Rosso 17

Niche December Contestant 6: First impression: a very powerful, radiant fragrance with heavy floral sweetness and herbal notes. There is a very tiny bit of mint in there, but it's more of a support note than a clear one. Full review: This scent is alright. It's reminiscent of an older woman who really got everything under control. Maybe it's just bias, since I can clearly remember my old math teacher wearing a similar composition back in the days. Not exactly for me, but I can imagine people pulling this off well. What I like about it is the performance. It projects like crazy and has good longevity, with a concentration of whopping 30%! Overall, 5/10 for me.

Extremely strong and fruity sweet fragrance. I would recommend it for cold weather, especially for night time. People who like fragrances like Erba Pura will probably like this. Its either you hate it or love it.

I have a discovery set with carded samples of the Ugolini fragrances. It is helping me "discover" that I really dislike this house's fragrances. 17 Rosso seems to be considered the best, or one of the best. This is the fifth one I have tried, and I have been disappointed with the first four. So If I say this is my favorite, that is not really saying very much. In truth, my favorite so far has been 4 Rosso which is a leather fragrance, and I don't like too many leather fragrances. Regarding Rosso 17, and as Pani Irena mentioned below, this fragrance is "a lot of everything at once". I 100% agree with that. It is fruity, floral (multiple competing, incongruent types), minty, spicy, woody, herbal, aromatic etc. etc. etc. It is a jack of all trades and a master of none. I really disllike this one. It begins annoyingly average and ends cloyingly below average. Rosso 17 is like a brass band or orchestra practicing and tuning before a performance, It is like a drunk American (I'm American lmao) tourist wandered off from the factory tour and slipped into the lab and poured 15 random things into a beaker and it accidentally got bottled. This is the antithesis of smooth and well blended. 2/10

Pafory Advent Calendar 2025 - Day 6 First Impression: A strong, sweet floral. Opens with a prominent saffron and sugary sweetness reminiscent of BR540, quickly met by a strong rose and peony heart—a combo that's not for me, as I'm not a fan of dominant rose. I don't detect much of the listed mint or ylang-ylang. The dry down reveals a pleasant, sweet, woody styrax base. Overall: Sweet, floral, and woody - not particularly herbal, fruity, or aromatic. Imagine an Italian version of Rasasi Shuhrah mixed with Frederic Malle's Portrait of a Lady. Except! It's fruiter, no cigarette-esque note, less shocking, more well-blended and complex as heck. To me, it's elegant. It dries down to Xerjoff's Regio but sweetened by red-ish fruits. It's something fruity, musky, and slightly spicy but damp. I like it, but definitely not for everyone.

The youtube channel Gentleman's gazette had three fragcom figures do blind reviews, and this one got the best score, pretty interested in it now.
