Enigma Pour Homme

I'll cut to the chase and say that Enigma Parfum is absolutely a masterpiece. It's still the most expensive bottle I've purchased, and I'd gladly do it again. This will not be for everyone. I'm in my mid-20's, but I feel many in that age bracket won't latch onto this. It certainly has a quality to it that can come off as "dated", or "old man cologne" to some. I understand this, but disagree. Enigma opens up with bright, sparkly, almost effervescent cognac, ginger, and benzoin. Sharp, spicy, and warm. There's something about it that screams classic French perfumery of yesteryear. The cognac is boozy, but not dense, sweet, and heavy. There's a pop to it, enhanced by the ginger and jasmine. Not tea-like Jasmine, but rather indolic, almost animalic Jasmine. The bergamot lends a floral, polished citrus sweetness to the top, and while it lingers into the dry down, it's blended so well, it doesn't jump out. The tobacco is so opulent, luxurious, and mysterious. Not a pipe, not a cigarette, but approaching cigar territory. There's deep, lush raw tobacco leaf, but there's also a hint of smoke - like the leather and upholstery of a cigar lounge. There's sweetness, but it's mature, elegant, and ambery - ultra resinous and refined, with some dry vanilla coming into focus. I understand the cola vibe, but to me, it's more the sparkle of ginger and cognac, with some subtle spicy cracked black pepper peeking through the curtain. As it dries down, there's a woody, spicy, smoky facet, that reminds me of a freshly emptied cognac cask - still wet with grainy, boozy, woody dregs, and just kissed by flame of a torch, and filled again to age tobacco leaves. For good measure, some bergamot, jasmine, and neroli blossoms are thrown on top. Enigma lasts on skin for ages. An easy 12 hours, and projection is beautifully strong for most of it. Just a couple of sprays will have you set, and others will take notice. This one is opulent and seriously demands dressing up. This isn't sweatpants and a hoodie. You'll look like a fool. This is the definitive black tie event perfume - exuding this air of mystery, sex appeal, power and masculinity. Something you can't quite put your finger on, but you're oh so intrigued. Truly, an enigma. Tldr: A mature, sophisticated, ridiculously opulent fragrance that hints at classic French perfumery. Rich, potent, boozy, effervescent, sparkly, bright, slightly smoky, slightly floral, and utterly, extremely fancy. Balls-to-the-wall projection and longevity, and demanding of nice, clean, put-together outfits. Did a swap this weekend whereby I got to use this in exchange for letting her use one of mine. (Do this quite often.) Yes, I know it's 'pour homme' but, TBPH, I am not being bound by that. And anyway, labelling perfumes 'pour homme' or 'pour femme' is contrary to what Roja Dove himself says. Wasn't it he who said "a rose on a man is a masculine rose, and a rose on a woman is a feminine rose"? Anyway, I had not been particularly impressed by this when I sampled it some time ago in the Selfridges boutique, and I had pretty much forgotten about it. But my friend said "no, seriously, this stuff is just magnificent!", so she talked me into trying it. And, well, my view of it is just completely transformed! This one is a stunner - nothing short of that. And it's worth its really very stiff price tag in that you are not going to get anything anything like it for less. I think the first word that comes to mind to describe it is "concentrated". By this I don't mean I used the pure parfum - no, it was the EDP - I mean that the aroma itself is concentrated. It's just crammed! It's like one of those peaches you sometimes get if you're lucky (and in this country you have to be very lucky) that isn't just juicy, but positively spills all over your face. And the amberiness and the muskiness of it are almost like palpable physical presences. And it's sheer content is so unlike that of anything I've ever worn before. But it does have that Coca-Cola / Jägermeister liqueur evocativity to it, that I've noticed many other people speak of. You might think "wouldn't want to wear something that smells of that" ... but yet it is very eminently wearable. I wrote in my review of Escada's Taj Sunset, not entirely joking, that it triggers a reflex that you have spilt some fruity drink on yourself; but when I liken this to a drink, I certainly do not liken it in anything like the same sense. And as for sillage & longevity ... just sorted - completely sorted! Having first applied this on Friday night, there was no real possibility of wearing anything else meaningfully for the rest of the weekend. Oh, by the way ... notes-analysis: I got the benzoin right! But I would not have been able to tell you that there are tobacco and cognac in there - they are just too well 'plumbed' or 'wired' in. One last thing - it was well received also. My stern critics were pretty much silent about this one, and one stranger was really very very interested in what it was.

Enigma Parfum is very unique and has a lot of character; Classic meets modern. The opening sometimes hits me as a bit old; But today, after fasting from frags for a day, I got hit with the beautiful fruity congac open. It's not that boozy, as in alcohol smell, but you get the fruitiness of the grapes, from which congac is made. I recently tried and purchased the Enigma Parfume Cologne, great fresher version. Then I thought I will only buy the original Enigma Parfume if I find a good deal, and so I did. I go into great length in my Enigma Cologne review on the heart of this fragrance, it is pretty much the same here: Congac and benzoin mainly with tobacco and floral touches, vanilla. The Cologne ads some nice bergamot and lemon on top, the Parfume is richer, has some nuances the Cologne version doesn't have. The opening of this is peppery with cardamom and bergamot. This is the opening accord that may be giving the cola smell. I love how un-linier this is. Its complex, and it takes you for a ride as it changes and evolves throughout the different phases. First impression; wow It's kind of light. You may think, for this price you are going to get a beast-mode frag in all catagories, like Parfumes de Marley, etc. But like "buysblind" says in his review, he likes boyant fragrances, ones that are not thick and weighty. So it is with Enigma. It lasts a long time, but never laud. Well, the cool thing about this frag, is it smells light when it first goes on your skin, then in a few minutes, it intensifies... I've never experienced that in a fragrance, like this, out of 400 frags I have reviewed. Two kinds of persons I see wearing this: One is James Bond (Michael Craig) in Casino Royal, when his girlfriend says to him, "I need you looking sharp" for the big poker game. Well this is what he would be wearing for a fragrance, very regal and sharp. Another picture I got was a King in old England wearing this. It has an old classic vib, yet very unique; and fit for a king. PS: Some advice, never blind buy this. It is a challenging fragrance that took me quite a while to understand and aquire a taste for it. Now it's a favorite. It gets a lot of hype, and as a tobacco fragrance. Tobacco is a slight nuance making an accord with the congac. Many won't even be able to pick out the tobacco in this. Rating: 9.5/10 Happy New year Fragrance bros and gals. John 3:16

This was the first Roja fragrance I ever tried which happened to be approximately two years ago. Two years ago I was still into mostly designers. My nose wasn't trained for overly complex fragrances and this one absolutely overloaded my senses. I smelt nothing but a powdery mess, and powdery is probably my most hated nuance in a fragrance. At this point, I was done with Roja's (until I decided to give the brand another try a few weeks ago). Within the last few weeks I now have seven full bottles, two discovery atomizers and lots of samples on the way. My nose is much more in shape these days and Roja perfumes have certainly reeled me in. Coming back to Creation-E Parfum...I can totally see where I originally picked up the powdery aspect. The cognac is incredibly powerful with an ointment-like polish. It may seem powdery and abrasive, but it is in fact actually kind of sexy and completely unique. Three things immediately come to mind as I sniff it; 1) Rum and coke vibe (cognac and coke as well) 2) Root Beer/Root Beer Float - I would say this is most definitely more prominent than the cola vibe! 3) Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille - This only reminds me of it. It doesn't smell like it due to different notes, but it has that same cool-warm-spicy character The ultimate dry down is a spicy vanilla. As I said before, it's fairly coarse and not necessarily "smooth," but it's sexy in an eccentric way. It's not sensual. It's rough around the edges but presents itself in a confident, sultry way. I surprisingly love it. I have worn it to bed the last few nights and I must say, I can see myself wearing this a lot. Really fascinating fragrance which is done up so well. Side note: I currently own the parfum cologne but will be purchasing the parfum soon. Biggest difference to me is that the parfum is more effervescent, a little more bright and boozy. The parfum cologne oddly appears to be more thick and woody. I wouldn't mind owning both, but I have to say the carbonation effect of the parfum is the difference maker!

Roja Dove describes this some place on the youtube as being big and bold, and an attention-grabber, which makes one prone to maybe expect something like an Amouage Interlude Man, or one of Xerjoffs stronger ones, but this actually is incredibly soft and not at all in your face to my nose. Nevertheless, his description still fits! It is big: Once you draw your breath, you keep drawing it in, and drawing it in to get to the bottom of the fragrance, but the pull is just subtly there until you can't breathe in no more - then you want to draw it in again, it's very delicious, spacious, soft and sweet, and with just an indispensable almost little hit of vanilla that pokes through the cognac and tobacco now and again that gives it almost an addictive quality. There is so much room in the scent, it feels like it would be easy to add a couple of notes that would overpower what goes on in there and grab all the attention, instead the sweet balance and the spaciousness is just enough of a show in itself. Incredibly pleasant! It is bold: - you will get noticed! Nobody will be unaware that you smell good - but it is not noisy or intrusive - that judgement was supported by an innoscent. I got unsolicited comments from a lady at work who walked 5 meters behind me and wanted to know what smelled so good. She proceeded to comment how unintrusive yet luxurious it smelled. She had never heard of the brand so I was happy to show her. Just for reference: I've worn scents like Creed Aventus, Amouage Reflection, Xerjoff Renaissance etc. around her tons of times, but this one is the only that she's commented on. This is quickly becoming my favorite scent. I have tried the eau the Parfum and the Parfum, and the intensity seems _almost_ the same, it is so soft and velvety that I find going up in concentration isn't a problem with this one. Longevity is great, but it's softness might fool you during the day - it's there though. Beautiful scent!

My first impression upon sampling this was "Cola and something else.. what's the hype?" It didn't take long for me to start appreciating this. Enigma is a beautiful, beautiful fragrance and balanced in a unique way, it's as if the fragrance plays with your senses by giving you "sneak peeks" of each smell ever so slightly, just enough for you to go "wow!" and be pulled back into depths of its beauty. It is indeed luxurious, opulent and very refined, so much so that I struggle to find a situation where one could wear this. All I can think of are high-class social events where you're dressed up to the nines and among select privileged people. They say this is the Rolls-Royce, the top of the line of fragrances, and I would have to concur with such statement. I can appreciate the perfumery here, but personally I wouldn't buy this for myself. If you want the best of the best, the cream of the crop, then Enigma is the definite choice. As a work of fragrantic art, it is an experience that every perfume lover should try once in a lifetime. _________________ 03/24/2024 Edit: And here I am about a year later and I bought it after all, I'm a happy owner of a bottle of Enigma Parfum Pour Homme . In time I just found this scent intoxicating, it smells so good and more natural than many other fragrances. I can't resist the smell but I can resist the original price: The fragrance was 30% off it's RRP so I knew I had to get it, and I'm glad I did. Furthermore, echoing someone's thoughts from earlier reviews, Enigma is slowly ruining most other fragrances for me because nothing else smells as good as this does.

Ultra luxurious, complex, satisfying, and pricey. The sum total of the notes instantly creates an opening like the finest gourmet cola one could imagine. It's a "soft" but rich dry tobacco; neither sharp nor bitter. There is a gentle, powdery-sweet vanilla which I don't personally find cloying or syrupy. I would avoid this if you are averse to even slightly powdery perfumes. I'm not a particular connoisseur of "boozy" fragrances, but I like to think that the cognac is beautifully incorporated into the heavier base notes here. It does not smell overtly like liquor the way Nasomatto Baraonda announces itself in its respective opening and mid. Roja Dove adorns his tobacco and vanilla oriented masterwork with musk, citrus, spice, and floral elements. This is what distinguishes and elevates his perfume to luxury-niche. The blending is magical. Both of mine are the parfum concentration with the black labels and black crystal tops; the boxes have purple as the secondary color. Perhaps they're from the initial batch/production run, since the current bottles appear to have a gold label, along with pale gold being the secondary color on the box which also features a printed golden "Roja" signature... I still pick up that sweet musky base after a full day of wearing on skin, and even a week later on clothes. As I bask in the personal olfactory glory of my dedicated researching, sampling, and curating...Creation E resides in the uppermost echelon.

I finally got a decant of it after I bought a full bottle of the Parfum Cologne version since many people said it is a better version of Parfum Cologne and I love the Parfum Cologne so much. Ok, I really love both versions but I would say it’s kinda redundant to get both in FB. They smell exactly the same to my nose except the Parfum Cologne has much longer lasting of the frizzy opening while the Pour Homme Parfum version dries down to heart and base much quicker. Parfum Cologne last about 7-8 hours on my skin with bigger projection while the Parfum version the frizziness fades quickly then dries down to the boozy and woody that stay closer to the skin but last 10+ hours on my skin. Honestly my nose can’t detect the difference of their quality because they are both divine. Depends on what you’re looking for. If you looking for a longer lasting and don’t want big projection, go with the Parfum version but if you live in a warm climate (I’m living in Los Angeles where mostly very warm in a year), I think the Cologne version is more suitable. The longer frizziness provides a fresher take of it. I will still get a full bottle of it when I finish my decant of it because it is nice to add it to my collection but I just don’t know when I’m gonna finish the decant as the weather in LA starting to get warm already and I’ve been reaching to the Cologne more often.

This is my newest acquisition and I must say it’s a cold weather banger for sure. When I first smell this I get that cognac really strong. Followed by tobacco and a little vanilla. The vanilla seems to stay with you through the life of the fragrance. The dry down is more of a powdery amber/vanilla with a very light cinnamon and booze accord. It’s very nice. This fragrance just oozes class. I do get the cola vibe but only in the beginning. Pricing on this one is steep. I got mine from Osswalds NYC and for $315 I received 50mls of this juice. Presentation is amazing with this one too. The bottle is heavy glass and the cap is heavy gold. The box is probably one of he better boxes I have seen. I hate paying over $200 and getting a box I can get nautica voyage in. Unboxing niche fragrances for me is an experience in itself for me. I really do love this one. Heavy projection quiets down to a perfect moderate and spillage is fantastic. This lasts all day on my skin. Two sprays hung around for 15 hours plus. So for me this is an easy rating. 9/10 Gotta be real and drop a point for pricing. If you can afford it, rock it because this is pretty awesome.

Unique and high-end scent! Pungent opening. Starting with coca-cola (sweet tobacco) and almost confectionary vanilla, Parfum Pour Homme is more dense and thick compare to Parfum Cologne, also, Parfum Cologne has more of that cola vibe than this one. Parfum Pour Homme has the effect of sparkling/bubbling coca-cola for about 1-2 hours. At mid it smells like a cognac with vanilla at the back, to my house it doesn't have that real alcohol smell but it just reminds you it, vanilla is sweet but not cloying, you start getting cherry from tobacco. Three sprays and it projects for 2.5-3 hours then it becomes a skin scent that lasts for about 10 hours, on clothes stays for days and days, you’ll get a vanilla blast from your closet when you open it the next day. At drydown I can smell mostly vanilla, a little bit of cherry from the tobacco, and a few woodsy cognac notes. Would be perfect for cold weather dates / going out nights. Not complimentary, probably because of that vanilla sweetness. With enigma I don't need any other special occasions cold time wear fragrances, I love Enigma and waiting every time to wear it for a date or night out!

Roja Enigma Parfum. My favourite fragrance of all time. Opens with a blast of bergamot, pepper, ginger and a dose of spices. To my nose, calling this a coca cola accord would be accurate, but this is so much more. It maintains that effervescence with a depth and sophistication given by the tobacco and vanillic notes. As it dries down, it becomes sweeter, but maintains the opening DNA to some extent throughout (although it is far less prominent). It becomes more of a vanilla/tobacco/benzoin/cognac with a little spritz of fresh zing from the cola accord. It is a genuinely gorgeous scent, and a real pickmeup in winter. Suits formal occasions and nights out, but who am I to tell you when to wear a fragrance. 10/10 for smell, and I do not give this lightly. The only 10 in my collection. Performance is stellar, although i cannot comment on the newer bottles. Expensive? Yes. Worth it? Also yes. If price point is too high, the parfum cologne smells very similar but is not as rich or potent. I actually had the parfum cologne before i got this. It is an upgrade, but the parfum cologne is still an excellent scent.

I think I found my new signature for the foreseeable future! When I first sampled this it immediately reminded me of Tobacco Vanille but of a higher quality. As I got to know the fragrance more I really understood the depth and the initial resemblence to TV was just because they share a couple of notes. Now, after a couple of weeks of wearing this I have no idea what the comparison to TV came from. They are totally different fragrances. They are still in the same genre however. Warm, spicy, vanilla etc. It is a work of art and will last all day on your skin and even longer on clothes. I do get the cola vibe people are talking about in the opening, albeit not as strongly as some suggest. This will get you compliments if you care about that. 9,5/10 Edit: A couple of months later this is still going strong as my favorite fragrance of all time. What I have come to realize is the beauty of the patchouli and its' role as the glue that holds everything together. Such a mesmerizing scent. Fits all occasions and weather in my opinion.

This was an instant love for me. The cola opening strongly reminds me of escada magnetism, but with a lot more booze and tobacco as the scent dries down. The cognac note is very much prominent though the whole fragrance and makes it quite mature. Nevertheless, i think this is not only for older guys, i can see someone in their 20's can pull this off easily. Later on, vanilla comes in and rounds it off very smoothly. This fragrance has extraordinary quality and lasting Power. It's not a projection monster though, stays quite close to the skin. This is very unique! The most unique scent profile i've ever tested. I have smelled nothing that really is similar to this. The bottle ist beautiful. No fragrance in the world is worth close to 500$. So is Enigma. But you pay for luxury. A Louis Vuitton Bag is also not worth 5000$, but that's how it is. Don't test the fragrance with the price tag in mind. If you search long enough, you might find a good deal on this. I got mine -45% Off and for that price, it's totally worth it.

Is the Enigma Parfum worth three times the price of the Parfum Cologne? Well, no. However, is the Parfum sufficiently better so as to render the Parfum Cologne redundant? Yes, I believe so. Having worn the Parfum, I just can’t wear it’s baby brother again. This is deeper, richer, less “artificial”, and much (much) better performing (on me). Worth the price tag though? Probably not, considering you could get what I’d rate as better perfumes cheaper. But damn it is good! Somewhat surprisingly, I find this very well suited to warm weather. Alright, it’s probably better in cold climates, but it works very well and doesn’t seem “too much” even in the heat. I’m a sucker for rich, boozy openings, and wished they generally lasted longer before transitioning into a mid where the booziness tends to fade. Black Phantom and Dulce Diablo, I’m looking at you! Enigma Parfum’s booziness lasts longer for sure, but not as long as Initio Side Effect (still my booze-scent numero uno!).

I finally managed to replace my Parfum Cologne with the original Enigma Parfum, and I’m very glad I did. On initial spray, that iconic coca-cola scent profile overpowers your senses - it’s spicy, fizzy and intensely alluring. I find that in the parfum, those opening notes of black pepper, bergamot and neroli are more noticeable, whilst only fleeting. As this settles on the skin, a dry and smoky tobacco emerges alongside a refreshingly spicy and delicious ginger. Whilst the Parfum Cologne continues this cola vibe throughout the life of the scent, the parfum soon calms down and leaves you with the true, intended iteration of Enigma. That gorgeous amber base of vanilla and benzoin mingles perfectly with the cognac and tobacco leaving you with something you’ve definitely never smelled before, sparkling in the air around you. I absolutely love the parfum version of Enigma as it’s such a unique creation, but I have to be in the right mood to wear it.

This is a very old school scent, it has a sharpness of old aftershaves. Reminds me of how my grandpa smelled after shaving. Don't know if I'll keep it or resell since it's so expensive and I can't say that it's in my top perfumes. I'm disappointed because I thought that this would be one of the ultimate boozy scents but nah. Maybe it will grow on me in dry down (I'm at 1h mark now). EDIT: It did grow on me! My No.1 perfume is Baraonda but it does not work if weather is above 16C. This is so good in spring time. Barbershop quality at the beginning dies down after ~1.5h and leaves this sweet and masculine cola reminiscent scent but still with vintage gentlemen style. The longer you wait in dry-down the stronger the cognac is and weaker the cola vibe. It's such a masterpiece that makes you want to be the person who would wear this. It's screems of such life success. If this is your signature scent, people will have assumptions about you.

Wore this outside tonight and let me tell ya, IT’S AN INCREDIBLE SENSE. I applied 3 sprays behind my neck and 6 hours later it still lingers in the air, and I just constantly catching whiffs of it. It just makes me so happy everytime it snuck into my nose, made me feel like a child. The smell is like how everyone describes it, a coca-cola scent, but a spicy-fancy one. The only downside to this fragrance is the price, which is a show stopper. But for me, I got it for HALF THE PRICE . Yes, you heard me, my cousin bought it but couldn’t find a suitable occasion to use it, so he told me I could have it for whatever the price I offer, and that’s how I got this baby for just $260 (full bottle). Lucky me I guess. Easily 12hrs+, excellent sillage and projection, unisex indeed because c’mon, it’s a coca-cola smell. I would wear this everday if it wasn’t so damn expensive and so little.

I was hating this brand because of it's prices but i have to admit that Enigma smells amazing!! The cognac, the tobacco, the vanilla, the woods spiced up with pepper, ginger create a such a sexy, unique and beautiful scent! It starts with the famous coca cola vibe and then it becomes a bit darker and stays like this for the rest of it's life. The performance is really good as it's expected for a parfum with a huge pricetag. It's very balanced, well blended and very easy to like. It's better for a night out, date etc and it will get positive attention. Overall, i can't recommend to anyone to pay this heavy price for a fragrance. I still believe that you can buy equally amazing or even better fragrances for half of the money (Pdm Carlisle, Oajan, LI Vanille Havane for example) but if you have the money or you get a deal (as i did) for this, it's an excellent choice!!

Fragrance -Enigma Pour Homme Roja Dove Bottle from - 2016 Enigma,in my opinion,is one of the best,if not the best,Roja fragrance.It's a beautiful,boozy,spicy,tobacco-vanilla scent.And yes,Enigma has a mysterious smell to me,a little bit of refined coca cola vibe,and i like him. Longevity - 8/10(8+hours) Silage/Projection - 8/10(nice projection and silage for the first 2-3 hours) Weather - best in spring,autumn,winter Age - 24+ Compliments - 8/10 Scent - 9/10 Main notes according to me - vanilla,tobacco,cognac,benzoin,ginger. The drydown is nice and i get some sweetness,vanilla and tobacco. Emotions -mysterious,sophisticated,unanswered questions. Occasion -perfect for more or less any ocasion and any time of year.I personally wouldn't wear this in really hot summer days. You'll get compliments with this one.Could be a nice signature scent.

Seems I've been wearing heavier fragrances that I'm used to this summer season...and I like it! Today, I'm wearing creation-e parfum by @rojaparfums, a Boozy, Vanilla, and tobacco fragrance. It opens up with a cognac accord with some citruses, giving a Coca-Cola vibe. Settles to beautiful cognac, vanilla, gingery and tobacco drydown. No description can do any justice to the excellence of this awesomeness. If you say it's the best tobacco fragrance, it fits; if you say it's the best boozy fragrance, all well and good, so sexy and attractive on anyone. A few sprays, may be 4 and I am good to go. Close to the skin but solidly projects in your bubble at least for 8 hours and people will definitely notice you. Give it a try and thank me later. If I had to make a top list of fragrances to keep for ever, this will definitely be in the top 5.

Wearing a sample of Roja Dove Creation-E; its too masculine for me but it is a wonderful scent!! Holy moly!! To my very naive and unlearned nose, the opening first hour it smelled like the ozone after a thunderstorm, and hay in wide, open fields, there was a rusty iron or blood scent, and acrid petroleum fuel scent. I pictured a farmer trying to fix his tractor outside a newly rained on field under a daylight sunny sky at the end of summer. Finally it dries down to the most delicious caramel and sweet tobacco scent that lasts and lasts. Gosh its delicious!! Highly recommend for an earthy, DIY kind of person. Its beautiful enough to be unisex. It's gorgeous and lasts until you wash it off! (sample from scent bird) 10/10

I received a decant of this in this morning's post. Now I've ordered a bottle for tomorrow's delivery. Very impressed. This just oozes class and what a way to kick off my foray into the niche world. Starts with a heady cola/animalic opening which I guess where people are noting the 'barnyard' association. This soon blends down into a warm, spicy cognac vanilla tobacco. Very classy and slightly restrained. I work in a busy kitchen and it's still going strong after seven hours. Reminds me ever so slightly of Tom Ford's Noir Extreme in its spicy, slightly gourmand character. This does not project greatly, but I like to wear fragrance for myself and not others, so that particular facet for me is of no concern.

I agree with most everything said below. Definitely notice the Cola opening, a bit less the ginger as that comes along a bit later and in a far more subtle way than the Cola. The Cola continues to be strong for awhile. Only thing I'd disagree with is how many have said this should be reserved for special occasions. Rather I'd say it is completely appropriate for daily wear in professional or personal settings, and is appropriate both in the day and at night. I find it to be versatile and approachable, while still maintaining a satisfying complexity. This is something you'd want people to remember when they spend time with you, rather than something reminiscent of the occasion, in my personal opinion.

For me this comes as one of the most complicated very hard to interpret scents I smelled and owned. I get tons of booze mixed with vanilla all the way and streaming along the river of ginger. The smell is weird and captivating, leaving you wondering what's that smell? And I say you as this thing is noticeable by people around, unless they are holding you close. At first sprays it fills the room in an unbearable and choking way, but it dies in minutes (10 minutes most) and hides in your skin. I like the smell actually love it, but for the price, I would have expected much more performance out of it. My opinion, if you have lots of money spare,....still get decant to try it.. Don't buy this one.

My favourite fragrance of all time. Many of Roja’s perfumes are overpriced, and in my honest opinion they are nothing ground breaking, except for Enigma. This truly is a masterpiece. If I could sell my whole collection and keep one fragrance this wins everytime. From the top notes to the very end of the dry down is 10 out of 10. One of the best Vanilla’s I’ve ever smelt in perfumery. If you are serious about fragrances and don’t have this in your collection something is not quite right. The Parfum cologne in comparison isn’t that bad to be fair. But why would you want to experience a watered down Enigma! Save up and buy the real deal. Masterpiece and always will be.

First couple times I smelt it on card I couldn't believe why oh why anyone would like it, let alone hype it. Sales assistant agreed. A couple months later I was talking to the same sales assistant and decided id give it a proper wear to test it out. We were both amazed with the scent cloud. 'Ohmygawdness' our eyes yelled at each other. Giving it a couple wears and now I love it. I had a similar experience with FM Musc Ravageur, going from hate to love with a couple wears. I still feel this way about TT Ursa, so maybe not all things don't change, but this did for sure. Roja is expensive, no doubt, but this is one of those fragrances I personally can see the value.

Beautiful and special occasion male icon. For the slightly more mature male who wants something classy, likeable and to stand out. Has a sweetness with the cola / Dr Pepper like accord but has so much going on around it. Although male imo it’s not a dated masculine type fragrance which stings the nostrils, but smooth and mass appealing which does do through a journey and requires a certain type of formal situation / attire to work at its best . Rich old money type vibes, but modern enough to not be polarising in anyway. Will always be in my collection, even if I lose all my money and have to limit myself to one spay a week.

The King of booze and tobacco. I can easily remember how everyone was impressed and reacted when this fragrance came out and I have very strong nostalgic bond to this fragrance reminding me of my best days. Huge projection and trail with enigma parfum you only need 4-5 sprays. Very Masculine very gangster like and the most effective self confidence booster. Opens up smoky boozy which the booze will remain from the very start to the end and dries down into a very vanilla almond cinnamon ambery benzoin which Roja is the best one at benzoin with tobacco booze and very sensual musk.... I can't get enough of it

I have ha a 10mil decant of this for several years now which I obviously used sparingly on special occasions. I absolutely used to love it, however I revisited this again after a few years and I have to say I love it even more now that the juice is turned into a beautiful dark rich colour which would be the vanilla maturing over time. Still one of my top favourites that I have tried from roja .I am down to my last two mills and I'm seriously considering getting a full bottle .., ohh by the way the cologne version is a mere shadow to the original imop..

Roja Enigma PPH is a sophisticated fragrance for the modern day gentleman and made with high-quality ingredients. The opening is bright, fresh and fizzy, and shortly thereafter, ginger, cardamom and black pepper provide some spiciness. But the best part of this scent profile is the heart and base where the boozy cognac, smooth tobacco, and sweet vanilla combine exquisitely to form an instant classic. Warmth from benzoin adds depth to the fragrance. All in all, Enigma PPH is a masterpiece and reserved for the more formal occasions.

Extremely beautiful scent profile. Upon spraying, I can easily detect the peppers and ginger accompanied by something fizzy and powdery. I'm not sure I would categorize that as a cola accord like many others, but there is something earthy deep within, which I'm assuming is the patchouli. It doesn't exactly come off as sweet on skin or paper, so I would classify this more on the masculine end of things. All in all, this is extremely pleasant and extremely wearable. The downside is of course, the price.

I love Enigma. The powdery florals perfectly accent the vanilla/benzoin, drawing a sort of complementary tension with the tobacc /cognac. Maintains a spicy effervescence courtesy of black pepper and ginger. Ultimately, a sweet, powdery resinous vanillic scent with some spicy nuance. It's well executed and addictive. I agree with whoever categorized this vibrationally similar to Amouage Overture Man. Where that is a bit more austere, this is a little more open, softer.

2nd review, after months of owning it, testing it here and there, first bottle finished, this trully is one of the best smelling fragrance i encountered in my life imho,it has everything , sexiness, warmth, projection,longevity and uniqueness , you will never find a fragrance even remotely similar to this one, i guarante you 100%, even houses which are specialized in making clones couldn't make it even 15% as good as this one, i highly recommend everyone to try it.

The delicious, effervescent Coca-Cola opening eventually yields to wonderful, smoky and vanilla-boozy notes that are perfect for cool and wintry evening affairs. Maybe I'm weird, but I picked up the bergamot and neroli top notes after a delay of several minutes instead of the usually immediate salute to the nostrils that top notes provide. Nevertheless, I'm delighted by Enigma Pour Homme's complexity and it has secured a permanent spot on my roster.

without doubt 10/10 . DIVINE in first hour , to me its smells like a horse and saddle . Scent : 10/10 Quality : 10/10 Longevity : 9/10 Sillage : 8/10 Bottle : 10/10 ultra luxury , ultra sexy , very beautiful ... really i don't know how to explain this scent ! I think that is enough to say that this is one of the best scent I have ever smelled . Though it’s not that unique in the drydown, but it’s very good overall. ( It’s not worth the price )

Straight up Coca-Cola scent! you just wanna smell it over and over again! It's addictive asf. Roja Enigma Pour Homme is not cheap tho, but you get this beautiful boozy cola scent in the opening which later drys down to a perfectly smooth tobacco- vanilla scent. Roja Enigma Pour homme is definitely in my wish list! no question about it. Currently the only draw down is the price, but I will consider that before buying the full bottle.

An intoxicating foray of black pepper and Lime collided intensely yet stunningly with freshly chopped ginger and cognac straight from its oak cask. Exquisitely underpinned by a bouquet of animalistic Jasmine massaged in benzoin and barrel aged tobacco. A Boozy, classy delicate dance on the promenade; cigar smoke fills the air while the spill of spirits become more distinguished with each temptress that passes by.

This is cola manifest. But - elegant, classy, opulent. Much less harsh than the cologne version, in my eyes - but very similar in essence. Sweet, warm, ambery, tangy. It has the same "vibe" (NOT scent) as Amouage's Overture. I wore it to the immersive theater version of phantom of the opera ("Masquerade"). I was wearing an elegant black outfit and a baroque mask - and this fragrance completed the style.

Might be the worst opening in the history of perfumery. Smells intensely of piss and body odour for the first 25 minutes. And then it completely transforms. I see the cola comparisons, with lemon. Think classical French with synthetic layering. It turns into something really incredible but it takes time. I'd say, easily 1 hour+ spray before leaving the house. The opening is offensive.

Very beautiful, it was a gift decant, so I never intended to try it before. But right at the first whiff I can tell that this is A Roja perfume. Its beautiful and classy. Cognac, benzoin, and vanilla sweetness... Definitely a touch of patchouli too. I can see myself wear this year round in Sweden where the winters are freezing and the summers are very hot.

Some fragrances when I wear people say: you are wearing this or that. Other fragrances when I wear people say: YOU smell good. And this is what Enigma is. You are not wearing Enigma, the perfume that smells good...it becomes YOU who smell good. It become a part of you. I don't know why every time I remember how Enigma smells, Gold comes to my mind.

Jazz club. But make it posh. Code absolu. But make it grow up. Side effect. But make it effervesce. Tobacco Vanille. But take it to the white house. This fragrance is the apogeum of perfumery for me. Radiant, bright, complex, enigmatic, erotic. Try before you buy, but I highly recommend you to buy in case you have a change of heart.

Of all the old and New Roja Dove fragrances. This is his best creation by far. It is King of the fragrance world.. The best fragrance in my Niche collection of over 90. Perfection in a bottle. This is what James Bond would wear. If I could only own 1 Roja Dove( I own 23) this would be it, hands down, Buy and thank me later

Roja Enigma Parfum Pour Homme is an elegant, masculine masterpiece. This perfume opens up with a soft coca cola smell, then dries down to a darker, smoother blend of resins, vanilla, tobacco and woods. Lasts 8-10 hours on my skin and projects decently. An absolute masterpiece and 100% worth the hefty price in my opinion.

Roja Enigma (2013) - cognac bar - A goldilocks of a boozy scent. Cognac-accord creates this boozy amber-patchouli-vanilla note, combined with a more woodsy tobacco. Aromatic spices at the top and heart notes give a cola accord. It is balanced with bergamot, ginger and white florals. Refined and reminds me of a smooth xo.

I had not worn this for a while. Wearing Bortnikoff ouds... When I sprayed on Enigma this morning, it feels like a dark synthetic oud note in the base. Unlisted apparently. It smooths out and develops nicely, with pepper and ginger aromatic spiciness, and the florals smooth it out, without ever becoming defined.

One of the best fragrances in the world where cognac-tobacco combo with mind blowing opening. Masterfully blended, elegance, smoothness at its level best, with all the best ingredients. Enigma/ Creation-E is definitely a head turner. It will cost a fortune in future. 10 out of 10 assuredly

I will say this; this fragrance is too mature for me. I blind bought this in my mid 20s and it’s made for somebody at least middle aged. However, this fragrance is fantastic. It is among the best I’ve ever smelled, both in terms of scent profile and quality. Performance is great too.

Coke & Rum Float with spiced amber. Absolutely Lovey and gains its full powers in the cold I will say women generally don't like this scent as much as men. This is more of something you wear for yourself if you're deep into fragrances and you're going out with the boys or to lounges
