Great Britain

Encapsulating one's country (at least most of it...Northern Ireland?) in a scent is no small task, but Roja Dove's Great Britain shows that he was up to the task Its sophistication is unmatched, on par with the Roja name, as no powdery leather fragrance could smell great to my nose unless being superbly blended with the finest ingredients. Cedar is the primary woody element, and beyond that, I get a bit of rose, sage, and citrus (faint enough to be the lemon, bergamot, or both). What a lovely mix, though, as no one element seems to overpower the others, though if I were to identify a top dog, it would be the leather, partly because, as generally not a fan of leather fragrances (or just not that many, relatively), I'm attuned to detecting leather, perhaps defensively. I like another powdery leather fragrance, Dior Homme Parfum, quite a lot, but seldom wear it. Roja Great Britain is, by contrast, something I could wear perhaps every day, and to give some perspective, I rather lean toward sweet gourmand and/or fresh fragrances the majority of the time. Performance is strong, and I imagine this mainly to be a cold weather choice, fitting for its setting, but it's not so encumbering that it need be avoided in the warmer months, but its seriousness lends itself to wearing mainly in specific situations, even though I find it quite easy to wear; an odd contradiction, perhaps. At its price of £1,250 / $1,631 per 100ml, it's difficult to even contemplate ever purchasing, except perhaps after winning a lottery of some kind, but certainly the creation is up to par with the best I've smelled from the line. I only own two Rojas (the discontinued Extraits - Amber and Vetiver) because I could only obtain a couple of them affordably, and as one would expect, the most prohibitive aspect of the brand is the price, but as the saying goes, you get what you pay for, and with Roja, I'm consistently given reason to believe, even in other cases when I dislike his scents, that the quality and care are both exceptional. Great Britain is such a creation, and one I might like to wear, as, for me, it takes the best parts of Dior Homme Parfum and Creed Royal Mayfair and gives the wearer a sophisticated portrait of Britain. Very neat stuff, even if simply academic for the majority of us that couldn't ride with the price tag. 8 out of 10

I don’t have much experience with Cuir de Russie-style fragrances, mainly because I’ve never had the opportunity to smell them, but also because they aren’t especially common today. Great Britain shares over ten notes with Manhattan from the same house, yet the two smell entirely different. This points to Roja’s method of constructing perfumes around a central mid-to-base accord, with all other elements built outward from that core. This approach can also be observed across other creations from the brand, including the Isola and Aoud collections. The closest reference I’ve been able to sample in relation to Great Britain is Portrayal Man. The key distinction is that Amouage is clearly violet-centered, whereas Great Britain places a much stronger emphasis on leather. That said, I wouldn’t call Great Britain leather-dominant. It leans more toward iris and violet, supported by a structured base of animalic and leathery nuances. That balance is crucial ; it gives the fragrance a distinctly opulent, luxurious character, rather than the more casual impression a leather-forward composition might create. The result is a powdery leather profile with animalic undertones, constructed in a way that feels almost chypre-like. As with much of Roja’s work, it comes very close to the edge stylistically, but never fully tips over it. That makes it quite niche in character, though not necessarily difficult to wear, more situational than anything else. There is a subtle echo of Dior Fahrenheit due to the violet note, but the comparison really ends there.

Great Britain is the most opulent and regal olfactory experience I’ve ever come across. It opens fairly bright initially with subtle hints of citrus and sage, before a delicately powdery touch of mesmerising violet tingles at the senses. Rose and Jasmine are present, providing an eloquently airy and vibrant floral aspect to the scent, however this is short lived to my nose. The star of the show here, on the one hand, is the most magnificent leather accord I’ve had the pleasure of putting my nose on. Comprised primarily of labdanum, it’s beautifully smooth and refined - like the soft brown leather inside the Houses of Parliament. On the other hand you’ve got this incredibly addictive orris note which is buttery smooth and powdery, transcending the scent into something otherworldly yet comforting. In the base there’s a general atmosphere of fluffy, musky, creamy elements likely coming from the oakmoss, ambrette and carrot seeds which elevates the powderiness even further. I adore this perfume with all my heart, it is truly the best scent I’ve ever smelled in my life and I’m incredibly grateful to finally own a bottle. This is by far the most incredible take on a leathery Chypre and whilst it does bear similarity to Chanel’s Cuir de Russie, I find Great Britain to have exceptional depth and quality beyond what Chanel can provide. This is a true work of art and a modern classic.

I was told that Roja created this scent to capture the true essence of what English Royalty would smell like. He wanted the wearer to envision being inside the palace, in the presence of the royal family and natural scent of luxury that surround them. Opulence and prestige is what this fragrance is suppose to illustrate, from the woody floors, to the leather, velvet and satin furbishing etc. This concoction ultimately represents and encompasses the persona of "Great Britain" through the scent of the wearer, for the noses of his/her audience. This is a sweet, leathery, powder scent. I don't get much citrus in this but it is there, very subtle, gives it a clean and fresh vibe. The labdanum and leather accords combine with wood are the backbones to "Great Britain's" greatness. It's suitable for a man or woman 40-60 years of age. Like wine, you want to drink it at its peak. You need to wear this at the proper age. If your too young, you'll smell old. If you're too old, you'll smell like you're trying to be young. This scent is delicate it needs to be understood to be worn properly. Special occasions would be most appropriate for this scent but it could be an all day everyday for the right person. **Projection 10/10 this scent it gracefully bold **Longevity 10/10 once you get it on its staying

Many of the reviews focus on the comparisons to CdR. So, I thought I would throw my 2 cents in. There are noticeable similarities, but in brief: Great Britain (to my nose at least) is the masculine version of CdR. Now I haven't tried the EDT version of CdR, I have tried the EdP version and own the pure parfum version. The pure parfum is the closet to GB to my nose. Both are classic learther-floral chypres with a old school vintage vibe. GB stays more leathery and less floral VS CdR which is leathery but florals are much more noticeable. The other differnce I noticed is there is more vanilla/sweetness in CdR that's more prominent. I didn't notice before I did a side by side comparison. GB has more animalic nuances then CdR. GB has more projection and longevity the CdR. CdR (pure parfum) is nearly a skin scent after an hour or so. As far as cost goes, surprisingly similiar. My CdR pure parfum cost 230.00 for 15mls which on a per ml basis is close to the cost of GB. So, to sum up: both are vintage floral leather fragrances. CdR leans more feminine, GB leans more masculine. GB is more leathery and animalic, CdR is more floral with more noticeable touches of vanilla/sweetness. The cost is similar on a per ml basis. And finally, you can't go wrong with either...

I've had the opportunity to affordably obtain a bunch of Roja decants. I just can't believe I'm sniffing a 1250pounds per 100ml perfume, craaaaaazy prices. But admitted: this is crazy far above average good as well. Wow, the initial blast of an animal library with just rubbed in warm leather seats where someone is smoking a pipe while squeezing a lemon is just incredible. Overwhelming, something old on the one hand, exciting on the other, with major character excuding age, wisdom, anciennity. I think it's awesome. Sillage is just there; not too loud, not too close to the skin. With that projection it just stays and stays and stays, gently evolving through many different notes. It's amazing how Roja Dove is able to blend many notes to a round fragrance where each note has its place, pops up and supports as it's supposed to... It's the masterful blending of the old Guerlain/Creed masters, brought to current age with excitingly modern results. Can't wait to sniff more, and I'm gonna cherish my few remaining sprays, knowing sadly enough I'll never in my life will be able to afford a bottle of this heavenly delight.

This is without a doubt one of the best, or perhaps even the best leather fragrance ever made. Its opulence is monumental, right from the first whiff. Think Buckingham Palace, think gigantic library filled with millions of old books wrapped in precious leather covers, think humongous palatial chambers with sky-high ceilings, decorated with priceless paintings. It does feel very expensive, exclusive, rare, but at the same time very familiar, like you’ve known it forever. Certainly a masterful composition! One thing to be aware of: It does contain a fair amount of material that resembles castoreum, which becomes more pronounced after an hour or so into its development. So, it might not be ideal for those of you who don’t like this particular note. That’s why you should test it for at least 3-4 hours on skin to get the whole picture. The price of this beauty is extremely high, unfortunately, which is why I will most likely stick to the next affordable alternative, namely Cuir De Russie by Chanel. It still remains, despite recent reformulation, a good leather fix for me.

I can not seem to get along with this one. I have a discovery atomizer, and I need to part with it. I find the leather truly unpleasant. Too raw. It doesn't smell like any leather I have ever smelled. It actually smells like leather that was not cured properly and is rotting. It opens with a big, starchy orris note, but it goes into rotting animal stench too quickly, where it remains for too long, before drying down into some sort of amber base that smells like it's a mix of a typical synthetic amber accord with a good dose of natural labdanum in it. On the Cuir de Russie debate... I don't see any resemblance whatsoever to that most perfect and supremely elegant leather perfume (pre-Les Exclusifs EDP, anyway. Can't say the same about the current formulation). They both contain a heavy dose of leather, but that's about all they have in common. They are totally different types of leather and totally different perfumes. Apples and oranges in my mind. Would not have thought of Cuir de Russie had others not mentioned it.

Is Great Britian the best leather scent ever created? Well you'd have to state from what point of view. In terms of current marketplace ..perhaps yes. Those that claim Chanel Cuir d Russie is close... Absolutely No. I've tested the current formulas and those are sharp, rough brutish compared to the silky refinement of Great Britian.. Could Great Britian hold a top 10 place in the historical realm of top leather perfumes ? Yes. Castorum has long been used for it's leathery nuances so it perplexes me why someone would mention castorum as if it's some sort of renegade animalic. It's very difficult to create a traditional leather fragrance without it. Heres used much like the 50s leather fragrance tradition..with quite aplomb and finesse to bring out the leather nature. The violet and the leather work well together ...it softens the composition. It's wonderful...it brought back memories of some of the other past leather greats. Is it worth it? It truly is.

Opens leathery and animalic.... settles down super smooth after 15 mins. I love the ambergris with the slight florals... I think ambergris is my favorite note in all of perfume and this makes the best masculine leather fragrance that while feeling heavy and dense also has something about it that's uplifting.... very well balanced and blended. 10/10 Masterpiece. This is my next purchase. PS - One of my very first colognes was Vintage by John Varvatos. I always loved that one and so did my wife... but performance was very weak. This is the first leather fragrance I've found that *kind of* resembles it. Of course this is 10x better.... but Vintage was a "fresh-ish" masculine tobacco/leather.... l tried so many Ormond Jayne and Xerjoff fragrances I thought were going to be similar but more upscale/niche.... but this right here, Great Britain, is the closest I've gotten to it. Again GB is 10x better of course :)

A gorgeous leathery chypre. The perfume opens with notes of bergamot, lemon, and clary sage. The heart is violet, jasmine, and rose de mai. The perfume fairly quickly settles on a dense powdery bed of leathery castoreum surrounded by a plethora of notes including carrot seed, cedar, cade, patchouli, oakmoss, guaiacwood, tolu, styrax resin, ambergris and labdanum. Very opulent and vintage feeling scent recalling a bygone area of decadence but only for animalic lovers. The unisex scent has moderate to strong projection and excellent longevity. Very overpriced but amongst this perfumers best works. Enjoy!

Could well be the best leather I'll ever smell. It's not a leather like in MdO Cuir or Tuscan for eg. it really smells like new car leather seats, but it comes in and out with other things around it where it can go a bit animalic then floral and herbal, with an ambergris base you can properly smell in it. Cuir de Russie is a good comparison but it is elevated above. I have put this one in my basket many times and talked myself off the ledge :) I want to get it, but I think I'll stick with the decant for the time being.

Roja's Cuir De Russie interpretation....and isn't it brilliant!!! Tremendously expensive, but exquisite blend and smell. Dear moderators please update the notes, as some of the big players of this composition, like violet-orris-and labdanum are totally missing Thanks

This is the best leather perfume I've ever tried. It's so magnificent and opulent, I've never experienced anything like this. Lasts forever, projects beastly, I mean... what's not to like? The price, that's the problem... Hopefully I can get a bottle one day

In terms of quality, this is a step above Chanel CDR and Dior Cuir Cannage. There is no comparison. Great Britain is a well rounded, full bodied leather. Dont be afraid of the castoreum, this is so well balanced.

I can imagine the king of Great Britain wearing this scent. The first 10 seconds it doesn't smell good but after that it smells very good and masculine, a very serious scent that follows the air wherever you go.

Ever smell a perfume and think, « This is a masterpiece type of fragrance »? A few stand out, like Roja Diaghilev & Musk Aoud, Musk Khabib by Bortnikoff, Under My Skin by Francesca Bianchi, and a handful of others. These fragrances are timeless, the kind you’ll still be wearing in the next century. Great Britain by @rojaparfums is one of those gems. Despite what people say, Great Britain isn’t overly animalic. It’s got layers, balanced beautifully with violet and iris floating on a rich leather base. Think more of a sleek, new leather car interior rather than something dirty or suede-like. There’s a touch of animalics, giving it a refined Cuir de Russie vibe with powdery chypre notes. As it develops, the iris becomes buttery and almost good enough to eat, with warm amber notes popping up. The dry down is a lovely mix of musk, oakmoss, and patchouli. Totally unisex and elegant, it’s hard to imagine anyone being bothered by this scent. It performs amazingly well, giving off a beautiful, old-money aura that lasts around eight hours. Two sprays in my elbow. On the initial spray, it smells super old school. After the initial smell, the wonderful violet combined with the buttery orris and tiny bit of rose and balsamic resins come out and it smells wonderful. It reminds me a little of portrayal man. Doesn’t have a massive projection on me unlike sweetie aoud but it does have a nice and soft silage. Seems like it might become a skin scent pretty soon on my skin which isn’t great cause I really like the violet smell in this. Edit: after 3 hours the violet combo has gone to the back and now it’s a patchouli bomb. Kinda reminds me of Pardon now. It’s projecting much more now so I retract my early statement of it being weak. Edit edit: after 8-9 hours, it’s become a skin scent on me. Pretty complex fragrance, the way it changes so much. Very interesting. Definitely a decant first for those who are thinking of getting it.

This is definitely a more masculine leaning version of Chanel's Cuir de Russie and may very well be a rekindling of the way it smelled back in the 20's and 30's. I own both and the similarities are undeniable. They are probably 95% the same but the Roja is a little more leather and a little less indolic jasmine so therefore more wearable by both sexes. I am a bit disappointed only because I remember this smelling much different when I tested it in the store but my nose much have been off that day because, once I bought it, all I could smell was Cuir de Russie. Majority on here also seem to agree that this is definitely a remake Cuir de Russie. P.S. The sillage and longevity are much better than current Chanel and the notes are much more obvious and clearly defined, so there is absolutely no denying the superior quality.

This smells great. Chanel's Cuir de Russie is, I think, better. Not to belabor the endless comparisons--but one can't ignore them. Great Britan smells most similar to CdR in the opening--a fresh, floral, linalool-rich leather accord that is both light and animalic. Great Britain dries down more contempo-masculine though...perhaps Iso E Super, Ambroxan, maybe some more aromatic/herbal notes and the like. Chanel remains more quietly elegant, floral, and a bit sweeter. If these were the same price, I'd love to own little bottles of each of enjoy the slightly different nuances between them. Priced as is, though, CdR wins the spot for the better price point (not that it's cheap, mind you!!) and the more austere elegance.

A powdery leather also built around the DNA of A Goodnight Kiss. The opening profile is similar to Chypré Extraordinaire but from the mid it's progressing to completely different direction. Projection is more pronounce on the powdery facet. The floral is much more toned down making it more slightly on the masculine side. In the mid there is subtle sweetness and dewy vibe from violet. Progressing to drydown leathery facets become more and more alive from labdanum. The leather here is soft and like the smell of suede nothing offensive or animalic. This is an upper class yet reserved leathery expression.

This has been reformulated beyond belief. What used to be an impressive leather perfume is now a pale shade of its former self - poor lasting power, low sillage. What you’ll get is 30 minutes (no joke!) of beautiful top notes and then you’ll witness a dissapearing act. While the prices of Roja perfumes have been considerably lowered, the performance has become highly questionable.

It could be a love-it-or-hate-it fragrance for Britain. A powdery, iris-infused sweet yet cold cocoa blended with real ambergris (the classic Roja blend of a hundred notes), making it hard to tell what you’re smelling and when — but above all, it’s a scent that truly appeals to a mature individual.

Ok, wtf. Just took a quick look on Roja Perfumes website & it seems that Great Britain has gotten cheaper... Haven't had the chance to test the 'cheaper' version out but if the difference ends up being marginal, I might just go cry in my shower.

writing this mid test but so far this smells kinda shitty. It starts off kinda fecal? it had a very weird start for me, not total fecal smell but also the best way i could describe it (keep in mind this is a sample so maybe that has to do something with it but i don't know) after the opening it's alot more appealing im getting alot of leather and orris and maybe some citrus?, anyways i wouldn't recommend this as a blindbuy at all like it's a good fragrance but oh boy, it's alot, not really but, so far as of writing this i could maybe see this as a buy but it's kinda missing something i feel like, maybe a smoky note in here but also that could be because it kinda smellls like T-rex without the smoky burnt cigar-ish smell. Opening: 3/10 Heart:7/10 Longevity: N/A Sillage: N/A Projectivity: N/A Conclution I recommend smelling it, even if you aren't buying it just cause it's a very likable perfume, but you just have to be able to live through the opening Total: 5/10 ( just know i havent smelt the whole fragrance yet like im in the process of the transition of opening to heart so)

I deleted my original review, as I think I must have had a bad bottle. In short, it smelled like a used public lavatory and air freshener. I exchanged it no questions asked for a replacement bottle. Now I properly experience a light, fluffy, dry, musky leather. Slight "new car smell". Powdery and buttery throughout the life of the fragrance. Initially from the oris butter but carried through by the very detectable carrot seed, iris and ambrette. More floral than my usual wears with the jasmine and rose. Dry woods with dry (not sticky) balsamics. Musky and light throughout, but a powerhouse. I wouldn't call this particularly animalic. Performance-wise, this has enormous projection and sillage. I sprayed it in the morning, and, upon returning that evening, the room scent was very noticeable. This is a beautiful imperial leather scent, my only criticism would be that it smells like an antique and if you don't enjoy powdery scents, I'd recommend you avoid it. Obviously the price will be an issue for some.

After wearing this for a few days,and checking the official site very time i try a Roja perfume,i go ask myself who keeps voting animalic notes,as castoreum and civet in a lot of scents.GB ,as almost all of Roja's creations has ambergris,not civet as a main ingredient...

I had high hopes for this but it was like a trip to the Elephant House at the zoo- perhaps a very posh zoo . It does get interesting on the initial dry down but hard to get that first animal leather blast out of one's nose.

A rather unspecific start that dries down to a nice leather base. I would never call this “Haut Luxe”. £1250 is absurd.

This is a remarkable fragrance. The best I have ever owned and am likely to own. I love leather; it is this visceral adoration of mine. New car smell, I think, is perhaps where it is derived from - I so vividly remember it from when I was a child. Leather as a note is tough - done badly, as in Tom Ford’s ombré leather, it is headache inducing. Done properly, with remarkable softness OR with unrelenting vigour, as in LV’s nouveau monde, it is the most magical note. GB smells opulent. The orris, and violet, work so cohesively with the leather base note to project this air of such old-world luxury. The comparison to cuir de russie is lamentable but necessary - do they smell similar? A touch. This is far better, fortunately, as one would expect at such a price, too! To the typical nose I think the kind of reaction one will garner wearing this is that of being told you smell rather like Parma violets. I, personally, quite like the notion of smelling like Parma violets on a new leather chair. This costs, as stated, a sizeable sum. I cannot emphasise enough how fortunate I feel to be able to purchase and enjoy such luxuries. One minor, very minor, con. Projection is rather nuanced. It is there, there is a scent bubble, but it is not particularly brash as in the case of nouveau Monde. Whether this is good or not is equivocal, but it certainly does not do too much to lessen my love for this. Roja is a controversial house. There will be many who read this review and perhaps perceive it to be pompous, florid word salad. I think, ultimately, you do pay your money and take your choice - my choice is Great Britain. A splendid fragrance.

Regal, smooth, and captivating. A leather perfume accentuated with the delicacy of flowers and the powderness of musk. This is the great, Great Britian by Roja Dove From the very beginning, you will experience a violet powdery opening with hints of sweetness & soury lemony notes as well as soft bergamot. It has a leathery & musky tone to it. Three minutes in, it starts to become more leathery & musky with more powdery notes while keeping the same level of sweetness In the heart you’ll feel an elegant freshly cut bouquet & delicate petals of violet jasmine & sour roses with an earthy, creamy undertone. The leather is smooth & elegant with an animalic touch, as for the musk, it is powdery & soft. Every other note remains the same as in the opening, with just a bit less of sweetness, you can sense the citruses starting to fade a bit while ambergris are warming in the background This is smooth, very elegant, & classy. The base is warm, deep & smooth as it’s ambery, leathery, musky, fury & creamy with hints of deep animalic notes from castoreum, green soury oakmoss & earthy tones with the elegant floral bouquet still lingering from the heart. I’m also getting spicy woody sweet balsamic notes with patchouli. Everything is well blended here & it’s a bit hard to single each note on its own That is how masterfully this blend was made to perfection. This blend is complex, harmonious & very luxurious. This is a very majestic scent. It smells like inside parliament which contains of wood and leather. Thus, it demands a lot of attention. So you have wood, leather and rose as a symbol of Britain England, also the symbol of Monarch which has rose and the violet which can be symbolized as the person in England very delicate can be supported and flourish with the strength of leather, wood and rose. Now the Ambrette has a musk and slightly metallic vibe about it which is mixed with strong leather and ambergris. This combination of these triple animalic accords give that castoreum vibe to this fragrance. This fragrance definitely has a chypre(oakmoss, labdanum and patchouli) old school vibe about it. So this is definitely not everyone's cup of tea. You must like old dna fragrances to really appreciate this masterpiece. The dry down on this beauty is animalic, powdery, leather and soapy. A beautiful old school classy mild leather fragrance. I love this so much, you can tell the high quality on this. Really well blended, unbelievable.

This is a classic leathery woody chypre fragrance....which starts with a burst of powdery citruses giving it the classic chypre style commonly found in Roja’s chypre creations... Soon the powdery floral heart appears with its powdery iris & violet, which continues to slowly transforms into powdery leathery woody base... The ambrette & musk here give it a little animalic nuances but it is very mild and blended very well with leathery woods.... I own Chanel Cuir de Russie EDT produced somewhere around 2013 and although I am saving every drop grabbed out my decant of Great Britain and started comparing them. Well... They are very much alike to me. One difference is I have a strange feeling Great Britain is very greasy/oily on my skin while Cuir de Russie EDT stays fairly and relatively dry. Also, it’s like comparing a heavyweight boxer to an English aristocrat. Do they have anything in common and if so - what is it? Well... they have the same DNA. Boxer is a son of the aristocrat. This Roja has huge parameters though. One spray for over a day is more than enough. I would suggest you to decant it to a smaller bottle with a small atomizer and apply at least from a few centimeters distance. Otherwise you will choke people out. Nothing more than a love. I guess it’s the first Roja Dove perfume that really „clicked” with me.

How original a little bittle more animalic leather version of cuir de Russie. I don’t mind since there are several perfumes in this category, but Roja really has to think about why he copies that much? And I mean 1500€ and it smells almost identical to cuir de tissue which is 180€.. and no the quality are also almost identical.. I don’t think the exclusives of Chanel lack quality ingredients they definitely buy their flowers at dior. This one as a perfume it’s very nice and good that’s not the problem.. but price and performance is definitely not there. I would rather to pay 400€ for a 100ML just because of the name and bottle otherwise quality wise it could be under the 250 for me. Most special one stays enigma parfum for me and for the hot weather elysium PC

A vintage-styled leather fragrance, riding on civet, violets, and powder. I'm reminded at times of L'Apres L'Ondee and L'Heure Bleue in parfum, Chanel's Cuir de Russie, FM's Une Fleur de Cassie, and the better formulations of Bal à Versailles. There is a lot of depth here, at times coming across like Turkish delight, at times wet hay, sometimes a cosmetic iris like Misia, and throughout a very rounded leather note. I have a special fondness for this style of perfume, and Great Britain is quite possibly my favorite scent currently in production. Just goes to show the magic of vintage perfume isn't really lost to us, you just have to know where to look (and the Roja Dove line is one of those places).

Such a complex fragrance at first, definitely shocking and odd. But then you figure it out and it’s beautiful. A few it reminds me of combined and they are scandal, haute luxe & 15th anniversary HP Absolutely stunning combination and can only be worn with confidence. Roja has really captured the memories of my childhood here, if you are British 🇬🇧 you will know these memories from the offset, it’s spring and autumn all in one. Reminds me of being a kid and being around greenery, leathers and woods.

This is a good leather fragrance and this is coming from someone who absolutely hates leather. This is a very soft, powdery, plush and luxurious, sort of a luxurious car leather interior with some floral aspects to it. Very wearable for a leather perfume and smells amazing in the air. This in my opinion is for more mature crowd. But this smells like money and has a good scent profile. Do give this one a try if you can get your hands on it. It is an interesting leather.

Not worth the price tag in my opinion at all- never bothered if it has quality ingredients, it is very similar to the old classical cuir's by Caron or Chanel or the many niche brands; search well and you can find something of the same. this is for people who view spending $1,645.27 as spending $16.45. But then there is the sickening lure within many enthusiasts to buy this regardless of cost, that thickens with making excuses justifying the purchase.

This perfume sells for $1,380. My wife and close friend, non-fragrance people, were not at all impressed. I love it, but honestly it's really not worth the price tag. In fact from the atomizer it smells like baby wipes. It does smell fantastic when it dries down though. I mean super incredible, but you know what just get Carner Cuirs. Cuirs is a little darker, but it's $130. As opposed to $1,380 LMFAO

Definitely a high quality version of CDR by Chanel w a big dose of violet. If you’re not a fan of violet like me, you still might enjoy this as it’s very charming. A gentleman scent that can be a signature if you’re not gonna be in the heat all day during summer. Personally wouldn’t recommend it for women as it dries down rather masculine. 8/10 w great performance.

Oh my days this is so good a life style choice a way of life .... Aristocratic clubbable and very fancy leather and suede like on a yacht or private jet !! Only drawback is the first five seconds is quite fishy pungeant and a shock but that soon goes ...is it the ambergris ?? I get almost a digestive biscuit and flowery vibe during the dry down ...

If this is what Great Britain smells like, I want nothing to do with it. This is a headache inducing fragrance that is heavily plastick synthetic smell that overwhelms the senses. This is a very very screechy "leather" that is more akin to rotting leather boot than the luxurious and opulent leather I would expect from a house like Roja. 2/10

The two notes that usually turn me away are leather and animalics, so I prepared myself to gag on this, but I’m pleasantly suprized. The addition of violet that appears in a few Roja fragrances, (for example, oceana), really smoothes the animalics and leather out and creates a really sophisticated fragrance. Well done.
