L'Homme Sport

Fresh green fragrance, reminds me to Terre d'Hermes, Yardley Citrus & Woods and Montale Red Vetyver. Cool, green and woody, really refreshing.

This is really awesome !! The first thing that came to my mind after smelling this fragrance was "an old library vibe".. So, I log in to fragrantica to post my review and guess what !! The reviewer below me mentions exactly the same thing !! I must say I am mightily surprised !! There is definitely something about old libraries and this perfume !! Overall, I find the smell very citrusy, woody and spicy.. Instead of citrusy I should be using the word sour.. The woody smell here is very "sour-woody" - like cedarwood essential oil.. It gives off the same vibe as turpentine but a lot less intense of course !! It is a LIKE fragrance not a LOVE.. Projection and longevity are pretty weak.. The smell stays as a skin scent for about 3 hours before disappearing completely.. On clothes too the smell stays for about 3 or 4 hours.. Projection is very intimate.. I see myself wearing this on a cold winter evening - dressed in a jacket and beanie and everything, going through piles of hardbound books with battered covers and yellowed pages in the attic of my Victorian era ancestral mansion where I've come to spend my winter holidays after 10 or 12 years.. I do not have a Victorian era ancestral mansion by the way !! But you get the idea, I guess !!

A really gorgeous citrus. It's very pleasant. Starts with grapefruit, lemons and some tea. It dries down to a really lovely citrus, amber and vetiver scent. There is a "face cream" note in the background Lasts a long time too. I have not smelled a citrus quite like this one. Lovely one from R&G!

Pleasing vetiver and citrus fragrance. I feel this would be more suitable for the general population in comparison with original L'homme from Roger and Gallet. Smells very similar to Bois De Vetiver by Karl Lagerfeld.

This is my first review and I am sorry it is a negative one. Plain and simple. It smells like when smoking at clubs was allowed and we would get home stinking. The worst fragrance I ever bought.

A "Sporty" Vetiver... I really like this one. I expected a quite generic, aquatic like "sport" fragrance, but instead got a blast of citrus and vetiver which was quite nice! This is a hidden vetiver gem in my opinion. I should have known that Roger & Gallet , creators of some of the oldest fragrances, would do a good job on this one. I get the grapefruit, cardamom, black tea and pink pepper, and they all serve to accentuate the vetiver here. I would actually recommend this one not really as a "sports" fragrance but as an everyday, classy daytime wear type of fragrance. Overall, just a great vetiver scent with a good citrus & grapefruit combination which would suit almost any occasion. Really nice stuf!

A niche quality fragrance. The opening is a blend of vetiver, oakmoss, and grapefruit, and the dry down is dominated by freshly ground coriander seed, pink pepper, citruses, and a powdery talc note which by the way the legend says that it was Catherine de Medici who was responsible for this discovery, adding ground iris powder to her skin care products. I see the similarities with Terre d' Hermes but is a completely different scent. The Coriander, Vetiver, and powdery accord are the dominant notes, the fragrance is also sweet . A winter scent ideal for the snow and cold weather.Good projection and longevity and smells 100% natural. Unisex. Masterpiece.

Such a beautiful fragrance. Classy, sophisticated, intelligent - a work of art!! I detect all the notes here and also get a slight "old library" accord, not sure what's casusing that! Oh, and there is nothing “Sporty” about it. This was so inexpensive, when you could get it, I wish I had bought a hundred bottles!! I totally agree with the review below me, it is an (understated) "Masterpiece"
