Extraordinary for Men

Roccobarocco Extraordinary Man has been a big surprise for me. It is not expensive here in Italy and thanks to Christmas sales I've just got a bottle of the newly bottled "Limited Edition" for 9.99€. That's really cheap. However the point is that this fragrance DOESN'T smell cheap. On the contrary it smells very sophisticated, just like fragrances which cost a lot more. It opens very sweet and very fresh at the same time. Strong, but no synthetic notes nor smell of alcohol: you can have a first idea of the fragrance immediately after having sprayed it, without having to let the alcohol go away, which is not so common. After 15-30 minutes the fragrance turns into something which is really similar to an elegant woman fragrance. But finally you have the basenotes which are the better part of Extraordinary: sweet vanilla but absolutely not that generic vanilla you can find in so many perfumes nowadays since something fresh remains and it is an extremely unusual and pleasurable "hot & cold"/"warm & fresh" combination. I've seen the word "mature" used to define this fragrance. Yes, it is a "mature" sweet fragrance in the sense it is not a teenager fragrance nor a bold disco floor one (though it could be absolutely used in that setting), but not in the sense of "old gentleman fragrance" either. It is very contemporary and if I should individuate an age range this perfume would be perfect on I would say 25-45. Dressing style: smart casual (think Sisley). Probably more suitable in autumn and winter, I don't see it as an everyday fragrance but more as one reserved for evening wear, a special occasion, a date. Concluding, Roccobarocco Extraordinary Man is very stylish and it succeeds being sweet without being overly bold nor cloying and this is its best feature. If you are into sweet but subtle and elegant fragrances it could absolutely be a great blind buy. Recommended.

Extraordinary for Men by Roccobarocco is one of my favorite smells – very elegant and classy one. The bottle is beautiful – dark glass with glossy finish. Extraordinary really has something extraordinary in it – I can’t separate easily top notes from the middle and base notes. It is a complex scent from the beginning. It starts fresh, but the vanilla quickly is getting stronger and the mint is very intense too. I think that great mix of nice, natural mint and powerful vanilla is the charm and magic of Extraordinary. After an hour it becomes sweeter and deeper. The patchouli notes are there – not so loud and aggressive, but they give some power and balance to the scent. Extraordinary is very elegant and smart scent due to these two powerful notes – vanilla and mint. I can compare it to Identite for Men by Rene Lezard – both have similar seductive deep sweetness... Extraordinary has more power in vanilla, Identite gives you more wet woody notes... I would recommend Extraordinary for Men by Roccobarocco to all the vanilla lovers :) The mint and patchouli notes give a great balance and make the scent very interesting and elegant. Longevity – very good – about 8 hours on my skin. Silage – good to very good – vanilla is there nearly from the beginning and later patchouli notes gives power and projection to the scent Suitable for 30+ - this is a mature scent and will shine best in winter/ autumn in some special occasions with smart clothes. ExtraBravo to Roccobarocco for that brave Extraordinary Men scent.

Dubious, I was, when I first received this from a trade. There are multiple versions of this bottle out there (I have the clear glass, yellow juice, cloth glued on with the text). The fragrance name, house name, and bottle all prepared me for a cheap-smelling, cheesy experience. Nope. It opens with a cola vibe- sweet, yes, but also rich- and keeps that general theme throughout. Patchouli is there but not prominent, with saffron, mint, citrus all playing a part. This stuff flirts with becoming cloying and syrupy. it even may go right up to the edge, but never crosses that line. It is sweet without being a clubbing scent, and remains classy, mature, warm, and comforting. And to every other perfume house, take note: THIS is the longevity you should aspire to with all your fragrances! Extraordinary indeed. What a great cheapie, hidden gem, sleeper, whatever you want to call it- it just smells really good. For the ridiculously low price, it's a safe blind buy if you read the reviews and want to take a chance. I really enjoy this one.

I've got the relaunched version, "limited edition" is marked on the box. Extraordinary is very rare and expensive in Europe which is a bad joke 'cause it's made in Italy. When I found it for good price on strawberry I purchased it immediately. The first sniff from it seemed a bit too strong. But it's an oriental, not a light summer scent. Vanilla and mint is prominent in the first half an hour. This part is similar a little bit to Le Male but it didn't cause nausea like Le Male did often when I tried that (and because of I hate Le Male). Then it calms down with saffron and grapefruit and becomes lighter and fresher till the drydown which is a pleasant quality patchouli aroma. Extraordinary is really unique and sweet but not cloying. This scent is not for ordinary days as the name suggests, it's more for dates or for special occasions. Longevity is amazing, more than 10 hours on me and the sillage is also above the average. Serious and special scent, I like it a lot.

What a great surprise! A very nice vanilla and mint combo with a hint of what I thought was a strange cinnamon but is actually saffron. Such a warm, inviting scent and I actually got complimented on it twice in the first hour at the office. I've been blowing through my bottle and will definitely be buying another. Update: a month later and this is in my top five. Of course, it's all personal preference and what you like, but the saffron note in this is just gorgeous! Combined with my favorite note, vanilla, and this is truly special to me. Just hope I can continue to find it in the future. Also, no, this doesn't smell like Le Male, and that's great! I already own Le Male (love it) and this is definitely different.

I have the transparent bottle. This is really sweet, and my first thought was, "Fath L'Homme without the violet and raspberry (though there is fruitiness which isn't that different for the composition), and probably sweeter." Clearly unisex, and yes there is a touch of a tobacco-ish quality. I think a lot of women would really enjoy this one! UPDATE: This is really strong and I think some people might find it to be a suitable substitute for Guerlain's Spiritueuse Double Vanille.

Extraordinary Gem SOTD: Rocobarocco Extraordinary Limited Edition: As of 12/28/18 Vanilla is one of my favorite note, I detect as well the patchouli, and saffron with the hint of the mint in the background, it's a great buy and a hidden gem. A very Extraordinary scent very well balanced all around. Love that Vanilla. Rating Scent: 9/10 Presentation/Design: 8/10 Performance/Longevity: 8.5/10: Lasted on my skin around 12+ hrs Value: 9/10 Overall: 9/10

Although this is similar to Opium Pour Homme and Allure Pour Homme there are elements to it that make it slightly different but in the same vein. It has a strong mint note to my nose... with sweetness and spices along for the ride. It also is resinous to my nose. I really like it and find it full bottle worthy IMO but may be redundant in some collections if you have Allure or Opium or other fragrances in that vein. Enjoy!

Beauty in simplicity. Very linear, the only 2 notes I get are a smooth and creamy vanilla which stands out the most with a subtle cinnamon laying behind it that stays the same from when it's sprayed to when it's gone. One of my favorites in my collection because it's so simple and easy to like, good reactions from the ladies and lasts a while on my dry skin. GET THIS!

vvvv @ keoncharles I also got it bu recommendation from the FragranceGuy, and was able to get one for $15. This thing is wonderful, beautiful citrus, vanilla, and a little mint. Just got mine today, couldn't wait sprayed it on and its lasted all day. What an underrated cheapie. You slap Chanel label on this thing and it's going for $90-$120.

A mega fragrance!So simple but sooooo good,it has similarities with big hits like Le male or One Million,but it has also some uniqueness in it,the evolution is great!Long lasting and with a noticable presence,sadly hard to find,cannot understand why the cut out winners like this!Could have been a true emblem for this designer.........

One of the most underrated and over looked affordable scents out there for men. It has an initial opening of a little citrus but then quickly it dries into a beautiful melody of mint saffron and at its base vanilla. It’s great for fall time or a cool summer night. I’d compare it to Chanel Allure Pour Homme and JP 2

This is a great scent. Got it yesterday and wore all day. My wife loves it too. It has a unique smell and I like the creamy drydown. I would call it spicy with a touch of vanilla and a hint of mint. The value is outstanding for a very niche quality scent. A very satisfying fragrance, good blind buy.

Extraordinary for Men is Y2K in a bottle. No, I don't mean that it was ever as insanely popular back then as much as it is a sleeper-hit 20 years later. I mean that Extraordinary captures the essence of metro-leaning releases like Le Male, Givenchy Pi, and Opium Pour Homme that came out a few years before it. However, Extraordinary adopts elements of each of these (the spiciness of Opium, Pi's sweetness, and Le Male's aromatic backdrop of mint) and then strips the concoction down to the bare-minimum foundations. The result is that Extraordinary doesn't smell extraordinary, but really crowd-pleasing nonetheless. What's really unique is how it captures the essence of a perfume that doesn't exist and makes us nostalgic for it; it's the tonka craze of men's fragrances at the turn of the century, with none of the frills attached. It also lasts and projects just long enough that it can be worn all year round. This needs to be in everybody's collection: 7.5/10 "Dumb reach" PS: I don't smell any saffron and I don't know where people are getting the current note breakdown from. I expect that for a fragrance of this price it's mostly synthetic and there is no safraleine/saffron indenone on the ingredients list at the back of the box. I believe the saffron/tobacco accord people get is from the mixture of Coumarin, Cinnamal, Benzyl Benzoate. The mint accord is backed by Eugenol and Geraniol, clearly. Surprise, surprise @tigidy101: A cinnamon accord is here in a double dose with Cinnamal and Benzyl cinnamate.

I got mine yesterday and today is my first full wear... this fragrance is invigorating with bold notes, if I had to describe it by comparing to others I'd say, its starts out with an opening similar to CK One Shock then it evolves into something similar to Dreamer and finally dries down into a dry down very similar to Halloween Man. All in all this is without a shred of doubt a great hidden gem, like it has been said before, if you like One Million, Le Male, Spicebomb, 212 Sexy, Dreamer... this one is for you. UPDATE: I get a significant amount of tobacco even though its not listed. This thing is a beast!!! This is 8hrs later and this beast keeps pushing and pushing.

Extraordinary for Men by Roccobarocco is one of the perfume, to my nose smells like "Gaultier 2" by Jean Paul Gaultier. Longevity is good with average silage in hot and humid weather. It is a warm vanilla scent but not to my taste. As vanila, I like more of Au Masculin by Lolita Lempicka than Extraordinary by Roccobarocco.

A mix of Le Male and Spicebomb.It's like using these two at the same time!I believe that has notes besides those listed, I feel something like cinnamon and tobacco. Very good

This was reccommended to me by a Youtube reviewer, I put it in my cart & came back later sadly it was sold out .It was also shockingly ( under $20 cheap) no way am I paying $70 for this on EBay....I will wait it out.It has been compared to Le Male & Pi and because of this I am intrigued...🤣🤣👏🏿

A cheap blind buy at Ross. Opened the package and, wow, tobacco, lots of it. But the tobacco is short lived. Nonetheless smell alright. Just not a fan of the last stage of it that come off like dirt or a house cleaner. Overall, okay.
