. Later, I found the other two in another store. That’s how Vanilla Mystique came into my collection — and, over time, into my affection. Every wear feels slightly different, always beautiful, and I still get unexpected compliments hours later. Observing the olfactory pyramid, Vanilla Mystique presents itself as the most essential with just 5 declared notes, Eterna Essenza achieves an intermediate complexity with 9 notes, whilst Aurora Nera stands out as the most articulate composition in the collection, with no fewer than 13 notes The liquid shines a deep, luminous gold — fitting for a fragrance built on vanilla, woods, musk, and the soft creaminess of coconut. It opens with a powdered coconut accord and a whisper of heliotrope, adding a tender, almost talc-like touch. The vanilla rises immediately, but not as a gourmand cliché — rather airy and sophisticated, like vanilla sugar floating in sunlight. As it develops, the bourbon vanilla takes centre stage, deepened by dry, smoky woods that shift the coconut into something leafier — almost fig-like. The result is a warm, elegant heart with quiet depth: a vanilla with presence, not excess. Do I like it? Yeah. At the base, white musks and salty amber tones envelop the composition, lending it a clean, modern glow. The woods remain as a slender thread, grounding the scent without heaviness. The final impression is a powdery, woody, salty vanilla — serene, textured, and luminous. Some say Vanilla Mystique draws inspiration from Vanilla Powder Eau de Parfum. I can’t confirm that firsthand, but I do own Immortal Vanilla — which mirrors it — and the resemblance is clear. Like many Arabic-inspired creations, it’s beautifully unisex. Creamy yet not sugary, warm yet fresh, with a lactonic smoothness balanced by salty musk and dry wood. Best worn in colder seasons — autumn through early spring — and perfect for quiet evenings, special occasions, or after dusk. This is not a “dessert vanilla”: it’s refined, mature, and meditative — a comforting whisper rather than a shout. Owned since September 2025.

@Vincent Law It was a statement that this is yet another mediocre dupe brand, none of the three new releases stand out and are worth the money, and yes I've tried them and gave them away because they are garbage for their price. You can find better vanillas at Zara, Lattafa, and from Deliplus. Please do not assume that I am a fragrance snob bathing only in luxury perfumes, it only shows how narrow minded and snobbish you are. 45% of fragrances in my collection are cheapies from across various decades and affordable brands.

Just another dupe brand stealing other's formulas and design... Love how Parfumo moderator Elysium (prince64 here) is selling this collection to the audience across all platforms like his life depends on them.

@fragpixiephotography Fragrance pyramids and formulas are not patented, cry me a river. This elitist and snobist attitude of some fragrance "lovers" who don't accept that it can be a democratic hobby for those who can't afford spending hundreds in a fragrance that was produced with 10-20 dollars of materials AT WORST is incredibly sad, go touch some grass and stop harassing people.
