Lost in Paris exists to challenge perceptions, especially for those who dismissed Roja as a brand catering to “mature” tastes. Lost in Paris is beautiful, wearable, and most importantly...fun. Roja doesn’t often do fun, but this? This is a playful gourmand done with luxury in mind. While it’s meant to evoke Crêpe Suzette, my nose picks up a rich, caramel, buttery butterscotch. It’s sweet, creamy, and laced with a salty butteriness that feels incredibly realistic. LIP opens with a bright burst of citrus and a boozy kick before settling into its decadent heart. Unlike other gourmands that lean heavily on spice, Lost in Paris achieves depth without raiding the spice rack. Yes, the clove and cinnamon are present, but they’re blended so seamlessly that they enhance rather than overpower. And to those claiming this scent doesn’t evolve—did we smell the same fragrance? You didn’t catch the citrus overdose in the opening? The transition to that mouthwatering, salty butteriness? Or how the saltiness softens, letting the vanilla and spices take center stage? Come on. What truly blows me away is its versatility. Every other Roja gourmand I’ve tried has felt serious, and very buttoned-up. Lost in Paris is the opposite—it’s playful, bold, and brash while maintaining the effortless luxury we all come to expect from Roja Parfums. It doesn’t cater to a specific gender or age; it’s for anyone who appreciates opulence with a sense of fun. Some might call it “commercial,” but there’s a difference between approachable and mainstream. This is the kind of scent that is easy to make sense of no matter where you are in your fragrance journey but if you were looking for something “weird”, this ain’t it. And let’s talk performance...it lasts. Easily 10-12+ hours on skin, with strong projection for at least 6-7 hours before settling closer to skin. On fabric? It’s a beast. Hours in, it’s still radiating from my sleeve without me even trying to catch a whiff. Compared to Roja’s typically refined and restrained compositions, this one screams—and I love it. Lost in Paris is one of the most decadent gourmand experiences I’ve encountered. It smells expensive, performs beautifully, and stands as a true 1 of 1 in scent experience. When something smells this exclusive, with undeniable quality, I can’t be mad at the price tag. Blame capitalism, not Rolls-Royce, for making luxury goods expensive. And if this fragrance is the Rolls-Royce of gourmands, expect to pay accordingly. But here’s the thing—if a high price point bothers you, this scent simply wasn’t made for you, and that’s okay. Not everything is meant for everyone. That doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy the experience—head to a Roja counter, try it on your skin, and bask in its beauty for the day. It won’t cost you a cent to smell incredible. My verdict? Based on my PAGE rating system (Poor, Average, Good, Exceptional), Lost in Paris earns a solid G—verging on E. Its scent, uniqueness, quality, performance, and exclusivity make it a true standout. I don’t wear price tags—I wear what makes me feel extraordinary. And this? This is worth every drop. Roja Parfums Lost in Paris - Review I’ve been sampling for a week and a half now, with a bottle on the way. Here are my initial thoughts: Roja has released a few fragrances on the sweeter side in the past few months with Aoud Extraordinaire, Chou Chou, and now Lost in Paris. Both Aoud Extraordinaire and Chou Chou were lackluster releases, for me. I was intrigued when Lost and Paris was released and I saw the notes. 7 of the notes in the composition are in my top 10 favorite notes. Now to the scent. I enjoy the scent, but it doesn’t put me in the mindset in the way Roja was marketing this fragrance. I’ve never been to Paris, and never had a crepe so I can’t make a correlation there. The opening is spot on with the listed top notes though. A blast of orange hits you in the face right away. It’s more of a bitter orange than a mélange of sweet and juicy oranges. Very quickly (A couple seconds), a rum note comes through adding extraordinary warmth to the bright citrus, making it such a pleasant contrast and a very nice smell. This only lasts for 5 minutes unfortunately, and I would’ve been content if this was the linear scent through the life of the fragrance. As this dries down, an overly sweet burnt sugar and caramel note comes through. Think of the scent of crème brûlée. I do really enjoy the butter accord as it adds a creamy, almost milky facet to the mid. If the butter accord wasn’t there to smooth this composition out, this would’ve been a mess in my opinion. It sure is a gourmand lovers dream at this point. Now to my least favorite part of the scent. A lovely vanilla and many spices come through, making this scent come together to feel like a fuzzy, warm blanket hugging your body. Why the overdose of clove though?! The clove turns me off and is almost headache inducing at times, if I’m not fully prepared for it. It’s super heavy and is a large part of the projection, unfortunately. On to performance. Hands down a beast of a performer and probably top 5 in my collection based on the collective longevity and projection. Every time I wore this, I could only bear two sprays as this projected heavily for 8 hours. The life of the fragrance went on for 18 hours, and both my wife and I noticed it 14 hours later when we woke up the next day. Be prepared for a beast! Overall, I think this is a nice fragrance and is much better than Roja’s other two latest creations. However, I long for a better dry-down only because the clove can be overbearing and take over the whole dry-down. Unfortunately for us guys out there that don’t enjoy feminine scents, this does turn to the feminine side after a couple hours on skin but many will consider this unisex. The opening is WOW, the mid is good, and the dry-down is MEH. The performance is beast mode and will contend for one of my strongest fragrances. The moral of the story is, this should be called “Lost in Christmas” as this conjures festive moments and reminds you of the warmth and love of the holiday season. Thank you for reading!

I absolutely agree with the review below. It’s a lovely scent, but it’s a departure from what we’re used to, with a very excessive price point to boot. The scent itself is great. The fragrance opens up with a burst of orange, almost too much orange if I’m honest, I reckon this part of the fragrance will be the most divisive part that will determine whether someone will like or dislike it. I personally would like that opening to be turned down a tad, but don’t worry wait 2 mins and the magic will start to happen. Once the intense opening fades Grand Marnier appears giving the orange notes a boozy liquor feel, they definitely mastered that boozy note as I pick up a sweet toffee note infused with cognac. I got a milky chocolate note too, but that was very fleeting and never progressed into anything. As the fragrance hits the mid a vanilla sponge cake starts to emerge from the back behind the orange, this becomes more evident as it dries down. The orangey boozy notes soften and the sponge cake smell begins to take over. It smells gorgeous to be honest, like a sponge cake soaked in orange liqueur. The buttery note really stands out in the mid. It adds a creamy texture, without turning into a typical vanilla. It’s delicious. However, the mid doesn’t really evolve much going into the base. It stays very linear and becomes a softer experience the further it goes on. It’s a very comforting scent that I can imagine will smell amazing around the festive period. The fragrance performance is absolutely insane. The performance, projection, and silage I give 10/10. No complaints whatsoever, it’s beastly for a Roja fragrance. As a fan of Roja, I will recommend based on scent, but to older Roja heads this will feel like night and day in comparison to older compositions. This is where the new direction of the brand becomes evident to me. In terms of price, it’s excessive and clearly overpriced for a gourmand. It doesn’t have the appeal of PDLN 2 which is far superior and now discontinued (i’m still grieving over that one). 😭😭 As for the newly titled “Prestige Collection” it doesn’t belong in that collection with a purple cap, it feels out of place and I don’t see the connection or reasoning as to why. There’s some changes and decisions at the moment many Roja fans are either unhappy about, or questioning what’s happening. If you got 1k spare sitting around absolutely get it, if you don’t, and need to sell a kidney, there’s other gourmands that scratch that itch for you at a vastly lower price point. I do want to get a bottle, but I will wait and see if I can score one at a discounted rate further down the line.

Lost in Paris was a fragrance I have been desperate to smell, one because the notes sound fantastic and two because it seems like such a departure from what was once such a brilliant house, I needed to know whether or not I should be disappointed. To my surprise, this is actually a wonderful fragrance; it really nails the brief and smells fantastically delicious. This scent is based around the traditional French dessert Crepe Suzette - a soft crepe fried in butter, caramelised sugar, orange zest and Grand Marnier orange liqueur - and that’s exactly what this smells like. It opens with an overdose of orange, in every form you can imagine - freshly squeezed orange juice, candied orange rind and of course that slightly boozy Grand Marnier all bubbling away in a pan. In the base, you’re greeted with wafts of intensely sweet and sugary caramel and a buttery vanilla; it smells as delicious as it sounds. The intensity of the orange dissipates after around 30 mins, but continues to linger gently throughout the life of the scent. As Roja’s gourmands go it’s got nothing on Sweetie Aoud, which I consider an absolute masterpiece, but it’s still significantly better than the majority of gourmand fragrances I’ve smelled out there. The only downside is of course the price, it’s ridiculous. Such an obscene and unwarranted price is not a new phenomenon with Roja fragrances, but here it feels completely unjustified. I really like this scent, but I wouldn’t spend more than £300 on it. I also don’t feel it deserves to have a purple cap, it doesn’t fit in with the Haute Luxe collection - now renamed the ‘Prestige Collection’ for no apparent reason. It’s a lovely fragrance, but represents a sad departure from what used to be my favourite house of all time.

I was really looking forward to smelling such a clear gourmand scent from Roja and I knew right away that I would love it. The fact that it had been criticized was just a sure sign of the sophistication that the scent represents - I personally don’t like overwhelmingly strong one-dimensional edible scents, it has to be done with style. The woody bed with indulgent, gentle spices and thick, cuddly Vanilla accompanied by sensual Musk and Ambergris is covered with Caramelized citruses and elegantly delicious different kind of gourmand facets. Sweet and salty nuances are dancing fluidly, seamlessly, addictively. The creamy, dreamy, buttery, silky smooth texture is incredibly attractive and elegant yet I can’t help but think about the smell of various freshly baked pastries floating in the air. The scent has a golden, bright, luminous and vibrant aura. Simplified, this scent is a creamy, buttery toffee with a hint of mandarin wrapped in a cashmere blanket, but the scent is adult-like and dignified with a subdued performance that is not at all too weak and lasts a long time. What comes to the fruits: I love them in fragrances, but I’m so glad that nothing but different kind of Oranges have been put into this fragrance. That makes this unique. They are so amazingly well made and this scent has the best citrus aroma along with Burlington 1819. I haven’t come across a similar gourmand scent that exudes luxury and opulence. That’s why I’m completely in love with Lost in Paris. This is Gourmand Extraordinaire. Thank you for reading, I hope my review was helpful. I would appreciate a lot if you want to follow me on IG and/or YouTube (English subtitles): @ninamariahperfumes It gives me a lot of motivation to write more. 🤗

Lost in Paris by Roja Parfums is an olfactory masterpiece that captures the essence of a luxurious Parisian patisserie. From the very first spray, this fragrance commands attention with its stunning opening. The sharp, zesty bitterness of blood orange is perfectly balanced with the tang of fresh orange peel, creating a vibrant and uplifting introduction that sparkles on the skin. As it begins to evolve, the true gourmand heart emerges, enveloping you in an irresistible warmth. The transition into a sumptuous blend of sugar, creamy butter, and decadent caramel feels like stepping into a kitchen where a chef is crafting the finest confections. The dry down is rich, indulgent, and utterly mouthwatering, yet it avoids becoming cloying due to the perfect harmony of its elements. The performance of Lost in Paris is nothing short of spectacular. Its sillage is enormous, effortlessly filling a room and leaving a memorable trail that lingers for hours. This fragrance is unapologetically bold and built for those who revel in standing out. Longevity is also exceptional, easily lasting well over 12 hours on skin and even longer on fabric. Lost in Paris is a fragrance that feels like an experience—a blend of sophistication, indulgence, and charm. Ideal for colder months or evening wear, it’s the perfect companion for anyone who wants to turn heads and immerse themselves in a world of sweet, Parisian delight. A true gourmand treasure. I rate this masterpiece 10/10.

I really wanted to like this, it's a beautiful bottle, and I love getting lost in Paris, but it's a dislike for me. It has that kind of citrus you find in Pine-sol, and that is the most prominent note I get, the butter is there in the mid, like in the popcorn note in L'eau de Parfum Cirque du Soleil but that fades, which is good, b/c who wants to smell like butter for $1200? The opening is much prettier than the dry down, I smell the mandarin in the opening and that is pleasant. The vanilla, sugar, cashmere and anything else is just lost in the strong Pine-sol like citrus, which I'm guessing is the bitter orange. Do not blind buy this, for $1200, I was expecting something spectacular, and this is most certainly not. If you love the scent profile, wait for the dupe, I'm sure Dua will do a great job. I have their version of Chou Chou and the Roja version, and I refer the Dua version. Update 2/22/25 Just like I thought the Dua version is so much better, the Roja original has that Nezara viridula southern green stink bug smell, that I just can't tolerate. I have got that smell in other fragrances as well, I'm not sure which ingredient gives that smell. If you're familiar with this bug, you know what I'm talking about. 10/6/25: I caved and bought a full bottle, no regrets, and I must say that the longevity is really good out of the bottle. I'm not sure what was going on with my sample that I got from Scent Splits where the longevity was so poor.

A gain the legend Roja did it , created magical and luxurious blend. This was a total blind buy, based only on my trust in Roja craftsmanship & his previous fantastic creations, and wow today i tried it , giving it a full wearing, and wow it is a gourmand but very special and luxurious , truly addictive smell . It starts strong but in a very good way with a buttery bitter orange boozy note which calms down soon but the creamy orange cake smell still strong , projecting very well , as it goes more into the dry down , you can feel nuances of cinnamon & vanilla but they are there at the background while the creamy orange still the maestro here . The performance here is excellent and i consider it to be one of the main reasons that made this creation lovely one for me... it is strong & very smooth in the same time. There is similarity between it and Kemi Hermetic Well done Roja Kemi Hermetic 🫶🏻🌹🫶🏻🌹🫶🏻

I’m still fighting myself on how to write proper review for this. First of all Lost in Paris was one of the most insane blind buys I did in a long time. Second, relieved to say it was 100% worth it. At first spray I wasn’t sure how I felt about it and it remind me of few other fragrance that have similar profile but the more I wore it, the magic opened up in the dry down and sillage of the fragrance. The whiffs I was getting through the day, even though the fragrance is light powdery, sweet, with sweet sugared citruses, it lasts on my skin good 6-8 hours. The way Roja does powdery dry downs is absolutely my favorite. It’s so addicting and makes you constantly come back for another sniff. I so wanted to say don’t bother, just get Akro bake or something similar but Lost in Paris is absolutely stunning and so much prettier than any of the compared in that profile. It also reminds me of Symphonium from Xerjoff but minus that bitterness, with smooth vanilla buttery nuances. I can’t even put it to words lol but I know that my family has been consistently telling me I smell really good.

I love this perfume so much, it was live at first sniff. When I wear Lost In Paris, I’m transported back to my childhood, standing in the kitchen with my mom, mixing butter, sugar, and cinnamon for our favourite cake. The opening is bright and playful, with mandarin and blood orange adding a zesty spark, but it quickly melts into a rich, buttery and boozy sweetness. The heart of caramel and sugar feels warm and comforting, like the scent of freshly baked treats filling the house. As it dries down, the base becomes luxurious. It feels indulgent, like wearing a cashmere sweater scented with warm spices. People always notice when I wear it and ask which perfume I wear. Its rich, slightly oily texture makes me imagine it’s packed with precious oils, and it lingers on my skin for hours, leaving an unforgettable impression. Yes, it’s expensive. But for me Lost In Paris is more than a fragrance—it’s a memory, a comfort, and a little slice of edible heaven. I absolutely love it.

art in a bottle, this is beautiful, it encapsulates a feeling, even if you never experienced it first hand. You can close your eyes, smell this, and instantly be transported into those cute drawings of a French Bakery, where croissants were just baked, made with the most high quality ingredients possible, the inside is still smoking, buttery soft and rich in flavour, the outside hits that orangey taste, thats what you can smell. Its like a Margiela Replica bottle, where you get EXACTLY the feeling they are going for, but way more extreme in price, and with the highest quality ingredients available. As much as i love this, i couldn't bring myself to pay upwards of a thousand euros for a single bottle, maybe in the future i can get a half full bottle, or even just 30 ml, for this fragrance to me is almost not even for wearing, but for imagining

  • em inglês

It reminds me of an orange creamsicle in the opening, and then I encounter the vanilla blending in smoothly. Everything in here is cohesive, and nothing seems out of place. Everything in the top and heart notes can be identified with a couple of sniffs, but the vanilla and ambergris stand out the most from the base. Harmoniously gourmand, but not overly sweet or cloying. I can't justify the retail price or even the prices suggested by discounters. Did I still buy it? Yes, only because I've never smelled anything like it before, and I kept thinking about it. If a dupe or another alternative with a similar scent profile existed, I wouldn't hesitate to buy it after finishing this bottle. A gentle reminder to wear your fragrances, regardless of how expensive they are.

  • em inglês

An elevated gourmand that is truly in a class of its own. The initial experience is highly unconventional, led by a surprisingly realistic pairing of blood orange and butter. This gives way to a decadent heart where a subtle wash of rum meets the sweet, bitter complexity of burnt sugar. In the dry down, the base notes combine seamlessly, anchored by the pronounced spice of clove and the arid structure of cedarwood. The resulting narrative is evocative: a French patisserie and a local pub, their atmospheric scents of fresh goods and spirits mingling into one seamless, year-round signature. This is an assertive and distinctive fragrance that justifies its high-end positioning by offering unparalleled performance and conceptual depth. Those who get it, get it.

@Olgita there is absolutely no difference between oud, oudh, and aoud. oudh is closest to the arabic spelling of the word (using the english alphabet, obviously). some houses spell it aoud (montale, mancera, roja dove), which is a more european spelling of the word. there is no difference, one is not more 'chic' than the other...it's the same. at least it's the same ingredient--of course the quality of the ingredient will vary from house to house. roja's oud (or aoud) should be wicked high quality given the price, but we'll probably never know. honestly, if anyone that has left a comment below has actually even tried this perfume...i'd be shocked. i'm not a gourmand fan, but i'd try this (if i was a millionaire :-P).

There's nothing like this. I never smelt anything so overly sweet but not overdosing and divine. Price is extreme, but I completely get it and for me it's understandable, For a 10/10 on uniqueness, true unisex, 10/10 on quality, performance beast, mass appealing but complex at the same time, all seasonal, At this point this perfume has it all, truly a luxury item. I get why people tend to hate this, and of course it is because of the price. While current fragcomm are hyping up cheap no name brands without any expertise with predatorial pricing systems (mostly around 20-40$ per bottle) without giving samples or selling discovery sets as standalones you can get why people are hating on this.

  • em inglês

I don’t understand how anyone could hate on Lost in Paris (unless they’re salty on the price which I would agree is exorbitant). But let's be honest, Rojas are not marketed towards "sticker-shock-shoppers"... Lost in Paris is an otherworldly, citrus forward, end-game gourmand for those that can indulge without consequence. The opening reminds me of a boozy orange peel chai drink. Then, the spun burnt sugar dry down starts to emerge to create this otherworldly symphony of woody sweetness. Then there’s the butter accord which reminds me of the smoothest orris/iris note I’ve smelled. The scent trail alone stopped me in my tracks and made me wonder how could a gourmand smell this damn good?

  • em inglês

If heaven exists, I hope it smells like this. The fact that this perfume costs $1400 really frustrates me. I think if it were priced around $250–300, it would have taken the fragrance world by storm. Putting the price aside, the scent is truly magnificent. In the opening, you get high-quality citrus notes mixed with a boozy, liqueur-like accord. Then it starts to smell like a pancake drenched in caramelized sugar syrup — but with a creamy, buttery twist. The sillage is so mouthwateringly delicious that it’s impossible not to get addicted. I think it’s a rich and deeply captivating gourmand. I absolutely loved it — and that makes it all the more heartbreaking.

No words can describe what I smelled, I was in Bloomingdales Dubai mall , with around 12 thousands dirhams , I was planning to buy some perfumes, when I smelled lost in Paris , I stopped , set on chair to understand this gorgeous unique and rare perfume, I love orange note , but here different from any other orange note , it is luxury , different , so pure , and so addictive , I loved it so much , but price hesitate me few minutes , it was 5000 dirhams , actually 4900 dirhams 100 ml, but hesitation not last long , and I paid the full bottle price , this perfume is insane in a bottle , if you can afford it , you have to take this master piece jeweler.

Oh WOW WOW WOW. This is MAGNIFICENT! I went in to pick up something else entirely and while talking to my SA I mentioned that I 'want to smell like a little biscuit and she walked me straight to this one to smell 'just for fun.' I have never had such an immediate reaction to a perfume and asked 'so what's the catch is 3k?' When she told me the price I had to ask again because I actually thought she was joking. But this perfume is an actual masterpiece. Overpriced? Obviously. Have I ever smelled anything that compares? Nope. It lasts ALL DAY and is just so heavenly and delicious. It feels special and the beautiful bottle doesn't hurt either!

  • em inglês

Well I just received my sample and I am royally screwed if I enjoy the dry down as much as the opening. For context: Not a perfume snob nor aficionado. I like what I like. Most of my FBs are lower to mid-priced. I have been willing to treat myself to a pricey bottle of perfume, but, try as I might, couldn't find one that sang to me.... Roja Lost in Paris - I'm listening!! It is clearly ridiculously expensive for a fragrance, regardless how deep your pocket. But it's worth what it's worth subjectively. I'm actually considering a FB (w a mortgage?? lol) if I swoon over the dry down over time.....
