Feuille de Figuier

Great fig leaf perfume. Well, it's supposed to be edc. I'm not the only one who noticed that many edp could not stand the comparison with this edc. Great performance and it's green, aromatic and figgy until the end. I might personally prefer Philosykos, the transparency and naturality for me outweighs longevity. But I also understand the frustration some fleeting beauties leave behind. FdF is one satisfying purchase, especially in pharmacy when you feel like death warmed over and those little bottles are so damn cute and guilt free. Or some body care for our exhausted hides. Now, it's dark and freezing outside and I'm thoroughly enjoying this fig leaf. That benzoin, almost tonka like that I found bleuring the green lines last summer is fabulous in winter. It really works better in cold. And who doesn't want a little something to remind him that it will get better?

Fig and fig leaf are at the top of my favorite notes. I’ve been a fig fan for two decades, so am very excited to finally be able to get to sample Roger & Gallet’s offerings. I don’t know why this brand is hard to get in the States. My current location is the California desert, and Feuille de Figuier is perfect for the dry heat. This is the citrus aromatic part of the fig tree and leaf. Combined with other herbal elements, most notably neroli and benzoin, Feuille de Figuier has a 2 hour life span. It is not meant to be a loud perfume or one with great stamina. It’s like a beautiful bath in a citrus and fig orchard. I love it. EDIT loved this one and found it on an eBay store. Love it for versatility in warm weather, easily respraying or switching to another scent when Feuille dies down.

I tried several Roger and Gallet scents on various pulse points and then went to do my shopping. All the ones except this one smelled pleasant, but almost indistinguishable. After more than three hours, this was the only one I could still smell, and it smelled like goodness--like a kind older person that collects rare books and has a twinkle in their eye and has a nice little garden. I bought the small bottle and will use it every day!

Green, fresh but sweet, a very modern unisex fragrance that smells much much more expensive and sophisticated than the price suggests it. Roger Gallet seems to have created one of the best in its line. It has a great sillage and can be worn casual as well as formal.

Als je dit parfum op jou hebt gespoten, heb je het gevoel dat je langs een vijgenboom wandelt. Het doet me terugdenken aan heerlijke, warme Zuid-Franse zomers in de Ardèche, waar plots de geur van een vijgenboom jouw neus in komt. Heerlijk!

My favourite spring scent. Not extremely strong but so beautiful and fresh. So sad they discontinued this :(

Truth be told I'm very fond of figgy scents, my favourite is still Philosykos EDT but Feuille de Figuier is a lovely little treat as well. The opening is very sparkly and lively, smells like someone is scratching green lemon peels behind your back. This stage lasts a couple of minutes and then the fig leaves kick in - they smell realistic, toasty and shady at the same time. At this point it makes me want to find the nearest fig tree and take a nap underneath, so relaxing. I also find the galbanum-centered drydown very interesting, this way the fragrance remains green and relatively unsweetened which is quite a refined old school approach in my opinion. The overall effect and structure of Feuille de figuier give the impression of a sheer chypre. Sillage is soft and lasts a couple of hours but it's described as "fragrant wellbeing water", meant to be reapplied and refresh the wearer. In comparison to Fleur de Figuier this is less sweet and fruity. Even more different than Fleur de figuier EDP which is basically a fruitchouli. I've been very happy with this new Roger & Gallet offering. If you happen to enjoy fig leaves definitely give it a chance.

Realistic feelgood easytowear and office friendly fragrance, perfect for summer. I'm more into the leaf than the fruit & I enjoy using it as a body spray. Luckily for me no black currant/cassis, no mint, no basil in this one. Very long lasting for an "eau de cologne", supposed to be the lightest concentration of perfume. I could name much more expensive EDP's who couldn't stand the comparison. Noticed and appreciated at work and at home. My first spray is not yet empty but I already have backups... Shower gel is great too.

This was so beautiful! A slightly green and fresh fig with coconutty facets and a delicate woody background. Perfect for hot and heavy-feeling weather. It's now discontinued but as soon as I smelled BDK Gris Charnel, I got reminded of it big time! A very similar coconutty fig with a soft woody dry down, but the green facets got replaced for a creamy accord--- in my book, it got even better. I then realized both perfumes were made by the same perfumer. Maybe it's no coincidence... :)

it started with strong sweetness like citrus candies on my skin which I didn't really enjoy, but just few minutes later fig leaf came out intensively. It stayed very green until it ends. I hope if it could be less sweet at the beginning on me, but really enjoyed its realistic fig leaf scent!

Discontinued... They changed their range of Colognes and it's not available (from the French official site).

Green and a bit sweet. Reminds me a lot of TM Womanity, minus the saltiness. Definitely not a dupe for Philosykos.

On me - no bergamot, just the milky sweetness of the fig leaf with hints of cedar and benzoin peeking out bashfully every now and then. A successful blind buy and Roger & Gallet is fast becoming one of my favourite perfume houses. Everything I've sniffed from them so far has been tasteful and elegant.

I own several R&Gs (Fleur d’Osmanthus, Cédrat, Bois d’Orange, and this), and they are all very pleasant. This natural quality present in R&G eaux fraîches is somewhat akin to Diptyque; well-refined, very natural, so if your budget is more limited, R&G serves as an excellent alternative for scents that are devoid of a synthetic element. Despite the low perfume oil concentration, I would say that I am very surprised by the longevity of this scent, as @jazzfan notes, this performs very well. Unfortunately, I don’t find this to be the case with my beloved Fleur d’Osmanthus.. Rather than being airy and fleeting, the grounding elements of cedar and benzoin ensure that Feuille can be differentiated among the crowd of other fig-centric offerings. Albeit, the only other fig perfume I own is Ortigia’s Fico d’India (FdF is definitely superior despite the superficial resonance). Having tested this eau fraiche several times, I can agree with the stated composition; the fruity zinginess of the orange and bergamot in the initial phase does gradually transition into a grounded greenness. You do have to enjoy aromatic greens to value this scent. Moreover, some tea element is also fairly pronounced on my skin, which makes it a fitting rainy day springtime fragrance. An undefined melancholic milkiness enveloped this perfume, which is why the gentle sillage is appropriate for the ambience. 8/10

I absolutely love this perfume. I bought it in a Monoprix in Paris after having smelled it and I fell in love. I really enjoy many of R&G’s fragrances. It’s been a few years since I was in Paris and I’m still just as obsessed with this perfume and will 100% purchase this again. I’d wear it daily but I want it to remain special. I just can’t get enough.

I can't wait to smell this new Roger et Gallet. I felt in love with Fleur de figuier an Gingembre intense. Feuille de figuier sound perfect for summertime.
