Elysium Pour Femme Parfum

I simply cannot accept this rating isn't over 4.0? It seems impossible. Other Rojas like 51 or Elixir rate higher and although I adore them both, they don't compare. Elysium seems fresh, angelic and ethereal and yet also sweet, like you're floating through a garden of white and pink flowers on a sugar bubble. I think that's a hard combo to balance. There are so many fragrances out there that are one note just very, very sweet. They can make my teeth hurt. Even the uber popular Love, Don't Be Shy, gave me cavities! They're usually too screechy and cloying, like I'm drowning in Crush soda and can't come up for air but this lyrical, smooth, sweet floral is like nothing I've ever smelled before. So different, it's immediately recognizable and then totally unforgettable. People at work say when I'm out of the office they miss catching a whiff because it brightens their mood. I have hundreds of perfumes and love most of them. But this is my signature and I interchange this with the Essence version which is lighter and less $$. But when I wear this deeper version, it lasts forever and you only need a few sprays, so the bottle lasts a long time! I've read people talking about longevity which is baffling, I wonder if they're thinking of the Essence version, it can be confusing understanding the difference. But this one is a beautiful Beast! It's similar to Baccarat 540 Extrait and Guidance 46 in sillage and longevity and I have both. And the packaging and bottle are so dreamy, the ombré pink to blue crystal bottle with a large crystal crown top, it looks just like it smells, heavenly. Yes at full price it's insane, I'd never spend $400-500+ on a perfume, never! But if you're resourceful and patient you can find it for much less. Further, because the bottle is so high quality and the brand seems to be less main stream, I've yet to hear of any fakes out there, so it's safer to buy secondhand. Although I'll say it seems harder to find as of late? I'm so worried about this going away, I've bought back ups, and that's a bit cuckoo. But when it's true love it should last a lifetime!😍🥰

I received a travel size of this in an advent calendar a couple of years ago and honestly I am shocked I don’t wear it more. Perhaps it’s the fear of using it all as I will probably never be able to afford a full bottle of this. It’s just so pretty a feminine floral but no too floral, fruity but not overwhelming, musky but not too much and vanilla but not dominant it’s just a well put together fragrance that has a lot going on note wise but it works. It’s a friendly perfume too you could wear this to any occasion and not offend anyone. Love this!

What a beautiful kaleidoscope of notes. It makes me smile because the opening is overwhelming in some ways but I like this initial explosion. To my nose it's flowers, with the tuberose and peony being dominant, sensual woods, fruits, warm musk, vanilla and berries. Elysium PARFUM is a seamlessly blended wonder, but the tuberose stands out throughout. It's clean and fresh and it'll wrap you in warmth (best enjoyed in cooler weather). It's woody type of clean, not light soap type of clean. It leaves a distinctive trail of luxury and optimism :)

Woody, clean, soft, gentle. Very well made, satisfying, rounded and super expensive smelling (as you'd expect). It wears well in colder weather because Elysium radiates a certain warmth. It's somewhat comparable to, but absolutely in a league of their own, an elevated version of Michael Kors Michael because of the way the tuberose is done here and to Dior's J'adore because of the fruity floral clean vibes.

I recently acquired a sample of this. It is a lovely fragrance. On paper, this opens with a citrusy-fruity blast with florals right behind. On me, the opening is with a fruity-floral burst that quickly softens. I love the way the fruits and florals blend together. After about an hour, the strength of the berries and peach begins to subside and the florals take the starring role. Then, over the next couple of hours, the sandalwood and cedar rise and warms the fragrance giving it balance from all of the florals. This fragrance is blended well and would a consideration for a full bottle if it were not so expensive. But I will enjoy the rest of the sample. On a scale of 1 - 3, with 1 being GOAT, I would rate this as a 2+.

My initial review glitched, so this is a shortened version. I thought this smelled more “young” and sweet than I expected, and I’m wondering if maybe I just couldn’t appreciate the full body of this fragrance because I smelled too many other things right before it. It wasn’t a bad fragrance at all, and the bottle is STUNNING, but I’m not in love. Especially not for a 375 dollar price tag. On me, Elysium smells like light raspberry and candy necklaces made of sweet tarts. Maybe with a tinge of linden flower. She’s cute. She’s sweet. She’s just not nearly luxe enough to justify the cost.

My initial reaction to Elysium EDP is that's it a classic take on fragrance with a bit too much pepper initially (personally, I'm not a pepper fan). After the dry down, it becomes a well-balanced bouquet. I suspect that this fragrance really blooms in the colder months. In my region, we are still pretty warm in October. I'm going to try this again and report back after spending more time with this during winter.

It is nice. Expensively nice. To me this is more elevated version of J'adore. Longevity could be better, as I detect it on my skin tops 4h. Still, the bottle is gorgeous. I will wear it because I like it, not because it "should" smell expensive. I personally think it doesn't, but it smells nice. This could be signature worth and would be nice to wear to the office.

this is what an effortlessly cool and confident girl would smell like. fruity all over, perfectly sweet, a little bit of spice, and something powdery too. i really like this, it doesn’t really fit my character but i still think its lovely, 8/10

I think some of the reviews below are for the EDP (retail $315 per 2.5 oz). This page is meant for the parfum (retail $535 per 1.7 oz). I’m sitting with a travel size of the parfum from RDHP. The parfum is much woodier than the EDP. Definitely test first as this is not just an intense Elysium! The delightful top was gone all too soon and left behind a lot of cedar that’s erring on the side of soapy for me. This would be lovely to smell when entering a room or falling into crisp sheets. I just have no desire to experience it all day. That said, I don’t know why so many people left bad ratings, unless they’re just griping about the price. It’s not unique, but it’s done well. Nothing astringent or unbalanced to my nose. Makes me think of pressed white slacks and ladies in big hats. Bright, sunny days. A walk through manicured gardens of a grand estate somewhere.

I purchased a sample of this, and had high expectations based on the reviews of YouTubers, but I honestly don't get the hype. To my nose, this is the perfume section of Ulta in a bottle. This could be a Donna Born in Roma flanker. It feels designer rather than high-end niche. It's not a bad perfume, it's just nothing special imho. No way would I pay the Roja price. I guess, in a way, I'm glad it wasn't a love for me, because a sample here and there is all I would be able to swing anyway.

I don't like perfumes with magnolia notes, it reminds me of the aunts from my school, but it's a wonderful perfume but not for me. I think it's vintage in my opinion.

I think I am probably not the right audience for this fragrance as I often get headaches from those heavy on the white florals. I don’t know if the association with the potential for headaches contributes to (even non headache inducing ones) most being off putting to me. Irrelevant, because this one does give me a headache. Kind of gives me old money 55+ white linen wearing woman, visiting the slightly musty Nantucket beach house. I think this appeals to someone, reasonably, but it isn’t me.
