Tabac Vert

I'm on my second day of testing Rogue Perfumery products. Tabac Vert (Green Tobacco) is an exceptionally beautiful and wearable perfume - however it is by no means purely 'masculine'. In fact, it's perfectly unisex, even leaning feminine (we'll get to that). I have several tobacco fragrances (Diptyque Volutes EDP, Jacques Zolty Cubata, and a decant of TF Tobacco Vanille [old formula]). In comparison to them, Tabac Vert is very different from Tobacco Vanille (because it is neither sweet nor sticky), but also from Cubata on the other end of the spectrum - namely, Cubata features a very strong, raw and realistic scent of dried tobacco leaves, while Tabac Vert is much milder. So, this brings us to Volutes, and I'd say that Tabac Vert does resemble Volutes, because the scent of tobacco leaves is paired with powdery flowers and sweet spices. I would even go as far as to say that in Tabac Vert carnation and rose actually emerge as stronger notes than tobacco and oakmoss, especially because they are perfectly aided by amber and spices. At some point I was even reminded of Rochas Tocade! The point that I'm trying to make is that one should never take for granted marketing blurbs and gender tags. I'd be perfectly happy to wear Tabac Vert on a daily basis, and I'd never label it as a purely masculine scent. I'd also classify it as a green powdery floral, and not as a woody chypre. As to its performance on my skin, the initial projection is strong, but soon it settles into a beautiful intimate scent. It lasts about 6 hours, which is okay, given its reasonable price and the lack of synthetic gunk that would have resulted in longer duration.

The tobacco note is right there at the opening and it is a brilliant mimicking a Cuban cigar like a montcristo #2 habana. The real deal and not some cheap knock off you bought at an overseas bizarre market. Ummm Nectar of the God's. fresh fragrances like this one with all natural lusciousness . In the mid the tobacco steps back and the rose comes more to the foreIgront with a touch of moss .I am in love with this! A Chypre that lends itself more to the masculine side without over doing it on the addition of floral notes. Manny Cross has assured us with his blending techniques that he intends to orchestrate the notes in such a way as to carry us along on a mesmerizing journey in which each part melds so well into the next like a theme and development likened to a work of olfactory excellence. A Luscious tobacco, woody, floral symphony where each note and theme builds to a crescendo within the structure without being out of balance until the journey subsides and the movement decrescendo's into a beautiful finale of amber residue with sandalwood .This is possibly my favorite fragrance from Rogue and it is a completely versatile fragrance blind buy worthy. I hope others find the same happiness from this fragrance that I do. 10/10 for me

This is an absolutely beautifully composed fragrance. I don't know if it's actually meant to be for men or not, but when considering the conventional ideas of fragrances that are "feminine" or "masculine" I find it more feminine due to its powderiness and floralcy. It smells vintage-inspired and not dated whatsoever. I say "vintage-inspired" because it doesn't smell vintage. It's it's own creation, entirely modern, but with a twinkle of vintage, if that makes any sense? I don't feel this belongs in the "modern-vintage" category because fragrances in that category seem like they are deliberately trying to smell vintage or wish to take the place of vintages. I get a marvelously supple, powdery tobacco and warm, springy oakmoss at first. The florals here seem well-blended because I can't pinpoint them, but they add up to a scent that is so delicate and innocent, becoming more prominent in the drydown. Tabac Vert is very naturalistic, taking me to the outdoors. At the same time it's also wonderfully refined. I picture a very sweet, lady-like young woman who likes to read books in trees. It's a free-spirited and intellectual fragrance. This is my absolute favorite from Rogue.

I wanted to write a second review of this because I bought a full bottle in the fall; I bought the 30 ml., and I wish I had bought the 60 ml. because I'm running through this one fast. This is unlike just about any tobacco fragrance I've ever bought in that the tobacco is unsweetened and comes across when blended with all the oakmoss as very vegetal (it must be a very green tobacco), and also combines so beautifully with the carnation and the rose. This comes across as a very distinguished and dashing 40s masculine fragrance, and the evocations this brings of Chandler's Philip Marlowe and of Humphrey Bogart in his more dashing roles (one of which of course was Marlowe) seem very apt. I am a huge fan of green chypres, but this one leans more masculine than many of my other favorites, including Cabochard and Dryad: this is of course not to say a woman could not wear this beautifully (she would come across as a Bacall rather than a Bogart).

Now this is a scent I could imagine Humphrey Bogart would have worn in that movie Casablanca. It has a charming enigmatic old world sophistication vibe. Just like you have walked out of a classy barbershop in the 1940's. It opens up with a mentholated bergamot which is soon followed by oakmoss and a slightly honeyed green tobacco. As time moves towards the heart the florals appear right on cue adding a sensual depth to the green moss and tobacco. As we move towards the base after many hours, cedar and sandalwood become more apparent. All these soft spicy notes are wrapped up in a lovely shaving cream and slight talc accord. And this is the most complex one I have smelled from Rogue. The quality of the ingredients are most impressive and this smells very lovely and is easy to wear. If you are tired of modern synthetic shallow chemical fragrances and want to smell like a refined old school gentlemen then this is your scent. Wonderful!

Not the tobacco fragrance I’m accustomed to. Maybe it’s a green tobacco not you’re dark, rich, Ashy tobacco. The opening can come across a bit skanky but after 30 min or so the fragrance settles into a nice, unique scent. I get real good performance picking up whiffs throughout the day. Not sure I’d spray on clothes; first off there is no need to because those around you will smell it, and secondly you might never get it off unless you wash it ie; sweater, coat, garments you typically don’t wash after each wear. I received a sample with my purchase from this house. I went ahead to get his sample box of all fragrances from Rogue. I like fragrances that smell good and last all day and this house seems to provide just that. I give this a 9/10 rating with it on my (need to buy) list!

Wait for the first 15 minutes to mellow and you’ll be rewarded with a beautiful aromatic green scent, with dried petals and light spices becoming powdery soft. The tobacco note is expertly blended. Linear after the brief opening, becoming versatile and easy to wear, nothing synthetic pops out. Lasts a good 3-4 hours in cold weather. I have not worn Tabac Vert in warm weather, but I think it would work except in very hot weather. Don’t expect monster projection with this beauty. The only thing I don’t like is the “for men” label. Anyone, any age can wear it. Rogue is one of my favorite brands. This is my 5th purchase, and I’m still pining for Ishtar. If you are not familiar with the brand, Rogue’s discovery sets can be found on Etsy at a reasonable price.

Manuel Cross does chypres like nobody's business, and part of that is because he uses real oakmoss, which IFRA has banned for the last 13 years or so (a bigger part of it, though, is that he is such a damned smart perfumer). Two of his other chypres, Chypre-Siam and Flora & Fauna, grabbed me much more quickly than this did, largely because the pungent smell of tobacco usually does not appeal to me unless it is mixed with something sweet. The carnation adds spiciness, though, and the bergamot adds a juiciness that makes the tobacco smell very green to me--it seems like such an unusual accord. This scent leans masculine and older to me, and it might be hard to wear to the office, but I keep returning to it. Oh, that genuine oakmoss!

I had a sample of this and I was belting through it rather rapidly. But something quite nightmarish has happened. I seem to have misplaced my sample. At best I've been uprooting and unclothing furniture to see if it had fallen underneath something. Worst case scenario it has been washed in the pocket of one of my pants. Either way I am upset about it being gone because I've been craving to wear it for weeks. All I can say is what an awesome, awesome soapy tobacco fragrance from Rogue Perfumery. I have Aramis Havana and from what I can remember the opening of this clearly reminds me of the Aramis. But Tabac Vert smelled much more developed and rich in comparison to the Aramis. I will finalize my thoughts when my bottle arrives!

Dry, powdery tobacco supported by flowers. Unapologetically masculine, vintage and natural. The dry tobacco jumps off my skin but it's not sharp in the least. Very rounded and well-blended. This scent time-warped me back to my Italian grandfather and his 70s/80s scents. He wore a scent from Italy that I cannot recall that he always brought back with him that must have smelled very similar because this instantly evoked him in my mind. Longevity is excellent at 7-9 hours with moderate projection for a few hours. An 8.25/10 for me. Hard to separate the associations with my late grandfather but, objectively, I think it's super well made, as are all of Rogue's scents.

I love everything made by this house. I've been going through my samples and wore Tabac Vert for the first time today. It opens very green but does, as others have mentioned, become rather soapy after a bit. However, it's like a soap that you would pay 30 bucks for...very classy smelling. I put this on after my shower this morning at 8:00 am...it's now 9:00 at night and I can still smell it on my arm. And this is from a dauber, not a spray! I can only imagine the beastly performance if I'd sprayed it on. I've already bought three Rogue fragrances and I will also definitely be buying a full bottle of this one.

Reminiscent of the past, with an undeniable classic vibe but make no mistake, this doesn't feel dated for one second! Tabac Vert is in fact a really exciting fragrance and, like some other Rogues I tried, sketches highly realistic imagery. The blend feels quite natural and fresh. Love how the pepper and oakmoss compliment the tobacco note and hold their own once the latter inevitably fades. The oakmoss this house uses is just wonderful! I find Tabac Vert highly wearable year round, quiet in projection but long lasting. It all adds up to making it FB candidate for me.

Damn! I was skeptical before trying Tabac Vert (Mousse Illuminee was a disappointment), but this is something else altogether -- original yet familiar, vibrant yet composed, green yet warm. I love Manuel's Tabac Vert! Its fresh opening is a relief from the density of other tobacco-themed fragrances. Its floral compositions are a beautiful complement to the more forward oakmoss/tobacco/lime. I find Tabac Vert uplifting and reassuring, one of those "everything will be alright" scents that fine perfumes sometimes achieve. What a delight!

If I wanted to conjure up some backbone, this would provide it. It's a huge tobacco-laden chypre with a peppery aspect to it; potency incarnate & the most kick-ass vibe of any perfume I've encountered. After half an hour an alchemical shift takes place and the dark, earthy potency is juxtaposed against a sweet, green floral note which creates a perfect balance of yin and yang energies. It's a masterpiece anyone can wear. Distillation: a Rogue masterpiece perfect balance of yin yang both bitter and sweet

This fragrance opens with an elegant, dry tobacco—a note that feels both masculine and deeply assured. As it evolves, it transitions into a green, woody oakmoss base, grounded by a spicy backbone and energized by a bright flash of citrus. While the tobacco remains discernible throughout, it eventually settles into a refined, airy woodiness reminiscent of Bois Impérial. It is a sophisticated gentleman’s scent, perfectly balanced for the transitional crispness of both spring and fall.

“I was wearing my powder-blue suit... I was neat, clean, shaved and sober, and I didn’t care who knew it. I was everything the well-dressed private detective ought to be.” This is absolutely what you would say were you Philip Marlowe having just sprayed some Tabac Vert and ready to meet with your high-paying, high-heeled client. A super classy clean chypre that would be the perfect signature scent for any refined tough guy and well suited to business or pleasure.

A sophisticated dry tobacco fragrance with a heavy dose of oakmoss pepper, clove like Carnation beautiful sandalwood and a very soapy and masculine style musk. This is tobacco done right. So many tobacco fragrances today are drowning in fruity notes and vanilla. Not here. This is the scent for a very sophisticated and posh gentleman. A fragrance for that special night out. Very elegant and distinguished. A classy old world tobacco. Floral, peppery and dry.

A well blended powdery soapy green tobacco covered in a gigantic blanket of Oakmoss and florals with just the right balance of smoothness and gruffness. It smells like something Rick Deckard would wear in Blade Runner. It's noir in a bottle. Lasts an eyewatering 15+ hours on my skin, projects more than 6 feet for an hour and a half with just two sprays. Easily one of my favorites from Rogue Perfumery.

I love this thing. Just such reliable class. When everything feels a bit unstable and you wake up thinking wtf is this annoying ass world I’m living in? Just utter nonsense if not terrifying stupidity and cruelty. This will put you back together and keep you clear headed and composed. It inspires me to never react just be. This is what dignity smells like to me

This one is a masterpiece! So original, beautiful, strong, masculine. This scent is such a pleasure to weat! I have most of the scents listed here as reminding of Tabac Vert and none come close to the scent. BTW, do get Monsillage Aviantion Club as it is not only the closest to this one but another masterpiece (I own four bottles in case it gets discontinued).

I have written a review before maybe even a few This is another true masterpiece from Cross I have now had this scent for 6 years and is part of my rotation when i want to feel classic, gentlemanly, original. It is radiant and unbelievable, so unique. Very potent. Not for all at it has a very old school astringent smell.

A more subdued and refined version of Polo Green. I like this a lot more and Polo Green is one of my most nostalgic fragrances. Great traditional scent although not boundary pushing. I enjoy the more floral approach to this type of perfume :)

Opening is okayyyy but as it dries down...! Wow. I love how dry it gets. It’s so dry and powdery! This fragrance has really grown on me. It really took me on a wild ride. I think I need to buy it. My poor bank account RIP.

Like a green version of Creed's Vintage Tabarome. Very strong and will come across as vintage/old fashioned to a lot of people, but they don't like these kinds of fragrances anyway.

Nice fragrance, but a warning for buyers: the bottle is not airtight, and I got 30% of the juice that has evaporated in just 2-3 years...

Cold, green chypre with a beautiful pipe tobacco. Fantastic quality.

Everything from Rogue Perfumery is 10/10! Long live Manuel Cross.

Continuing through my Rogue sampler, this opens more conventionally than any Rogue I've tried yet. For once we have a Rogue doesn't come on like Charles Mingus writing for some olfactory orchestra (not that I ever mind that). It's very nice, for sure. First impression: basically it's exactly what the name says, tobacco and creamy green freshness, although, as with the other Rogues I've tried, it's extremely well blended, and if the name hadn't told me what's in it I might have a hard time picking it out. As it is, I like the scent of tobacco, and I especially like the scent of the tobacco note in this, it's crisp but understated and very nice. I think maybe with this one Manuel Cross was going for his own (glorious, natch) take on a very conventional aftershave scent. If I walked out of the barber shop smelling like this, I'd probably say, "Boy, whatever that barber uses smells fantastic." Is that what I want from an art fragrance? I don't know. But it is very nice. Just a few minutes in: oh, this thing is blooming on my skin. That Mingus-y orchestral thing is stirring below the surface. Yep, it's a Rogue, after all. Is there a little ginger in there? There's also a hint of that aroma I've occasionally referred to before as "daipery" (perhaps it's the scent they use in Pampers? Or maybe it's just indolic), but in this case it's actually blended in so well it's not as unpleasant as I usually find it. I had a friend, Chris Hume, a gifted musical prodigy. When I was taking first year counterpoint, after the rest of the class had come up to the board and shown how they tackled the homework problems, Hume was the kid who Prof. Hagen always called on to show everyone how it's really done. I have a feeling Manuel Cross was that kid in the perfumery class, or however it is that they learn these things. He's gotta be some sort of savant. I feel like I'm floating on a celestial cloud of Barbasol and Clubman. This is so old-school yet so well-executed, I bet today's ironic hipsters could rock it. (Are kids still ironic? Or has that whole thing passed?) A half hour later: I smell wood. Cedar? Another half hour: This is the cologne Paco Rabanne Pour Homme wants to be. And I like PRPH. Also, there's no mistaking it, there's definitely a note of cedar in there now. My uncle Morty left me a vintage Harris Tweed overcoat. I could wear this with that. Besides that? Very nice, but, probably not for me, but only because I myself wouldn't pay niche fragrance prices for even the world's best barbershop scent. It's kind of like the idea of paying boutique prices for a top-quality, artisan-made plain white t-shirt. I'm not going to do that. I don't judge it, but I'm never doing it. A couple of short hours later, I noticed it was gone without a trace, completely disappeared, as if it never had been. Maybe it was all a dream.

The classiest soap scent I might’ve ever smelled in my life. Opens green, dry, spicy, floral, and slightly powdery with a wonderful blending of carnation and leafy tobacco with rose water and slight citric nuances. As it dries, Rogue’s staple note of heavenly, slightly soapy moss mixes with powdery and woody sandalwood and the tobacco and carnation to form a very dry, clean, woody, floral, and slightly sweet tobacco ivory soap like accord. Totally agree with the reviewer below me, opens super dry, rich, and thick with that wonderful tobacco, carnation, and oakmoss combo. Even with this richness though, it remains very clean and easy to wear in the opening, probably due to the dry powdery-ness of the scent. As it dries down, it leans more into the soapy aspect of the opening, but not like the shower gel freshie all to prevalent in todays fragrance market, but a dry and freshly unboxed bar of soap. If you ever wanted to smell like a classy bar of soap, this might your holy grail. Classically masculine composition, but wear what you want. Any temperate weather, any daytime situation besides the gym. Very very strong like, time will tell if this turns into a love. Very potent projection for the first 3-4 hours and good lasting power. 8.8/10. Signature scent worthy Song vibe - Listen to the Music by the Doobie Brothers

Tabac Vert (Green tobacco) is not what I'd call a strong tobacco fragrance. If you're looking to be rolling in pipe tobacco, you won't find that with Tabac Vert. To me, Tabac Vert is an awesome blend - yes, there's dry tobacco, but well blended with other notes which results in a vintage style, masculine fragrance. After the initial blast of bergamont, the mix of dry tobacco and cedar appear with a slightly dirty touch. It isn't sour but comes across smooth with no rough edges. I suspect the sandalwood and amber round it out this way. The oakmoss then appears in just the right amount, giving it a masculine and vintage feel. Overall, Mr. Cross has a real winner here that strikes me as very versatile, working in most occasions throughout the year. If you're more of a freshie guy in hot weather, Tabac Vert would still work for you for a night out on a warm summer evening. Longevity is quite good - I got at least 10 hours out of it and it seems to be eternal on clothes. Projection is more moderate. Tabac Vert is a class act and won't overwhelm. I'm putting it on my shopping list.

Hmmm very interesting. I don’t know how to describe it other than to say this is nice, different and I have never smelled anything like it. This is a case of you need to try it and see if you like it because I have nothing else to compare this to, which is always nice. I am getting mostly a spicy, soapy floral. This feels old fashioned, in a good way. Since fragrances are subjective I have to say I disagree with the assessments that indicate this is similar to Polo Green. I don’t think this has any resemblance to that particular fragrance. To my nose Mousse Illuminee is in the same neighborhood as Green. It has a similar pine profile. At the end of the day this is a nice soapy masculine leaning floral. No white, yellow, or rose notes in sight. I don’t like the first two and I am burnt out on the last one. This is very nice. And you won’t smell like everyone else. I get ten hours of solid projection then it settles down. It is still detectable after 24 hours

Spicy, slightly sweet warm florals sitting on a bed of moss. The tobacco doesn't reveal itself on my skin until the drydown but when I do finally get it, it's good. The sandalwood smooths the whole thing out. I think this and Mousse Iluminee have the highest concentration of moss from what I've tried from the house. Moss is very obvious here and I love it. Carnation gives it a kick and keeps it from going full green. Is this a tobacco scent? Kinda. I feel like tobacco is not the main player here. Performance is solid but not beastly like MI from the same house. This does have a vintage feeling because of the natural carnation and oakmoss so may not be suitable for young bubble gum or tonka noses. Scent 7.6/10 Performance 7.3/10

Tabac Vert is a very fine, slightly sensual fragrance in the sense of the woodsy, aromatic tobacco that comes through very, very nicely. It touches the heavy Oakmoss that evokes a wonderful mossy place in a dream world like the woods of the Redwoods Forest in CA. Well done, opulent in an understated way, it's class in a bottle. Refined, gentlemanly, regal. Longevity is an easy 8 to 10 hours, sillage is about 2 to 4 feet; but when the wind blows, you'll get waifs across the room. No other fragrance I have and I've quite a few, compares. Maybe, maybe, a slight resemblance to the very hard to find Perry Ellis Cologne 1985 in the round bottle, but that's about it. Well done, Mr. Cross.

I love Manny’s creations. Some of them border on TOO MUCH(Rogue 40, Flos Mortis) but that’s part of their charm: after all, this is the very character that the IFRA is busy stripping away from modern perfumery. Tabac Vert has some bracing aspects in the opening though it is actually quite gentle and refined for a masculine tobacco frag. As Ave Parfum notes Manny nods to the classics while keeping things in the here and now. Vegas Pauli, I think your connection to Clinique’s Aromatics Elixer is in the Rose/carnation/moss aspect(minus the tobacco and pepper). BUT there was a masculine version of AE. Aramis 900!!! It’s wonderful. Same perfumer, same dna but greener and more herbal.

Tabac Vert, like all Rogue Perfumery's scents, is intentionally retro, recalling Old Hollywood and classic glamour. A flash of sharp green galbanum-and-aldehydes, a rich grimy slug of oakmoss, a funky, animalic, yet warm tobacco -- boy does it satisfy. It's totally dry, without the least bit of sweetness. There's the same elegant swagger and bite I remember from Chypre-Siam -- Rogue probably uses the same oakmoss base everywhere --except in Tabac Vert it's enriched with warm brown tobacco. Gradually it fades to ash and even darker oakmoss. It's a masculine -- we're meant to think of Bogart with a cigar -- but it's not bad at all on a woman.

Mossy tobacco. Fizzy bergamot and pepper opening make it pop, with a gentle mentholic accord that many Rogue fragrances have. Quickly dries down to a faintly damp, sweet pipe tobacco, a big dose of oakmoss, and some warm spices lightly dusted over the top which I guess is where some people are calling it powdery. Linear from there, though. Moderate projection for ~2hr, longevity 5-6hr with the roller ball sample. I like it more than Derviche, Rogue's other highly tobacco fragrance, but tobacco-forward scents just aren't my jam.

Probably my favorite Rogue fragrance. It shows warm tobacco leaves and oakmoss in the opening and dried down to sandalwood, tobacco, and amber in the base notes. While there is no clear leather note, this has a hint of leather feel to it, as well. Probably best used in the cooler months, but could work year-round. While technically unisex, the tobacco and leather vibes create a very masculine cigar lounge feel. Well done and it doesn't really remind me of any other scent I have tested or sampled.

This is hot. Has the same cloying, sweet amber/tobacco as Derviche, but toned down and much more harmonious. And instead of that disgusting, chemical, powdery vanillac compound they used in Derviche, we get a natural oakmoss and carnation accord with a peppery, rosey nuance. This is good stuff. Green tobacco. Unfortunately, only lasts about an hour before it becomes overtly green, soapy and powdery. The chypre opening is where it's at, then it becomes a barbershop aftershave.

Green and mossy and kind of a throwback to old school mens fragrances. This might be a bit of a stretch but maybe if Clinique Aromatics had a mens version back in the 80s it could smell like this. But do not let my initial description scare you, in spite of the green, soapy, mossy and tobacco notes, this is light, fresh and easy to wear with just a tiny speck of spice to make things interesting. This is an old school recipe modernized for todays market. Thumbs up.

Starts with a clean, incense-y mix of tabacco, oakmoss, and sandalwood. Very nice and rich to start, eventually softens quite a bit, and loses a lot of the richness. It becomes almost soapy with the oakmoss and carnation notes, someone said it prior, but it reminds me of ivory soap, with a hint of something more. Pleasant, and well composed!

Chypre with powdery, honeyed, green-floral tobacco. This is certainly bracing at the outset, but also just a tad bit harsh in an almost dusty sort of way. Soapy musks, creamy sandalwood, and powerful oakmoss really shine in the base. Vintage masculine. 7.5/10

Tabac Vert is floral, mossy with a hint of tobacco. I get an old-school, soapy vibe from this fragrance. This one will not be everyone's cup of tea. However, I think it's well done. Oh, BTW, very good performance.

I think this is a wonderful fragrance, but i would never see myself wearing as it is too floral-forward. If you're into floral masculine fragrances, go nuts

My complaint of tobacco-forward scents is that they almost always end up too honey-sweet on my skin. Tabac Vert never does that. Instead, it is mix of softly spicy oakmoss and tobacco, a vintage barbershop concoction that pokes a memory that I don't think actually belongs to me. It gently suds into soap, which I typically despise, but I don't mind the soapiness of this. This one is so nostalgic, and so trustworthy. I would really love to smell this on someone else, as it is a little masculine for my taste.

Tabac Vert reminded me of baby powder with a touch of a floral note. In the dry down I kinda sorta sensed the Tobacco, but by then it was rather faint. Not awful, but not what I had hoped for. However, this could work for those that want a dry tobacco scent with subtle nuances. Regarding the use of Oakmoss by Rogue, Moussee Illuminee exhibits that note wonderfully for me. TV may have that same Oakmoss, but I did not sense it in my sample like I could with MI. Hence of the 2, only MI is on my buy list.

Rogue Perfumery crafts quality scents. This leans floral and unisex. A very pleasant fragrance with strong performance. If I had larger resources or a smaller collection, I'd buy a bottle. Since I have neither, it's a pass. Other offerings from RP are more to my liking.

Pleasant slightly cloying most definitely unisex sweet bergamot rose carnation. Fairly linear. If you like this but want to smell masculine then Tom Ford For Men is a masculine spicy version of this and far more enjoyable. 6.75/10

I actually bought and owned this one - for about an hour. I liked the opening tobacco-chypre notes and based on that, made a purchase. About an hour later, however, in the car, I noticed that it had turned to a sickening, overpowering soapiness on my skin. No, no, no. So back it went to The Scent Bar in West Hollywood, to be exchanged for Parfums de Nicolai New York Extreme.

Pure mentholated chewing tobacco. Not a fan
