Eau de Rochas

The other day, passing "in a hurry" through the Plaza store, where I do my perfume shopping, I saw something that hadn't existed for a long time, a shelf full of Rochas. I froze, it was as if I had traveled back to my childhood on Christmas day, and immediately my casual visit turn into the grab as many bottles of Rochas day. I went home with 5 bottles of Rochas, and a few more from other brands🤭, and I spent the whole Friday afternoon smelling it, scoring notes and remembering moments. I only took Eau from Rochas because I either had the rest of the perfumes or I didn't like them, Eau de Rochas, Eau Fraiche, Eau Reflets, Eau Escapade en Mediterranee, Escapade Estivale, there were two more but they had nothing to do with my tastes, too sweet. I had Eau de Rochas years ago but I had forgotten something very important about it, was the perfume I wore to my first unofficial meeting with my husband, as soon as I sprayed it on the canvas paper my husband abandoned the Netflix movie and that's because this perfume is hard to confuse. Yes, it may have some notes with Lancome O, but it doesn't smell like it, O is very aromatic and heavy, this one is green and very oxygenated, it's like basil water with flower petals and coriander. It reminds me more of Jean Couturier than of Lancome.It is a clean perfume for a special, elegant office outfit made of fine materials, maybe satin, silk, cashmere. I remember why I wore it on that special day of my life, because it was a rainier day, with a sun barely visible in the clouds and I had an important business meeting with a person I hated, which now is my spiritual godmother for my wedding, so I took the coldest and most sober perfume I had in my wardrobe and the one to say be careful, at that time of cold spring the perfume was more stronger and more spicy, it made me think I could freeze anyone with just my eyes. Only that day that person was not sitting at the table, but her nephew was, I later found out that the scorpion had planned everything ahead, and so from the cold and sober scent my husband retained an enticing smell of petals water. It's a duplicate perfume, it gives me the feeling that you smell what you want to feel, can be harsh and sober, or fragrant and floral, but in both variants it retains its freshness and refined coldness. I'm glad I have it again and it certainly the next time I won't stay that long without it

I will open by saying that I LOVE “Freshies” like 4711, Jean-Marie Farina and Eau Dynamisante among others. With Summer approaching I wanted to get my Freshy stocks in before demand increases. From reviews on here, a distant scent memory from my youth and the lure of unbeatable prices. I opted for Eau de Rochas. And I am so glad that I did. It is not just fresh, it is super elegant; steely, aquatic, abundantly herbal and a tang of grapefruit but, for me, not lemon. To spritz it on is to elevate your outfit to a new level of chic, understated style. I feel this is very suitable as a unisex fragrance, suitable for a woman or a man who will be instantly transformed into a LADY or a GENT. I do not however think this fragrance will appeal at all to a younger generation. I think there is a spirit of the ‘70s in this which could be lost on ones who did not experience the 1970s for themselves (and this is where I show my age, oh well). I purchased a 220 ml atomiser bottle of the eau de toilette along with a 500ml bottle each of the body lotion and the shower/bath gel. These are all absolute whoppers but I think they bring immense panache to my 70’s style bathroom as can be seen in my fragram. OK, there is a downside. As others have pointed out and I completely agree with them, the scent is ever so fleeting. Wears off in moments, I have to wonder if this is why you can by the perfume and the bath products in such jumbo sizes? Because you would need to really bathe in it to get any decent “go” at all. It still does not deter me. I intend soon to place another order for some more portable size pieces, namely the 50ml perfume and the tube of hand/body cream so that I can enfresh in the field as it were. A little note on the packaging/branding; I like it a lot. It’s very French in a way that is retro and timeless at once. The font is one of those extremely classy ones rather like Clarins and I hope they never change it. The style is distinctively European. The watery etchings on the bottle speak of the cooling scent within. The advertising and branding references classic old master French houses such as Patou in my opinion. I will close by saying that I cannot wait for warmer weather to come along so that I can really get going with this sophisticated scent and hopefully experience something of a “French Girl Summer”.

Behind a world that loves to smell like sweet pastries, these perfume beauties once existed. How could I forget it? My mom’s perfume! She doesn’t buy it anymore because it doesn’t smell the same as it used to—how sad! I managed to get my hands on a vintage one, just as I remembered it. It smells so amazing, I can’t get enough! I can confidently say that moss forms a fundamental pillar of this perfume. You can sense the quality and the perfect craftsmanship that went into it. Just one sniff, and it’s obvious they used excellent materials. I was at the airport, and when I smelled the new version, I was so disappointed. NOTHING TO DO WITH THE ORIGINAL! Honestly, they share about 5% of the same DNA, believe me. If you can find a vintage one, you won’t change your opinion. This perfume transports you to the Mediterranean, as it was inspired by the sea—my beloved Mediterranean Sea. 🌊 Leave everything behind and let yourself be carried away to a sunny Mediterranean island, where the sea stretches out before your eyes, and you’re near the shore with a delightful ocean breeze washing over you. That fresh sea scent surrounds you. Behind you, there’s a beautiful forest filled with basil, citrus, and, above all, oak moss. The closer you get, the more you can smell the environment around you. Let me tell you, if you’re Mediterranean like me, this will take you back home. It smells like home. I currently live outside of my beloved country Spain, where there’s no coast, and it rains a lot. Every time I wear this perfume, I can’t help but i smile. It makes me feel at home and, most importantly, reminds me of my mom♥️ Forget, for a moment, about those perfumes that smell like cake. Let yourself get lost in this masterpiece of a perfume. What can I say? This perfume has no age—it’s about the maturity you have. Not suitable for little girls or boys. This is for grown men and women. Perfectly unisex.

Just bought a 220ml bottle on the internet and I am excited about this baby to arrive. My first memory of this perfume was flying from Paris to Toulouse on an Air Inter flight in the late 80's. I was one of the first to board the plane and one of the cabin attendants had probably splashed herself with Eau de Rochas before meet and greet. The smell was clean, crisp citrusy and so stylish and chic that I asked her what she was wearing and bought it for me. Yep I'm a bloke and thinks that that some perfumes are unisex and have been wearing some women branded ones ever since: Angel, Escale a Parati, Aromatics Elixir, Empreinte and Eau by Courrèges. I have recently come back to the "eau" as they are safe, personal and intimate with this feel good after shower fresh factor, compared to their pungent sisters which have a tendency to be in your face and then disappear. The "eaux" are more subtle, closer to your personality and to your skin and can be worn any time. I have read that Rochas are now part of the Procter and Gamble brand, so I hope that their eau has retained the same comforting scent in its reformulation as the original. More to say in a next posting. Edit: just received my little baby today, and wow, it felt like a long lost friend I had not seen for years. The opening note has slightly changed compared to the original and I must say a tad synthetic. But the base note is exactly what it has always been: a citrusy, flowery and fresh note. Not overpowering, just simply classy and subtle. Definitely a unisex perfume and even more for me as a middle-aged man when I now prefer soft and personal scents and spray again during the day whenever I feel to, instead of one spray of those overpowering modern ones that tend to be so complicated that you get bored with them quickly. I am now back on my plane to Toulouse...

Like Mediterranean, Eau de Rochas evokes strong family memories for me which is one reason I like it so much. My mum died suddenly a few years ago, which was devastating of course, and she had a large bottle of this which she used on and off, as well as other perfumes such as Dune. There's still some left in her bottle, which I still have, and I sometimes sniff it and it brings back vivid memories of my mum, sometimes sad ones and sometimes happy ones. Sometimes I cry when I smell it because it reminds me so much of her. Of course, I can't bring myself to use up the remainder of it (which, by the way, still smells as lovely now as it did years ago and it hasn't gone 'off' at all) so I keep it because of its connection to my mum, as well as the loveliness of it. It's such a lovely, clear, fresh, invigorating smell, like a refreshing eau de cologne, very European smelling, and I think it's wonderful. No wonder it's a classic. It's ideal for spring and summer use but can easily be worn all year around. Also, the bottle's so pretty! As for some of the reviews here which say it's nauseating, smells like disinfectant, etc, although of course everyone has their own take on things, to use words like that is totally inappropriate for such a delightful perfume as this. In my opinion it's an entirely inoffensive scent and so not the type of perfume that should provoke such a strange reaction! If it was heavy and pungent like 'classics' such as Opium, LouLou, etc, I could see it evoking strong dislike in some people but it's not like those kinds of perfumes (thank god!). Eau de Rochas is a very special perfume, very, very recommendable and well worth the effort of tracking down a bottle!

This is a review for a vintage bottle, eau de toilette circa 1970s era. Awesome. It's more of a light chypre IMO than a citrus fragrance since the mid and base notes take over after the fresh opening. The opening is refreshing, vibrant and invigorating. Crisp and herbal. The basil accord adds an herby freshness to the usual line-up of citrus notes. Bergamot, lime, and lemon are the strongest notes I detect from the range listed above. The heart is lightly sweet and spicy, the carnation giving a "zingy" note to the sweeter accords of jasmin and rose. Heavy on the patchouli! This strong note, I think, is what makes Eau de Rochas a stand-out in the category of citrus fragrances. If you're looking for pure and simple citrus, this probably won't be up your alley. After roughly an hour I started picking out the basenotes, and again, these accords make this frag exceptional in its category.Oakmoss, vetiver and amber keep it earthy, the musk is sensual. Not only do these notes add longevity, but also depth and sexiness. Words not usually associated with hot-weather fragrances in my experience. I can't think of anything I'd rather wear in the sultry heat of summertime. The crisp herbiness of the opening notes topping the woody base seems the best of all worlds. I feel as if I'm wandering along a wooded stream, the air filled with the fragrance of lush greenery and wild herbs. It's heavenly. Sillage good, longevity 7-8 hours on me. A great unisex fragrance, guys.

I have mixed feelings about this fragrance, which is why this is my third post about it. I don't know whether to call it underrated or undervalued; it is, indeed, legendary, or rather, iconic. I first tried it in 1996, a miniature in a gift box with the scrub and cream. It has the feel of vintage after-bath colognes, distinctly summery. It avoids being typical because of its bitter touch, its invigorating quality, and its natural refreshing effect. It's natural. Nothing like the redundant fragrances that are currently circulating. I only use it in the summer to this day, and I hope to always be able to find it. It's a gem, and not every country has vintage Rochas fragrances. Invigorating and energizing, refreshing, long-lasting, and persistent, the touch of bitterness sets it apart from typical citrus scents and makes it more invigorating and appealing. I tried the men's version, but it opens refreshingly aquatic and then transforms into an acidic and synthetic, adhesive scent. I completely disliked it. Eau de Rochas pour femme has royalty, naturalness and comfort.

Decided to go crazy and stock for the summer as I now have been with my old friend Eau de Rochas for a few weeks: I have bought another 250 ml bottle. This perfume is really wicked in a good way and confirms the old adage that great perfumes are those you can't smell on you, but now and again remind you of their presence. That is exactly why EDR is about: discretion, class, citrusy freshness that evolves into a kind of subtle metallic flowery composition in some kind of masculine way. For a man and in the unisex "eaux" range, EDR is crispier than Escale à Parati (one of my favourites from Dior) and less flowery than Ô de Lancome (another of my favourites). It is sharper and even more masculine in a way than the EDR for Men which is very common to my view. If you are a guy, a splash or spray of EDR after showering will uplift your spirits, put you in a great mood (especially in the dark winter days), and will make you ready for the day ahead without feeling you have put too much on! I can't express enough how I love and crave for this perfume!

My mother passed away last winter. When I went to her house to clean i found her bottles of Rochas perfume, one unopened still in its box. When i sprayed it it brought me back to my youth in the 80s. Like Proust's madeleine, this is the smell of heavy evenings, when my mom would lock herself in the bathroom to take a long bath, in silence. I remember walking in the bathroom after she had left, still smelling the deep and heavy, hot vaporous air mixed with her perfume. While all the other suburban moms around wore sweet and heavy Chanel-ish perfumes, my mom was different. She was not sweet, rich or comfortable. she was sensual, singular, dramatic and grand. My experience of Eau de Rochas will always be tainted by this. I smell the cleanliness if citrus but there is an underlying feel of something raw, animalistic. Like a whore's bath. Of all the perfumes I own, this is the one I now wear when i need to feel confident. I channel my mother, what she meant to me back in those days. This mysterious grandiose dramatic rebel stuck in the suburbs.

A true french classic and I only had a chance to sample this just now..What a waste of time, I must say it is wonderful! Perfect combination of sea spray, sweet and sour citruses and a hint of flowers, comes out totally refreshing and uplifting on my skin, a scent that I could spend every summer day in!!! I think one might say it`s almost unisex, but the middle notes make it really soft and floaty so I`d rather say it`s just fresh and summery. I am a big fan of Rochas and I have been in France a few times and I remember the scent floating down the streets and now I know this was it..It will remind me of France forever, especially the Riviera - I saw it at airports and also in Spain an Portugal, but never actually tried it, I was totally wrong not to! I have Eau Sensuelle, the pink bottle which is a sweeter version of this, but I must say that I`d rather wear this one than Eau Sensuelle, if only I could find it anywhere at a reasonable price as it has become rare and pricey. Great scent, it will be a fave, especially around the summer!

Fresh herbs and citrus... I find that Eau de Rochas is a wonderful fragrance which is fresh and aromatic and natural smelling. This reminds me very much of Dior - Eau Sauvage but without the hedione - jasmine note. Instead we're left with the basil and the verbena and other herbs which give this a very green smell. I also find this similar to Eau de Guerlain . I would say that I think this one can be placed in that particular trilogy of fragrances. The Dior from 1966, this one from 1970, and the Guerlain from 1974. I would say that if you want something more floral and balanced then go for the Dior , but if you want something greener and amplified (but more on the same theme as this one) then go for the Guerlain . Overall a lovely fragrance which has the sourness of bitter herbs and citrus. A very nice mix which is perfect for spring & summer etc... and if you like the other fragrances mentioned in the same category then give this one a try. It's really green and refreshing and perfect for everyday use.

Eau de Rochas is refined refreshment. The fragrance opens with a bracing citrus combination. Lime and grapefruit both are very prominent to my nose. Soon the sparkling citrus opening is accompanied by a salty herbal accord. Basil probably. Fresh basil does not smell like this accord, not by far, but there are some similarities. The base of oakmoss offers a dark damp coolness. A walk in a forest on a hot day. A moment's respite in the shade of the mighty trees. But not for long. This perfume is more about light, about the blazing sun than about darkness. I could hardly think of a perfume that's more suited on a hot, humid day than Eau de Rochas. I love the lack of sweetness and the fact that this perfume, despite the salty freshness, never turns the least bit aquatic. The malestrom bottle represents this perfume beautifully and the big spray nozzle gives the biggest, most refreshing sprays. Eau de Rochas is a perfume that is worth having in the biggest size available.

I splashed it all over my body for a whole weekend at the Greek sea and it was then that i was first enchanted by this perfume. this is definitely a sea scent, but not in the sense of today’s aquatic scents. it is sour and salty and sweaty and refreshing at the same time. it carries the whole charm of the Mediterranean – the hot weather, the wind, heated streets and stone buildings, the simple old-time furniture and antiquity of the place, the cuisine and the scent of sea. it has some of my favourite notes – lime, grapefruit, spices, patchouli, woods, moss. a skin scent that is naturally fresh, sexy and sophisticated. sometimes dirty, primitive and animalistic... i feel it like that. and there is also an aristocratic, a-bit-decadent air in it. a strange attraction. definitely provoking imagination and taking to other worlds. this is what i love most about perfumes! i’m going on holiday very soon, at the same place, and this one will be with me most of the time.

I have bought this one because of the rumors saying that Rochas may discontinue all their scents . Even if they don't I won't regret this purchase because it's a classical i've always wanted to have . Yes it's a classical , everyone should at least test it once in their life. Beware ! It's really not a sweety / girly / trendy scent ! Kepp in mind it has been created in 1970 ! Thus i think young women / teenager won't like this at all , But thanks God all young women or teenager are no sheep who follows blindly the advertising's summons of what they're supposed to like for their age. This is sharp , herbal , even unisex in my opinion . A man could wear it without anyone guessing he is wearing a women scent . Of course you have the right not to like this perfume, but please, at least try it . It's a classical that belongs to the patrimony of perfumery , and it might dispear soon ! Besides this it really makes me think of Diorella !

Just ordered another bottle of this. Such a light, beautiful, soft, and calming fragrance! I have tried so many fragrances the past year, looking for that one that would feel right every morning before heading to work. This is it! The bergamot is bracing and clean, and it dries down to a very soft iris scent without losing that bright opening too much. I do not find anise listed as an ingredient but I seem to detect it in this scent. It's perfect for my work environment where I have the misfortune to be in a West Coast office that contains many "fragrance sensitive" people. When I leave the office I respray, and I even spray this on before going to bed. There's something so seamless, soft, and effortlessly pretty about this fragrance, something classic and definitely fresh. I always feel more put together and feminine in the mornings after I spray this.

No tricks about it, just an extremely good-smelling, refined, high quality, European-style citrus cologne, but with a hint of a patchouly/chypre-like base. I would not call it "green" in any way. Easily unisex. Light, sharp, nose-tickling, elegant, cooling with delicate herbal qualities. I do seem to get distinct neroli and honeysuckle notes, though they are not listed in the "official" olfactive pyramid. The jasmin betrays a hint of "old-school" indoles. Coriander make the whole mix pleasantly, delicately bitter, which it stays throughout its development. Everything is blended seamlessly, and no one note stands out at all. The ambered base smells rather sunbaked, like a hot golden St. Tropez beach, and neroli confers its suntan lotion feeling. The ultimate summer scent, it's just pure pleasure with no hidden intrigues at all.

Who said that refreshment has to be clean and boring? (Well, probably some contemporary American person. Luckily, the 1970's French thought otherwise and gave us Eau de Rochas.) This is old school, and dries down to a personal type skin scent that is borderline dirty and has the eroticism that almost no modern creation dares to carry (at least in the mainstream). I wouldn't have expected that from a refreshing summer citrus. Could last longer though, probably needs more sprays. It smells very natural, really like opening some citrus fruit, you can even smell the bitterness of the peel, brilliantly done! Love that slight bitter twist! Also, it suits both genders perfectly. This was my first impression, will update. My tester bottle doesn't have the gorgeous looking cap, but the bottle itself looks great.

I buy this fragrance by the litre. No joke! I buy the huge 440ml bottles and decant them in smaller sprayers for ease of use. In summer this is the Eau I reach the most. I own dozens of fresh citrusy colognes and love them all, but Eau de Rochas owns a special place in my heart (it was my beloved uncle signature fragrance, he lived in Paris: this fragrance reminds me of him when we hugged, as he always came to fetch me at the Paris airport). Eau de Rochas seems your typical fresh citrus -bergamote cologne (Think Jean Marie Farina, 4711 etc) except it has a warm base and a fabulous drydown. Musk amber sandalwood and that little oakmoss make it sexy and cozy. I love it to bits, now if only it could last longer... Anyway, for that reason it comes in 440ml bottles ... :o)

I dreamed about this perfume long before I was able to afford it. And when I finally bought it, it was worth both the waiting and every penny it cost, and still is. It was my first perfume and I’m sure it will be a regular in my wardrobe for as long as it remains in production, which I hope is for many many years to come. I have always loved how revitalising it is. The combination of the citruses in the top notes is simply a work of art. I also like its consistency, in that the dry down is not something completely unexpected, like it happens with some perfumes out there in the market. And as for the aesthetics of the presentation, I think they are flawless: water running over clear glass, what better way to evoke the freshness and the crispness of this scent.

This perfume was launched two years before I was born and it was a big hit when I was growing up. I lived in Spain and moved to Germany when I was in my twenties, so to me this smells like your typical middle-class, elegant Spanish lady. Discreet, clean (citrus), and refined. It has that slightly naughty seventies spice (patchouli?) that makes it just a tiny bit mysterious, and only a hint of bitterness, but nothing poisonous, more like the bitter skin of the orange holding the sweetness inside. It is refreshing but also warm, something you can wear on a hot summer afternoon as well as on a chilly spring morning. It is almost a cologne, just a little bit more. I wear it every day. It reminds me of a different type of woman, so I like it.

Eau de Rochas is the perfect scent to cut through the heat of summer. I mainly smell lemon, floral notes, especially geranium, and oakmoss with an underlying mineralized aromatic quality. This is not a rounded scent, the notes smell natural. I find it refreshing yet sensual due to it's chypre base. IMO, it is a unisex scent although there are versions for both females and males. It has moderate sillage when first applied. The longevity is only a few hours for me so I bought the matching lotion which does help to extend the life of this scent. I like to keep a splash bottle of this in the fridge for sultry hot weather. EdR is a favorite and one that I will always have in my collection.

Dear Fragrantican, I urge you to do try and find the earlier, vintage version of Eau de Rochas and perhaps you will experience the lifting, light, bright airiness of the topnotes of this classic as well as the oakmoss and crisp patchouli in the base. For me this lasts for hours! I have tried the newer version and am not quite as fond of it, although it is lovely to splash on in the a.m. to begin the day or after shower in the evening. EdR is a go-to for me on those first days in May when the weather is starting to be warm in the morning. It's a ritual for me and a celebration of the season I look forward to each year.

Eau de Rochas in one word. FRESH. It is one of two scents I would reach for in the summertime to make me feel renewed. The other was Eau Ressourcante by Clarins. EdR is even better when kept in the refrigerator. Imagine spraying or splashing yourself with something utterly citrusy yet not lemon, lime, grapefruit, nor orange, but all of these things, because there is a perfect balance wrought by the vetiver and oakmoss. EdR is not a chypre but it is. It's not a citrus, but it is. It's not a floral, but it sort of is. It's light and it's masterfully blended and above all, anyone can wear it.

I've just got a vintage bottle and I am in love! I was born in the late 70s, and this smells like the classy and cool (that's how saw them then, at least) ladies I wanted to be like when I grew up. Those women in linen suits, casual but elegant. At first it's fresh, citrusy, herbal, then it's goes woody and spicy and stays like that for a long time on me. Mediterranean sea, a lemon drink, some herbs, an old small church... It has lots of character, unlike the many watery fruity summer scents of today. And it could definitely be a masculine scent. I love Rochas house!

I remember smelling this for the first time when I was 15. I was walking to Santiago de Compostela in July with some friends and one of the ladies in charge of the group used it. When I returned home I was begging my mother to buy it for my birthday in August and finally I got it. When I sprayed it my mum thought it was lovely too and it has been her signature scent ever since. My sister uses it too and although I still love it, with so many people around wearing it, it has become a family mark. Sometimes I wear it in scorching summer days. So refeshing !

It smells exactly as a perfect cologne ought to. It is a noble relative of O de Lancome. It is as innocent as a sunny morning in a green garden and as refined as luxurious penthouse. If I were to start over with perfumes, this would be my number one. The energy it provides is just amazing - it doesn't make you jump like crazy but it does give you the feeling of a new beginning, of total "tabula rasa" that will change into a beautiful picture and optimistic path of your life. That's just the magic of citrusses and fresh herbs:)

This smell like an old school man's cologne on me (4711?). It opens with a bright citrus note then quickly turn into a cold and bitter smell. It is long lasting (all day) but too masculine on me. However I find it works great when layering it with fragrances that I find too sweet for warm weather(Cabotine, for example). It adds coolness and complexity, turning the sweetness into a refreshing and unique summer scent, a definite keeper. Guys should try this too if they are looking for a classic male cologne with good longevity.

I remember beautiful lace box with Eau de Rochas standing on the shelf in my grandmother closet. I was always curious what treasure was hiding there inside. This is a truly scent of my childhood. Now putting it on I feel younger :) I would agree with many reviews under that it is truly a "sea scent". Slightly salty, windy and very fresh. Patchouly coming out the strongest for me. It is such a splash of energy scent - something to use for every ocasion when you want to stay alert and awake. True gem!

The memories it brings back from my first bottle in 1993 are so sweet. The top notes dissipate very quickly to a delicate powdery spicy vetiver. I smell licorice and patchoulli. It's versatile -- light enough for a teenager but not too young for a woman at any age. I can't really imagine men wearing this, though. Not sweet at all. Definitely savory. It gets a 10/10 for me if you're looking for a light, vintage, spicy scent.

Eau de Rochas is everything you wish your summer perfume to smell like: citrusy, refreshingly-cold and fizzy. it is not sweet and the only fruitiness in it comes from the citrus. the oakmoss, coriander and carnation add a "lot" of bitterness to the juice and makes it a mature-lady scent. Unlike other perfumes that are from the same family (citrusy perfumes) this one has a strong projection and longevity.

Amazing and powerfull fragance! Love it and wear it! A really and truely retro or vintage cologne ... I don t know how describe it ... misty and warm, but fresh and tonic, deffinitely for wearing it on summer ... may be resinous and herbal ... sunny ... but lemony (lemon, lime, lemon tree...) with the luxe and the optimistic of antiques colognes... One of the best experiences on summer fragances ...

This is an immense crystalline citrus verbena that rides a wave of crisp basil and lands in a reservoir of sheer white florals. One could store this mouthwatering juice in the fridge and spray it with abandon to help make 90 degree days more bearable. I find this unfolds far more beautifully than Eau de Rochas Homme, which is a bit too sharp and tart with very little in the middle

There's a proverb which says "Before to love it, learn to hate it". First time I felt it, I was like "Blaaaahhhhh, that's awful and heady. What is this thing ?" But, few days after, I felt it again, because there was a note (I don't know which one) I liked, in the back. Second time... Marvelous, its freshness is unparalleled ! I feel to scent the most perfect icecube ever !

Very happy to have discovered this fragrance. It is almost identical to Dior Eau Fraiche which is a scent I wore in the eighties and hard to find now and will cost a small fortune. A nice bright citrus with a touch of green notes . A great warm weather scent that is very uplifting. I now have a fantastic scent to replace my Dior at a great price.

I hit 16 and suddenly the interest in perfume began. I bought this for my 16th birthday and have hardly ever been without a bottle since. I feel refreshed simply looking at the icy bottle & top design, not a one-note citrus that smells like lemon detergent, this is a favourite of mine I still never tire of nearly 30 years later.

I first smelled this back in the early 80s, on a lovely fellow student in my French class. She was dressed in a simple, elegant skirt and sweater and carried herself beautifully. Turns out she was the daughter of the secretary general of the UN. That was an early, unforgettable lesson in style for me.

This bottle with this perfume. Perfection. It just tells you what you are getting into. Fresh, faceted, sparkling, waves of water rippling over polished stones. Someone said this is not "beach" I think it is, it's just Cyprus not Daytona. Citrus, Aromatic, Unisex done really well.

I realized I needed it as an ally on the hottest days. The tester was no longer available but luckily it's still the same fragrance I remembered: a bit of carnation in a burst of citrus fruits. Eau de Rochas is my true little vintage gem and I really like it!

Hello. This is my favorite fragance, but is not on sale in Chile and Duty Free of South America. l buy several when l travel to Europe. l can not compare this smell with anything else. My dream is get the 440 ml bottle, but l could not find it!!!

Just when I decided no more fragrance... this one is back in stock! And for a good price... and who knows for how long... bit the bullet. :) Though summer is ending who knows if this scent will be available here next year for this cheap.

One of the best hot-weather aromatic citrus scents I know. Vibrant and very refreshing, and the chypre-like base keeps it going for many hours. Silage is bold, the longevity 8 hours. Love this classic. Totally unisex.

This is delicious. In gin and tonic kind of way, not pink coctail with umbrella kind of way. Something to wear for your adult self all year round. And there is still body care to go with. Summer winner. Love it!

Gorgeous tarragon-chypre cologne, this is the French version of Kolnisch wasser. I absolutely love it. Yes, cooling on a hot day. But appropriate any time, really. For all but the most formal settings. Classic.

smells like these bluish green candy mints old ppl used to give me when I was little lol but after awhile I mainly smell the black currant. Idk I love it, its very different; use, use in my husband!!

Yes I think they did reformulate it and weakened it. I also bought a similar fake dark green liquid, and in the Eau De Rochas bottle! I do like the original.

The original name was eau de Roche! This scent is unisex & it's a true masterpiece for hot summer days🏖️ a must to have for summer days! Love it ♥️
