Roberto Cavalli Eau de Parfum

The first time I tried it in a perfume store, I was new to this world, this perfume was incomprehensible to me, I did not expect to use the beauty of the smell of benzoin and tonka beans, but after I trained my nose, I began to recognize the scent of perfumes and discover it, I realized that this perfume is an attractive perfume, but when penetrating the bottle, the amount of benzoin with tonka beans is bigger than vanilla. The intensive benzoin scent with a reasonable amount of creamy vanilla take it's time in appearing, perhaps two hours after spraying the perfume, a moderate amount of tonka beans in addition to the scent of orange in the background, also Pink Pepper in the top notes it does not last for a long time or bothers me, an elegant feminine perfume, and I love to use it later when I get older to forty perhaps, romantic perfume that does not suit small ages in my opinion, but some women prefer this type of perfumes that gives a sense of luxury, especially that it's kind of perfumes characterized by strength and femininity. This fragrance suitable to wear it at night in winter or Autumn seasons. Surely It lasts along time. أول مرة جربته في متجر للعطور كنت جديدة على هذا العالم، هذا العطر كان غير مفهوماً بالنسبة لي، لم أستطع التمييز لجمال رائحة البنزوين وحبوب التونكا، لكن بعد أن دربت أنفي وبدأت في التعرف على رائحة العطور واختبارها، أدركت أن هذا العطر هو عطر ساحر لكنه في أغلب زجاجات الاختبار تكون فيه كمية البنزوين مع حبوب التونكا أعلى من الفانيلا. رائحة البنزوين الكثيفة مع كمية قليلة من الفانيلا الكريمية تأخذ وقتها في الظهور ربما بعد ساعتين من رش العطر وكمية معتدلة من حبوب التونكا بالإضافة إلى رائحة البرتقال في الخلفية، والفلفل هنا في النوتات العليا لا يدوم طويلاً ويزعجني، عطر رومانسي أنثوي أنيق، أحب امتلاكه لاحقًا عندما يتقدم بي العمر للأربعينيات ربما بحيث أنه عطر لا يناسب الأعمار الصغيرة حسب رأيي الخاص، لكن بعض الإناث تحب هذا النوع من العطور الذي يعطي إحساس بالفخامة خاصة أنه من العطور التي تتسم بالقوة والأنوثة. هذا العطر مناسب لارتدائه ليلاً في فصل الشتاء أو الخريف. بالتأكيد يدوم طويلاً.

2ND GENERATION "POISON" Amber-Floral. Vintage, full-bodied, sweet, white-floral-amber. I get honey, orange-blossom & near-grape tones with a little kick of pink pepper. I catch a glimpse of Serpentine Roberto Cavalli here and there, but this is punchier & more robust with orange-blossom & near-grape tones, but there is a similar dewy honey vibe in the background. Only orange-blossom is listed for white-florals but I get other white-florals enhancing different facets of orange-blossom. Jasmine brings a near-grape citrus quality & gardenia brings a creamy nutmeg. The benzoin here brings a near-raisin and sweet vanillic resinous quality. In the grape tones you will catch a glimpse of Poison Dior, which is likely where the vintage vibe comes from. Projects really well, to the point of nearly being obnoxious, but overall a strong performer. Although it's a gorgeous scent, this is a little too much for everyday for me. I would need to be in the mood, or at least be rockin' some shoulder pads & gold sequins. But fans of Poison Dior might like this interpretation. If this is a second generation Poison Dior scent, then My Way Giorgio Armani is the third generation that brings more bubblegum tuberose into the mix. Enjoy! Update 08/11/24: Sprayed this on this afternoon. Still very bombastic in the opening, even with one spray. I'm really enjoying some of the later stages with soft, powdery sweetness. One of the better orange-blossom scents that was made without petalia, imo. I compared this side by side with Boucheron Fleurs, and you really notice the difference. This is only 2012, but it gives me vintage vibes. I may layer it Boucheron Fleurs in future.

Very pretty! Sweet, warm, flowery. Very simple yet chic. A nice easy reach. Reminds me of my signature scent I wore years ago. Isn’t too loud or obnoxious. Slightly fresh. Not too spicy. Not too sweet. I get all the notes listed and the accords are accurate and in order. It isn’t the most memorable and doesn’t stand out, but it’s a great daily grab if you want to smell good. Super affordable as well. Safe blind buy unless the recipient dislikes any of the listed notes or accords. To me, this isn’t an exclusively evening or cold weather fragrance. It feels very versatile. I’d even say it’s office safe as long as you don’t overspray. Most similarly priced designer fragrances smell terrible, cheap and watered down to me. This is much better quality than many competitors. I’d recommend it for budget-conscious shoppers who loathe cheap watered down trendy concoctions. FYI I had Gaultiers Essence and another similar orange flower older Classique flanker and while I agree they have some similarities, I actually like this more. The classique flankers had a touch more “classique DNA” in them and weren’t as sweet, they also didn’t last long on my skin and dried down to a powdered orange drink/tang type scent. It also would disappear completely from my skin in 1 hr. Roberto Cavalli is sweeter, smells more of orange flower and less of orange powder concentrate, and lasts a lot longer. You can layer RC with Classique EDT to get the scent even closer to Essence.

I'm glad I happened to see a YouTube vlogger who persuaded me to buy this Roberto Cavalli EDP, because I'm not sure the Fragrantica pyramid would have convinced me. I was a little leery of this anyway because I have been having trouble with very sweet vanilla-forward fragrances lately--they tend to make me feel nauseated, and give me a headache--but this one is as intoxicating as the vlogger promised, and nothing at all like what the notes pyramid suggests. I get some vanilla, sure, but it's so perfectly balanced with orange blossom that it reads as floral-amber, not gourmand. The bottle is gorgeous, and a little goes a long way, so I will probably have this bad boy in my refrigerator for the rest of my life. To say that this is a fantastic bargain is to damn with faint praise; this fragrance smells better than many far more expensive perfumes in my collection. I tend to gravitate toward the French perfumes historically, but this RC EDP has been a real game-changer for me. Viva Firenze! (I'm kidding: the whole "nationalism" notion goes by the wayside with perfume, which is another reason I love it so much--this one was actually created by Louise Turner, who also created Lost Cherry, a friend's signature scent; this is clearly a more affordable option, although it smells nothing like Lost Cherry I'm sure.)

This is my summer signature. It makes me laugh because everyone says it's a fall/winter, but on me, it is some straight magic on my skin and smells like a pineapple mango daiquiri almost piña colada scent. Not the lipgloss, the real, genuine, bar on a tropical beach kind. Make no mistake, this is ABSOLUTELY the "adults only" all inclusive version. Mine is around 10 years old and still a super beast. It also smells EXACTLY the same as the day I got it. I do practice good collector care, but this one I haven't molly coddled the same as my OFs/discontinues. It is probably the best value for money scent in my collection but unlike other bargains, this stands confidently with my niche muscs and OF Muglers. I get none of the cheap synthetic notes common in that price range. The comparison to Poison is valid, but I see more of Alien in him. (Smells best on women, but is a "Stella got her groove back" man) It's another example of the witchcraft possible with just a few key ingredients in the hands of a master craftsman. That's why this is a hard NO on the blind buy unless you love the complex beasts in my wardrobe. Your chemistry has to be compatible or this is hell instead of heaven. I encourage anyone into complex sweet non-gourmands or niche beasts this is worth the detour!

This fragrance is criminally underrated, it delivers elegance, warmth, and personality—all at a price point that feels almost too good to be true. I was shocked how much I loved this, even though I'm not a flowing floral print resort dress person (definitely evocative of that vibe). The star here is the African orange flower, and it’s done beautifully. It brings a soft, radiant sweetness that feels both exotic and refined, adding just enough distinction to set this apart from the sea of generic floral gourmands. The blend is smooth and balanced—never too sharp, never too loud. There's a golden, sunlit quality to it that feels quietly luxurious. It wears like something three or four times the price, easily holding its own next to far more expensive designer and niche options. It outshines many of the newer, hyped releases like Burberry Goddess Intense. If you're looking for a hidden gem that feels special without breaking the bank, this is it.

i used to own jpg classique essence and it broke my heart to see it discontinued, so when i saw people talk about this as a dupe i took a risk and blind bought it online. i can't say it's an exact match with 100% certainty, as i haven't smelled classique since 2017 ish, but it does remind me of it sooo much. the orange in the opening is very strong, it hit me in the face and i almost got a bit sad thinking this isn't anything like jpg, but after a few minutes it settles into a warm powdery vanilla and it made me want to smell my wrist over and over again. mixed with the white florals it makes for a beautiful scent. the pink pepper isn't as prominent and the orange note almost disappears, unlike the original as i remember it. all in all it's a lovely perfume and i can't wait to see how it changes after i let it macerate. so far i like it a lot and i'm happy i got it, i consider it a safe blind buy as it's also affordable.

If you’re looking for an affordable fragrance, Roberto Cavalli scents are one of the best ways to go in my opinion!! I have a handful and I’ve been impressed with most of them! This one is fantastic! It’s such an easy reach for the fall and winter season that I purchased two bottles! I have a massive collection and stopped buying back ups a while back. However, this one is one I know I’m going to want around for as long as they make it. It was once an easy find at tjmaxx and Burlington, but now you have to order it online. It is a stunning ambery vanilla with a warm base. Simple and perfect. A bit linear, but I don’t mind that. It’s bordering on unisex, which I love! It’s such a sophisticated scent for the price point! There’s a sweetness in there, but it never gets too sweet! There is a sexiness to it, so I would say it’s slightly mature for some people, but not dated! An absolute stunner!

I tested it a number of times over the years, I've had a dupe, I was even lucky enough to have once had a sample of Essenza (which was the better variant of the original) - until I eventually got a bottle a few days ago - it's just awesome on a sunny and freezing day like today! It is gorgeously warm from the start, mild and round - the resinous note is perfectly blended with vanilla and it stays around for hours. I was able to feel it on myself even though I did not use too much - just regular few sprays. Actually I'm still able to feel it on my wrist after 12 hours - which is quite a result! I recommend trying before buying - but the scent is much more than I'd ever expected - both as regards quality and longevity.

WHY??? Why can't anyone make a fragrance that actually LASTS, anymore?? I have a ton of perfumes. Of those, I have exactly TWO that actually last on the skin. Milk+ (Bold) by Commodity and Delina but Delina only projects for a short period of time. Delina Exclusif projects a little longer but I prefer the original. Back in the day (late 80's early 90's) you couldn't find a fragrance that didn't last! I got Poison on my 17th birthday and that bad boy was eternal on skin and clothes. It was all I could smell when I wore it. I smelled the newer version and put it on and within an hour it was like it never existed!! I love Roberto Cavalli but it's nonexistent after 30 minutes!! What's the point???!!

First impressions: Super sweet white floral vanilla with a honeyed benzoin dry down. This is love at first sniff! Perfumes have to be strong for me to be into them lately and this did not disappoint. Found at Marshall’s for $20. The bottle and packaging aren’t my vibe personally, but they remind me of one of my fave fictional characters, the iconic Adriana LaCerva from The Sopranos. She would have totally rocked this fragrance like she rocked the Cavalli tiger print dress in the series! This is the perfume for an Italian-American gangster princess (meant in the best way!) and I am truly living for the vibe. It is gold and glam. This perfume is like Chopard Casmir and YSL Libre’s love child.

Bought this when I saw the notes and it was on sale, for 28 pound. First spray, I just get sweet, not much else. As the fragrance starts to settle the other notes come forward, white floral, and beautiful soft and sweet vanilla. Has a boozyness to it which I love. Not to be confused with a straight up alcohol smell if you get me. I saw someone mention it gives off elie saab vibes, and I do get it once it's dried down. It's not as strong though and a lot more vanilla. I love it. Soft, feminine vanilla scent, which is what I've been enjoying lately. Absolute bargain, lasts long and good silliage. I'm an oversprayer, and I don't think this would offend anyone.

Ooh La La. This is classic femininity at its best. Roberto Cavalli EDP strikes an amazing balance between being mature but sweet and fun, sophisticated but with a little spicy sexiness, friendly but a tad mysterious. It gets you noticed but not overwhelmed by attention, it’s rich and with a strong character, but still warm and welcoming, has some aspects of old school, but still modern. The orange blossom is glorious somewhere between fresh and warm. The magnificent base flows with mysterious Tonka and resinous benzoin, as well as very sweet vanilla. It has average performance and suits more of the autumn months. Libre intense’ youngest aunt 😂

This scent is so feminine without being 'basic'. It's flowery but not in a diaphane, summery way. It's warm and a bit spicy but not heavy at all. It has a slightly mature not which makes it suitable for autumn and winter, but I think it's suitable for all age groups (expect maybe teenagers). I get a very flowery smell, sweet and comforting. It settles beautifully on the skin, becoming super cozy and warm towards the end. It compliments my skin so nicely and blends in. All my girl friends picked it as their favourite from my collection, and it's among my boyfriend's favourite scents too, so I'd say you can't rwally go wrong with it.

Every time I wear it, I can’t stop smelling myself. It’s flawless. The creamy harmony between the white florals and amber is beautiful, while the subtle touch of orange in the background gives the fragrance a brighter, more vibrant character. Simply perfect. My coworkers even commented that the room smelled wonderful whenever I moved around. This is what many of today’s orange blossom-centered fragrances aspire to be, but never quite manage to become. I should add that the version I own is an older bottle that has had plenty of time to mature, which may be contributing to how exceptionally smooth it smells.

This is a perfume that I often forget about, but when I re-discover it I absolutely adore it. Its always available at a reasonable price and I'm now wondering again, why I don't have another bottle of it. Such a wonderful fragrance, feminine, fresh, and a bit of creaminess coming from the vanilla and tonka notes, its worth overspraying to make it last all day, the projection is pretty good I often got compliments when I wore it. Very enjoyable fragrance! Edit: I got a new bottle yesterday, and its just as amazing as i remember! Longevity seems a little bit lacking but its ok. So glad i picked this up again.

This is a really great fragrance and the price is right too! I originally got this fragrance as a gift for my mom and when I smelt it I fell in love! It’s right up my alley and the notes in this are what I prefer in fragrances. It smells kind of vintage which I actually like. Like something that Cindy Crawford would be wearing down the runway in the 90’s. But it still smells modern, gorgeous and well balanced. This isn’t a overly sweet vanilla but a mature, classy, sexy, boss B! Scent! It smells kind of niche to me almost like Parfums De Marly Safanad which I also love. I definitely recommend it!

What I'm getting doesn't match the notes listed so I'll describe what this smells like to me. A thick tuberose base overlayed with a light airy orange blossom. A little spiciness in the background but it doesn't smell peppery, it's more like a bright cardamon. A little lactonic like a vanilla chai latte absent the tea. Like you're drinking a tea-free chai latte in a blossoming orange grove during springtime while wearing a tuberose perfume. That's it. Both dense and airy. Retro in the best way. It smells like the 1990's. Update: After sitting for a while this smells much more spicy.

so warm and sweet!! (and i mean it in the most delectable way, but not in a sickly sweet gourmand way) it's easily become my signature scent for winter. i looooove the ambery vanilla scent. it has a perfect balance between florals, sweetness and spiciness. and girl does it last! it's not too mature yet it's not a scent everyone can pull off. some might find it too cloying because it is pretty strong. it has a vintage vibe withouth being old fashioned. it's seductive and elegant at the same time ✨ for the lasting power and reasonable price tag, this is everything i want in a perfume😍

This was love at first sniff, before even spraying it just smelling the cap. It literally blew me away right of the bat. Its rich, elegant and comforting. It is a kind of mature smell, which isn't really my kind of fragrance but this one is an exception. I just can't get enough of this scent, I find myself sniffing my wrists and my clothes all the time wearing this. On me, it projects well and the staying power is really, really good. Especially on clothes but skin as well. Besides from my all time love/signature scent, this is my favourite perfume hands down. I love this so much!

I just bought a 4 year old bottle at Roberto Cavalli store. The original rounded bottle like in the picture on this page. I reached for this gorgeous bottle not knowing anything about the scent. One sniff and I started shaking. OMG! To me, it's a beautiful floral with a hint of something sour and peppery. Warm, cozy, inviting, intoxicating perfume for under $100. This is not a perfume for others to detect and complement you on. This perfume is for you to enjoy. Like a gorgeous blanket that makes me smile. I can't stop smelling myself. 🥰

After years testing this I finally went for a 30ml to use this Summer, we are going to Sicily so I wanted something sexy and fun but still sophisticated. RC fits that bill nicely, it opens with a blast of uplifting pink pepper, and then morphs into this chic orange, tonka concotion that is sweet but floral in a good measure. This is not a casual scent but its still versatile and can be used in all seasons depending on how much you apply. It can easily become a go-to or signature due to it's no brainer sexy put together nature.

I love this perfume! It's been my signature scent for years. Smells luxurious, seductive and oriental. It can't go unnoticed, so I recommend it to a stronger personality. I first smelled it on my mom but I didn't like it that much, it dries down differently on each skin so you either love it or hate it. On me it dries down quickly and becomes creamy, vanilla smelling which I like and not that powerful, only people close to you can smell it after 30mins or so.

I think my review was deleted bc i said a bad word...lol So I said this makes me think of cookies and cigarettes in bed... I can’t say the rest again With that said. While I don’t smoke, it paints a picture of how carnal this is. How seductive. In the dry down it’s very similar to hypnotic poison but with a much more adult opening! I know right? Sounds crazy, what is more adult than hypnotic poison? Well... this... makes HP look like a teenager by comparison.

Roberto Cavali is a beautiful, unsweetened spicy vanilla. I feel it's soft and sophisticated with a touch of mystery. Feels like walking in a sun dappled birch tree forest, feet crunching on the dried leaves. It has a gorgeous african orange flower and peppery opening which nuances in an earthy, cozy, vanilla scent in drydown. It reminds me of a much softer version Ciara by Coty. Longevity is moderate. I absolutely love this fragrance!

This perfume came out in 2012 but I could swear I smelled something similar when I was a kid back in the mid 2000s. Once the fragrance hit my nose I was taken back to my childhood. It's weird but I love it. It was a blind buy and I have no regrets. It's a bit mature but I always forget that I'm a grown woman 😭😭😭. This is the flashiest perfume I own. It’s powerful but pretty. The femme fatale frag, the bad girl’s frag. Sexy as hell and long lasting. Floral and vanilla with that orange blossom scent. Reminiscent of Armani Code for women which I also have and love but doesn’t last on me. This is a better more affordable choice for me cos it lasts overnight. Has a sweet dry down. A memorable one for sure. This will be a classic one day.

I had it, and was kinda addicted to it. Summery, sexy, sweet, but not the teenage way. Great dry down; thick, warm, vanilla. One could maybe find some synthetic notes in it, but sometimes that is the thing that makes a scent interesting to me. (Maybe my taste is a bit peculiar in that way). To me it had something very balmy - bubblegummy - lotion like undertone, which I found somehow unique and addictive!

This is a beautiful warm, cosy, creamy, sexy vanilla. It smells expensive and I love wearing this during the colder months. I had gotten a bottle of JPG Classique Essence de Parfum recently, not realizing how similar they smell and it does but personally I find this one way way better and less "orange soda" smelling which is all I get from Classique Essence. Absolutely adore this one so happy with it !

Like not love it. It smells at least with my nose somewhat like shoe polish. Seriously i'm not joking it really reminds me of it. At the same times it smells very unique i have never owned a perfume that remind me of shoe polish😁. It's not a terrible smell but with the lot of amber it quickly disappears on my skin. My skin eats amber like a maniac. So for me skin scent with short longtivity.

It must have been reformulated, otherwise I can't explain people can't smell the beauty luxurious sultry vanilla and femininity in this. I have a very old bottle, 2015, and it's still gorgeous. It's uplifting, golden vanilla with amber, while the floral part is very much in the background and you can't tell what flower it is. I'm tempting to smell the new bottles to confirm re-formulation.

this is a beast mode frag on me. the love affair im having with her is straight up Disrespectful. projects beautifully, turns heads, versatile as hell. my secret weapon for date nights and black tie events, but i've also taken her for a spin at a vegas casino AND worn her to church. sacrilegious RIP roberto & thank you for making insane perfumes for the bad bitches of the world <3

I have been wearing this perfume for years now as my skin scent during fall and winter. I put this on for myself because I love the scent of amber mixed with creamy (non-sweet) vanilla. For me, I feel like my skin is wrapped in a warm and cozy scent bubble and when my skin heats up the creamy vanilla just blooms. This is fragrance for me is a classic and not for the trendy crowd.

Very similar to Jil Sander's Sun, one of my favorites. Bright orange flower coupled with amber, vanilla, tonka, & benzoin. Altogether gives a liquified lightly liquored peach effect that lasts for ages. I prefer in warmer months, it just works better in the heat than without, but it can work all year round. Very affordable and definitely worth adding to a collection.

my roommate had this fragrance when I was a college student. I used to sneak into her room and smell this, I think it was so good. but now,I can't smell it anymore. literally, when i try to smell it i barely get any notes. i think this happened after I got the covid infection and I experienced anosmia for a few weeks. I never fully recovered after that.

I normally don't like anything too strong or overpowering, but this is just the perfect blend for me! It's sweet and a bit spicy, definitely has that sexy and elegant vibe. I only have to spray it a couple times for it to last all day on my skin. It's definitely a more dark, sweet vibe that is perfect for a night out or just to feel sophisticated!!

A beautiful, elevated vanilla, woody, resinous, orange floral perfume. I enjoy it anytime of the year especially when it's chilly out. A classic women's scent. So glad to have her. Thank you, Louise Turner for creating her so masterfully! 💛 I do have an "original" formulation & I can't compare it to any newer formulation if there is one.

HOLY HEAVENS! I miss this SEXY AF, BADASS perfume I used to wear when I was 19, I’m 33 now. This is one of the most sexy orange flower perfume you’ll come across! An I’m speaking as a middle eastern than has experience with alot of expensive perfumes, from western to fine middle eastern. This is absolutely STUNNING, I can’t describe.

I love this perfume for a fall/winter evening. It’s sweet vanilla but with a deep amber. To me it’s very balsamic and smells sexy. Pretty great lasting on me & it’s also one that I can smell on myself for hours (so many perfumes go nose blind on myself). I found it at Marshall’s / TJ Maxx for $20 and I’m totally impressed!

This is straight up delicious. Perfectly straddles the amber/floral boundary. Hits super hard with the orange blossom, which is super uplifting and citrusy, but when you take a second sniff you get that warm, sexy/cozy vanilla base. Seriously considering this as a signature scent contender.

Warm, spicy and comforting. This scent does not present as overly sweet on me, more of a floral vanilla. Very balsamic (I'm getting a lot of the benzoin - but not in a bad way!). I love this for winter and it smells much, much, more expensive than what it is. Louise Turner strikes again!

TLDR; Amazing give me ten of them right now Was gifted this and wowowowoowowowoowowoww. It was the first time i'd ever smelled anything like it- a deep, elegant amber vanilla and white florals i am absolutely in love . actually going to buy myself a bottle as we speak.

I had forgotten Id bought this and decided to give it a whirl for my evening - LOVE it! Its sensual and warm, caramel & vanilla with a deep floral vibe. Beast mode - yes. Overpowering? - no. Im going to have to find another bottle as I cant be without this.

I was expecting a really sweet sticky amber vanilla, but surprisingly the orange flower in this makes it quite fresh. It's a really nice balance of warm sweet and floral fresh. Affordable but doesn't smell cheap. I really like this one.

I can detect (at least on me) the vanilla standing out. It's a sharp sweet juice, kind of creamy, reminds me of summer, bronzers and beach, in a good way. Very feminine and lasts pretty good. I'm not enchanted, but very pleased!

Gorgeous blend of orange blossom, amber and vanilla. Beautiful bottle, it's sweet and feminine. Glad I got it after a blind buy, it's now part of the Top 5 in my collection. Love it!
