Amore Mio

This is really beautiful stuff. I sampled this at a shop recently, and as luck would have it, they had it on sale 30% off. I didn't hesitate, I snapped up a bottle. It reminds me a bit of Amouage Reflection. Very smooth and powdery with prominent orris root, sandalwood, and white florals, but with the addition of cocoa, vanilla, tonka, almond-like heliotrope, and a little booziness. This one isn't a heavy vanilla bomb like Roja's Enigma, it's softer, dryer, more powdery, but still firmly in the realm of the gourmand. There are some fruity notes in the opening, but they're quite subtle. Performance-wise, this is very good. It lasts all day and very possibly well into the next. Lasts forever on clothes. Sillage isn't monstrous, it sits a little closer to the skin than something like Enigma, but people will definitely smell you. The big issue with Roja fragrances, of course, is always going to be the price, especially with his extrait strength fragrances, so this one is tough to rate. I would say, if you're in the bracket where you can afford to buy something like this, you can't go wrong with Amore Mio. It's an absolutely lovely, sophisticated, sexy scent that I really can't imagine anyone disliking.

I couldn't disagree more with the other reviews here. This is one of Roja's BEST fragrances. He really needs to do more sweet, fruity and summer fragrances. And while I think this is one of his best, its still not as good as other floral fruities I love so much, like Narco Oasis from Narcotica, Al Rayhan from Attar Collection and even Trench - a rare niche-quality designer fragrance. I think that the reason there aren't many Roja Dove frags I would rate above a 7 out of 10 is because almost all of his feel like they're made for mature (old) people. I am barely 50.

The kind of scent you'd spray right onto your lips. This stuff is delicious. The only scent on the planet it might resemble is Britannia also by Roja. Great great stuff. Not powdery that i feel after diaghilev. just vanilla boozy awesomeness. The finest bottle of bourbon ever barrelled. definitely the longest lasting of the amore collection. i get 24 hrs no problemo. buy it don't sleep. you only live once

This a very soft gourmand scent, at least it starts like this. The first quite prominent note I get is chocolate/cocoa, that gradually transcends into a beautiful classy flowery aura. I must say its a rare one that isn't sweet either, maybe subtly resinous at first and moves into a sweet and woody territory. Definitely unisex with moderate slllage.

A massive wall of Roja Dove that I am sure is exquisitely, artfully constructed from the best ingredients in the world, but makes me feel too basic to deconstruct and also is very hard to really clearly delineate from the other two perfumes in the Profumi di Amore trio- aside from Eterno which clearly has a smokiness to it. I have all three and I do wish it was more of a legible story, beyond what Roja himself says about it--the flirtation, the new love, the commitment of love forever (or something like that). Maybe it's all present in poetic olfactory storytelling. Or maybe it's why the trio was discontinued as such. But for me its so nuanced, and honestly has such a huge wall of "ROJA DOVE" vibe about it (which honestly feels like old-opulence...heavy, deep, broadcast-y... its definitely not a "new luxury" type of scent). The cofrette of the three is absolutely amazingly beautiful and the craft is exquisite. It's like a treasure from another world. As a mid-30s professional man in New York, it's hard to imagine where I would wear any of these scents. The opulence and old-world luxury is something like a curiosity I am glad I have but don't think has any use. For me Luxury is something I can use everyday-- an un branded Napa calf doctors bag, a great pair of prada derbies with killer tread, a mysterious but chic, square gold Milanese watch.. Ive sprayed myself with this and gone to my partner and received an "Oh god what are you wearing" reaction, and I just apologized and said, "well, at least know that what you are smelling is very very expensive." Maybe it could be worn in discreet amounts, but it doesnt seem like thats the point. Certainly this type of conspicuous old luxury has its place in the world (BRIC countries, the ME... *cough* the Roja gulf collection *cough*), but as luxury consumption evolves fragrances like these continually become less and less relevant and become kind of trophy belongings, or curiosities, or ultimately just become undesirable at a certain point.

It smells IDENTICAL to the long discontinued Versace Versus Donna.

Not the best from Roja. At first spray, I love it! It’s a soft, fluffy, feathery impressionist portrait of one of my guilty pleasures – chocolate croissant with a mocha! Beautiful milky cocoa note mixed with powder, heliotrope, violet and orris. Roja certainly knows how to create otherworldly, supremely elegant gourmands. This could be a sister fragrance to Sweetie Oud, but instead of patisserie vibes I get café vibes. No coffee here though. As I said it’s more of an impression. The cocoa slowly dissipates, while the rest of the fragrance becomes rather bland. The whole concoction is almost entirely gone after 3 hours, and that’s after a few sprays. Typically I only spray perfume once. I’ll enjoy my travel spray in these cold months.

I wanted to love this, but it just wasn't doing enough for me. Cacao on the first spritz, and then a trail of florals and fruits. It's definitely made of high quality ingredients but it just has that "hmm, I think I'll pass" type

Amore Mio is so very multidimensional; imagine a gorgeous, luxurious bouquet of flowers; jasmine, heliotrope, roses, ylang, and imagine lovely orange blossom, citrus with a subtle cover of cocoa. ♥️ When you spray the perfume out you immediately get the cocoa, but just for a few minutes.. then it disappears and the sweet florals come to play with a hint of powdery orris - as hours and hours go by the powdery facet disappears and all there is left is sweetness. To my nose its almost a candylike sweetness - which is so very strange considering its so different when you spray it out! 💓 This is an olfactive journey for sure. This is like love - sweet and powdery, a pink cloud, like a dream. So very lovely.

The only good part of this for me is the drydown where there's an authentic cacao powder note that tastes gorgeously bitter. Other than that, the opening and the heart are extremely soapy in a cheap way that doesn't match the price point. I have a huge Roja collection but this one really doesn't match the quality of other Rojas that I tried and own. A pass for me.

This is for grownups - a "lux" gourmand fruity floral. But it completely transcends the genre due to an assertive resinous base. I can't think of anything like it. On paper it looks like "everything but kitchen sink", but the base keeps everything in check.

It's a variation of Ti Amo from the same house but sweeter and the chocolate is not the dominant too. Nothing more to say other than even this one doesn't worth it's price tag.
