A soft combination of florals and woody notes with a creamy undertone to it. Very unique and unusual, but beautifully put together, and suitable for day wear giving a noticeably different feel compared to most florals. Not a girlie floral but truly unisex. The balance between the florals and the cedar and musk give it an exotic island scent on a warm tropical day. Im trying to collect all the Gold Collection, and was apprehensive about this, but am delighted with it as it is an original fragrance.

Heartbroken to hear that this has been discontinued, i have never smelled anything like this. Its a perfume that i have a really hard time describing because its blended to perfection. Like the citrus is there in the opening but i wouldnt consider this a citrus scent by anymeans, its much smoother and softer however, its not soapy either. Its a floral vanilla wow pow bamd damn. Holding on to the last bits left in bottle as long as i can.

I want to start by saying I am a big fan of this Gold Collection line and hyacinth is one of my favorite notes, but Imperial Hyacinth left me disappointed. As mentioned I love a good purple floral and regularly wear Chloe Love and Tom Ford Ombre Hyacinth and I hoped this would add another dimension to my favorite note. Here hyacinth is merely a supporting player and not the center of attention. In fact, I am not sure what the focus is here as this comes across a bit muddled. My impression of this is a powdery, chalky, and opaque and I would not describe this as fresh or floral at all. I'm thinking the musk and cedar smothers all of the other notes, making this a bit heavy and dank. I can't think of an occasion to wear this who what demographic this is aimed for. Again, I found the other offerings from this line luxe, unisex, and really high quality but unfortunately this one left me a bit confused. Vaguely sweet and vaguely musky, Imperial Hyacinth should have been called something else, as the name is seriously misleading. Thumbs down.
