Danger Pour Femme Essence De Parfum

Amazing, powdery but sophisticated, give it time! At first this was not a like for me, it just seemed a bit meh, I can’t even describe it, it was nice enough, but just not great. But after 10 mins it’s softened to a warm, soft, powdery and almost nutty scent. I get the baby powder/wipe reference, there is a touch of that, but it’s more vanilla, a bit nutty and floral than baby. It is very powdery, so avoid if you dislike powder. I don’t get major iris/violet vibes, there are much better frags if that’s what you’re after, same for Rose. It’s just a well blended soft floral. This smells almost gourmand for me, maybe a bit like eating an almond biscotti in a flower shop while sipping on a hazelnut latte. The flowers stop it being gourmand though. The more I wear it the more warm and a tad spicy it gets. It’s actually got a lovely dry down. Danger goes through so many stages on my skin, and all quite quickly. It’s a contender for the top spot, even though it’s quite unusual and interesting and not something I’d usually wear.(Edit, I looked it up and it’s a woody amber, so actually exactly my sort of frag lol). Along with 51 (which I bought) this is my favourite from the essences collection. It also has the biggest longevity (mainly due to the vanilla). I may buy this next! Edit: now I’m buying this one, the others are beautiful, but this one is different enough to warrant the price.

this opens with lemon, bergamot, vanilla and sandalwood. it reminds me of a more citrussy samsara. it's a powdery sandalwood from the beginning- just gorgeous. the citruses die off some and it becomes a sandalwood/vanilla mostly with some florals, particularly ylang ylang, iris and gardenia. i get hints of peach and clove as well. gorgeous 90s style perfume that's been a bit updated. i think this could work in many seasons as well.

This is really amazing. To me it’s an expensive vacation scent. It’s fresh but slightly powdery, can pick out Ylang and peach and jasmine well, the rest is there but terrifically blended. Danger has good longevity and leaves a trail, to me it’s feminine, not citrusy and not overpowering. A tip: try layering it with THOO Breath of the infinite...OMG to me this is how heaven would smell. Love.

This is beautiful & very sandalwood heavy to me. I have zero issues with sillage or longevity (with any in this new Essence line actually). My only issue is that it may be too reminiscent of vintage Samsara (I never wore that but I had someone semi close to me wearing that all the time so it gives me pause). Otherwise this is really pretty amazing imho. *I have the Essence sample set from Roja & this is my fav so far. Reckless was the only disappointment to me although I think that’s the one getting all the hype. It seems like the type of scent that would be great in this concentration but I think it’s way better in the parfum version.

I have the purple bottle and it smells great! Gives me the feeling of a lluxurious skinn lotion. Bought it at almost 50% discount so I'm happy with that, since I don't think I Would've bought it otherwise. It's a pretty scent, but not worth full price. At first it's ylang, citruses, vanilla, violet, tonka and sandalwood. Later in the middle and drydown the other notes such as peach and rose peaks through.

The opening to this is its grandest moment, though nothing about it even hints at danger. More like cruise ship vacation with all so much ylang.

A rare miss for me from Mr Bird. I just don't think it's a very good perfume. It doesn't excite me the same way even the most 'by the numbers' citrus fragrance from ROJA. It's opening smells a bit artisan, a bit, amateur. Sorry. Coincidentally I think it's a very nice opening in the sense of a resinous labdanum and citrus combination, it's balmy and mildly animalic almost myrrhesque? This doesn't last long (smelling that way anyway) and it's strange that it would manifest effectively as a top note. Curious that labdanum is not listed and it's softened with sweet vanillic accord tinged with coconut. Hate to moan about the name, but there's really no Danger here. When dried down It smells like a nutty sandalwood accord with the warmth of 'hot iron' in there also dryness of woody AC's. It smells like a much better version of me attempting to make a big amber perfume like a Shalimar crossed with trying to do a sandalwood like a Jicky, Samsara or mouchoir de monsieur. It's passable, but doesn't float my boat or particularly interest me.

Reviewing purple bottle from 2023. Danger was launched in 2021. Citrus floral fragrance. There is a lovely citrus blend opening with florals peeking through. Ylang ylang and rose mostly with the rest of the florals soft and difficult to distinguish. The orris then joins in adding a powdery feel. Well blended vanillic/ musk with a touch of spice join the fading florals and orris in the drydown. There is no sweetness or detectable fruitiness. This reminds me of Chanel No. 5 but softer, less aldehydic and less synthetic blended with Samsara. I have never been able to wear Chanel No.5 or Samsara but those who love them should consider this one as the quality is impecable. Look for the purple bottle as the new refomulation is rumored to be weaker. Quality - excellent 5/5 Feminine Performance- very good 5/5 Overall a powdery feminine floral with longevity. I don't see this for young women except if worn in a subversive way. 7.5/10

This is powdery and strong as holy hell. I sprayed it exactly once at my desk at work, and the entire 100x100' room of people could smell it. Everyone popped their head up and asked "what is that powdery smell?" and "it smells like a rich old lady just walked in" I had to scrub it off - I thought I was safe because perfumes notoriously don't stick to me. Choose wisely were you spray or wear this one. Also what is that name? "Danger"? The only danger you're in is the dangers of smelling like potpourri and rash cream. But rest assured if you love powder scents, this is the one for you.

Someone is surely taking the p*** when they have classed this fragrance as ‘good value’!!!!!!

I don't know, it is nothing special. When I put it on, smells like Nivea creme, later in the day it isn't there anymore, like at all. Trying to think about it as I smelled it, and it is just a mess, nothing to point out, I don't feel any harmony. Reading other people's comments I feel like we are talking about different perfumes, but I double checked that I am rating the correct thing.

Get a Wet Wipe and rub it all over yourself. There! Now you smell like this perfume. I've had more than enough of this type of smell for the past 19 months. Hard pass.

To me personally the fragrance is in the same vein as Chanel No 5 which I do like. May be a bit more towards the Hair Mist Chanel N5 than original Parfum. Danger is slightly vintage, quite mature soapy but yet more modern and rounded. If you dislike Chanel N 5, you most likely wont like it but its worth a try if you enjoy soapy mature fragrances. Fragrance itself is soapy floral, rose and gardenia with slight powdery sweetness. Very classy, and very feminine and probably the best performance from the essence line. I love Reckless the most from the New Essence line along with Enigma.

This does not smell like samsara. This is more vanilla dominant than anything else. Not even close to Guerlain vanilla either. Always test things before you buy it because people for the most part cannot describe what it is they’re smelling. They share similarities but not enough. Now it’s definitely a great fragrance but don’t buy it thinking it’ll scratch samsara’s itch.

This is a clone of Samsara, whatever differences there are, are negligible. This has slightly better lasting power and a more ridiculous price tag. I think some people may have received bad samples.

I sampled this due to the the comparisons to Samsara, but all I am getting it straight up rubber dish washing gloves. This is an immediate scrubber for me, no pun intended.
