Fragrance -Oligarch Roja Dove Bottle from - 2017 This fragrance reminds me of an accomplished yet spiritual gentleman. Oligarch opens on my skin with a fresh,green,a bit fruity and elegant citruses with dominant lemon and with an astonishing touch of clean lavender and a bit herbal thyme. As time goes by,during mid development,bouquet of white flowers,with dominant jasmine and orange blossom, starts to emerge and bring some romance into the game.At this point, in the middle,it is all about white flowers and fruity notes with dominant apple and black currant and with a wisper of some kind of green magic. This all leads into a woody,leathery,musky,ambery and a bit spicy,powdery and herbal base. Oligarch is very complex,classy and sophisticated scent, there is no question about it. Longevity - 10/10(10+ hours) Silage/Projection - 8/10(heavy to moderate projection and silage for the first 2-3 hours,than sits closer to skin for the duration of the scent's evolution) Weather -best in spring,summer and early autumn Age - 25+ Compliments - 9/10 Scent - 10/10 Main notes according to me - lemon,juniper berry,jasmine, orange blossom,lavender,apple,black currant,cedar,spices. The drydown is woody,leathery,musky,ambery and a bit spicy, powdery and herbal and I get some -cedar,leather,musk,amber and spices. Emotions -accomplished yet spiritual gentleman,classy, sophisticated,profound,distinguished,elegant. Occasion -For more or less any ocasion,perfect for special occasions,life defining moments and semi-formal events. You'll get compliments with this one.

Guys, this is a gem. Quite frankly a hidden gem as it was released in 2016. Today was my first time wearing it and I am absolutely in love. To compare this to TDH is like comparing a white Honda Accord to a white Rolls Royce....They are similar because they are both white, LOL. I used to own TDH and to be honest, this ain't even close. For one, I don't see the resemblance at all. TDH is dry, mature and carries a lovely orange note. This one doesn't match any of those characteristics. Oligarch is bright, luscious, extremely universal and happy. Having that said, this is by no means a clubbing scent. This is a serious and very unique fragrance which is why I love it so much. I cant think of anything I have ever smelt that reminds me of this. Literally anyone of any age can rock this. This starts off with a nice, soft blast of incredibly raw lemon with an herbaceous lavender to support the lemon - really sparkly fresh, but not ridiculously sharp. It then slowly transitions into an almost syrupy-warm, yet bright modern-oriental with a fresh-woody backbone. I will say it is remarkably tough to describe this fragrance by notes. I just simply cannot do it due to the quality of the execution of this specific chemistry. At the end of the day, I would describe this as a diabolically-superior fresh fragrance that you won't find anywhere else. Once again...a Roja Parfum I have fallen in love with! Scent: 9/10 Longevity: 9/10 Sillage: 9/10 Yeah...It's that good!

With all the accolades that come with Nio by Xerjoff being considered the best citrus frag , I don’t understand how this frag doesn’t get mentioned as one of the best. Does it have some similarities to TDH? Sure, a little bit. At first spray on paper yes it did remind me of TDH and I primarily dismissed this frag. But the next day I gave it a full wearing and got a different experience. Yea it might have some similarities to TDH but this thing blossoms and dries down into something beyond TDH. The quality doesn’t not compare. Not to take credit away from TDH but this is on another level. Not only the smell but this has to be the best citrus based frag I’ve encountered thus far with this kind of longevity. I’m talking 12hrs plus. How many citrus and fresh frags you know have that kind of lasting power? The overall scent is well blended and full bodied. To make a long story short comparing TDH to this is like a TV movie special compared with a Martin Scorsese film. Oligarch is cinematic!

Wow so delicious, opulent, fresh and powerful. How beautiful. If you like Amouage Reflection man then I'm sure you will appreciate this to. It does have a piney quality, presumably arising from the juniper that lends a characteristically northern DNA to the scent. The citrus is beautifully played and pairs wonderfully with the aromatic notes. This is truly majestic and reminds me of a proud and aristocratic man on a royal stallion. There is something familiar and nostalgic, a kind of minty accord in the base that is reminiscent of a patriachal figure. Oligarch is magical and this is coming from someone with an aversion to citrus fragrances. There is a biting spice in the background that I can't pinpoint but it adds a pinch of an oriental quality and depth. Oligarch has a chilling, peppery accord in the ultimate dry down that serves to add an exclusive vibe and create distance and announce the subject before they are seen. A total love, 10/10.

This is truly an amazing fragrance! On stumbling upon this via a sample, it’s quickly become one of my top 5 fragrances. I do see the similarity with TDH, but Oligarch is so so much more. It’s extremely well blended, a mix of zesty orange, pepper and smooth black currant. It also has that slight ambergris vibe that so many of Roja’s fragrances possess. It really is so much more than TDH, it’s more masculine and well defined, extremely versatile and very luxurious. BUT, it’s also very expensive! Even more so now that’s it’s discontinued. Another downside is the longevity, about 3 to 4 hours on my skin. However, there is hope! I’ve also managed to find an EXCEPTIONALLY good clone from Niche Perfume Oils on ebay. It’s hard to find decent clones that really mirror the original, but theirs is extremely close! Here’s where I purchased it ebay . com / itm / 185790563557 (this version is a spay, not an oil). I have 4 50ml bottles of this now!

Let's be Honest with this fragrance. Some people is saying this fragrans is similar to Terre D'Hermes. I have both... Oligarch is...... 10 15% similar to TDH... no more... so are the same kind of family?. Yes... They Smell the same?. Not at all. They are similar.. A bit... nothing more. Is the same history with OV and Mugler Cologne.. How can some people say Mugler Cologne is very similar to OV??? how the hell? xDDDD.. I have both and are the same family, Both are fresh, green, soapy, but they are no more than 50% similar. or less. Mugler Cologne is a neroli fragrance and OV is all about Vetiver and earthy notes. Montblanc Individuel is similar to OS?? yes. One can replace the other? not at all. But if you can only afford the montblanc then is a good one, but OS is another level of perfumery. MI is very very synthetic, where OS is really natural smelling.

I completely agree with Aengland05's review that this fragrance bears a strong resemblance to Memo's African Leather. The initial burst of fresh apple notes, is followed by a well-known facet of the Terre d'Hermes DNA, is skillfully complemented by a spicy warmth reminiscent of African Leather. Overall, this fragrance is a lovely offering, but it is only worth considering when you don't know where to put your next dollars as this is highly overpriced. It's not a casual fragrance, but rather suited for night outs or black tie events due to its elegant yet fresh character. Performance is good and sillage is slightly underwhelming. In summary, this fragrance is a harmonious blend of 60% Terre d'Hermes, 30% African Leather, and 10% Roja Magic, making it a well-rounded scent with a unique character.

OK. I have now Oligarch and Terre d'hermes edt, parfum..also have the new Intense Vetiver one. All I can say being honest is... OLIGARCH >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>ALL TERRE D'hermes. if you have and love terre d'hermes as I do, do what you want, but Oligarch is far, and I say really Far superior fragrance, by thousand miles of distance. Of course is much expensive but if you want to spend or not is a personal opinion. I have given to smell my family without saying which is which oligarch and all the fragrances of Terre and the 4 members of my family have given a 10 to oligarch, to tdh edt a 6 on average, to tdh parfum a 7 on average, and to tdh intense vetiver a 6.5 on average.

An absolutely glorious citrus fragrance. Most of the ingredients dance in and out of the sillage. Bright, fresh, uplifting but with a commanding, powerful and unapologetic presence. Oligarch - aptly named. Yes there are some nuances that lean toward Terre D'Hermes Parfum but TDH is notably more serious, pungent, sour-dirty in its presentation so the two are sufficiently different to have both. They have similar styles but different characters. Add to that the obvious higher quality of ingredients used in Oligarch and the choice is clear - well, for me at least. ;o) All I need now is a bank loan to buy a full bottle. :-(

I smelled this in December and reveled in the fact I loved it as I tend to dislike more masc scents. I knew it was hard to find and discon. I ended up asking my local perfumery I shop at frequently, they had 2 left... and we’re only selling them by request to loyal customers. It’s a great aromatic, citrusy, floral scent on my skin with a royal, expensive feel. I have gotten over 20 compliments and I’ve worn it twice. If you have the chance to get it at retail, get it. It’s worth it! 10/10.

I love Terre d’Hermès and yes, the inspiration is there in Oligarch. I own a “Parfum” bottle which I got for much less than its asking retail price a year or two ago, thankfully. My bottle has definitely matured from the first uses, as the sillage is huge and can fill a room from a single spray. Much more citrus forward which I appreciate. Perfect for summer, spring and fall days. Roja has yet to let me down. I do wish the price was more accessible as some of these can get ridiculous.

I'm completely mind-blown with Oligarch, it's incredible. I don't get a similarity with Terre D'Hermes at all. I do get a slight similarity with Elysium with the added birch smoke from Aventus. Oligarch is ground-breaking, elegant and a complete stunner. Amazing performance. There's nothing to not love, here. You owe it to yourself to get your nose on this. Scent: 10/10 Longevity: 9/10 Projection: 9/10 Price/Performance Ratio: 4/10

One of my favourite summer fragrances. A beautiful mix of citruses with bright woody and floral notes in the background. It's very fresh and fruity, one of the most refreshing smells ever. While I love Elysium as well, I actually think this is better and also smells more expensive and richer with more depth to the fragrance. I'm happy not as many people know about this one though, more Oligarch for me. 10/10

If you are going to say this smells like Viking and Hermès you are better off not owning Roja’s intensely complex creations. Many say there is marketing and that’s part of it but the juice is to die for. This citrus last forever on my skin. I took a shower and still smell it on me from spraying 4 sprays this morning. Absolute must try for true fragrance lovers and Roja collectors..

Nose Note #373 I haven't read all the reviews, but doesn't anybody see the connection sith Creed Aventus? After a few wearing I started to get it and then I looked at the notes. Bergamot, black currant, birch and the rest. It's basically Creed Aventus with an extra layer of bits and pieces. But it's still Aventus. I'd say it's Aventus meets Himalaya Man - all that is. Wonderful

TdH is dogsh*t in comparison to Oligarch. I couldn't stand TdH, meanwhile I never get tired of Oligarch. This juice is much more complex and just fantastic. Should never have been discontinued. It's only going to get harder to find, snatch it up if you can. I find myself reaching for this often in the spring and am never disappointed. Scent: 4/5 Longevity: 4/5 Sillage: 3/5

Well , it has the same personality as Terre d'Hermes with a little bit of difference . If Terre d'Hermes smells like a rich man , this one would smell like a wealthy luxurious man and more open-minded; it has more action than Terre d'Hermes with more mass-appealing . This is what a man should smell like , wow.

It is such an amazing, unique, 10000/10. One of the best ever smelling frag that I have ever but my nose on. Nothing to do at all with Hermes or any other frags that other mentioned. It is so unique and a masterpiece done by Roja. For me it is the best that Roja made.

An absolutely stunning fragrance that is so soft, airy with depth which screams high quality, it has X factor! But for £375 for 50ml.... hmmmm I rather spend £33 on a 5ml decant and use it for special classy occasions that do not happen often sadly.

But Terre is a chemical brother, but this one is natural Terre. By the way, the Oligarch is better than Terre. ;) As I understand this perfume special for Abramovich. If you want to smell like Abramovich (Russian oligarch), then use it. ;)

Hermes does not compare to oligarch. I’m sorry, but just because you can’t afford this doesn’t mean you should lie to others by saying save your money and buy terre D’Hermes. BS, man up, save up and buy it if you want it.

Definitely in the same lane as TdH. What divides them is the use of natural ingredients. I would prefer this 10/10 times over TdH despite the price tag. Stunning fragrance. Work of art.

A house with unique products because of the price tag, rather than the perfume itself. No doubt all the experience of Roja Dove house is quite posh, with some of the most beautiful bottles around, but it lacks originality in what matters, the scent itself. I sampled many fragrances from this house and find them very underwhelming and unoriginal. Yes, well blended and sure, with quality raw materials, but i buy perfume because of the way they smell and how they make me feel, not because the bottle is pretty or its an exclusive product because they cost a human kidney. Having said that, Oligarch is by far the one i liked the most. I like this fragrance very much, actually. It's a fresh scent with enough body to it that makes it feel expensive. It has this sour citrus lemony note going on (not overpowering at all) above a soft warm background that i find very appealing but at the same time very reminiscent of other house perfumes. I understand why some people say this reminds them of Terre d'Hermes, but only if you take away the horrid note of the dry orange peel in Terre d'Hermes (i don't like that perfume at all). I think Oligarch does it's own thing, but the similarity is there for sure. Yes, i like Oligarch but i don't find it special enough (originality, scent appeal and longevity) for the price asked. I am fortunate enough to be able to buy very expensive fragrances, but i only put money where i think it's worth. For sure if i was a youtuber and received a free bottle i would also speak beautiful things about this fragrance, because it is a very nice fragrance, but what they won't tell you is exactly this, not worth the price at all and that you could smell like this for far less.

I love this fragrance, but I have mixed feelings about it. Yes, it does smell similar to Terre d’Hermes. Is it better than Terre d’Hermes? Without a doubt. Oligarch is richer and fruitier, maybe even a little juicy. It’s performance is perfect. TdH is drier and less complex. Performance is good too. Is Oligarch overpriced? Without a doubt. You’re paying for the prestige the brand is trying to create. The price tag is not a reflection of highly superior ingredients. Are the ingredients better than TdH’s? Yes, definitely, but not this much more expensive. It’s all artificial inflation for the sake of brand prestige. The business side of me can see how smart this is, as the profit margins must be great. Bottle the moderately more expensive juice in a faux fancy bottle and pack it in a faux fancy box and give the illusion that your product is ultra rare and exclusive. In reality it’s just clever branding and marketing. This breaks the fragrance lover’s side of my heart. For the sake of brand prestige and the illusion of exclusivity, a large portion of fragrance lovers won’t be able to regularly use this beauty. Some may not even get to smell it at all, especially as Roja’s website no longer sells the “less expensive” EDP version (at the time of this posting), and they don’t offer 7.5ml sample atomizers for the new, grossly expensive, Parfum version. So, I have mixed feelings. I’m all for wanting to offer people the finer things in life. I just can’t get behind the artificial exclusivity BS. If this were $250 for 100ml, I would happily sing it’s praise to anyone who would listen. Instead, I question if I should be supporting the business of Roja Dove anymore.

#497 in my "Tour de Fragrance" No mistake about it. This one earned it's 4.39 rating, and it was a HUGE improvement over the white grapefruit sourness of Terre d' Hermes thanks to all the fruity notes, though it was still a very citrus forward freshie. It was a veritable cornucopia of my favorite notes. And I thought it very versatile for any use, especially as a summer scent. And of course, first rate quality in every way. I got it as a decant. Even before it was discontinued Roja Oligarch was overpriced, as everyone but me knew long ago, and now this scent is in the hands of the even worse scalpers on eBay. I am a way smarter shopper today than I was back when I foolishly and needlessly spent the price of a car payment on discontinued designer fragrances. Supposedly it was reincarnated as Isola Blu. I have no idea. L'Homme Ideal by Guerlain is reasonably priced, and if you already have that or Cedrat Boise, as it seems almost everyone on here does, this Roja scent would be somewhat redundant anyway. If your budget is under $40, Turathi Blue is a good option for a citrus freshie. Maison Alhambra has a SUPER-DUPER $45 Bylgari Tygar clone (which the Turathi really isn't, though some think it is) called "Bronzite", which to my initial annoyance smelled 95-98% like the bottle of Tygar that cost me $340. Then I realized I would never have to pay $300+ for the Tygar scent again and I felt WAY better about it. Three more decants to trial before I'm done for 2023. Next year, more niche brands.

Just got it and sprayed it for a quick test. I will have a more in depth review soon. So far it opens up very nicely with a fresh bergamot lemony scent. The middle is pleasantly floral yet masculine due to the apple and coco notes. --- Edit Feb. 2017 - after wearing this perfume consistently I must admit that I am amazed how long the citrus smell stays on skin and even offers a great sillage. Citrus fresh scent is notoriously elusive but somehow Roja managed to keep it going for hours. The perfume is all about citrus superbly complimented by a sweet coco very diffuse scent. I do not get any cedar or leather for that matter. I get tonka sweetness in the dry down. Unfortunately this fragrance is not long lasting and after 2 hours it becomes a soft skin scent. However, fresh citrus scent usually vanishes within minutes, with that in consideration we can say that this perfume has an amazing longevity. I would compare Oligarch to Cedrat Enivrant from Atelier Cologne (caveat: Atelier Cologne is no longer a niche as it was acquired by L'Oréal). Scent: 7/10 Longevity: 7/10 (because of the citrus smell otherwise mediocre longevity) Sillage: 5/10 Cost ratio: 1/10 Overall: 5/10 - if you are looking for a fresh citrus smell this one is for you but you can get similar (if not better) effect for a fraction of a price with Cedrat Enivrant. I would advise against wasting your money on this one.

The 2016 version of 'Creed Vetiver Geranium' with a pronounced fresh lemon note at the top. Its a very fresh scent, and seems bold & strong for about 45minutes. Not long after, Oligarch turns into a skin scent for the rest of its 4-Hour Lifespan. The composition is a EDP, yet does have complexity in the notes. However, I honestly feel for a 50mL at $350 Oligarch only projects 18inches with 4-5sprays... As for longevity on several wears I barely got 4hours then it was unnoticeable. Overall, Roja's Oligarch is a masculine, fresh and fun scent with a very modern appeal. An office safe scent which could be worn all year around. Good for dates, lunch & dinner outings, but likely better during sunny days around Spring, Summer, Fall. For me Oligarch is a fragrance geared towards the niche connoisseur who's looking to expand their desire for understated luxury. I rate Oligarch 6/10 reason because Its not all that original, lacks longevity, & overly priced. Meanwhile, Creed Vetiver Geranium 100mL testers can be owned for around $120 and last longer, projects better, and is cleaner.

Roja oligarch parfum review (Not the edp) I get a lot of orange blossom kind of smell, with a yellow lemon smell and if you think about this note you can also smell it which is apple, a sour greenish apple smell very light... smells classy and with those "old money" vibes for sure good for spring and summer but more for spring, it doesn't seem to project a lot but longevity is solid like 8hrs is it close to Terre D ́Hermes? In that same family, Terre is the fruitier and more playful right off the bat, while oligarch is a more mature-smelling citrus, less fruity, classy, and elegant. oh, and by Terre d ́Hermes i refer to the pure parfum one, not the EDT, I got the EDT which is the one I'm comparing it against but I think this could be closer to what I think the parfum Terre D Hermes would smell like I paid around 550 for my bottle, its something I wanted for my collection especially because of the gorgeous bottle its a good fragrance not a wow still maybe my opinion could change I still prefer Elysium :) 8/10

Spent an enjoyable hour in the Roja Dove boutique in London:chance to smell many things, but left with this. Lovely, soft citrus cologne with added depth. Nice - but honestly not worth the money really (and imho none of the Dove scents really are). Oh, and glad the assistant didn't tell me the name at any point in the smelling / discussion / purchasing process . . . does this win the award for the naffest name ever??? Imagine having to tell someone Oligarch when they asked what is that lovely smell?!? Hugely embarrassing!!!!

Objectivly good, "old money" mix of fresh wood and a more complex version of TDH's citrus. Has elements of Burlington 1819 threaded in. On some, Oligarch may smell like a B/O laced cleaning solution. There's more to it, but now that I've written this down, I can't unsmell it. Not Roja's finest moment, but definitely a charming stunner in it's own right, especially as it dries down. Very particular, refined, green, mature and masculine.

It does smell like Terre dHermes, but you probably heard Fetish and Puredistance M smell like Bel Ami, right? Can confirm. All of the above are true, up to a point. The differences emerge if you wear these pairs on contralateral arms for a few wears. Then, if you find a preference: you commit to a full bottle. So before you buy something like this here, get some decants and be dead certain; you could smell like this for less money.

As others have said, Oligarch smells remarkably similar to Terre D'Hermes, however it opens with a very nice Lemon note, as opposed to TdH's Orange. Aside from that however, they are strikingly similar. Projection wise Oligarch sits close to the skin, but does last a very long time. Whilst I do like Oligarch, I think I'd purchase the Parfum concentration of Terre D'Hermes and save my money.

Hi, For all of you Roja Oligarch fans out there, I can whisper it quietly, it's still possible to slake your thirst for Oligarch, ever so slightly, because the Fresh samples collection (£35.00 for 5x2 ml samples) contains an Oligarch sample (along with Midsummer Dream, Burlington, Elysium and Oceania) but dont tell anyone -it's strictly entre nous, OK?

Am i crazy for blind buying the parfum crystal version of oligarch? The new one launched in 2022 but discontinued because of the war... well I blind bought this cost me 550dls which i mean its ok im 18 years old but worked for it, deff my most expensive bottle i own will be getting my hands on it soon will let you know if its worth the money or not 🥸

Reminds me of a higher quality ADG Profumo. This is a such a beautiful cologne that smells like a fresh spicy clean out the shower type scent. The birch wood gives such a smoothness to it that makes it pleasant throughout its wear. Overall great masculine fresh spicy cologne.

Seems to now have completely disappeared off their website shortly after the relaunched Parfum version appeared. Not even part of a discovery kit now. I wonder if it was pulled for rebranding after current events... lmao

A bit sweeter and creamier version of TdH. Very nice, but not worth Roja's asking price. Any of the TdH line are a better value...you could buy the original, Parfum, and Eau Intense Vetiver for the price of this.

It's Ralph Lauren Safari with a heavy cedar note and a soft jasmine note on the opening. After the dry-down the cedar softens and the jasmine becomes more pronounced underneath it.

This is TDH EDT repackaged. I had this and I own TDH, and they smell 99% similar, with similar mediocre performance. Good scent, but a total ripoff.

Sorry, it's on the Roja Discovery sample set rather than on the Fresh sample set. The good news is that it's the EDP version.

I tried this out this week in an attempt to round out my collection of 35 fragrances (most of them niche) in my search for an elegant citrus scent that I could wear through spring and summer. I had heard that is smelled like TDH and after sampling them side by side, I can say that this is true, although TDH is more interesting, this is more refined. I must admit I am disappointed because wearing it today with a very light touch of Chanel Egoist deodorant (it was the closest I could find since they both have a strong citrus note over more complex and serious accords) after 2 hours all I could smell was Egoiste! And yesterday I tried it out on my wrists versus Kilian Lemon in Zest, which came across as stronger, classier, more unique, and similar in starting with a strong citrus note and dying down to clean soapy vetiver. The Kilian is also cheaper, although perhaps more simple in its use of notes. On the whole I think this is an OK fragrance but at the price does not distinguish itself. You could buy TDH AND Kilian Lemon in Zest for the same price and be happier for it. Now I am moving on from Roja, owning Enigma and Elysium (both the Parfum and Parfum Cologne of each), since Oceania and Oligarch were both passes for me. Time to try Fragrance du Bois Oud Vert Intense next!

had a sample and the similarity to terre d'hermes is crazy ,i dont understand how anyone can say otherwise ....feels a little smoother ,thicker juicier and "wetter" where Tdh is dry and less sweet but its undeniable honestly, and im not a nuanced fragrance lover i just know what i smell and enjoy i dont think its in the same league ..... i like the rougher sharper Tdh far more it feels less cloying enjoyed the sample but i know I'm not missing out now

It lasts about 10 hours with a moderate projection for the first 2 hours. This is incomparably better than Terre d'Hermès! Perhaps the best Roja fragrance for warm days.

So I see the notes,my question is why is this expensive??? Is lime oil expensive? NO,is lavender oil,coconut oil expensive? Well NO! They might be the best quality but they're still cheap every way you see it! Cheap overload of ingredients sold for big money in fancy bottle ending up smelling like a slitghly better Hermes. No thanks I smelled it and I will let Mr Roja fool somebody else,I'll stick to my Hermes pure perfume wich is a fraction of the price.
