Reckless Pour Homme

As I’m trying to explore more on Roja Dove creations after I fell in love with the Engima (Creation E) Parfum Cologne version and bought a full bottle of it, I struggled which pour homme I should get. Yes, I prefer the pour homme over the pour femme version because I love unisex or men’s fragrances. I don’t own any women fragrances. I struggled between Engima Pour Homme, Fetish Pour Homme or Reckless Pour Homme. Finally I decided on the Reckless after reading about its notes composition as I thought I already own Engima Parfum Cologne so I shouldn’t get one that has a similar scent (at least not as my first Parfum concentration of Roja and try something new first), and lots of reviews said Fetish is way too masculine. I don’t regret it at all. It is my first chypre fragrance that I own since I thought chypre usually smell more classic and mature while I love scents that are more modern. Lucky this doesn’t disappoint me. The opening does smell very chypre and classic but the dry down is phenomenal. It is still chypre but very cozy. The floral mid notes in this is not prominent at all. Instead, the base notes peak thru and take the main role after since the 1-2 hours dry down of the top notes. The base notes definite overpowering the mid notes especially the cinnamon, black pepper and cardamom, which I love it even better. That makes it more modern and cozy. The only downside of this is the performance. It lasts long about 10 hours but doesn’t project very well, about 1-2 feet and get closer to skin quickly in about 2-3 hours. I know Parfum concentration usually don’t have strong projection and I expected it but still a little lower than my expectations since I found the Engima Parfum Cologne has better performance (both longevity and projection). But I do find that the Reckless Pour Homme has divine quality (even better than the Parfum Cologne) while I thought the Engima Parfum Cologne already has top notch quality. Still became one of my favorites because it is the only chypre and so different in my collection. Definitely 9.5/10

This is one of my top picks for the Roja Dove line. In a nutshell, this is a citrusy, labdanum, powerdy wood scent. Once it's first applied, straight away you will smell lemon and bergamot with a hint of ginger and cinnamon lingering behind it. At the end, cedar, sandalwood and labdanum greet each other which are the prominent base notes giving this scent it's final sweet powdery wood finish. When I first sampled this, my girlfriend said it smelt like Clive Christian X for men. She was spot on! This scent is very similar. I'd say this scent almost has the same identical top notes to CCX. This scent is extremely well blended. It flows so smoothly. The more I smell Roja's collection, the more it reminds me of other scents. It's almost like he's taken well known signature scents and created a remix for it or has tried to reinvent them. Like he's taken oringinal ideas and has changed the way they should be in his world. I won't give Roja an 10/10 for creativity but I'll give him a 10/10 for quality and chemistry. He doesn't paint his own pictures from his own imagination but give him a picture to paint and he'll blow you away with his detailed artistic hand. My advice to the wearer of this scent is apply it when going out and night during the colder months. If you want to smell modern and distinguished then this is a killer choice. People will be intrigued to know more about who you are when you walk by. I see this being worn by guy that can get after it, a guy that doesn't live by the rules and yet, he rules. *Projection 10/10 has a great silage. You'll change the way the room smells *Longevity 9/10 lastest all day but softens a bit *Day time and night time scent *Fall, winter or cool spring day

Roja Dove Reckless is a phenomenal fragrance which is ultra masculine and alpha. This specific scent was sent to me as a mystery sample, and my goal was to try to guess what it was. Well, I failed miserably on my guesses, but I have to say it made me truly dig deep into the juice and break it down according to what I smelled. I came up with the following breakdown; "I get a fresh opening, like citrus up top, and then I get a fresh-floral mid with an oriental background. It's a fresh fragrance with a spicy-heavy backbone." At the end of the day, this stuff is awesome. Once I found out what this fragrance actually was, I wanted to slap myself upside the head. Clive Christian X happens to be one of my favorite fragrances of all time, and I was kicking myself that I couldn't make the connection while smelling the "mystery" sample. X and Reckless are VERY similar. I think what threw me off was the brighter citric opening on Reckless whereas X is much darker. I eventually compared them side-by-side and I found that X is indeed much darker and stronger than Reckless. Reckless has a great freshness to it. It starts off fairly citric and then has a more floral mid than X does. They end up being close to the same, but X is richer, deeper and much more brawny. I have to say I love both. I would go for Reckless for the fresher side of things even though it's not exactly a "fresh" fragrance, but I would go for X if I wanted something bold and burly. Having both would be the best of both worlds.

I was curious to try a few more Roja Doves, Reckless, Scandal and Danger. I made the bad mistake of blind buying Enigma, because of so much hype it was getting as the ultimate Tobacco fragrance. I was blessed to have been able to return it. It virtually had no tobacco to my nose. Reckless is a nice fresh chypre. The more I use my 5 ml, the more I feel very comfortable wearing this. It's very well blended, classic smelling fragrance. It has some very good quality citrus. But like many have said, it smells very familiar, like some other, good old spicy, woody freshies. It's fresher than I thought it would be. It could work even in Summer. The note pyramid here is deceptive, it has Cypress as the strongest note. I think the lemon is strongest. It is something like Creed Spice and Wood, but more old fashioned, classic smelling, and not nearly as good. I have a mostly niche collection, have spent over $200 on a hand full of fragrances. But they need to be special for me to spend that much. Reckless is no where near the value for me. It's like a Penhaligons fragrance, or Zoologist; good, but nothing special. As Sebastion said on his YouTube channel, "Smelling Great", Roja frags have a vintage classic vib, as is true with Reckless. I can recommend a very modern version of this at 1/3 the price, that's more vibrant and pleasant. It's one of my favorites, a fresh lemony, woody frag; it's Byredo "Oud Immortel". An update: The green cypress and laural accord in the open is much nicer than cypress in X. I'm getting a sweet cinnamon and clove as a heart accord. I hadn't worn it for a while. I am surprised how much more I like it now. I picked up the cardamom right away. A favorite spice that's blended here to perfection. Also got the juicy lemon this time. One of the best citrus opening I thought. I realized it's the lemon with bergamot. Lemon is not often used, but great natural here. The open is slightly sweet and juicy. The cypress is green, bright and natural. Nice green cypress with Laurel and artemesia. In the mid, the cypress is very evident, and very realistic high quality cypress. A favorite note. Although the spices come across as softer. I like X in cold Winter days, when the harsher, peppery spices are more welcome. Reckless is better for Springtime. It's creamier in general, because of the florals. I can start to smell it morphing nicely. The spicy accords are changing. Makes for an enjoyable experience. Some great accords: The ginger, cardomom and wormwood accord, gives it a green, slightly bitter zest. The citruses are juicy, cloves and cinnamon add warmth. It's not sweet for sweetness sake. It's there for balance. A great all-arounder, that's not boring either. Rating: 9/10 God bless. Ephesians 2:8.

Reckless was a blind buy that blew my mind in an instant. It opens straight away with an explosion of the highest quality cinnamon I’ve ever smelled, alongside refreshing notes of bergamot, lemon and lavender. The unique note of bay leaf soon emerges which is dry, herbal and slightly vegetal. I picture this fragrance structured like a trident. On one side you’ve got traditionally masculine, fougere qualities from the lavender, cypress, bay leaf and citruses - and on the other side are gentle Chypre qualities from the creamy oakmoss and leathery labdanum. Then right in the middle, the spicy oriental profile takes charge with cinnamon, cardamom, ginger and incense. This is incredibly unique and yet so comforting to wear, this fragrance has endless amounts of depth - if you spend time searching for the bottom you will never reach it. I’m absolutely in love with Reckless and this is fast becoming one of my favourite fragrances of all time.

Reckless Pour Homme is a bold, masculine fragrance best described as a spicy, woody, green scent with a classic character. By "classic," I don't mean dated or old fashioned. Rather, it's the kind of fragrance that is timeless. It's incredibly versatile and works well for almost any occasion, projecting a confident, authoritative presence that says, "I'm in charge." I've spent a lot of time comparing it with Clive Christian X and Vertus Monarch. Although X was released first and clearly inspired the others, I have to say that Roja's interpretation is the most impressive of the three. Clive Christian X is excellent, but much of its character seems wrapped in a prominent Iso E Super haze. Reckless feels more natural, more refined, and noticeably higher in definition. If X is like watching a movie in 480p, Reckless is the same film remastered in crisp 4K. It is sharper, clearer, and more vivid in every detail.

This is a great fragrance, and it is nearly identical to Clive Chrisitan X for Men. If you were to blindfold me, I wouldn't be able to tell the difference. If you like this composition, then flip a coin and confidently choose one of the two. They both are ridiculously expensive and their performance is similar: longevity is average (but better with X) and they sit close to the skin (especially Reckless). Reckless is a touch earthier, and I'm sure Roja would say his ingredients are higher quality. On the other hand, X offers more dry, natural cinnamon ... but these are minor nuances. I scored X a perfect 10/10, so in fairness, Reckless would earn the same. If originality or longevity matter to you, then subtract accordingly. I purchased X, because I tried it first and it was love at first sniff. One note of caution: I grow anosmic to Reckless quickly. For that reason, I would suggest that you sample both.

Cinnamon, spice, sweetness. A woody backdrop. Stays pretty linear to me. It's a seductive, date night scent. Girls tend to really like it and I've had a lot of compliments, both at work (which I really wouldn't recommend this for!) and in a night out scenario. Moderate to good longevity for me...maybe 5-7 hours where it's easily noticeable and projects about a foot away for maybe 2-3 hours. If you want this effect and can't afford X or Reckless try Costume National Homme. I'm shocked it's isn't one of the comparative scents as they are very similar after you get through the sharp opening on the Costume National, also a great date scent. A 9.0/10 for me. Worth getting your nose on.

I own X and i love X to an unhealthy extent and while i recognize X as the OG, given the fact that it’s over 10 years older and as a diehard fan, i still want to have a bottle of reckless and despite everything have to give a slight edge to reckless. This juice is superb, literally. There is something in the base of reckless that gives it a smoother blend feel that i simply prefer over X. I cant put my finger on what it exactly is. All that being said, X is an 11/10 and Reckless an 11,1/10 so both absolutely top tier choices. If i had it like that, i would use both as my signature. For now they remain special occasion or night out.

Uber masculine, woody spicy fragrance, that comes off mature without being dated. This is not for 20 somethings, but for a man whose has seen life, the good, the bad, victories, and losses. It's not pretentious, but projects a confidence without screaming, "Look at me, Look at me." Opens with beautiful lemon citrus opening, then the cinnamon and bay leaf comes through finally settling down to a spicy, woody, tonka, incensey base and in characteristic Roja fashion a bit of skank, just the slightest. I would classify this a fougere fragrance rather then a chypre. Projection is excellent and longevity amazing.

This is really nice and quite unique creation. The smell is not exactly what you would expect based on note breakdown. You can pick up some green and coniferous notes along with something aromatic in the opening. Dry down seems to be the best part where I can recognise labdanum and oakmoss creating this dark aroma. But sadly it sits close to the skin. it is mature, luxurious and exquisite experience, easy to be worn in any situation. Performance could be a little bit better though. Other than that, love. Scent: 9/10 Performance: 6/10 Versatility: 8/10

Smelling Reckless and X for men side by side i can detect lot of differences the fruity aspect is more pronounced in X for men but the spicy woody aspects is what i get the most out of Reckless but when i first sprayed Reckless i immediately thought of X for men. For me i feel Reckless is the superior perfume but i wish it lasted and projected a bit more. 29-OCT-2019

This is definitely a very close scent to Clive Christian's X Men, i sprayed them on my arm for comparison and Clive is a bit more dry Reckless is a bit creamier. I think women can pull this off as well depending on skin chemistry, on my skin this is very unisex. 10/10 I enjoy Scandal parfum as well, very sexy creamy lavender, Roja definitely knows what he's doing

While all the YouTube reviewers are busy focussing on Enigma, it is Reckless, Danger and Fetish that show off Roja’s best contributions to male perfumery. This is a stunning, fresh, spicy, green, woody fragrance of incredible depth and quality.

Okay, Roja Dove has now become the best Perfumer of all time, in my eyes. This is great!

IT. Si tratta di una recensione unica per tutti i 7 profumi da uomo di Dove Roja, che ho ricevuto da una boutique di Roja in Inghilterra in qualità dei campioni di 2ml di puro profumo. Beh, cosa posso dire... non mi dispiace di aver sprecato €162 per soddisfare la mia curiosità. Quindi, in ordine: 1. Prima di tutto, il più famoso e pubblicizzato profumo di Roja - Diaghilev non assomiglia comunque, a Mitsouko, o a una miscela degli altri profumi di Guerlain, come spesso può essere trovato nei vari recensioni, però, nelle sue note iniziali è leggermente ricorda l'apertura di Vol de Nuit (sotto una forma del profumo puro), solo che Diaghilev, secondo me, sia più debole e con qualche strana amarezza che per fortuna scompare dopo circa un'ora. Anche se in generale non è male, ma non vorrei indossarlo, come non vorrei indossare gli altri 5 di 7 profumi da uomo di Roja che io abbia ricevuto, l'eccezione sarebbe Roja Scandalo pour homme. 2. Nüwa, come si aspettava dalla lista degli ingredienti, puzza francamente di cumino ed è proprio insopportabile. E 'una sorta di soffocante fetore di uomini sudati in una concentrata miscela dell'odore di mandorle. 3. Fetish e Reckless sono buoni comunque, ma poi, come spesso succede coi profumi di Roja, Fetish, secondo me, assomiglia come un gemello a Interlude Man di Amouage, mentre Interlude non costa € 500, ma molto meno. Insomma, Fetish e Reckless sono buoni profumi, ma, come dirlo, sono un puro esempio di "troppo". Sono un sacco di cose di troppo. Per questo, credo, che i ricchi consumatori russi li adorano. 4. Di Enigma e Danger non vorrei nemmeno parlare - sono 2 noiose fragranze legnose. In una parola può descrivere l'arte dei profumi di Roja come le opere nel genere Rococò: sono molto intensi, tutto sempre viene creato in stretta conformità con le leggi della profumeria di lusso, ogni dettaglio è preso in considerazione, ma... è troppo, non è nel posto giusto e in generale sono i soldi sprecati solo per il nome di Roja. Comunque, se un giorno, nonostante questa mia recensione, qualcuno deciderebbe di regalarmi qualche profumo di Dove Roja, allora certamente preferirei Roja Scandal. Quest'ultimo almeno, il più originale e, al tempo stesso, più stabile profumo di tutta la linea maschile. Diaghilev, per esempio, nella sua nuova configurazione si evapora abbastanza presto. Mentre stavo scrivendo questa recensione, i 7 profumi messi in prova sono arrivati alla base della loro piramide olfattiva e ho deciso di aggiungere alla conclusione che tutti loro, tranne Scandal hanno completato la loro trasformazione ad un di tutto normale nota legnosa, come succederebbe anche nel caso della maggior parte degli fragranze maschili ad un prezzo di € 50 per una bottiglia da 100 ml. Perciò, spero che il tempo dedicato a leggere questa mia recensione vi sia passato in modo molto più utile del mio, sprecato per conoscere i lavori di Dove Roja.

EN. This is a general review for all 7 men's fragrances by Dove Roja, which I received from his boutique in Harrods (London) as 2ml pure perfume samples. Well, what can I say about... I'm sorry I wasted $210 just to satisfy my curiosity. So, in order of things: 1 First of all, the most famous and most publicized Dove Roja's perfume - Diaghilev doesn't smell like, Mitsouko, or like a mixture any the other Guerlain's fragrances, as can often be found in the various review here, however, in its initial notes it slightly reminiscences the opening of Vol de Nuit (pure perfume edition), Diaghilev, as to me, is weaker and with some strange bitterness, which fortunately disappears after about an hour. Well, in general is not bad, but I would not wear it, as I would not wear the other 5 of 7 men's fragrances from Roja that I have received, the exception would be Roja's Scandal pour homme. 2 Nüwa, as I expected from the list of ingredients, smells hard of cumin and frankly is just unbearable. It 'a kind of suffocating stench of sweaty men in a concentrated mixture of almonds. 3 Fetish and Reckless are good anyway, but then, as often happens with Roja's perfume, Fetish to me smells like a twin of Interlude Man by Amouage, while Interlude doesn't cost $600, but much less. I mean that Fetish and Reckless are good and high quality perfumes, but, I would say, that they are a pure example of what does "too much" means. I believe, that this is the reason why wealthy Russian consumers love them, because they have to show off the money. 4. About Enigma and Danger I wouldn't even talk - they are just 2 boring woody fragrances. If I need to describe in one sentence the style of perfumes by Roja I would call the Rococo genre: they are very intense, everything is always created in strict accordance with the laws of luxury perfumery, every detail is taken into consideration, but it's too much, it's not in the right place and in general you wasted your money just for the name and authority of Dove Roja. However, if one day, despite this review, someone would decide to give me a perfume by Roja, I would certainly prefer Scandal by Roja. This one, at least, is the most original and, at the same time, more stable perfume of the whole male line. Diaghilev, for example, in its new configuration evaporates too soon. While I was writing this review, all 7 fragrances are arrived to their olfactory pyramid base and I decided to add in the conclusion that all of them, except Scandal have completed their transformation to a very regular woody note, as happens to the most men's fragrances that cost from $50 to $90 for a bottle of 100 ml. Therefore, I hope that the time you find to read this my review was spent much useful than mine, wasted to discover Dove Roja's perfumery art.

Lovely scent, sillage is not as potent as some describe. I do not get citruses but I can definitely distinguish the bay leaves, the clove, the cardamom, labdanum and the lovely vetiver. This is a complex fragrance that develops really nicely in time, ingredients are so well balanced that at no point in time you can pinpoint any ingredient overpowering another. It is like a scents manège where clove, ginger and cinnamon chime in every now and then on a dark background of moss, wood, musk and the leathery labdanum. I could swear there is ambergris in it although it is not listed. Scent: 8/10 Longevity: 7/10 Sillage: 7/10 Cost ratio: 0/10 Overall: 5.5/10 Don't be Reckless save your money.

A domineering wet vetiver note over bay leaf, spices and cypress. Distinct oakmoss and ginger in the undertone. The rest, as far as I can tell, is master-crafted nuance. Really, objectively a 😍. I’m going strictly on how the scent vibes with me. This is a refined and mature wear. Balanced and harmonious. Subdued but still packs a punch. Sillage is mild, but definitely there. The scent resonates just off the skin. Dressed up is the ideal condition, but can just as well be worn in more casual settings. This is a man who is 40/50+

I was really rooting for this one. It’s too warm spicy, and I wanted more aromatic. Like most Roja fragrances this is smoothly blended. Perhaps, it is too smooth. This fragrance smells a little flat. Reckless is spending retail price for this fragrance.

It's both completely unnecessary and unnecessarily expensive

Very sound fragrance again by Roja. It's not easy to tell what you are getting at first but it does seem to be a very slightly sweetened mixture of all the notes listed above It's a little woody, but never harsh nor pungent at all, very slightly boozy (maybe?) and some cinnamon, bay and the others I can detect. I don't quite get the unbound X comparisons. I find Reckless to be cleaner, more refreshing yet smoother and much more refined than the Clive christian. The note pyramid makes it appear far more green than it actually is (for me) to the point I had been refusing to even sampling it as I was sure it would not be down my alley. The Quality is superlative and the whole mixture modern and extremely refined; it has that 'expensive smell' where all key elements of woods, bits of resin, and buttery orris roots and the greens have been balanced and sweetened to make it almost mass appeal. It's also very smooth, never getting 'prickly' or that annoying powdery vibe The scent during the later drydown does get distinctively woodier instead of straight sweeter or balsamic / resinous, so I don't quite prefer that but the quality is so good and other notes like the sweeter resins still balanced that it is a rare case of being ignorable for the greater good this time. The hidden draw of this scent is the Styrax-incense accord. It's amazing here in the drydown,, subtly sweet yet gentle but present and assuring. Or maybe it's another similar note (some are suggesting Ambergris?) but whatever it is, it's nice and paired with the most gentle of sweetish incenses, it's bordering Magnificent! It's not the perfect one for me but very rounded and good effort by Roja and a Great signature scent definitely. I may hunt around for a decant =) My rating: 6/10 Quality: 10/10

Everybody likes the guy that works hard but nobody likes the guy that tells you how hard they work. A tale fitting for the only ordained professor in the world of fragrances. That title alone should tell you everything you need to know about Roja Dove the person. Some may refer to his level of arrogance as Reckless. What a great segue to the actual topic. Say what you want about the man but he can make some damn fragrances! Note wise, this is a Reckless mixture of accords. Opens as a musky bay leaf dipped in bergamot juice. A stingy dose of labdanum gives it a ambery presence but not too sweet. Musky cloves start the process of elimination as it pertains to the lavender, but the lavender is never truly eliminated. It hovers like a condor swooping in at different times to remind you of that unmistakable masculine touch. Incense starts to emerge as Reckless goes into a slightly oriental direction. Not long after, the smoky elements disappears and what's left is something less than a cavalcade of aromatics. As always consider the price.....

Heard this is in the Clive C: X genre? Paused the review, had to let that one sit for a while, right? Rationally processing a guess of that X the Roja way? Is not something one just goes about their day with, like nothing happened. Instant purchase decision, major respect on how Roja gives back to, so like long time official website patrons, big time r there. Think a smokey X, Bergamot, Cardamom, Cinnamon, Cloves heavy, solid, very elegant, distinct stages, opens up with florals and fruits, but bitter-woddy from the top as well. After which builds itself smokey, like a smoke effect though, notes blend, not actually a smokey perfume. Surpassed expectation, can't wait for further surprises on this because it's a lot going on.

This scent doesn't surprise you. See the note brakedown and you get as advertised. Have you tried Roja's Vetiver? Ok they don't smell the same, but they act the same way. Vetiver is floral and grassy that turns earthy. Reckless is floral that turns into a spicy and woody scent that's definitely leaning more mature and masculine. No doubt that this is niche quality with alot of depth to it when you smell it. Because of that spicy backbone to a floral scent, this could be a year round scent. Be aware though, like most Roja's watch your sprays. Floral notes tends to be the most nose piercing because of their dry and squeeky smell. Based on my experience.

Let me start by saying that I am a big fan of Roja Parfums. It’s probably my favorite house despite the ridiculous prices. Reckless is one of the few Roja fragrances I don’t own and that’s primarily because I have a bottle of Clive X. In my opinion, Reckless is the worst thing a Roja fragrance could be. It is incredibly boring. In addition to its blandness, it doesn't perform very well (I get around 5-6 hours on my skin). Clive X on the other hand lasts all day and then some. It is a far more interesting fragrance and exudes masculinity. In my view, Clive X is streets ahead of Reckless. Therefore, forget Reckless and buy Clive X.

RD Reckless is an invitation to treat oneself or in turn tempt oneself with abandon. The former being most advisable as to overapply Reckless could be an all around bad idea to those in the same vicinity. One to two sprays max, anymore and the greaseball macho 80's vibe is let out of the bottle and good luck in putting it back in. Although, one spray or so and a solid virile masculinity presents itself with perfect grace and presence. Reckless would be quite something in an intimate situation with body heat releasing the cool green leaf and orris notes in a manner which enhances all things physical and primal. 8/10

This fragrance by far is amazing, i like it's originality and it's amazing correspondence with the name. once i sniffed it i felt the rebellionity and the recklessness of a man who is nasty and dirty good! elegant but playable, masculine and virile in away that made him admirable to all! the main dirt was the Henna note that made it naughty accompanying the cardamon and the dirty cinnamon that mixed with bay leaves & cloves and results in the henna effect. it is amazing although it's quite expensive. this is NEVER repetitive and it's quality is amazing. At last i am resembled :D

Starts w a very faint lemon and a explosive bayleaf and Green Cardemon the rest is just magic, there is so much naturals in this that it changes dependig on the surounding and skin, but Its always aromatic spicy fresh lavender, sometimes the labdanum is more prominent and it leans towards a middle eastern scent, and sometimes the vetiver dominates and it leans more classic cypress, this is a real treat to own Its a 10/10 scent top , Its very masculine and on my skin Its a god 10 hrs smelling and projecting mildly at a arms lenght after the first 4 hrs.

I love CC X and discovered it before RD Reckless ... there are similarities but Reckless is smoother, less pepper and sour fruit / berry notes in the opening. I enjoy them both so very much. I feel sexy AF when I wear either. BTW the first review here at the very bottom ... can you say H8er?! OMG sounds like a scorned lover and just not very accurate whatsoever IMO having tried all of the mentioned RD parfums. If you like CC X or RD Reckless then I also suggest Puredistance M ... I own FB of them all.

Recognize the complex Roja opening and they doubled up on nuanced on that Reckless. Spectrum gathering, sheer abundant, own superaccord hits fun glamorous. Mid partially moves it to the Roja manlies as keeping the bubbly elegance going. This changed, from the initial, purchase reason: Clive X I guess similarity, matured now into added fireworks festive type masculine, extra accords popping on top of already neat established.

Such an underrated scent. Extremely gentlemenly. The scent is like an ashtray (probably the artimisia blended with other notes) in a good way, with a vannilic and jasmine undertone without it being feminine. A little bit creamy. I don't find it similar to Clive Christian x. This doesn't smell like anything on the market but it's style does. Not for the younger guys although it's not too retro or outdated.

Have you ever smelled cypress wood scented with cinnamon? I hadn't either. I haven't missed much, have I? The finish is a complete mess; they've just put in whatever they could find. But overall, it's not a bad smell. If you ask who this scent would suit, or who you'd smell it coming from, well, maybe a priest in a black robe smells like this. I've never smelled a priest in a black robe :)

Dark and spicy fougere with piercing green herbal aromatics. Never boring. When I wear it presents exquisite balance between freshness and spice. Manly and a little bit fierce, dramatic and poetic. In my mind associates with Edgar Alan Poe works and dark post-metal. Doomy but gentlemanly at the same time. When you rock it you feel like the life's main character.

Cypress's green start, Bay Leaf's sour taste is very refreshing. About 1 hour spices invade (Cinnamon, Black Pepper, Ginger, Cardamom, Incense): warm, pungent with a bitter taste like Absinth, actually Wormwood, this is when the projection is most intense. Dry down Clay, clean scent, suitable for luxurious party.

Beautiful cinammon/cypress fragrance. Similar to Clive Christian X for men ( created 2001, way before this). I can detect clove and cardamom too, however it leaves a rancid smell few minutes after application, not sure if it is related to the labdanum

I reviewed reckless some time ago but recently sold it. It smells lovely; characteristically masculine, heavy but airy, and a definite Roja Dove creation. I sold it solely as it’s a scent profile not suited to my everyday taste.

Clove, leather, patchouli, cardamom, labdanum, incense and lemon curd. Definitely a cousin to Fetish but feels more accessible.
