Reckless Pour Femme Essence De Parfum

This is a beautiful neroli fragrance. On my skin, I never really experienced the citrus notes. I could smell the neroli from start to dry down of this fragrance. I also experienced the gardenia and jasmine. I feel like the remaining notes were perfectly blended and had to play very softly in the background. The vision that I get in my head for the person who wears this is a lady of no particular age who is naturally gorgeous. She does not need to flaunt her beauty. It speaks for itself. Everyone knows and loves her. Not because she is the loudest, or funniest, or most out-going. But she is just the nicest, sweetest, kindest person you could ever meet. She always has a smile on her face and is willing it to lend a listening ear or a helping hand. She wears Roja Reckless. And this fragrance fits her perfectly. It is something that is naturally beautiful. It isn't loud or overwhelming but it still seizes the attention of others because it is just so nice. While I really like this fragrance, I do not know that I feel it is so unique or such a knock-out fragrance that it warrants such a high price tag.

I had to get a sample of this beauty and now that I have, I know that I must hunt down a full bottle of Reckless!! This is a sweet orange blossom beauty!! I absolutely love it. It’s comparable to Love Don’t Be Shy but much much more tame. A fresher version if you’d like. Though I have never had the pleasure of smelling Love Eau Fraîche (a flanker to LDBS) perhaps Reckless is close to what Fraîche smells like?? Since Fraîche has been discontinued, I cannot compare them, what a pity! In any case, this is a beautiful and wonderful fruity/floral sweet fragrance I would be thrilled to add to my collection. Yes, it’s expensive, I agree...hopefully, I’ll find a bottle of it at a reasonable price in the future...??? Wish me luck ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Edit: September 16th, 2022 I scored a brand new bottle of Reckless (at a reasonable price) and will I spray it recklessly on my skin? You better believe it!!!!! With reckless abandon, might I add!!!!! 😍😍😍

I generally LOVE Roja's feminine scents—Danger, Enslaved, Elixir. I've sampled many through decant shops but the one I particularly love is Reckless pour femme essence de parfum. I always check out the bottle and box on the perfumer's original website to ensure I'm not buying a fake product. In looking for a FB on discount sites, many show the Reckless bottle as being a blue/purple color. But nowhere on Roja's page or on Google does it indicate Reckless pour femme was sold in a bluish colored bottle. I asked vendors about this discrepancy and they told me it's probably an older version. Can anyone provide any info on this?

I recently ordered the discovery set of Essence De Parfum for my wife as I've recently fell in love with Roja Dove's Creation-E/Enigma. The opening on the skin is amazing. To my nose it seriously smells like someone just juiced a fresh orange right in front of you. Love the opening. The dry down is more of a mature fragrance. For me, I smell the vanilla , musk, & Jasmine the most. When I first sprayed this on a card stock I did like it but on the skin it's a different beast. Solid grab for that special someone in your life. I'd say if you know anyone who loves orange & vanilla flavors, this will be a must for them.

Oh my God I'm falling in love with Reckless,it's so feminine,elegant and bright, strong but not overpowering. So we'll blended, oranges and bergamot just give little sweetness and freshness but not citrusy, the white flower and rose hand in hand give femininity to it,the white flower isn't animalic,the rose isnt sour,it's soft fruity rose, almost like it had some berry notes to it.while vanila n musk gives softness and body, Woodsy notes,benzoin and spices give its anchor to skin as niche perfume.my first Roja and many more to come. This is my birthday gift from my husband..I definitely treasure it in my heart 💜

I tried a decant from the older purple bottle, and I'm still in awe. Imagine arriving at heaven at last, the sun is up but the air is cool, and you just lied down under a magnificent tree in full bloom while the honey stream is running slowly a few paces away. suddenly a cool, pleasant breeze brings the scent of the blossoms falling onto the stream, and you forget all pain and misery forever. This is what this masterwork smells like. Absolute 5 out of 5. I loved it.

This fragrance comes together beautifully. It was not available surprisingly on Lucky scent, so I went to Neimens’. So beautiful. I love the tangerine opening that blends effortlessly with the other notes. It uplifts me, yet is sensual and sweet. Hard to describe this fragrance but I like it more than Enigma and 51. This fragrance depicts a woman who is sensuous, emotional, intuitive and elegant all at once - a naturally talented woman.

Oh my gosh this is love at first sniff! I’m getting sweet orange, jasmine and neroli in the opening. Similar vibes to Jasmin 17 by Le Labo but smoother, more complex and a bit sweeter. I can see the comparisons to Love, though this is fresher, juicier and less sweet, and the powdery marshmallow vibes take a backseat.

Like a lot of the reviews, it is a softer version of Kilian's Love Don't Be Shy. If you have LDBS you do not need this one. It gives me a LDBS flanker Eau Fraiche. This is an absolutely beautiful fragrance. I love Kilian and Roja so much.

Love this sooo much. Very sophisticated. I don't think that this is similar to LDBS. LDBS is very sweeeeeeet and cloying. This one is smooth, fresh, citrusy floral sweet. I hope ROJA will never discontinue this one. The bottle is so nice

This is gorgeous! I will say that it is almost identical to Love Don’t Shy, however it is not quite as sweet-which makes it absolutely perfect! This is definitely a love!

This is a very gorgeous scent. I can smell the citrus first. then the tonka. Love it! However, I also purchased a DUA "Volatile Woman" and it's 98%.

I did not have the original one, I am glad I purchased this one. Looking forward to reviewing it once I receive it

It smells almost identical to Killian Shy. Wow

Heady jasmine. Has that common bitter bergamot and orange opening. But that fades fast and the beautiful floral jasmine takes centre stage. I guess there are other florals mixed in there too, but on me this is definitely a warm, smooth jasmine scent. It does have depth and a lovely soft slightly spicy warmth starts to develop quite quickly (pink pepper, sandalwood maybe some musk). I’m interested to see what this one will be like in a few hours as the vanilla is very soft at present, it just adds a lovely sweetness to the overall scent. It’s currently only been on ten mins and is already warm, comforting and sensual, a very soft floral thanks to the base notes. I’m wearing this to bed and it’s lovely for a change (I’m usually a soft spicy amber lover!). Reckless seems to be becoming a skin scent very quickly, and it’s faded to a very faint scent already even with my nose to my skin (30 mins after 1 light spray from a sample from the discovery kit). Edit: no smell left by the next morning.

In the opening, there’s a sweet syrupy mandarin orange and orange, with a light zesty hint. I feel like all this composition develops with vanilla and benzoin as the main focus. With time the floral notes emerge, with neroli (not too bitter), rose and jasmine, in order of strength. 30 mins in, I smell a beautiful cinnamon giving more warmth but also some spiciness to the composition. In the drydown the musk gives a slightly powdery feeling, very elegant and not animalic. If I had to pick the four notes I feel the most they are, in order: benzoin, vanilla, musk and neroli. The blend is what makes this scent special. It’s so beautifully harmonious and elegant. The progression of this perfume is: sweet fruity, sweet fruity floral, sweet fruity floral spicy. A summer gourmand floral, I’d say. As of performance: it lasts around 4 hours on skin and around 5 on clothes. On me, after the first hour, it becomes a skin scent.

It’s lovely. Another review described this as beautifully blended. I don’t have a lot of experience with perfumes to make that discernment on my own, but based on the information I do have - I agree. As the perfume settles on my skin, it takes up a quality all its own, and I don’t pick up individual notes as much as I do with others. A sugary, edible floral with hints of pepper flowing together.

The opening is very similar to Love don't be shy. Within a few minutes, it develops into a scent of its own: for the most part it's a floral (neroli and jasmine) with fresh, sweet notes around. Overall, it's pleasant... I'm just disappointed that it doesn't work that great with my skin chemistry. It's good on clothes, but I find the inability to spray it on my skin frustrating.

This is a very light fragrance which smells a bit like rose water. I haven't heard anyone else say this but I definitely do get a rose water type of scent. Which is very nice in my opinion. The longevity of Reckless isn't the best. Nevertheless, it is still a very pleasant fragrance. I give this a 7/10.

I’m kicking myself for blind buying. It smells exactly like d&g pour femme/armaf italiano donna. Don’t get me wrong, I adore those scents and already own the armaf one so I didn’t need an overpriced version in my collection. Sadly this doesn’t last as long on my skin or clothes either.

@Mrsspress Neroli is stronger in LDBS as it creates that bubblegum smell. This fragrance smells more of natural orange blossom, even though it’s not listed. That is my experience though others may disagree

Effortlessly elegant with a hint of mischief, Reckless is like champagne that forgot its curfew.

I have mixed opinions. I purchased this fragrance expecting a more refined, elegant and "quiet" perfume, reminiscent of Love Don't Be Shy by Kilian, Oriana by PDM, or Sintra by Memo Paris. Instead... I got a fragrance that opens very strongly on the sweet orange juice and bergamot notes, combining with neroli and jasmine, making for a perfume combo that to me smells like sweethearts/candy hearts (yes, those very candies we ate as kids). It's got that powdery aspect to it from the candy hearts and a blend that just feels rather juvenile. It's a perfume that left me underwhelmed. Not near as elegant or juicy as LDBS by Kilian. This fragrance somehow reminds me of one for a calm, soft-spoken nearly graduating high school student or early university-days student that enjoys her solitude and a tight-knit circle of friends, all while wearing a dainty white eyelet cotton dress and a pastel-toned cardigan. Very much spring and summer appropriate. Nice fragrance for casual daily wear, but definitely not worth its retail price point.

I know there are a lot of citrus notes in this fragrance, but all my nose got was a huge citrus BOMB, with the slightest hint of some sort of white floral. That’s it. I bought it because of all of the influencers on YouTube, who receive this item for free to review, who have hyped it up far beyond what it should be. Not for me.

I can smell the similarity to LDBS with some of the same notes - bergamot, neroli, pink pepper, musk and vanilla. LDBS is a bit sweeter with the sugar and caramel. This is my initial review, which I’m testing the wear and longevity.

Gosh I wanted to like this. However, it reminds me of the gaggy sweetness of Night Blooming Jasmine when I am walking in the evening in my New Orleans neighborhood. I get a super blast of the NB Jasmine, then hit with Vanilla. Entirely too sweet. On my skin, there is no citrus at all. None. Very glad I started with a very small decant!

On me this is very Jasmine forward followed by Neroli with hints of orange blossom and marshmallow. Drydown has a little less Jasmine and eventually turns into a soft amber. This maybe has a tiny similarity to LDBS as this perfume is way more floral, but I really wouldn't compare the two nor use LDBS as too much of a point of reference. It's beautiful but it doesn't project well and turns into a skin scent in 30mins. The bottle is gorgeous and I think the "essence" is a rip off. I have to put my nose on my skin to really smell the fragrance. Most lotions perform better than this and it is performing worse than a body spray, but it might do better in summer. Looking forward to a hot and humid summer day to see if this fragrance will bloom. Very safe for those in medical field bc I doubt anyone but maybe you could smell it.

This really smells like Love by Kilian, but much softer, with some light florals like rose and Jasmine. Its like a spring version of Love by Kilian. Very pretty and feminine, seats close to skin. This is not a fragrance that will project a lot. I have purchased it myself being influenced by all the influencers advertising new line and I don’t regret it, it’s very feminine and lovely. Can’t compare to original Reckless since I smelled quite a long time ago and don’t remember how it smelled anymore. If you think that Love by Kilian was way too much for you, but you still liked the dry down or sillage off of someone you should really try Roja Reckless.

I love this fragrance. Yes, it may share a few vibes with Love don’t be shy, however Reckless develops beautifully on my skin. The opening is an olfactory experience: you get the mandarin, you get the jasmine and then you get neroli... it truly smells like Heaven on earth. It’s very expensive - yes it is, but I want this from the perfumes I love and wear, when they come from the niche world. This is amazing. Definitely my next purchase. Great longevity: it lasts all day between my hair and 7 hours on skin

This perfume is confusing sometimes it smells super floral and sometimes it smells like windex with a hint of cinnamon. I don’t get the comparison of LDBS or Oriana at all I don’t find reckless to be a sweet perfume like the other two. Also the longevity on reckless is terrible it’s the only perfume I own that fully vanishes from the skin after only 2 hours it stays on clothes a bit longer but very very faint you have to push the fabric to your nose to smell it....

Not a review, a question for you all. If you know this and LDBS, how does the note of neroli differ between the two? Is it more noticeable in one than the other? Sharper in one, or the other? Etc...

Neroli and citrus bomb with just enough sweetness to make it flirty and marvelous. Like LDBS and Oriana if you remove the excess of sugar... it feels a lot more refined and elegant. Very good.

@ForeverSearching yes! The purple bottle is the older version, in my opinion it smells more refined than the new bottle, especially the opening/top notes are to die for.

Very heavy on the Jasmine in this one. Reminds me of Jasmine Freak from Room 1015. Not as sweet... but in terms of the heavy Jasmine. It’s just ok. Nothing special 🤷🏽♀️

Lighter version of LDBS, it's more fruity and light to me. Really well blended! I'd buy this one over LDBS, but I already have Istanbul which is my favorite.

Sampled and found this to have a soapy note I don’t enjoy. I prefer Solar Blossom by Mizensir for this scent profile.
