Just sharing my thoughts on this one. Smell it from the cap and atomiser and I get heaps of galbanum, reminds me a lot of the old chanel no19 edt (the newer edp has no galbanum which is weird because that’s what made it different...& great!) Spray on skin and there is a kick of short-lived pink (not black) pepper, which makes way to grapefruit pulp (not the rind nor the flesh). It’s clean. Like the most HD of sounds listening on those ridiculously audiophile speakers that stand on spikes in a room full of plush objects to soak up the reverb. I do get the ‘lemony warmth’ of nutmeg in here, most of the time I’m at odds with nutmeg but again, this is clean, not rounded, not sharp, but clean. I already smell the sandalwood, which is nice coz i just got out the shower, I wash with Indian sandalwood soap from Karnataka, nicely complementing here. The mids see the grapefruit float to the background & the labdanum to come to the fore but not much. Here I get a similarity to Amouage’s Dia Man. The base is where I can pick up some more sandalwood galbanum & nutmeg. Vetiver is listed here but I get none of it. It’s also listed here that this smells like Roja’s vetiver (which I also have in both Parfum Cologne & Parfum), but I get zero similarity to those. Also don’t detect much oakmoss, cedar nor any guaiac wood Visually, this is for a cream-coloured shirt which looks like it never needs ironing, tucked into pleat-less khaki slacks, matching RM Williams-ish boots driving a white MG TF-1500 convertible with tan leather seats on a moderately sunny Spring day to the local arboretum to picnic with your girl who just happens to be a Baroness. You sip Champagne whilst she reads you her favourite lines from selected Marcel Proust poetry. This is 3rd generation old money.

This literally smells like money, especially the dry down. Very pleasant scent.

Good stuff. Objectively good. Very earthy, medicinal and balsamic. Smells like an aisle of natural oils, soaps and potions in a holistic super market. Smells like a deep floral tea concoction. I don't know who would really want to walk around smelling like this... maybe a wizard named Oscar.
