Roberto Cavalli Uomo La Notte

I love Roberto Cavalli Uomo line. So blind bought this one... Then found out that this is a limited edition run. So don't wait too long to buy it, or you might miss out. And have to get it second hand at a ridiculous price from eBay or worse. It smells very different from the original Uomo. The leather and pepper notes are more than noticeable in this...It's like...Dove's men arm deodorant or Sauvage mixed with Uomo and you'll have this thing. It's not bad, nor does it wow me like the two before this one. You can hardly pick up the top notes(Bergamot & lavender)...All I get is the leather, sage and pepper notes, with a hint of sweetness. It's a dark fragrance that you should only wear at night during hot days, all day during cold/rainy weather. I used six sprays...both wrist, back & front of my neck, chest, and front of my shirt. Will I buy this again? No. What's the strength of this? EDT. Does this fragrance enter BEAST MODE, good, just okay or weak sauce at best? Just okay(It's night time scent). Can you use it as a unisex scent? No. Am I willing to trade this fragrance? No(It's a limited run frag. I'll keep mine because this will be discontinued). Should You Skip It, Sample It First or Blind Buy It? Sample it first. Ask someone who already has it for a 2-5ML decant. Or try it out at a Roberto Cavalli Boutique or Sephora. Very similar to these fragrances; Roberto Cavalli Uomo or Roberto Cavalli Uomo Silver Essence mixed Christian Dior Sauvage. Is it the old, new formulation? New. As everyone has already said, this is very similar to Prive, particularly in the dry down. La Notte leans more into cardamom and leather with a heavy dose of tonka, whereas Prive has a slightly fruitier, boozy profile particularly within the first hour of application. In terms of which one I prefer, it's hard to say and it probably changes depending on my mood. Sometimes I prefer the slight booziness of Prive, sometimes I prefer the lovely leather and tonka combo in La Notte. I would say that you don't need to own both as they would be used for the same situations and they're very similar. If I had to pick one, I'd probably opt for La Notte just because Prive does lean a bit more into the youthful camp and boozy fragrances aren't for everyone. Oh, and I just have to say this: The 3rd review from the bottom mentioned that this smells like Sauvage and RC's Uomo. This has absolutely no resemblance to Sauvage. At all. This might just be the most wildly inaccurate comparison I've ever seen on Fragrantica. If that comparison puts you off, don't listen to it because rest assured, there's no Sauvage to be found in La Notte, thankfully. A really solid fragrance that I'll enjoy wearing in the cooler evenings. If you like Prive, this will likely be a safe bet.

To me (off skin) this opens, surprisingly, with a Issey Miyake "Blue Astral" Lime/Black Pepper vibe with the Uomo DNA in the back. Lime is not listed so this is likely the Bergamot playing tricks mixing with the Leather to create the accord. Dry down is a smooth, slightly powdery Cardamom with with the Sage, Patchouli and Lavender underneath. At times I get a Plum or Dates kind of vibe, almost syrupy in the far dry down. You can tell the Uomo DNA is here throughout however to me La Notte distances itself in the line. Like the others the compliment factor is here as well as sex appeal especially for someone who likes ones like The One Royal Night, The One Luminous Night, Blue Astral and others in that group. This lacks the Voilet that the original and Silver have and IMHO I think it would have been a good addition, but I'm sure the perfumor tested it in one of the prototypes and found this to be the best composition, at least to them. Off paper this comes across much different to me, still great, but different. Much more Cardamom throughout with a clearer Bergamot. Much more of a sweet Plum or Date vibe as well. All in all a great scent, best performance in the line to me. I'd put this 2nd behind Uomo Silver then Deep Desire then Uomo original.

The last time I had a bottle of CH Men Prive was four years ago. It was a great juice but because I have explored other fragrances along the way, I forgot about it and I thought I misplaced it with half juice left. After curiously reading the reviews, I became interested of blind buying this one so I can have a replacement for my CH Men Prive. Fortunately, it was a successful blind buy. I guess most of the reactions from fellow reviewers before me are no different with my initial impression and I am echoing some of those. This is a little sweeter (which I like) with less booziness and a much better performer than CH Men Prive. Obviously, I like this one better than CHMP. It's my second Roberto Cavalli in my collection and to me, this is better than the original RC Uomo. I also read somewhere that this has been discontinued so I guess I am quite lucky to get a brand new bottle for my collection. My nose gives this gorgeous juice a 9/10 “Let's spread the scents of peace and kindness. The two most beautiful fragrance in the world that will cost you nothing and will get you a totally different kind of compliments” 🙏

This is an absolute masterpiece in my opinion. I am so happy that I was able to get a hold of a bottle recently for a great price. The way this scent changes and evolves is absolutely stunning. This is one of those uber rare bottles that I almost feel guilty for wearing. The only complaint of mine is that the longevity is not the best for this particular style of fragrance, but it's still excellent for an EDT. I only have four other EDT's in my collection that can outperform this and they are all huge performers (Kenzo Homme Intense, 24 Gold, 24 Gold Oud, Tauer Desert Air Marocain). I do wish this was an EDP and had better longevity, but I still get around 7 hours from it. This has a bit of the classic Uomo DNA in the opening, but is overshadowed by a beautiful medley of cardamom, sage, and leather. Just stunning juice.

Roberto Cavalli Uomo La Notte is a deep, semi-sweet fragrance. It is not overly sweet - I dont like too sweet fragrances and do love this one. By its scent profile La Notte is best suited for night time or special occations and colder seasons. Projection is above average, nice scent bubble for 2 hours and longevity is also good, I am getting easy 7+ hours with this one. Spray count for this one 4-5. Blind buy? Only if you find it very cheap. This seems to divide opinions, so I'd recommend to sample it first.

I recommended this to a friend. He got it's 100ml bottle when it was still 30€ and for sale. Today I visited him in his house and I was constantly smelling a really masculine, lightly sweet, leather, tobacco fragrance. I asked him if this is a totally new fragrance....He said: no!!! it's just La notte, I sprayed this morning (7 hours ago!!!!!). He's nose had gone noseblind and he said that he didn't smell anything anymore! OMG🔥🔥🔥😀 This fragrance is smelling great on another person!

I was looking for an alternative of Jean Paul Gaultier Le Male Essence de Parfum (discontinued) and I discovered this wildly masculin La Notte. Wow, seductive & unleashes your inner beast. First 10 minutes smell different - after that - WOW 100% for bad body. Sweet & compared to CH Men Prive. This smell is really like nothing else in my small collection. SMELLS DIFFERENT on paper & on skin. On skin: AWESOME heavenly On paper: normal leather

Man!!! This fragrance thing is something. Bought it because of nice reviews. Tried it and confused as to why are they raving about this cloying juice. Then read that leather is the main note, then suddenly my brain got it and start to enjoy this scent. Then today I am getting whiff of something so wonderful and realized it was this juice on my arm. Lesson learned, need to give fragrance some time.

"Uomo La Notte"... this fragrance smells exactly as sexy and warm as it sounds. As for the smell, this perfectly could have been a flanker of the Carolina Herrera CH Men line. La Notte smells really close to CH Men Privé, but it's less boozy. Performance is (much) better. Looking for a perfect date fragrance for fall and winter time? One that's seductive and unique? Get this beauty!

It has slight undertone of its big brother black RC Uomo but mainly it is indeed CH Men Prive style of fragrance. It is denser, richer version of CH Men Prive without buzzy nuances. Amazing date night fragrance, pumped up cardamom. I wish it could last a little longer, for me its only average (5-6h). Scent 9.75, Performance: 6.5 Overall 8.75/10

Great sweet leather fragrance. Like CH Men Privé but better in my opinion. I bought up quite a few bottles before it got discontinued. I have two full 100ml bottles for sale. One is up on eBay at the moment, but message me on here if you’re interested! (UK only)

This is such a good fragrance! Smells a bit like CH men prive (not a clone) but thicker and performs much better. The presentation is quite nice as well. The best cheapie in my collection for sure. Get it while you can!

Just initial impressions: Beautiful bergamot opening with solid leather note. Smells fresh and dark at he same time. Really liked the opening. I tried it at fragrance store so I dont have full experience.

A better performing CH PRIVÉ...that's good.

As mentioned many times before, there is a strong resemblance with CH Men Privé (minus booz). Very nice and comforting scent profile, lovely cardamom smoothness and freshness at the same time. Can imagine wearing it throughout most of the seasons with the exception of hot summer days. I like the CH Men Privé presentation and the opening more, because boozy scents just floats my boat. 10 minutes later the booze is gone unfortunatelly and here is when both fragrances become very similar and Uomo La Notte starts to be more balanced and smooth scent. To me performance seems to be comparable with slightly better results with Uomo La Notte. But the difference is not dramatic, really. Managed to find a bottle for under 30€ shipped and it made sense for me to grab it compared to 46€ which is the lowest price I could find CH for. Overall, if you can find Uomo La Notte much cheaper than CH Men Privé, go for it. Otherwise it is not worth paying for it more then for CH. Rating 8/10

So funny that no one has mentioned the very prominent violet note. It's even mentioned in the official press release. Don't trust the note pyramid here on the page which in the best Fragrantica fashion is not totally correct. Also the violet leaf is one of the big notes that connects the whole Uomo line (yes also looking at you Deep Desire). Definitely designer'ish and most of the standards notes from the realm of mass-market perfumery is present here. Quite sweet from the tonka which turns relatively gourmandy in the late drydown. Doesn't have a rough dirty leather edge, but keeps it clean and smooth. The cardamon is way in the front most the wearing, and combined with the tonka it might be what is making just a bit dull with so many perfumes already using this combo to death. I can not see anybody really hating on this. Sad that it was only a limited release.

This is a nice entry from Roberto cavali. Admittedly, this is my first experience with the line. The scent opens with a fairly intense dose of cardamom and spice - though the spice is a bit less intense. There’s also a noticeable sueded leather appeal. To put it simply, it smells close to ch men prive. While I appreciate the smell itself - and even find it to be fairly unique in the overall scheme of things, I do think it’s a bit redundant if you own ch men prive. I think this falls into the “generally pleasing” category. I can see this scent being most useful during the fall months - and it could potentially get washed out with cold weather (we’ll see). Performance is ok - 5 sprays to clothing and I get a few hours. Pleased with this - wouldn’t mind checking out the newer release as well. 7/10

Mass appealing leather. Leather is a common note but sometimes can be polarizing. With Uomo La Notte, leather is presented in an appealing way, subduing it to please the common taste. La Notte is a soft, warm spicy fragrance. Leather & cardamom are the main players in this fragrance. Everything else is a supporting note. This warm spicy smell has a soft woody background that I thought was cashmere (cashmeran) but it's not listed. Soft projection & moderate longevity. Nothing extreme, bad or good. Warm & charming. Mass appealing. Good for first impressions/meetings/dates. Winter/Night. "Like".

This juice is something else. Mass appealing and hard to stop sniffing it. It's almost too sexual for the workplace in my opinion. It is indeed similar to CH Men Prive but with more cardamom and no boozy notes. Strong opening that isn't too harsh. It has slightly better longevity and sillage compared to the current CH Men Prive formulation. Pick this swoon-worthy fragrance up while you still can.

Opening with slightly citrus for a while and leather as a main background, a good scent for indoor usage. Average sillage with good longevity.

A sweeter CH Men Prive, with much less leather and no booze. I would say it's a little more youthful and has a bit better performance.

A better version of CH Men Prive. Not a clone. But it is at the same vibe with much better performance (longevity and sillage).

This smells terrible. The most uninspiring cologne I've ever smelled. It smells like a light leather. That's all you get. A subtle leather. Waste of money.

For me, I dislike it. Got its based on youtube hype reviews. Smells Exactly on my skin like Guess Night (EDT). At first, i really hated it and it was off-putting. A bit later started to become better and warmed on my skin. It's like a soft leathery and faintly spicy scent. I can pick on the leather and cardamom clearly to my nose. Projection is within your body for first 2 hours but not a skin scent, its like followed by a ghost, you get wafts here and there. Longevity around 6 hours. I regret buying it blindly and its a BIG NO for me.

Opening here is almost 1:1 clone of CH Men Prive, which I love. As it dries down, the booziness burns off, and it's left with the typical Cavalli Uomo juicy floral DNA underneath, albeit with a bit more leather and masculinity. This scent is pretty simple. Opening is a CH Prive clone, drydown is super similar to the original Uomo. I love Prive, so I'm not gonna hate on this scent, but it's not worth the prices they have floating around right now. I prefer this slightly over Prive, because it has a couple more hours of life (4-6 vs 6-8) and is a bit more complex with the floral drydown, but would still recommend the CH over it because of the price difference. 8/10

Nearly indistinguishable from the original Uomo unless you are smelling them very closely side by side. A very light, dry and dusty leather is underneath the main Uomo DNA. I get the CH Men Prive comparison. However this fragrance isn't as "thick" and "sticky" as that one. The leather is lighter and no booze either. A good fragrance, but somewhat redundant purchase. Not sure if I like this or the original more. EDIT: I like the original much more. This one smells like they watered down the original slightly and added the leather, which is faint and not interesting.

The scent concept in perfumery is delicate since leather is a dangerous synthetic note for romantic impression and the elements are of fair quality! The result scent : you really have to tolerate synthetic leather scents coupled with sweet and aromtics and spices, the blend is missing a master crafting, you feel the leather is aimed to be soft and subtle, but the result blend gave me a headache and a puke! Blind buy mistake! Test and test guys before buying PS The only leather master piece for me is bottega veneta pour homme , period.

I will preface this by saying I get chemical headaches from many inexpensive fragrance lines. Contrary to the inflated prices, this certainly belongs to that category. I get a sweet synthetic gummy note on the opening of this fragrance, same as the entire montblanc legend line, montblanc emblem, and azzaro wanted by night. I have a very hard time smelling the rest of the notes afterwards, so this is more of a chemical warning than a review.

This one smells like a denser, fresher, masculine, better performing version of Initio’s Paragon. I wonder if Initio used this as their inspiration as La Notte was released four years prior.

It is a really good smell. Smells like Ch men/ch men prive but slightly sweeter. Longevity and projection is better too. Found a tester online for a very good price so I’m lucky.

Pale in comparison to CH Men Prive. The lack of whiskey accord is glaring, and makes it a lot less interesting. A nice sweet cardamom scent, but a little boring.
