Bergdorf Pour Femme

This is your standard rich lady floral. I see "new money" shopping on Rodeo Drive. Primarily a tuberose perfume with a green undercurrent in the form of lily of the valley and moss. Not overly sharp, I even get a bubblegum quality, albeit extremely subtle. With all the tropical flowers in it, it doesn't feel tropical but vintage-leaning and chic. I really think it contains natural tuberose because the tuberose jumps out at me as the biggest note, but it doesn't cause a headache. It's a bit sweet and creamy. The fragrance on the whole is a bit powdery, but very smooth, reminding me of orris root. I detect a touch of violet many hours after it dries down, along with a bit of creamy, sticky benzoin that acts as the glue to hold down all the heady flowers. For gardenia, perhaps look elsewhere. I love gardenia, having grown up for a time with gardenia bushes in my yard, but I only notice a gardenia quality in the first several minutes before it becomes tuberose-dominant. Considering I haven't smelled a good gardenia fragrance in about 15 years, the gardenia here is nice, despite it's short lifespan. After several hours when the floral notes have mostly dissipated, sandalwood becomes quite prominent and gives me incense vibes. Very pleasant, and although it's traditionally feminine, I actually would like to see the right man do some gender-bending with this one. It was made for Bergdorf's in Manhattan, yet it reminds me more of Southern California. Similar vibe to Giorgio Beverly Hills. Very beautiful fragrance that is totally full bottle worthy!

If you love Armani prive rouge malachite, and diptyque do son, you’d love this, the common factor being the tuberose, this is a wonderfully blended white floral,feminine,elegant sweet,demure yet grown and gorgeous. For a woman in her full feminine currents. It’s a powdery white floral, with equal amounts of both the powdery and the white floral aspects, perhaps that fragrance category is nothing groundbreaking but this is made with unmistakable quality ingredients, you can almost feel the flowers like they are present in the room. picture a heiress applying her makeup with a big bouquet of white flowers sitting on a white with gold finished vanity.This just screams Rich lady, born into wealth, making her own money, married into money.so wonderfully blended.I can see this being a beautiful bridal fragrance.This and roja 51.chefs kiss. My unbeaten favorite roja remains ahlam. Edit: Now that it’s macerated a bit more.there’s some sweet vanilla mid wear. Love love this.

This review is based on the limited dec 2023 release. It opens up with lots of floral and citrus notes and it stays like this for quite sometime however towards the dry down phase there is this very unique waxy like smell to it that could be from the gardenia or heliotrope notes. It is a very elegant & luxurious scent profile. It has this slight sweetness to it but it is predominately floral, but it does smell very expensive. Its really good and I would recommend giving it a try. Even with a mask on, the scent would waft and surprise me each time.

This perfume is a banger. It is warm, rich and heavy - not the best for super hot weather. This perfume is extremely sweet. This is a mature leaning fragrance. The animalistic, resin, amber notes take center stage. The vanilla and orange notes are also dominate. If you like Lost in Paris, this was a a great companion. All in all, glad it's in my collection.

Bergdorf pour Femme is a stunning natural feeling white floral fragrance. There’s zero sharp or screechy notes. I prodominatly sense the waxy gardenia which isn’t too lemony, the powdery heliotrope and the pastel greeness of the lily of the valley (which isn’t to foward, just a highlight) when I go back to smell my wrist, I pick up on the violet and orange blossom. There’s warmth and richness from the fantastic notes in the base. There is a sweetness but not from an addition of ethyl maltol. I love how Roja uses castoreoum. It’s not animalic or distracting. He uses just enough to create intimacy in the fragrance. Just enough so the scent melds with your chemistry and feels ‘made for you’ It makes the composition feel ‘alive’ Anyone nervous about the pink pepper, patchouli or olibanum (frankincense) don’t be. I don’t pick up on these at all so they are likely being used to highlight other notes. As Bergdorf warns on the skin and settles into the mids, the resin and woods notes really shine! The florals merge into a cream soda type of amber. It’s not sticky or dry, there’s a creamy and effervescent quality and texture that is so moorish, I keep smelling my wrist. I have an original 2014 bottle which is beautiful and has the printed Roja Dove signature rather than the cursive. Bergdorf feels and smells incredibly expensive, elegant and perfect for a floral lover looking for something that isn’t bombastic but will turn heads. (I can see the resemblance to Pure Poison but Bergdorf isn’t linear like pure poison and doing have the warm and depth that Bergdorf has. Pure Poison is the daughter, Bergdorf is the mother)
