Bonded is just such a classy and unique scent for the well put together gent. The bourbon whiskey note is attention grabbing and yet immediately familiar but still somehow unique! It's a scent of contradictions. Update: this scent has improved further over the last few months, every element is now deeper and stronger, noticeably too! It's steadily climbed up to the highest echelons of mens fragrance. I've even been wearing this on cooler summer days. WOW! Combined with warmer temperatures and maturation this stuff is incredible. I'll genuinely never be without a bottle of this! Back to the original review...it all still stands plus another 50%.............. Rogue perfumes mastery of oakmoss is evidently beautiful as always, complimented and rounded by a gorgeous tobacco to fulfil the opening unlike anything else I've experienced. Then comes the Oud, blimey! It's subtly done and absolutely no barnyard or feces smell at all... thankfully! What you get is quite stunning, a spicy, smokey note that just brings it all together into a fragrance that belongs on any man over 30 who is discerning but with an air of ruggedness and individuality. It's not really for warmer weather but it'll do it, milder and chillier temperatures are ideal for Bonded to be at its best though. It'll go perfect with jeans, sweater and a quality pair of boots and just as effective if dressed more formally, as long as you are well presented. This is a scent that will stand out in the best possible way, as should your attire when opting for this level of perfumery. It's the same but different from Rogue! By that, I mean it's crafted to perfection with oakmoss and often used tobacco but a departure for the brand by using Oud and Bourbon. It works so incredibly well. It's not a monster in projection, it's a little over arms length for 2-3 hours before slowly coming closer. Eventually a skin scent after around 6 hours and remaining for another few after that. The smokiness and boozy facets take the lead with the oakmoss and tobacco providing a nice comforting base throughout the experience. There is a delicate, gentle sweetness that underpins this scent counteracting any potential roughness, providing a balance. You'll continually catch beautiful waves for many hours as will others as you go about your business. Bonded is going to be very hard to ignore over the autumn and winter seasons, easily signature worthy for the right type of man. Great brand, fantastic product with good performance. An excellent alternative for the modern gentleman.

Bonded is an incredibly well-crafted composition and doesn’t necessarily smell like a perfume, it rather portrays a personality. Imagine a beautiful, photorealistic alcoholic note unlike anything else, shaped by the oak barrels in which the bourbon whiskey has matured: slightly sweet, soaked with oakmoss that gives it that shaving-foam and fougère touch. The tobacco rounds it off with a distinctive masculine note, and the oud floats in the background, agreeable yet present, adding to that masculine character. Bonded truly left me speechless. What Cross has created here is real artistry. Powerful fragrances are often described as “wearing you instead of being worn.” With Bonded, the performance is great, but it’s the character this scent embodies so uncompromisingly: a very classic, masculine man who smells of a fresh shave, clean whiskey, and tobacco - and does so in an irresistibly appealing way. And so you rightfully ask yourself: “Can I pull this off? Will people believe it, or will I make a fool of myself?” Because this fragrance signals exactly that type - yes, that archetype. The creator behind this composition didn’t care about trends. This is not yet another Tyger or Layton clone. There is nothing cute about it. This is a real statement scent. Niche, unique, yet so well-executed and attractive that it walks that fine line. You catch yourself wanting to smell it again and again. Thank you, Manuel Cross, that fragrances like this still exist today.

I've had the sample set for a while, and despite having some firm favourites ( Fougere L'aube and Tabac Vert spring to mind ) I have never actually gotten around to buying a full bottle of any. So when this popped up on my UK retailers website, and after knowing the reviews it had received, I blind bought a bottle. Yup, impulsive! Anyway, long story short ( too late I suppose ) - Bonded is REALLY nice. Not overly complex to my nose. the first opening notes of booze and tobacco are very attention grabbing, but it really doesn't take long ( 30 mins?) for that classic Rogue Oakmoss to come through. Don't get any obvious Agarwood. Several hours deep into the drydown their is a slight leatheriness tinged by snuffed burnt matches. Very good release, longevity easily 6-7 hrs but it honestly is quite skinscent after around 2 hours. For the first 3-4 hours a large part of this reminds me of Michael by Michael Kors. I still have some left in a bottle somewhere ( from around 2008/9 I think, not the reformulated one a few years later ) so I'll have to do a comparison.

Given that it's rare for me to be even to _tolerate_ oud in a fragrance, the fact that I genuinely love this new offering from Rogue Perfumery speaks to how beautifully it's been made. The mixture of tobacco, bourbon, and just a little bit of oud (that becomes less dominant fairly quickly) make this smells pretty much like a genuine bourbon cask, and the liberal use of oakmoss (bless Manuel Cross, the imaginative parfumeur who loves this note!) makes this exceptionally smooth. I wouldn't wear this to work, because your boss might think you've been hitting the bottle given how realistic this is, but it would be a very, very nice thing to wear in the evening, except in the hottest weather. This comes across as a classy masculine fragrance, and it's really one of Cross's finest perfumes. I kept wanting to smell myself for as long as this lasted because it was so wonderful.

Calling it now, this is my best pickup of 2025. Perhaps even over the past year or two. Not overly complex. What you see is what you get. I get the image of the 70's, wearing an oakmoss fragrance and before opening hours walking into a gentleman's room where they smoke cigars and drink whiskey. You can smell the wooden furniture and bar tops that have endured years of whiskey being spilled on them. An early patron in the corner lit a cigar and you can smell the smoke and tobacco. There's a quiet confidence factor with this fragrance. It doesn't shout. You wear this for you, but when someone catches the scent in the air it is quite beautiful. This is long lasting, at least 12+ hours on skin. Wish I bought the biggest bottle!!

Bonded starts off with a nice boozy note that doesn't stick around too long. It quickly moves into the heart of the fragrance, where oakmoss and tobacco really shine together. The oud is very subtle, so even if you're not usually a fan, don't let that stop you from giving this a shot. This one feels like a bit of a shift from Rogue Perfumery’s usual style, but they still manage to keep that slightly classic vibe in the mix, even with the more modern edge. Performance is solid, but, definitely not beast mode, which I actually like.

An awesome tobacco but still does not dethrown the king of this house: Mousse Illuminee. Absolutely beautiful fragrance. It's very manly, but there is this blanketed soft side to it as well. It's hard to explain, but it undeniably has that Rogue DNA. The tobacco in this is so well done it's unreal. Makes me feel like Tom Selleck or Clint Eastwood. Definitely get a sample if you can.

This is one of the most well blended scents I’ve put on my skin. Peak quality in every way. I associate it with tabac vert especially the midpoint I find them hitting the same note this leaning more towards tobacco ever so slightly while TV leans towards the mosses. But they’re like fraternal twins to me.

Yeah, definitely one of the best tobacco fragrances I've ever smelt.. It's so smooth and elegant, just like most of the fragrances from this house.. Absolutely wonderful, I'm glad I grabbed the larger bottle.. 9/10 for me!

This is like Single Malt by Kilian but better and stronger. It’s like walking in a bourbon warehouse at Buffalo Trace. Smelling the oak, bourbon, mustiness and sweetness of the sugars on the aged barrels.

Bonded is so good that I wished there would be more cooler months here in New Orleans where I live. It is a sad day when the weather turns too warm to sport this fragrance. It is that good!

Another masculine masterpiece from Rogue! Got it two days ago and cannot stop wearing it. It is a classy version of Layton. Lighter, wearable and intoxicating. Amazing!

Photorealistic boozy whiskey opening. Drydown is pure dry tobacco and oakmoss. Another 10/10 from Mr. Cross.

Should have known rollerball samples would be far worse than bad atomizers. Bonded looks like just the type of fragrance that I'd be very interested in: tobacco, whiskey and oud (and moss but that's whatever). I wore it yesterday and I really liked it, as it stands I think I might buy a bottle but I think I'll go through a few more wears first. The opening smells intensely patchouli (?) forward to my nose, to the point it smells like olives from time to time. I'm unsure if it is patchouli or the moss in combination with the woodiness of the fragrance (more on that later) giving off this smell, because it's missing the textural thickness a patchouli of this style should have. Bonded is also an intensely woody scent, but it's definitely more of a cedarwood heavy scent instead of an oudy one. I can see how this could create the impression of oud when smelling it up close, but given the price of the fragrance it's unlikely this uses oud in non-insignificant amounts instead of an oud accord. Lastly, the tobacco and an alcohol-free, whiskey-like sweetness round out the cedar-moss base. As it dries down Bonded develops a softer, almost powdery sweetness that greatly reminds me of carnation, before ultimately drying down until disappearing off the skin in an ozonic, aftershave-like way. Bonded smells very masculine and composed and, like most other Rogues, has a vintage touch that'll resonate with your olfactory memory of the fragrances your father/grandfather wear or used to wear, but nevertheless does not come across outdated overall. While not super cheap I think it's incredible value at 30 ml/$85 or 75ml/$156

Wow. This is a very nice tobbaco/oakmoss/whiskey scent. Very nice and very raw tobacco. I know there are a plethora of "Sweet Tobacco" fragrances, forming a genre all its own. But the "Sweet" accord is so subsumed underneath everything else in this composition, it doesn't really qualify as a Sweet Tobacco overall. The Sweetness is hinted at. I would even rearrange the accord listing at the bottom of the stack to move "Sweet" down to the bottom and "Whiskey" just above it. Bonded works great as it is, but having a sweet nostril as I do, I would rather have a nice dense and chewey and sweet dried fruits note plopped down into this Bonded bed of earthy tobacco and oakmoss. That's the big difference between Bonded and Michael for Men by Michael Kors, of which I have two bottles. Michael has that dried fruits note. With those adjustments, an already great Bonded would be even more wearable. In the drydown, I sprayed a bit of Dua's Plum Brandy scent on my hand to add a touch of fruity sweetness, and the combo was beautiful. In addition to the green earthiness, there is also some of that "smoky depth of Vietnamese agarwood that weaves through the heart" that the brand brags about. And although the brand says "Tobacco adds a final touch", its more accurate to say tobacco is the star of the show. Full-bottle worthy, just after I buy a bottle of Targhee Forest to join my collection of Rogue Perfumery fragrances. The fougères - Bon Monsieur and Fougere L'Aube remain supreme. Bonded is excellent.

At the outset, this fragrance is predominantly tobacco-oriented, and it is not an overtly intricate scent profile. It starts off with a prominent tobacco note, complemented by a subtle hint of a whisky note. The tobacco note is executed in a manner similar to Initio’s rehab, albeit with a variation in how the overall scent profile evolves. The whisky accord typically lasts for about half an hour or so. As it gradually dissipates, the oakmoss rogue is famous for, intensifies, accentuating the tobacco note. Once the initial opening has subsided, the tobacco and oakmoss blend harmoniously, with the oud note gradually gaining prominence in the base. It is not done in an overtly animalic manner here, and is mostly just woody. This is how composition of the fragrance remains throughout the rest of its duration. This is a moderate projector, and surprisingly, I don’t get great longevity out of it either, considering the nature of notes at play here. It lasts on my skin for approximately six hours, at most. Overall, the quality of fragrance and its blend is well done, making it worth considering for those that appreciate tobacco fragrances. However, I strongly recommend testing the performance on one’s skin before making a purchase.

I received a generous sample of "Bonded" and "Champs Lunaires" with my recent full bottle x 75ml purchase of "Tuberose & Moss." As an aside, I might like Champs Lunaires more than I like Tuberose & Moss. I do not like gender categorizing fragrances, nor do I focus on "seasonal" stuff (summer, winter, etc, etc). I say (and I follow), "Wear what you love, when you want to." With that said, "Bonded" is a straight up, boozy, tobacco, aged oak barrel fragrance. A nice enough fragrance but nothing I can see myself (as a woman) ever wearing. I think the whiskey-bourbon barrel thing is just not my jam. In my recent past, I went through my woody-boozy-amber-tobacco-smoky-oud phase. I own and LOVE Amouage "Portrayal Woman." And I own, wear and adore Profumum Roma "Ambra Aurea,"which I have to be in the right mood for. Another great perfume from Manuel Cross. Just not my style.

The perfumer writes of bourbon, but as a huge bourbon fan, this perfume reads more like an Islay single malt. I'm sure that has a lot to do with the moss, which to me is a bit like the smoky/bandaid/earthy note you get from a heavily peated whisky. I don't get sweet oak, caramel, or cherry like I would expect from a bourbon fragrance. Go in expecting Lagavulin and not Woodford Reserve. Thumbs up. But, the same as in a glass, I would have preferred bourbon.

The comparisons to other Rogue fragrances are bizarre - it smells nothing like any of them. The dry down to me smells like a more refined version of Aramis Tobacco Reserve, which is great because that one is discontinued.

Very well blended and definitely quality, and I'm a big fan of older and masculine fragrances but my brain wants to associate it with original Listerine. Sorry if I ruined it for some.

To me this is similar to Chatillon Lux Weinstrasse. Boozy oakmoss, clean and dirty at the same time. Almost smells like red wine to me. Syrupy sweetness buried in there. A bit too medicinal and pungent. I wouldn’t compare this to Mousse Illuminee, not even close. The wearing experience of that one is much better. 7.2/10

Bonded refers to a special class of bourbon (100 proof, from a single distillery & season, aged at least 4 years). So then, how suited a name for such an exceptional, whisky-led scent. All four listed notes are fully present in sublime incarnation, starting with a sweet tang of bourbon at the opening, Next, in the heart, earthy, green oakmoss and leathery, honeyed tobacco elaborately intertwine. The dry dust of smoked agarwood smoulders warmly below, with the oud's barnyard and blue cheese aspects resting peaceably at the edge of perception; notable, but subliminally refined. I need to be in the right mood to appreciate such whisky and tobacco blends, (I suppose that's true for everything), ...but when I am, this will be one I shall return to again.

Mann this fragrance is a warm, smoky unisex fragrance with a refined blend of whiskey, oakmoss, and soft tobacco. It opens boldly but settles into a smooth, elegant woody scent that feels classic and sophisticated. Great for evenings or cooler weather, it projects confidence without being loud. Longevity is moderate, leaning closer to a skin scent over time. Perfect for anyone who enjoys deep, atmospheric, niche-style perfumes.

Throwback to the more masculine old smokey batches of Aventus, the similarities are unmistakable. Bonded portrays a unique whiskey note...a scotch whiskey with emphasis on the smokey characteristics rather than the alcohol. Get past the aggressive opening and it dries down into a beautiful modern winter masterpiece. Top 3 from Manuel’s creations for me.

This is a MAN'S man fragrance. BIG oakmoss, BIG tobacco, nice whisky opening that fades after about an hour or so.

Is it me or does this smell almost identical to original Polo green in the drydown? Im liking this a lot
