Splendid Vanilla

It's like you took your December Vanilla / Vanilla Royale Sugared Patchouli 64 type of scent and made it waaaaaaaaaaaaay more elegant and rich. You have a strong feeling you smelled it many times before, but at the same time can't remember that whatever you smelled, was that good. A very beautiful blend and a perfect sweet spot between niche and designer. I agree it's more feminine in a traditional sense. Men could pull this off but the majority would need to layer with something more woody / smoky.

A really nice vanilla perfume. I got a tester bottle for 250 SAR (~66USD) yeah almost as cheap as dirt. At the price i got it for its very worth. Even for 3x the price its still worth it. But for retail I would think twice before buying not because it is not worth but because for that price there are better Vanilla fragrances.

Wow this is very good! it is a woody vanilla, with a nice clean patchouli and floral touches. The Cypriol is very smooth, but present from opening to finish. It reminds me a lot of Fancy nights by Jessica Simpson, but way more elegant and sensual. The Vanilla here feels very black but not gourmand. Very well done.

Beautiful vanilla perfume, I bought it in a close out sale when Roberto Cavalli stores were closing. Classy vanilla, I suggest for a sunset period in a silk dress.

Hmmm. It’s definitely a beast but from my perspective the black pepper doesn’t make this spicy in a warm spicy sexy way, it gives it a bitter masculine feel All i get is black pepper and rose no vanilla , it does smell nice and the silage, longevity is so strong it blew me For me this’s definitely way too masculine for my liking and I’m also not a fan of black pepper 😕 But there’s something that i like about this fragrance i can’t really figure it out And i can’t seem to think of an occasion to wear this perfume it’s definitely not for summer and day time and it’s not sexy so its not for being with my bf. i really can’t seem to think of an occasion. It’s nice but i wouldn’t repurchase once I’m done with it

Honestly, very pretty but reminds me a whole lot of Lalique Le Perfum which isn't boozy at all and is way weaker, but they both have the same borderline soapy vibe. I like them both but owning the two, imho, is redundant.

It's vanilla, and you can't really go wrong with that if you're a vanilla lover. However, where you CAN go wrong with vanilla is charging the exorbitant price for what is clearly not an up-to-spec blend. You can make any perfume a high-end perfume by slapping a $300+ price tag on it... the illusion of "worth" is in the price. Yeah, I get that it's "designer", but it's still going to be overpriced on that fact alone - designers have a reputation to keep. Some are worth it for sure, some absolutely are not, and well... this entire Cavalli line is so far beneath the price and my expectations (bless Cavalli's soul, I will love his fashion forever). Even Jomashop has this entire fragrance line marked down to $100, give or take, which reflects its value more realistically (still overpriced, imo). NONE of these have decent lasting power, nor stay true to their scent profile for longer than an hour. Just plain sad. Anyway, yes, Splendid Vanilla. It's a woody vanilla. It's perfectly centered unisex, but one might find it masculine if you're used to baked-goods vanillas and hyper-gourmands, so do consider that it's a bit peppery. After an hour, it gets a very strange undertone of a damp dish rag, and it's almost a little soapy. I have no idea where the soapiness is coming from, but Sumptuous Rose has this in its base as well. The vanilla packed its bags and left me with the soapy damp dish rag after an hour. How rude? Haha. There are two vanillas I've tried in the past that are similar + better than this, and cheaper. I suggest La Maison de la Vanille's Vanille Noire du Mexique and Vanille Sauvage de Madagascar.

I love vanilla in general, and especially its scent. That said, first impression: this pulls a little feminine to me. Soft, floral vanilla, a bit powdery, a tiny bit soapy. If you sniff it hard, you get some woods, mainly cedar. Sublime Tonka (not present on Fragrantica) as well, a bit feminine upon first impression. They both have some sort of feminine perfumey undertone (that's the best I could muster).

Hello Fragrantica Admin, this fragrance should be categorised as an "Oriental Vanilla" and not "Oriental Floral" please. The main "player" is Vanilla blended with other oriental notes like Nargamotha and Patchouli. Moreso, it's expected that the florals are going to be in the background while Vanilla and its oriental counterparts shine all through. My two cents tho'.
