Roberto Cavalli Uomo Golden Anniversary

Got this in about two weeks ago. This line is one of the most underrated, undervalued lines in the entire designer fragrancegame without a doubt. The quality of the juice with the presentation that comes with it should easily, easily make it high end designer in terms of price point. Honestly I think Cavalli just did a lazy job in marketing for this line, otherwise it really could've blown up. So regarding the scent, well guys I'm telling you when I first smelled this upon first sniff in the air, I was blown away. I'm talking about my voice hitting high notes of how shocked I was and legit getting goosebumps. This is entry level niche juice for sure, to me the OG already was. But this..this takes it to a whole another level. Longevity on paper was 4 days. After it hits the base, it just lasts, lasts and lasts. This is a Middle Eastern exclusive and they know that for the people there if it doesn't perform, it won't sell. I even go the the bottle from time to time just to smell it from the atomizer cause it's just so addictive. To sum it up, it's a mysterious, ultra sexy, seductive fragrance with berry/floral nuances done in a masculine way with a touch of that Middle Eastern vibe to give it that extra exclusivity. You can clearly smell Raynaud's signature in the composition done gorgeously. Get this while you can, you will blow people away with it. Rating: 8.2/10

High quality stuff here. Leathery Tonka with Lavender, just as the notes suggest. Sweet and smooth. The smoothness and richness of this blend is really something special. This evokes timeless luxury Christmas store memories. The richness lends this to high class, formal occasion designation. A young guy in a casual t-shirt is not going to match with this. This screams date nights and special occasions in cooler months. The opening is absolutely powerful and beautiful. The downside to this is its projection longevity. It starts off with a moderate punch, but it rapidly descends to sitting closer to the skin within 90 minutes; 6 inches from my hand is the maximum detectable distance at that point. It's not awful, but it's intimate. I can overspray onto my sweater though to boost it to satisfactory levels. (I'm a conservative sprayer, so 6+ is double my usual). You'll want to reapply this one. Bittersweet that this rare. It's worth $100, but $200+ is jumping the shark on this one. Don't overspend on this once prices skyrocket. If it performed better, I'd rethink that. P.S. This smells nothing like Mont Blanc Individuel–you can safely ignore the reviewer a few rows below mine.

Just got it, but I wanted to write this.. First sprays: This has the DNA of the original. I love the original very much, that's why I got this. Even thought it maintains the original idea throughout, this has a mouthwatering cake-like leather note to my nose... Will give it some more wearings and will get back... EDIT: So, been wearing this a bit... This is mostly linear, with some subtle changes into the dry-down... After spraying it, I get a boozy-nuttiness along with that signature tonka-violet of the Uomo line... As it dries-down, a balsamic leather adds depth to it. It is very elegant, even though it has a good amount of sweetness. Longevity gets you easily through the day, but it doesn't push very much past the first 1-2 hours.. I would wear it in cooler weather at night to events, dates, parties or formal... I think even ladies can pull this off if you are into boozy-leathery scents. Paid 37$ for this and for the quality of this blend - it is worth it. Hope this helps! Cheers!

Got my bottle from FB while they had them. Presentation is a shiny gold box (meh) and then the bottle inside is a block of gold. Fingerprint magnet but the bottle feels great in the hands and the atomizer and cap are solid. The fragrance itself is actually kind of surprising. The Cavalli Oumo base is here but jacked up in density and richness like La Notte and then you smell the surprise. In the same way PDM stuck that Exclusif base under Layton and Pegasus there's a base in this that immediately gives a Sauvage Elixir note arrangement. It works REALLY well. The familiar Cavalli but with this amazing deep spice base coming up thru. Despite the amazing fragrance notes the longevity leaves something to be desired. A little over 7 hours from spray to minimal skin scent. The sillage is just beautiful though and will definitely get the attention of those around you. A solid 8.5/10 (almost a 9) and a strong recommend if you can get it.

Roberto Cavalli Uomo Golden Anniversary is by far the most nuanced and dense flanker to the original. A dark violet sweet leathery opening hits you in the face and overwhelms your senses. For me this flanker performs much better than all the others, especially in longevity, maybe due to it's Eau De Parfum concentration. The violet is prominent in this scent and it remains throughout the life of the fragrance. It's dark and mysterious but unlike many other violet heavy fragrances that are a challenge to wear this one is balanced with sweeter accords and a soft suede leather. I also pick up on a slight boozy accord, probably the dark voliet interacting with the Tonka.

Uomo Golden Anniversary Edition. It opens with the signature Uomo DNA. I get a bright, sweet, yet dark opening. The fragrance reminds me of other fragrances; Uomo Silver Essence, Issey Miyake Ambre Noir, Bulgari Men in Black, Salvatore Ferragamo Uomo Signiture. The opening is interesting; sweet violet, dark leather,Tonka/coffee goodness. The fragrance settles down into a rich leather, slightly sweet berry fragrance with a touch of skank. I enjoy the fragrance, it would work well in an intimate setting, projection is moderate, longevity is solid. The fragrance is distinctive, enjoyable and interesting. A very solid designer fragrance.

Amazing release by Cavalli. This sits between the original Uomo and La Notte. It will be extremely difficult to find it as this is a special edition and was released for the Arab market so there will be even fewer units being sold in Europe. I was lucky to get the first and only unit that my regular online shop received. Paid around 40eur. This is an absolute blind buy if you are familiar with the Uomo line. If you are lucky enough to find one for sale do not hesitate or you'll regret it later once the hype will start online with all the influencers as I'm sure it will.

add me to the skeptic list. Typically the hyped fragrances are garbage. Admittedly, i previously owned the cavali in the blue bottle and felt it was slightly above average, so i was okay jumping in to see what this is all about. So - what is it all about? Well, it's all about sweet leather - and damn, it's good. while i'm not necessarily smelling anything new - nor would i consider this to be a breakthrough in modern men's perfumery - it simply executes and deploys the ingredients to perfection. it's quite literally one of the best.

This smells absolutely nothing like Mont Blanc individuel at all (as someone suggested). This is a well blended, sweet leather fragrance with a slight animalic hit at the very back of the fragrance. Is this worth 100 bucks in the states? That's totally up to the individual buying it. Is this a leather fragrance that would be seen as extremely unique to the vast majority smelling it? Without a doubt!

Nice fragrance but totally not worth the hyped up price it’s going for these days. Reminds me of 1 million intense which is now discontinued. Brings me back those old good memories with a touch of original uomo black. No way near the quality of stronger with you leather. This bad boy plays it’s own game.

Excellent perfume at a good price. The opening is nothing special, but the drydown is lovely. Good durability and strength. Universal fragrance. Overall rating 8.5/10.

Much better than OG and its long lasting. Its warm and spicy, with a prominent leather note that puts violet note in background unlike OG.

1 million-esque but better. Too sweet for my liking. It surely doesn’t worth splurging on it crazy amounts being limited edition.

The best way to describe this is a sweeter sauvage elixir... Hard to find but glad I've got it in my collection

Exceptional fragrance and complement magnet 10/10

Since it cannot be found and I have a full bottle, I want to share my opinion. I am a fan of the series and have had all but La Notte. This one is the closest to the original and the violet in both smells similar. It is pretty nice and detectable and I like it. While it is more dominant in the opening of the OG, here it comes with the spicy and warm notes. The biggest difference is that the leathery note is more dominant here and a spicey note (maybe the balsam, or something else) is added to it. The end result is a richer, fuller, a little sweeter smell based on the original. Also, no relation to Dior Sauvage Elixir, and I have that too. Imagine 2/3 of the original mixed with 1/3 of spicebomb without the cinnamon. It is not a beast mode, rather a date night scent. It performs like Prada black. I would wear it to the office, and in the Autumn days. It is not performing well for cold winter days. The performance is similar or a touch better than the original. I think for a price of 50 Eur/$ it is a good purchase, for more I would not pay for it.

I got this as a blind-buy for 36 usd dollars 100ml, yes you read that right. So for the price, hell yeah it's worth it, the quality of this is really good, I have some other fragrances that are at this level but are more expesive. Longevity si good, the projection is moderate and in the air it reminds me a lot of Givenchy Gentlemen EDP, it must be the balsams in the dry down that are similar to this one. Don't belive the hype, it is not worth 100 dollars or prices like that, in my situation it was indeed a must buy. I would wear this in the colder months but day time also, everyone is over spraying their strong fragances anyway, so you won't actually offend anyone. Later edit : After wearing this for the last 24 hours I really appreciate how this fragrance is blended, you can actually smell nuances of it at the same time which really surprised me. I would pay double the amount I actually payed for this.

Managed to find this one (like a hens tooth in the U.K.) and my first impressions are ... sweet leathery goodness with a puff of talc in the mix ... but, with a slightly “funk” edge.. not in a bad way though.. but after about 15 mins that funk soon funks off and the dry down smooths the scent off to a fine sweet masculinity . Projection is pretty close to skin but if you have that special someone coming in for some sugar from ya .. then you’ll give them added nectar and then some ! All in all a fine find if you can avoid fleebay sellers ££££... I only have the silver essence to compare this with and I would stick this in about an 8.5/10 overall with the silver a close 8/10 behind. Good blind buy with guys like Ash from “Gents Scents” giving you good quality pre purchase. Seasons wishes to all !

Uomo Golden Anniversary starts off with a nice "lit candle" opening. A bit smokey, heavy, sweet, spicy, and florally fragrant. The dry down reveals a violet note mixed with clean leather, giving me sweeter Fahrenheit in the late drydown vibes without any soapiness or petrol. Not shy about announcing itself, it gets off to a strong start, filling a room at first. It quickly settles though and has decent projection for 2-3 hours. After that, the scent bubble gets closer so that someone will need to be right next to you to smell it. I used about 4 sprays so spray accordingly.

This juice is something else. Mass appealing and hard to stop sniffing it .Leather in this is presented in an appealing and sexy way.Is kinda a soft fresh/warm spicy at the same time.Roberto Cavalli Uomo line is fantastic..once again roberto cavalli has released a nice fragrance..:) this one is made for the middle east market .can be hard to find in europe and u.s Will I buy this again? Yes What's the strength of this? Eau de Parfum Intense

Opening is ok, with a slight hint of nuttiness, don't know why. After a while, I get that whiff whaff of that softness sweetness violet that's so majestic to my nose. But it doesn't last all that long on my skin & cloth. Scent - 8/10 (Opening: 7/10) SPL: 5/10

Smells good, It just doesn’t last

Nothing groundbreaking here... clearly synthetic. Not worth what it is currently going for at FragranceBuy.ca ($97 USD). Wait for the price to come back down to earth. Don’t get me wrong, this is a solid fragrance, but don’t be fooled by the shiny gold bottle and temper yourself from the hype that has already started. This is not a fragrance of the year candidate (as slightly suggested by Cuba Know) And yes I know... taste in fragrances is subjective.

This predominantly sweet leather floral fragrance. So sweet, without knowing what this is, I would have guessed this would be some new "1 million leather" flanker. Or something from ferragamo uomo/wanted by night line. The leather is more suede-type rather than harsh "ombre leather" type, and is strongest in the opening. Initially, there is only a hint of old Cavalli Uomo dna, about as it dries down, more violet/levander florals start to appear, and then it starts getting closer to Cavalli line. Performance is only average, not as strong as "Deep desire" flanker, but definitely good enough for the price. In my opinion quite unisex, although because of strong leather as top note, not as unisex as original Cavalli uomo

Opens with buttered cinnamon raisin bread. Not overly sweet and is only in the very openning. It is a very nostalgic openning. The lavender shows up and leads the way for the leather(?), I get more wood than leather, and sweet facets. The balsam may be what I’m interpreting as woody. I wish SWY leather was like this. This has replaced what I bought SWY Leather for. I’m keeping both, but Id reach for this first if between the two. Very good scent. Respect ✊🏿

Leather, violet, saffron, oud. This one is very strong and very manly. Bold and loud. It is half way between Boss Bottled Oud Saffron and Classic Grey Karl Lagerfeld. There is a bit of this mix of beer and urinal smell in the drydown. Made for macho men. Dry down is honey and leans toward Hugo Boss Number One.

The hypetrain is real (for once) about this one. Sweet boozy dark violet opening with at smooth suede/leather drydown. Gorgeous! Almost niche quality worthy of almost niche price...anything below and you haven't overpaid. Above average longevity and slightly above sillage. Class in a bottle!

Hyped to the hilt, not available anywhere. Another fragcom unicorn. If you make a high quality juice, just release it properly without any of this limited release nonsense. The next standard Cavalli men's release will likely get nowhere near the critical acclaim that this seems to be getting

Nothing special about this one. I can’t believe the hype for what ends up being a weak Mont Blanc Individuel (which you can get for about 20 bucks). I regret having bought into the hype of a couple of reviewers, once again.
