RDP21 Limited Edition

RDHP21 is absolutely stunning. Yes there are some similarities to other Roja fragrances but this smells very unique and stands on its own. It's like the best bits of RDHP20, Diaghilev & Lost In Paris are combined to create a new scent that is not redundant and one you'll regret not having in your collection. And no, layering those 3 won't give the same effect it doesn't smell exactly like the others, but has a similar feel to each of them. It's a complex, well constructed Chypre fragrance that has some gourmand aspects to it. The opening is bright and fresh with orange as the key note. This is where you're reminded of Lost In Paris. The dry down lasts a while for me, after a couple of hours it shifts towards a darker scent where there are clear signs of the Diaghilev DNA shining through, but without any of the animalic notes. What I love is that unlike so many fragrances, the opening notes aren't gone forever. You'll get those fresher citrus notes pop up every now and then, even 6-8 hours after applying. I'm currently 8 hours in and it is still going strong, so longevity is excellent on me. I find this quite an easy wear and versatile. Very much unisex and doesn't lean either direction. It's not overbearing or polarising, and would equally suit a day in the office, or a night out at a restaurant or bar. It's winter where I am, and it's been shining all day. Yet to test in hotter weather but I could imagine it may be very wearable, just with less sprays in summer. If you're passionate about Roja fragrances, then it is worth the expensive price tag. If you're not a collector or not looking for something special and just looking for a new daily fragrance to own, this is probably not one to spend the money on. It's expensive but 100% worth owning to me and I didn't hesitate when seeing the price.

There was an exceptional standard @rojadoveperfumery wanted to achieve with this release, and to myself and others, they nailed it🙌 RDP21 opens with a dazzling burst of fresh, sugared orange—zesty, juicy, and unmistakably alive. Unlike the syrupy density of Lost in Paris, this one stays faithful to the fruit, radiating brightness without ever feeling heavy🍊 As it transitions, white florals rise through the heart like a breath of air—adding volume, sensuality, and just enough elegance to elevate the citrus without overpowering it. Their presence feels intentional, almost architectural. And just beneath it all... the whisper of Diagheliv begins to stir 👀 In the drydown, RDP21 reaches its most textured and nuanced form. Familiar warm spices and resinous tones from Diagheliv reappear—but they’re softened, cocooned in a plush blend of vanilla, amber, and the smooth touch of suede-like leather. The result? This is a fantastic creation by Roja Dove. I was nervous when I applied the first spray. It is after all a $1000 plus perfume. I really enjoyed the opening and the dry down. This perfume is for the most part linear which is my preference, the scent doesn't change that much after the initial semi-sweet opening. I honestly don't know how to describe this perfume. If this is what Chypre smells like, then Chypre is definitely a fantastic scent. This fragrance is very classy and mature and playful at the same time. Mr. Roja's description is accurate when he said (this unique creation captures the exhilarating balance between newfound maturity and the carefree spirit of youth). Another masterpiece by Mr. Roja Dove.

First Impressions, full review to come: A truly incredible scent I’m still trying to wrap my head around. There’s so much happening in this composition. The Diagheliv backbone is most definitely present here. RDP21 has a lovely sugared, fruity and juicy opening. It gives a modern freshness to the classic Chypre Roja is known for creating. The dry-down is super sensual with that vanilla and suede, mixed with the spices from Diagheliv. The overall experience is a subtle one but I prefer that with this scent. For those who find Diagheliv to be too bold, old-school, and grown up, this may be in your wheelhouse. As of now, I’d say 21 is my favorite of the RDP releases.

It’s wild how often people smash the “dislike” button when they see a Roja release just based on the price. Also, this smells NOTHING like Limonata. It is an entirely different realm, I do not like Limonata as it reminds me of household cleaner and smells cheap. This fragrance is absolutely incredible, some of the smoothest blending and one of the most impressive perfumes Roja has released in recent years. The comparison to both Diaghilev, and the top notes from Lost in Paris is accurate. 9.5/10 for me, because nothing is perfect.

It smells good, but honestly, no one will even notice you're wearing perfume—it's incredibly faint. I got a good price for it, so I sold it. That’s my take " just another cash grab from Roja"
