Madison Pour Femme

Yes, Madison is similar to 51 in texture but on my skin this is more fruity and has more amber/ woody incense whereas 51 is silky powdery Orris/Iris. On my skin the predominant notes are: mandarin, black current, Violet , Orris, cedar, incense and Benzoin. Madison also has great projection for a Parfum. I own 7 fragrances from Roja and while I can feel a connection between them, they’re all different and conjure different moods for me. People should feel comfortable to pay what they want. I’m tired of people saying a fragrance is bad because the deem it to expensive. The entire wearing experience is 1st class with Roja Parfums, the feel of the Flacon, the satisfying mist of the atomizer, the sheen of the oils on the skin.

Smells similar to Amouage Blossom Love without the cherry blossom.

This is really nice earlier on, and it's so blended that it's very difficult to tease out any particular notes. When it’s first sprayed, it smells like a bit of a bouquet--could be some jasmine, ylang ylang, violet and rose all together. Something fruity, maybe peach and raspberry together?, but indiscernible. It's slightly powdery/soft. No aldehydes though, so it feels fluffy but doesn't smell vintage. After a while the fruity note smells almost cherry-like, and it seems to lean more towards violet than any other flower. I don't like the heliotrope Roja uses. I complain about it in my other reviews too. It smells bitter in all his perfumes, and Madison is no exception. The scent of this singular, very particular aromachemical lingers on my clothes and sheets for an extra day or two, and I do not like it at all. I liked Madison more in the beginning. It has such an awkward development. You would think those heavier floral notes would stick around, but they don't. It's almost like the base notes should be the top ones.

Great uplifting powdery scent. It has a more modern feel than long kiss goodnight, and the floral / fruity mix is really nice. Unisex.
